Decorated and appointed to a high standard, this Victorian town house is fitted with modern amenities and provided a "home from home" welcome on arrival. Spacious rooms, and furnished to a high standard, the property is highly recommended. Coupled with "finishing touches" such as a quality welcome pack (for both the visitor and pet dog!) you felt welcome from the moment of arrival. Parking was easy, and the property is within reasonable walking distance of the town centre. There are a couple of convenience stores close by also. The owners clearly make a real effort to create the welcome...more
Outstanding property. The owners thought of everything. Great location and so lucky with the weather. A great time was had by all.
We had a lovely time at Rosemary Cottage. Our first visit to Northumberland and we will definitely be back soon. The cottage is lovely in a beautiful location, nestled in a small hamlet surrounded by fields and a short drive to the beach at Bamburgh. It was wet and windy during our stay but we found plenty to do and explore nearby. On the odd clear day we had views from the garden out to Holy Island and beyond.
Great location, homely but modern, very comfortable beds and a balcony to sit and watch/listen to the birds. There is a view of the castle and you can walk to the beach in around half an hour on quiet roads. The location itself is nice and peaceful and Bamburgh is five minutes by car. Plenty of parking at the cottage and ample toiletries provided. Nice fluffy towels and a handy utility room. A lovely home from home! We will return next year.
Beautiful apartment overlooking Amble Marina. We were super lucky with the weather but a great apartment irrespective of that. Nicely fitted out and perfect for those liking to do some cooking of their own as the kitchen was well equipped. Close to lovely pubs and restaurants for those not wanting to cook too. The Marina view was stunning with lots of bird life. We have already booked our next stay!
This was a return stay at Holburn Mill Cottage and it was first class again. Alan and Christine make guests feel very welcome and the cottage is a perfect place to get away and relax.
First visit to Alnwick for my wife and myself. North Star apartments absolutely perfect for us. Very comfortable home from home apartment with many extras. Spotless clean. Well equipped. Very welcoming and friendly hosts who provided lots of information about the property, restaurants/pubs, places to visit which was very appreciated. Apartments is within short walking distance of Alnwick Castle and town amenities. Coquet cottages also very good throughout the booking process. I downloaded the Free Digital Guidebook where's there's lots of important and useful information which I found ve...more
The cottage was an excellent place to stay. It was in a good position as it was a short 15 minutes walk into Seahouses with all its shops and amenities. The cottage was in a very quiet and peaceful area surrounded by lovely countryside. A perfect place for relaxing. The cottage itself was extremely clean and comfortable. It was well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds really comfortable. The teenagers loved the snug and retreated in there after busy days exploring where they could enjoy using the playstation. There was lots of informatio...more
This was our first stay at Nightfold Cottage but it won't be our last. It is a charming cottage with all you need for a perfect stay. It is characterful, warm and welcoming. It is convenient for all the local amenities. It is a good base from which to explore the beautiful Northumberland.
We all felt completely at home as soon as we stepped into Oyster Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Location is great for everything. The hamper was greatly received and the personal touches make you feel welcomed, especially the bag of doggy treats . We would definitely come back and stay here again.
Grey Hens has a lovely feel and is perfect for a couple and a dog - local footpaths for the evening walk - the hills and the coast for longer morning walks. Cragside is always worth a visit. Even though the weather was inclement we had a very pleasant stay and will be back to the area sooner than later. thanks Paul
Lovely property with lots of homely touches. It was spotless and well equipped. Very nice, helpful owner. Good location for exploring the area and having the pigs, goats, horses etc on our doorstep was lovely.
Lovely house, very welcoming very good postion for the beach. The landings cafe was great. Beach walks were great.
This was our second stay at Brada House and it did not disappoint as seen by our markings above. We would definitely recommend this property and Coquet Management to others. We hope to return again next year.
The Gin Gan is a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage. Attention to detail is amazing. It’s an ideal location for exploring Northumberland and I highly recommend it.
The Dukes is comfortable, modern, warm with everything we needed for self catering. The welcome hamper was the best ever - so generous. Very convenient for exploring the town and further afield. We had a great holiday in Northumberland with a trip to Edinburgh by train for a day.
Alnwick Castle View was the perfect apartment for a couple, comfortable bed and pillows, lovely bathroom, relaxing living area and everything you'd need in the kitchen. Location was just a short walk from Alnwick Castle, Gardens, Barter Books and the shops/cafes etc. so didn't always need the car - could leave it in the allocated parking space.
Beautifully clean. Lovely hosts and thoughtful items in welcome pack. Car essential. Some good attractions to visit within short drive
This is our second visit to this cottage so I suppose it says it all .It is still presented in the best possible way clean bright and welcoming ,with two perfect hosts
This was our 3rd visit to Highfield and it was as good as ever. The house is beautifully presented, very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy and has amazing views. The welcome basket was very generous including delicious homemade brownies. Excellent communication with the owner, checking everything was ok but in now way intrusive which is just what you want. The location is perfect, with plenty of destinations within 30 minutes whether you go North, South or head inland, but Highfield is so welcoming you might not want to leave the house at all.
A lovely comfortable home. Wonderful views and great to be so near the sea and harbour. The house was very well equipped.
We spent a little more than usual for our October break but our stay at The Alba was truly worth every penny. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We wanted a relaxing break and love the sea. The view and accessibility to the beach was excellent. Even on the stormy days the sea was mesmerising. We visit Northumberland frequently and never tire of visiting the coastal villages all were in easy reach of the location. Facilities for eating and drinking within walking distance and plenty of local shops for daily requirements. Also all essential equipment fo...more
The most relaxing holiday. Totally luxurious in every way. A real home from home.Beautiful garden, comfy beds, loved Alexa in each room too. We will be back soon.
The views of the Tyne valley on our daily walk from the cottage were fantastic. The hosts were really lovely and provided great local information on walks and eating places. The cottage was great with good facilities, providing everything we needed. Although we had to curtail our stay unexpectedly we will certainly return
Pelican Loft is a beautiful apartment situated right in the centre of Warkworth. We have stayed with Coquet cottages over eight times in cottages and this place is one of our favourites....ideal for the two of us . It is beautifully decorated to a high standard and well equiped ...we loved it .
What a beautiful, beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean, so comfortable - a little bit of luxury. The perfect spot to visit all the wonderful places Northumberland has to offer. A very special part of the country.
This is a hidden gem of a properry. We have stayed in other property with Coquet and with other companies this one is special! The owners were attentive and helpful too. On entering the house it smelled divine and was spotlessly clean. There was a generous welcome hamper including one for our dog which was very much appreciated. Every comfort has been considered from the two lounges and seating in the dining kitchen. Larger groups would have no arguments as there were TVs in each ground floor room! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with very comfy beds with superb bathrooms wit...more
The house was fantastic and the attention to detail was beautiful. The hosts Lisa and Richard were superb responsive and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay.
This lovely cottage had everything we needed for our break away. We had a warm welcome and the host’s were available if we needed them. The information we received prior to our visit contained everything we needed to know. It was beautifully presented and had everything we needed. The location is as beautiful as the cottage and we would happily book again.
This is our second time staying at the Hayloft and it didn’t disappoint. Plenty of space for 8 people, well stocked with kitchen essentials and games. Wonderful welcome basket. Great location for exploring Northumberland. Would definitely recommend
We have just spent a relaxing few days here. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully warm with a lovely welcome hamper. Lorraine was most helpful and we were easily able to get around to all the places we wanted to visit.
Lovely well stocked house All the comforts of home. Quiet area and great location Highly recommended for families and couples. Dog friendly
Lovely single story house in a nice village. The house was clean, spacious, cosy and very well appointed with interesting ornaments (including little hedgehogs)
Lovely old house which has been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. Everything you could possibly want with excellent extras such as welcome pack and toiletries. The location for the beach and the several welcoming pubs and shops couldn’t be better.
This holiday apartment was right in the midst of things in Amble. Lovely coffee shop/food place next door. Artisan ice cream next door. Market and further restaurants 5 min walk away. High St about 6 min walk away. Easy walk to Walkworth. Stunning views. Apartment well equipped, although could do with a cafetiere as we don't all have pods to bring. The welcome pack was very well stocked apart from the spread Willow which is really for baking, and the cake could have been more local than Mc Vities. Everything else was great. This is one of the most stunning coastlines of Britain.
This accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook at home. The bed is so comfy. The house is warm and very comfortable. The hosts are kind, friendly and considerate. All the best places to visit (Cragside, Bamburgh, Amble, etc) are all within easy reach. Wonderful time had!
We had a wonderful week long stay at the beautiful Cowslip Barn at Cavil Head Farm. The hosts contacted us the next morning after arrival to check everything was perfect, which was a nice touch. The house itself is stunning and peaceful with views over the countryside. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and the decor is of a very high standard. There is so much to do within a short car journey. We would recommend you talk a walk along any of the local beaches, or a stroll around Amble or Warkworth. Further afield Alnwick is well worth a trip. In terms of eating out The Masons Arms and Bertr...more
This is our second stay at Rebecca House it works well for us with 5/6 adults staying as there are 3 bathrooms. Plenty of seating in the lounge which we have had a problem with in the past. Very well equipped kitchen with plenty of cups plates glasses etc. Price wise comparable to others but wouldn’t want to pay anymore. Location perfect for us..some nice places to eat and walk if you don’t want to take the car out. Big plus is they allow us to take Oscar our Labrador who also loves it! I’m sure we will be using again (although not entirely happy with the booking agent)
What a wonderful week we had in this stunning home. The house was absolutely beautiful with amazing views from the lounge. It was clean and had everything we could need for a home from home. This was a great location for Amble and for exploring the surrounding areas. The little touches of the welcome hamper for ourselves and our dog were very welcome. We would definitely recommend and will look forward to returning again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at Copperfield House and hope to return in the future. It was in an excellent location, an easy walk to the town centre. The house was very comfy and spotlessly clean, we loved the log burner and the copper bath was sheer luxury. I've stayed in many holiday cottages and this was one of the best. Alnwick has plenty going on and it well worth a visit.
Alnmill Cottage was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable furniture and beds. Shower was great which is rare in a holiday cottage…but so important. There were little touches that were great and finally location was excellent. You have probably guessed we had a fantastic holiday
We had a wonderful stay in Hemingways. What a superb apartment. Perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Exceptional on all levels and one we will most definitely book again
Puffin Burrows was a delight to stop at. There was everything you could have needed in the property. It was very clean and a great standard. The welcome hamper was delightful. We would 100% stay there again. We also went on a boat trip to farne islands which was great and well worth it, but wrap up it's cold. Bamburgh castle was great also.
House was great, location very good, lots of options for food and drink. Nice village in general. Thanks
Our first reaction on entering this property was WOW.The property itself is stunning as is the view and the owner has thought of everything. We not only chose it for it’s position but also as we are both in our 70s the fact it has a lift is a real bonus.A short stroll took us to many restaurants and we also used the bus to outlying villages and towns. Will definitely return hopefully in the near future.
The house is well located for Northumberland coast and country and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed in a better equipped apartment. Everything in good condition and working as expected. There was an excellent welcome basket provided by the very friendly hosts as well, again probably the best we’ve experienced yet. There’s plenty of sofa space for everyone and the mezzanine was a great little hideaway for the younger member of our party. Hot tub was a great touch and very relaxing after a day out and about. Location wise it’s very ...more
We have stayed in this penthouse before and loved it, which is why we came back to stay there again. The views are fabulous, the apartment is lovely and we could happily live there, which says it all.
A lovely homly cottage, great to meet up with family. Plenty of space so you don’t feel on top of one another. Loved the spinning globe in the landing window. Lots of lovely places to eat out within walking distance.
Had a lovely stay at the Cottage, super location and a lovely warm and welcoming interior. The welcome packs for ourselves and the dog we're super and a lovely touch. We will definitely look to return.
Wonderful stay at Victoria Cottage beginning with the perfect location facing the river , quiet and peaceful , parking space at side of house or in bays at front . Upon entering spacious , clean and welcoming , everything you needed has been provided and well thought about . The welcome basket was lovely and the Lemon Drizzle just the best …. Thank You. Cottage very homely and comfortable with everything available to make a great stay, all of good quality. The garden lovely and very safe. Great welcome pack. The owners have thought about how to offer a special holiday. Would love to stay again.
We booked Fieldside House as our base accommodation for my wedding taking place at Bamburgh. The house was clean, warm, welcoming and spacious and accommodated our family of 6 adults, 1 toddler and a dog beautifully. The facilities were exactly was what needed. The welcome hamper on arrival was much appreciated and the chest of games and toys for my little boy was very much appreciated. Having access to netflix as standard was a great distraction for the little one especially when trying to get ready for the day ahead! There was plenty to seating and the kitchen made family dining a pleasure. ...more
This is a lovely house in an excellent location adjacent to the river so the view is gorgeous. The house is well appointed and we spent most of our time in the large spacious kitchen which gives access to the garden and views to the river. The only disappointment is the lack of wardrobe in the second bedroom - the hooks on the wall are insufficient in my view.
Lost count of how many times we have stayed in Seafarers but we keep coming back! We made the mistake of staying in one of the other apartments in the block when we missed out on the weeks we wanted earlier in the summer; an inferior spec for the same price! So glad to get two weeks in September. When the sun shines there is no place better and when the weather is poor it’s the place to kick back and relax. We will definitely return asap!
We had to find a cottage at short notice as our house renovations were delayed. The staff at Coquet Cottages are superb and helped make the arrangements so efficiently and kindly. The house itself is lovely; characterful, warm and cosy. It is in a great location, walkable to a wonderful beach and with excellent amenities in the village. We felt really at home and our dogs settled in immediately and loved the house and garden. This is our favourite part of Northumberland and our favourite house...I have already recommended it to family! thank you
A wedding anniversary break, this place is amazing for that special break, or any break. The venue was clean, tidy, warm and the welcoming hamper was a great surprise. Located within easy walking of the many pubs, eateries and shops, this is an ideal place to explore Alnwick and the surrounding area.
Gravies was clean comfortable and well equipped, the information provided by Coquet cottages was as usual helpful clear and friendly.
We loved our stay at Pine Cone Hideaway to celebrate our anniversary. It was set in a lovely garden with a stunning view into the woodland that we could spend hours gazing at. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding luxurious. There were lots of nice touches including a welcome hamper for us and one for our dog. Two log burners was a real treat. The roll top bath was lovely. All in all, a wonderful stay to celebrate our anniversary.
The accommodation was very welcoming with a wonderful welcome hamper not only for us but for our little dog. This set the tune for a memorable stay. Everything about Hotspur Cottage oozed quality. Beautiful bedding and a mattress that showed us that we definitely need an upgrade. The shower room was great, with a shower worthy of the name and fragrant shower gel provided. The kitchen was equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need and some items we didn’t know we needed too. Comfortable seating and a lovely area in which to eat. Literally a home from home. ...more
We were here last November & liked the place so much we decided to return. Just a lovely place in a good location.
Throstle Cottage provided is on paper with what we needed for our week away with our dog. On arrival, it far exceeded expectations! The layout of the cottage on a single level was perfect for us and our rescue dog as she felt close to us throughout the stay and settled quickly. The cottage had everything needed in terms of equipment and added extra touches, like places to put jewellery, torches, and a lovely welcome basket. Appliances all worked beautifully. The gardens were fully enclosed & parking at the front of the property was easy. Lesbury is very pretty and a great base from which to vi...more
Fuchsia cottage is perfect. It is very comfortable with everything provided. The beds are extremely comfortable, the living room is cosy with a gorgeous log burner and the kitchen/diner is spacious and well-equipped. The cottage has a pretty garden which catches the sun, even during our stay in October. The owner is welcoming - they left a hamper for our arrival and sent a text to check all was ok. The cottage is well-placed for exploring the beautiful area.
After being wary about our last stay booked through Coquet Cottages we couldn't be more pleased. The property exceeded our expectations and was more than welcome were expecting. Beautiful property in an excellent location, with everything on the doorstep. Highly recommend this property that was furnished and cleaned to a high standard. Fantastic welcome hamper and our doggy hamper was also well received. The owners dropped us a text to ensure we had settled in and had everything we needed and offered to adjust the heating remotely. We have had a very relaxing holiday here in Harebell House. The house is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We really appreciated the welcome hamper and complementary toiletries.
The Shiel was a perfect location slightly off the beaten track ,but great for getting anywhere as just off A1, very peaceful. A warm cosy place to stay well thought out providing a perfect home from home (I would have been happy there even on an inclement day ) Kitchen provided everything you needed ,beds and sofas were comfy .We even managed to sit in the garden one afternoon.
The cottage was lovely like home from home for comfort and we'll situated for lots of places. We used the kota barbaque which was great and kitted out with everything needed. Lovely beaches and weather was great as well. Great week and would go back again.
Terrific 4 night stay. Quiet and secluded with comfortable beds; well equipped kitchen and lovely welcome basket. Only a short stroll to the fabulous beach; walking distance to the Lord Crewe for supper. Best spot; very private with great view of the castle esp at sunset. Sunny days and clear nights gave us spectacular views of the Milky Way! Always assured that Coquet Cottages keep their standards high; great attention to detail and friendly customer care. Car parking was excellent; one numbered, undercover space and always found a visitor space for our friend’s car. Word of warning: securi...more
Three generations enjoyed the holiday. Spacious house and garden allowed us to have time together but also a quiet area could be found if desired. Utility room great for coats, shoes and drying if rainy. A good holiday home with well equipped kitchen.
We enjoyed a fabulous week at the Old Manse. Layout was perfect, with each room having its own bathroom (top one a bit dated but others good and smallest bedroom has the biggest bathroom with a lovely spa bath!), lots of downstairs space, a utility room and space for muddy/sandy shoes and coats at the front door. The kitchen is very well equipped- lots of glasses, plates, dishes and kitchen equipment and a large fridge/freezer and it is more sociable than it looks in the pictures, because it is right next to the dining room (which is beautiful when the fire is on). Kota hut is brilliant, but...more
An absolutely beautiful cottage that was perfect for our holiday. Everything was amazing and we loved the gorgeous hamper and beautiful flowers.
A lovely house with every home comfort. Very rural location with about 10 miles to main shops. Highly recommended.
beautiful bedroom perfect could not have wished for better.the living area a bit gloomy could have used a better lighter coulours to make the most of the light shared courtyard a bit sad bins not emptied.
We had the best week staying in Sandpiper with our daughter and husband and grandson. The cottage had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything you would need. There are so many beaches near by and we were very lucky with the weather. There is no better place than the Northumberland coast and a lovely cottage to return to in the evening.
I can't remember if we've stayed in the Quarterdeck 4 or 5 times. We just love the view from the living room. You can sit there no matter what the weather and watch the comings and goings in the marina, and the birds on the mud/sand banks. The apartment has all of the comforts that you would expect - washer, dishwasher etc. Cling film, foil and kitchen roll etc provided. Sofas and beds are comfortable, plenty of storage/hanging space, and a superking bed (or twin) in the main bedroom is a treat for us. Some people have commented on the lack of TVs in the bedrooms, but we would never put the...more
We had an enjoyable stay in Earl’s cottage unfortunately cut short as one of our dogs became seriously ill. It’s in an ideal location and the cottage had everything we would ever need in a holiday cottage. The owner had provided a lovely basket of tasty treats along with milk, butter, tea, coffee etc. and our dogs were given treats and toys and even a drying towel. I would definitely recommend this cottage. The owners have made a huge effort to make this into a very comfortable house to stay in.
Fantasy holiday home, ideally paced for the beach and access to Alnmouth. Everything was perfect love the beautiful lotions in bathroom. Definitely will be back. Thank you
A lovely property in a great location. My second time of using Coquet Cottages and the service is still the same high standard, I wouldn’t hesitate to use again.
We have visited the Alnmouth area for a number of years. This is the first time we have stayed in Lesbury - just a few minutes away. Larch House is a stunning home and we felt at home from the moment we opened the front door. Everything was perfect with everything we could have wanted. Lesbury is a quiet and restful village. The village shop has everything you would need and The Coach Inn is certainly well worth a visit or two. A perfect week in a perfect home.
Lovely well-equipped cottage, ,with beautiful views in an excellent position to explore the Coquet Valley. Good, enclosed garden which our dog loved. Walk directly from the back of the garden onto the surrounding moors.
No logs were provided for the burner, it was hard to keep the house warm as the heating temperature kept being reset. Everyone appreciated all the ensuites and the wonderful garden. Loved our stay and we would have no hesitation in returning.
We had an excellent week at Nursery Cottage, it’s extremely well equipped, a home from home The owners have obviously put a lot of thought and care into providing everything you would need, and a very lovely welcome hamper and flowers were appreciated Very prompt response from Lynn in relation to a minor query
Nice property in a great location in Alnwick. Good customer service from Coquet Cottages and a lovely welcome pack. Heating wasn't always effective and at times the property felt cold. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and living area was a lovely socialising space but would benefit from better lighting.
The settees and bed weren’t the most comfortable. The large dining table is too big for a property sleeping 2-3 people and is a little restrictive to get around. On the plus side the cottage was always warm and in a nice quiet location with a lovely view of the castle, the welcoming hamper was A1.
This is a fabulous place to stay. It's very comfortable and has lovely views over the estuary. It's also very quiet at night so you can sleep well. Alnmouth itself is an attractive town with a surprising number of good places to eat and drink and lots of good walk along the coast in both directions.
Sunny Cottage is just a short walk from where you can park your car on the nearby road, the Butts. The property oozes character but might be challenging if you have mobility issues. The stairs to the first floor are steep with narrow steps on the bends. There's no bannister, but a guide rope on one side and handles on the other for support. The shower is over the bath, and the bath itself is quite deep. If you're comfortable with these aspects, I wholeheartedly recommend Sunny Cottage. On entering, you know immediately that the house is a typical Coquet Cottages property with everything you...more
A delightful venue for our three generation family holiday. The "Welcome Pack" was a lovely touch and everything was spotlessly clean. Would love to return.
The location is wonderful and despite being central the nights were peaceful and time spent in the lovely garden undisturbed. All the rooms were spotless and well appointed.
Lovely spot with everything on the doorstep. The house was really clean and well equipped, we would book again
We had a fab time in the Sewing Room. It’s in the heart of Alnmouth but so cosy, stylish and has its own sheltered and private courtyard. Lovely showers, comfy sofas and all that you need for a pleasant stay. It’s one of the nicest cottages I’ve stayed in - and I’ve stayed in many! Would deffo return.
The cottage had been renovated well but areas were starting to require some tlc. For example lots of wall cracking, some paint needing attention and a few bathroom areas needed some work. A couple of the carpet areas were also in need of cleaning or replacing We found the settee and chair very uncomfortable but maybe that was personal preference. We have stayed in Coquet cottages before and unfortunately this fell a little short of the mark. However the kitchen was lovely and the welcome pack a nice touch. We did also expect more toiletries in the bathroom area.
lovely stay at a very warm and welcoming holiday home. clean, everything we needed in the kitchen. perfect outside space for humans and dogs, realy enjoyed our stay
The Old Coach House in the little village of Warkworth has absolutely everything you need for a short break away. The apartment is centrally located for walks from the door step so once you’ve parked your car you don’t really need to use it again till you are ready to leave. Warkworth has many shops eateries and pubs.. just a short walk away.
A great holiday and wonderful stay in a well appointed and very comfortable cottage. It was warm and inviting, and we didn't have to worry about heating or hot water all week. For me, I didn't really need the tempus mattress topper on what was a very luxurious bed, but otherwise a really lovely comfortable stay. Particular compliments also for the most generous hamper of food that was provided on arrival. The location in Warkworth was ideal; a super base to explore the area, and Warkworth is so pretty, a stunning castle, excellent walks along to Amble on the riverbank, with a number of lo...more

We very much enjoyed our stay at Wild Goose. The directions and instructions made our arrival easy and we were settled quickly. We didn’t get the pet welcome basket I thought we would but we did get a wonderful welcome hamper ourselves which even included fresh flowers and a chocolate cake!! This was our 2nd visit to Wagtail Cottage. It's in a great location for getting around and the cottage has everything you need. The bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch. We will return.
Very good accommodation for the 4 of us, with dogs. Close to the beach. Had a perfect relaxing stay and recommend the cottage to anyone. Thanks to the owner.
Great location for Alnwick (3 min walk to centre)- easy in street parking. Cottage itself is large, spotless and the furniture and decor a cut above other places we've stayed.
Excellent property. Ideally placed to discover Northumberland. Local amenities were good and close at hand. This is our second visit and have already booked for next year.
We are repeat visitors to Riverstone. The reasons we keep returning include: location right by the river is fabulous (wildlife sightings this time included a seal and kingfisher right outside the kitchen), and well tucked away from traffic so lovely and quiet. Overall the house is really clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, and warm and cosy with good central heating and an optional open fire, which we've never needed to use. The owner, Rachel, is very responsive when things need fixing. The reasons we might eventually need to find somewhere else also include the location - not...more
The house had everything we needed for our week in Alnmouth. The house was situated on the edge of the village just a couple of minutes from the beautiful Alnmouth beach. We loved the design of the house and made use of all the facilities including the wood burner. We also had more than adequate crockery and cutlery and other cooking equipment. A beautiful house in a fabulous part of Northumberland. Thank you.
Fabulous accommodation in a wonderfully peaceful location - 30 mins walk into Bamburgh. Ideally situated to tour around Northumberland by car. A quality retreat which is a credit to the owners. Highly recommend.
Well equipped cottage in an ideal location to explore the local beaches. Our 2 dogs loved the garden.
We found The Dunes very suitable for us, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The house is brightly furnished and very comfortable. None of us cook with electricity and we found the induction hob an amusing challenge. We are of a generation who appreciate an instruction book as downloading an app is another even bigger challenge. In Scotland different Councils have different colour coding for refuse bins. More information on waste disposal would be helpful The large lamp in the sitting room did not respond when we tried to switch it on, so we brought a lamp in from a bedroom. We had an enjoyable week at Cherry Tree Cottage. The kitchen and facilities were very good. It's a sizeable property perfect for a family to enjoy. It has a good size garden and a lovely play area just a couple of minutes from the property which can be accessed without crossing the road. Didn't like the HIVE technology for the heating as we had no previous experience. However, used the hand held control unit to operate the Heating manually, with no issues.
The Coasthouse had everything.High tech kltchen. Lovely bedrooms and the most comfortable beds.Livingroom large TV and balcony with view.Weather was great so barbecue and outside area were fantastic.Plenty of room for a family of eight and 2 dogs. Parking for 3 cars a bonus.Beadnell a lovely village with good eating places
We've stayed at an adjacent property before so knew the area and were hopeful that Coquet View would be of a similarly high standard. We weren't disappointed, it was excellent; beautifully furnished and well equipped. The service from the staff at Coquet Cottages is second to none.
Fantastic location and great property- had a fantastic stay. The house has everything you need - would visit again.
This is our second stay in Bay View and we have already booked for next year. This is a most comfortable house , with the most stunning views of the sea. Well looked after by the house keeping team and a lovely welcome pack. Beaches close by and good eating places too.
We have always stayed in Cottages/houses in the last 10 years of staying in Warkworth and this time we chose to stay in one of the apartments through the same company Coquet Cottages. Certainly surprised with how spacious the living space was in The Buttery and we were comfortable with our greyhound and there was plenty of room to relax and watch tv and also good space to have food at the table or on some occasions log on to the computer to deal with emails. The bed we used was extremely comfortable and we thought the decor and appliances were all of good quality making the stay a very...more
A great cottage in a brilliant, quiet location. We really appreciated the welcome hamper too! Thank you
Spotlessly clean, warm & cosy when we arrived. A very generous welcome hamper for humans and dogs, don’t think we’ve had a better one! Superb view of Warkworth Castle and a 10 minute walk from the beach, which we did most days. Bamburgh, Craster & Alnwick all within a reasonably short drive. We have been very happy at The Bridge Barn this week, the dogs are exhausted from all their runs on the beach & will need a week to recover!
Novelist cottage has lots of character and provides a home from home. Easy walk to Alnwick town and a cosy pub (Tanners) a few doors down. Cottage (well, an old school before becoming a library) was clean and tidy with everything you could want for a comfortable break.
Pickwick Cottage in the centre of Alnwick was an excellent choice for us. Parking isn't always easy... but always found a reasonable place. The cottage was clean and very well appointed. Great place to explore Northumberland from. Would highly recommend.
We loved our stay at Sea View , and were particularly lucky to be blessed with super sunny weather for our coastal walks . The Jolly Fisherman pub in Craster was our favourite place for a meal . The house was very comfortable in a quiet location . We really appreciated the welcome hamper provided on our arrival. Plenty to do in the surrounding area .
Lovely stay in the heart of Alnwick. Great location and very close to the Castle, Gardens, Barter Books and local shops, including marketplace. Comfortable and well equipped accommodation.
Cottage beautifully decorated, quirky but very tasteful. Everything there you’d need. Very good welcome pack, fresh flowers a lovely touch Beds comfortable with lovely bed linen. The white company toiletries available Very peaceful and quiet environment Absolutely nothing to fault for us 10/10
This beautifully kept apartment could not be in a more ideal position. It is in the centre of the village with amazing open views of the castle. It is only a short walk through the garden and on to the beach. My elderly father has mobility difficulties so it was all perfect for him.
We enjoyed uor stay;. the cottage is well funished and decorated. when we arrived the welcome package was very welcome indeed, with tea, biscuits, coffee, etc. As none of us had used an induction hob before we would have appreciated some instructions. All the necessary kitchen equipment was provided including a lovely Nespresso coffee machine. The only thing missing was T towels for drying up when we didn't use the dishwasher. The farm setting was lovely and the sound of mooing cattle didn't disturb us neither did the passing trains. The property itself was very dog friendly as promised sadly...more
Such a lovely cottage, very well presented and equipped with everything we needed. Perfect location in beautiful village with excellent community shop and pub down the road and parking on site ( such a bonus) It was a last minute booking and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
It was a nice property but not sure about the building that the flat overlooked as there was trouble one night and police were called so we left 2 days early as it was a bit unsettling. Flat was pretty clean although the balcony was dirty bird droppings etc. bed was super comfy It’s location was good for shops restaurants etc.
Lovely cottage in a peaceful area. Very well equipped kitchen and great social dining space. Living room was bright and sunny with lots of comfortable seating. Gas log burner stove was very welcoming. Bedrooms were well appointed and decor throughout the house was lovely. The best welcome hamper we’ve ever received. This is our 6th different holiday home we have stayed at in Seahouses and was by far the best. Would definitely stay at Puffin Cottage again.
We had a wonderful stay at the boat house, we were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper for both us and our dog. The house is in a great location with Warkworth on the doorstep and Amble and Alnmouth within walking distance. The app is definitely worth downloading, one of the best ideas, provided us with more info than other rental companies we have used.
Last minute decision to have a weekend break. The girls in the office were efficient and helpful. The cottage was welcoming on arrival with lamps on, a nice welcome hamper and flowers. It was small but comfortable for the weekend. Although after an afternoon on the beach it would have been nice to have had some logs for the fire
A lovely big house - ample for our party of 9. Great location for Wooler high street and able to park all 3 cars on the drive. 20/30 mins from the coast. Beds clean & comfortable, plenty of seating downstairs for us all to 'spread out'. Hot tub was a great addition. The property did feel a bit 'tired' in places - garden furniture was in need of some TLC, a lot of the crockery was chipped, glasses mixed in size and shape and we couldn't muster 9 tumblers (mainly wine/prosecco glasses). Plenty of cutlery though. Noting the pets are allowed, we didn't see any evidence of dog hairs etc so th...more
A comfortable stay in a great location. It felt over-priced though and some fixtures and fittings were a bit faded
When we arrived the outward appearance was a little disappointing and didn’t look very inviting. However it is an extremely well equipped cottage with lovely furnishings and the beds were very comfortable. We felt cold some of the time and the water was generally not very hot. As an older couple we couldn’t get down to reach the switches on the electric fire. With all the little steps inside and steep staircase probably more suited to younger couples.
Castle Cottage is in an excellent position to enjoy all that Warkworth has to offer, including pubs, good restaurants and easy access to the beach. It works very well if you have dogs as the floors in the kitchen and sitting room have hard floors and there is access from the back garden into the kitchen. The garden is large enough for children and dogs to enjoy, with lots of seating for eating and enjoying the weather if you’re lucky enough to visit when warm. The house is in good condition and the kitchen well-equipped, with a good-size table and six chairs. It was refreshing to be provided ...more
The Hermitage was a wonderful cottage, beautifully appointed, warm and very well equipped. The upstairs lounge had an amazing picture postcard view of the castle. The perfect place to share with friends or family.
Location great re proximity to beach for dog walking etc Not as well equipped as some and lacks a bit on finishing touches Internal configuration not the best i.e. distance bathroom to bedrooms Outside porch very useful and excellent garden for dogs Overall suited our needs
The Bakers Dozen couldn’t have been more central. It was literally a 5 minute walk to the Castle and on the doorstep to the town. It had everything you would need. It was lovely and warm when we arrived and despite the weather turning cooler we never had to use the heating.
The Rushes was really comfortable with great facilities. The bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen particularly good. Fantastic location - so easy for everything in Warkworth. Directions, instructions and general consideration of what guests need was great. The welcome hamper was fantastic.
Lovely cottage in a great location to enjoy the beautiful beaches and wildlife of Northumberland. Seahouses is very convenient with shops and restaurants and takeaways.
Lovely property with all amenities you would need for any length of stay Location great for central Wooler and access to the Cheviots and surrounding coastline The entrance to property for parking tight despite my recalling same managed to catch side of car. Lovely welcome lights were on which helped navigate the property Great welcome hamper for myself and my 2 dogs and the ginger cake especially appreciated as home made. Overall a very comfortable well appointed property Excellent service and support in booking property
I cannot help but give this place five stars. The customer service began with a phone call in the afternoon of our first day, telling us that the cottage was ready for us. We were walking around the village with a couple of hours to spare, so this was great news. We walked in to fresh flowers, a handmade cake (delicious) and everything else we could wish for. The beds were comfortable, the sofas were comfortable, there were plenty of cups and plates in the kitchen, together with a coffee machine, and lots of books to choose from. We went in the hot tub, and were surprised to find flipflops...more
Tower House is amazing with excellent facilities for a family with small children. The motion sensory lights fittings in the room were a real bonus when you are up during the night. I would highly recommend Tower House and Warkworth beach is a must for all to visit. Hope to be back soon.
Booked for a three generation seaside break. Excellent location. Lovely private courtyard for dog and toddler. Very well equipped kitchen for cooking large family meals Loved the VHS library
This house is the best location ever for accessing Bamburgh, the castle and the beach. Literally 5 mins walk from everything which meant we saw sun rises and sunsets and had early morning and late night swims as the car wasn't needed. The house was clean and tidy on arrival although the pots on the front step would benefit from some nice plants instead of giant weeds and toadstools! However ample parking for the 3 cars we had. A spacious property which allows a family group to spread out and engage in different activities. The garden is quite small and not suitable to children to play in. ...more
Very small but perfectly formed. We enjoyed our stay in Waterside Cottage. It was very well equipped and lovely furnishings. In centre of Bamburgh which we enjoyed.
