Just had a week at Tern Cottage. Really lovely, well equipped and beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen diner is a great light space to chill and play games. Utility room and side door was brilliant if you have dogs to keep them away from carpeted areas. Beds and bedding really comfortable, toiletries smelt lovely. Lots of touches. Great location too for beaches and walks and pubs. Highly recommend.
From using Coquet Cottages 3 months ago, I was confident I was booking with a trusted agency. Riverside House exceeded expectations. Situated in a peaceful location overlooking the river. The property is spacious, original features retained, yet updated with all the modern conveniences to a high end specification.

This is a great house. 4 good sized bedrooms (1 en-suite). Well appointed location and within easy walking distance from Beadnell beach. Would certainly recommend.
We loved our stay here. It is remote which we loved but only a short drive to where we wanted to be. The cottage is very well equipped and felt like home for the 4 nights we stayed. Excellent hospitality from the welcome pack to the extra wood for the fire. We will definitely return at some point
What a wonderful house located at the heart of Warkworth. The rooms are large and bright and the enormous garden was a delight for the dogs, (and the robo-mower a big fascination!). Location was ideal for walks around the village, river and castle. We tried out the Masons Arms and the Hermitage Inn; both very welcoming with good food and ales, and we also had a delicious meal at Bertrams. Warkworth really is a lovely village. Along the coast we were spoilt for good beaches pretty much all the way up to Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. Low Newton-by-the-Sea was an unexpected and wonderful fin...more
Beautiful and well provided accomodation situated just far enough from Seahouses for a nice stroll home after an evening meal in the pub.
Beautiful house in a great location for the beach. Coastal paths to low Newton and Seahouses and the Landing cafe and restaurant on the doorstep. The owner was really helpful before and during the stay. We would thoroughly recommend it.
This was our third stay at Nightfold Cottage and it was every bit a good as before. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for exploring. We're looking forward to returning again soon.
One of the best self catering apartments we have stayed in. (And we've stayed in a few!) Large, light airy rooms. Property had everything needed for a lovely stay. Welcome hamper very thoughtful and packed with goodies. Excellent location to explore Alnwick and the surrounding location.
We recently spent a week at Quay West . This was our first visit to the area and booking with Coquet Cottages. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience. The apartment and location with views across the marina were outstanding. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with an amazing welcome hamper to greet us on our arrival. A very generous gesture! We shall definitely be coming back and shall look forward to looking at other properties within the area also.
We have had the most comfortable stay at the Gin Gan. The downstairs double bedroom with en suite facilities were just perfect for my Grandma. Everything she needed was easily accessible on the ground floor. The kitchen layout works perfectly enabling everyone to be together at breakfast. The snug room was very comfortable on an evening especially with the fire on, which was so easy to use. The attention to detail throughout the house is very impressive. The location was perfect, in the middle of all our favourite places, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Beadnell Bay. Would highly recommend a ...more
First class accomodation, everything you need to get away from the hassell of modern living. Very welcoming hosts. Delightful garden to wander round & relax in on a sunny day. Exceptional welcome pack. Very comfy bed. Lovley shower & barhroom
A very comfortable and clean apartment, which is very well equipped and in an ideal location. Feels like a home from home.
Exceptionally well-appointed apartment in a new development in the centre of Alnwick. Perfect for a couple. The generous hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. Highly recommended
Ideal location for a tour around Northumberland, we went both north and south and the cottage was lovely to come home to at the end of a tiring day. Everything is provided and supermarkets are not too far away in Alnwick. Lovely garden to sit in when the sun comes out and it was a real home from home. Full marks to the owner, this was a lovely place to stay.
Excellent facility. Very well presented and comfortable in every respect. Very efficient and professional interaction with Coquet Cottages. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in Oyster Cottage. We were welcomed with a beautiful basket of goodies for us and our dog. The cottage was immaculate and the owners had thought of everything. The decor was modern and well considered and with nice touches everywhere. We definitely recommend this small but beautifully presented cottage in a great located about a mile from the village with many pubs and restaurants.
We had a lovely time. Great place and location. We mad the most of going to the pub as well which was only 20meters away and did good beer and food.
This was our third visit to The Mill stone and certainly didn’t disappoint. The cottage is so welcoming and in such a peaceful location but close to all amenities and with easy access to the Northumberland coast and countryside. The owners have thought of everything we needed and to make us feel comfortable for our week and the welcome basket and flowers etc were a real treat. We have already booked twice for next year so just shows how much we have enjoyed it and from booking to our actual holiday was made all the more seamless by the amazing Coquet Cottage’s and owners.
We were only here for a few days and found Low Tide a very comfortable, well equipped cottage which is well looked after. The welcome basket and lovely cheese scones were a nice touch. Would love to come back.
Cosy and comfortable cottage for two which was immaculate and stocked with high quality equipment. Beautifully decorated and located in a quiet spot. Fabulous welcome hamper which we worked our way through during our stay. Location was perfect for exploring the local area and the weather was very kind to us during our stay - 10 out of 10
Superb property in a wonderful location! Loved the welcome pack too. House spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Lovely place to stay, fantastic views. Location great for local restaurants and lovely walks on the beach, great walk into Warkworth Cottage was lovely and clean, snd hope to return soon
This is the third time we have stayed at Sycamore cottage and it never disappoints. Not one but two open fires providing a warm and welcoming place. Mary and Phil are amazing hosts, there when we needed help and otherwise they give us the space to relax and unwind. Views across the valleys are amazing and with a clear sky, this will enabled you to star watch... a really great experience. We look forward to our next visit.
Ideal escape, totally peaceful. Besotted! Hosts exceptionally kind and helpful. Will book again. Thanks
We spent a lovely week at Driftwood. The location (including view) is superb. Everything in the house was top quality from bedding and towels to kitchen appliances. We loved the hot tub and having the EV charger made travel very easy. Booking was easy and I also appreciate the call in advance to check everything is good for the trip. Great service. Easy parking, great enclosed back garden for our dog, lovely furniture inside and out, comfy beds and sofas, soft towels and an amazing view! There was everything we could possibly need at the house, including a great selection of games! It ...more
The bungalow was absolutely ideal for our party of 4 adults, but would also have been a perfect location for a family. All the fixtures and fittings were of the highest quality. In particular the dining kitchen was large and spacious, which encouraged us to spend much of our time there. The bathrooms were fitted out to a high standard, and the bedrooms were adequate for our needs (but see later). We found that the location was ideally positioned to explore the wonderful beaches, super towns and villages, in particular Alnwick, and historic castles, houses and gardens. We are looking forward to...more
The apartment had everything we needed and was in a great location with a free parking space. There was plenty of storage space and the bed was very comfortable. The welcome basket was much appreciated and just right to get us started. Morrisons was just across the road, very convenient. I would recommend staying here.
Fern House proved to be an ideal base for our stay in Northumberland. It was well equiped, very clean and nicely decorated. All the beds were very comfortable with decent pillows. The location is good for exploring Northumberland, close to Amble and Alnwick. My 6 year old Granddaughter really enjoyed watching films in the cinema room. Overall we had a very pleasant visit.
Sea Gem is an absolute gem of a find. This stunning Scandi style house has so much to offer. Its location makes it walkable to the town centre, harbour and even Warkworth is an easy walk if you need the exercise. The house itself is so well equipped with luxurious beds and sofas, great tvs, sound system and games. Everything has been thoughtfully included and of such high quality that it was so hard to leave at the end of our stay. It is by far the best property we have rented in Northumberland.
The cottage was perfect for our stay in Northumberland. Great base to explore the coast and all other attractions. It had everything we needed and was very much home from home.
Lovely stay at Revilo. Fantastic location walking distance to the beach. Amazing hamper left, with all the essentials and extra tasty treats Accommodation was lovely, great communal space, mezzanine bedroom was slightly noisy. The outdoor space was spectacular, lots of seating, amazing views while sat in the hot tub, what could be better
We stayed in this lovely apartment for a week in September with our 2 adult children. We found it very spacious & well equipped, with everything very good quality. Beds were very comfortable (something I often struggle with on holiday). Everything was very clean & looked as new. Very convenient for the town & lots to do within easy reach. Easy parking. Reception staff friendly & helpful. Thank you.
I have too many superlatives to use, so I will summarise in one word …..excellent! From the moment we stepped through the front door this house felt like Home. The furnishings and standard of decor are very high. The house is spacious, airy and well equipped - we needed for nothing in the kitchen. The welcome pack was generous and well received. Thank you very much for our stay.
As ever the apartment was beautifully clean and welcoming. The flowers and welcome pack make you feel so welcome as you can put your feet up and relax with a cuppa rather than dashing out for supplies. We return twice a year and are already booked for next year. It’s the ideal accommodation for us as it’s so accessible for wheelchair users. The new mattress in the en-suite room made a world of difference; so comfortable!
The property was very well equipped and we enjoyed our stay . The location was lovely with just a very short walk to the river bank and gentle stroll into the beautiful village of Walkworth. The trees in the back are a little overgrown and cause the rear of the property to be shaded. However I would not let this detract us from booking the same property again. Overall a very enjoyable stay .
Alnmouth Penthouse is wonderful- every bit as good as it looks in the photos. All the furnishings, decoration and equipment are top quality and very well chosen. It suited three old friends on a weekend away perfectly. We all loved our en suite rooms and the delightful big kitchen and living room. It wasn’t quite warm enough to sit outside but the sunroom and terrace looked very inviting. Parking was always possible as long as your parallel parking skills are good! Excellent position for both the town and all the other lovely places in the area. As always, excellent communication (and ham...more
Beautiful cottage in a lovely village! Very well equipped. Good location for accessing coast. Dog friendly although some outdoor seating outside fenced garden area.
This is our third time staying at the Penthouse apartment in Amble and we will definitely be returning again next year. The living and dining area is large, comfortable and well furnished with beautiful views and the same can be said for the bedrooms. It has everything you could ask for. The location is also perfect for enjoying Amble and it’s restaurants and bars however, the kitchen and dining area in the Penthouse is so lovely we even ate in on a couple of occasions, which is most unusual for us. The team at Coquet Cottages are all very lovely to deal with, and most helpful, and we woul...more
From the moment we stepped into Rebecca House we felt very much at Home. The house was so tastefully furnished and well equipped but most of all it felt so very comfortable. Martin was extremely helpful and friendly and it was obvious he wanted his guests to enjoy the house and all that Warkworth and the surrounding area had to offer. The house was in the perfect location and we would love to return some time in the future. Having stayed in a Coquet cottage on a previous visit to Warkworth we had high expectations of the standard of our accommodation. We were not disappointed. Rebecca House w...more
This is set in a lovely development of old farm buildings and done to a high spec. The rooms are spacious, kitchen well equipped and large fenced garden excellent for dogs. The coast in 10 mins away and Alnwick 15 mins away so good base for plenty of attractions. There’s a supermarket in Amble, 10 mins away, the only thing missing is a pub in walking distance for dinner.
What a lovely property to stay in Jeff is really helpful on information on the local area Corebridge is a delightful little town -lots of lovely coffee shops and pubs and restuarants. We had a great four night break.
The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable .Lovely outdoor space safe for children and dogs. Driveway parking a bonus.
We would highly recommend this cottage, everything has been catered for and the cottage is very warm and cosy
Apperley Cottage was the perfect base for a lovely week in Northumberland. It was completely comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. Warkworth is just delightful, and we combined wonderful beach walks - locally and further away - with great visits, including to Durham and the Woodhorn Museum. We look forward to returning. PS - the position of Apperley Cottage was so convenient - we were not disturbed by either traffic or the pub.
Excellent accommodation. Ideal location for exploring the Northumbrian coast. Shops and pubs all in walking distance. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at the old library - very comfortable. Well placed for all amenities in Alnwick.
Definitely the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. The cottage has the most amazing view of the castle and coastline from the main bedroom and a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and equipped house. Everything is there that you need and the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the details. The only very small criticism we would make would be to make the rubbish situation clearer. The instructions say bag the rubbish and put in the outside bins. But the recycling bin does not take plastic bags so the bin was not emptied on bin day. Clearer instructions would resolve the...more
We loved our stay at The Hayloft The house is in a lovely village and is very quiet. It’s immaculate and very tastefully furnished with absolutely everything you need The bedrooms are downstairs which makes them nice and cool. All a good size and all en-suite. The beds are good too. Upstairs is a great open plan kitchen, dining and lounge which works really well The welcome basket is very useful with bread, milk and other local produce. There was also some fresh flowers on the table All in all we couldn’t fault it and will definitely return Thank you
Owl Cottage is a lovely, well looked after property in a very peaceful location in busy Warkworth. The views from the back of the house were wonderful, we saw deer, ducks and a heron. Easy to walk to the beach, the castle the river and Amble.
Thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this cosy, comfortable and beautifully presented home from home. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Very well located for everything Alnwick has to offer, yet in a quiet peaceful corner. Great base from which to explore the surrounding area. We'd forgotten what a wonderful county Northumberland is!
The apartment was spotless and had amazing views over the marina. Great facilities and very modern. Lovely welcome pack included.
Family 80th birthday celebration.property well equipped and welcoming. Ideal location to explore surrounding area.
Our stay in Harebell House was an opportunity for 3 generations of the family to easily get together. There was ample room for us all, along with excellent facilities provided by the owners. We had great communication with the owners & it was touching that they were very considerate of our needs since we had an 18 month child in our party. The location of the house was ideal to visit a wide range of places within the region.
A well designed, high spec cottage in a perfect location for exploring Warkworth village the beach, river and the surrounding area. Didn't need to get the car out all week. Could have used some information on how to work the heating and kitchen appliances but we managed with a little help. Will be rebooking for next year!
A wonderful position overlooking the Marina but also nice to be in the centre of town. Despite its central position it was quiet. The apartment had everything one needed for a luxurious stay and the very generous welcome pack was much appreciated.
We loved our stay in The Sewing Room. It is the perfect location for seaside walks and enjoying walks with wide reaching sea and estuary views. The little cottage is very comfortable and in a secluded courtyard position. Alnmouth has a variety of pubs and restaurants with a few useful shops.
Excellent holiday accommodation spotless clean fully equipped with everything you need Lovely welcome hamper Phil and Debbie always on hand if you need anything In fact it was like home from home
Brada house is lovely. This modern, bright, comfortable and very clean three bedroom barn conversion was perfect for our family and cocker Spaniel. We have stayed in Golorum a few times now and it's a top location for countryside walks and accessing the tremendous beaches. An issue with missing front door key on arrival resulting in a 1 hour wait in the garden after a three hour drive resulted in damaged frozen goods from our supermarket shop which was most frustrating. And to add to this, there were missing hygiene & cleaning products inside the house once we had the key. The clean...more
The property was clean tidy and comfortable. In an ideal world it would have been good to separate the down stairs wet room shower from the WC, or have a separate downstairs cloakroom. Unfortunately the fridge freezer broke down, but one call to the managers and they arrived with a small temporary fridge (as we were close to the end of our break when it happened), and offered a small amount of compensation by way of a deposit for a meal at a nearby cafe. All in all a good break in a lovely place.
The cottage offers a wonderfully comfortable and chic place to rest after a full day of exploration.
The property was in a great location, private and surrounded by lovely farm land and countryside. The garden was great, especially with having a dog! Although I was a bit nervous with the fast road at the end of the back garden and worried the gate could come open but the front garden was secure and perfect. The property overall was great, clean and everything you’d want. I would say that the beds and pillows were a bit hard but that’s personal preference. The living room though was very dark and the lighting/lamps were quite harsh (light bulb style with no shades) again that’s personal pref...more
Great property, great views in a stunning location. Well located for a stunning sandy beach and the amenities of Warkworth.
Heron House was a fabulous base for the week. It was spacious and well laid out with all the needed kit and a lovely welcome hamper! The location is very peaceful with very easy parking (no off street parking often puts us off but this was no problem at all). Plenty to do in a short distance with a party ranging from 14 to 80.
Fifth time at lane end and tenth time with coquet cottages (other five were next door at Virginia cottage). Honestly our home from home. We love the cottage, we love warkworth. Already planning our next stay.
Hotspur cottage is a cosy, comfortable, cottage. A wonderful walk in shower is a real bonus for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen provides everything necessary for a stress free visit. A very comfortable bed ensured good night time rest. Close to village shop and local eateries. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much Martin and Coquet Cottages for such a brilliant week at Bluebird House. This is one of the best holiday lets that I have ever stayed in. It's fantastically well equiped, well furnished and very comfortable from all angles. My dog never did get used to people walking past his front door and looking through his dining room window, but did enjoy the short drive down to Alnmouth Beach and the dog friendly cafes, within easy walking distance of your house. They even let him have a mooch around Barter Books. Alnwick is a lively town with lots of history and seemingly friendly peopl...more
Stunning apartment that was really warm and bright. Had everything that you need in a well supplied kitchen for catering for yourselves however there are lots of lovely places to eat within a few steps. A great base for visiting other places but also can quite happily just watch the world go by. Must visit the butcher in the high street - all homemade pies, pease pudding, hams etc and the bread shop a few doors high up for delicious stotties. The ice cream at Spurellis is also delicious.
Easy to find cottage in a beautiful, peaceful and perfect location just off the main road into Bamburgh. The New Dairy was exceptionally clean and furnished to a high standard, with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. The view from the front door of the property, over the fields towards the coast and Bamburgh Castle was incredible, especially at night when the Castle was illuminated. This was our first stay in a Coquet Cottages property, and we were very impressed with the contact and customer service checks received from the company before and during our stay...more
Very comfortable, clean, well equipped, and close to local amenities. Only downside was that we couldn’t enjoy the garden as the back wall too low for our dogs.
Willow loft was very comfortable and the location was perfect for visiting the surrounding area and countryside
Can’t recommend this property enough! Super cosy, the beds were all really comfortable and everything was immaculate. The enclosed garden was a really good size which was really great for letting the dog out and it couldn’t have been any better situated…. Out the back door along a short path and straight onto the dunes of Beadnell’s beautiful sandy beach. We staycation every year because of our dogs , this was the first time we’ve booked with Coquet Cottages and I must say they were fantastic, from the email they sent with a multitude of information on both the house and the area, the very hel...more
Waleric House is a beautiful property which is very well equipped. It is tucked in behind another building on the main high street so literally spitting distance from everything you want in Alnmouth (including 2 doors up from the deli if you can't live without a latte or cappuccino). There are huge windows looking out over a pretty garden which is a real bonus in this location. Crockery & cup wise there was more there than we could have ever used. There's a separate utility room with a washer and separate drier. A constant supply of ice from the freezer for the essential holiday cocktails...more
Thanks for our 3rd stay at Lost Lobster, with total stays in Embleton now exceeding 20! Lost Lobster is truly a home with every room comfortable and welcoming. Highlights for us are the kitchen and the garden where we spend most of our time when there. Very thoughtful throughout, the owners provide me with the best range of kitchen equipment and wares that I could hope for. Use of the pizza oven is always part of our trip. The dogs are happy and provision of dog towels a great help. A big thanks as ever for giving us a lovely holiday.
Enjoyed a wonderful stay in Virginia Cottage, Warkworth. The cottage has one bedroom which is beautifully appointed, as is the rest of the cottage, the layout is very user friendly. We have been coming to this area for over 15 years and always use Coquet as the standard is first class and the staff so helpful. However, this was our first time with a dog and our first time in Virginia Cottage. It didn’t disappoint. The cottage was perfect, very cosy and so easy to step out in the morning for a riverside walk with our little companion. We would come back and stay at this lovely cottage agai...more
Just returned from a wonderful stay for my mother’s 70th birthday. The house was perfect. Plenty of space for us all, the walks on our doorstep all weekend were perfect. The scenery changed every time we stepped out of the door. Simply stunning. Thank you
Dovetail Cottage was absolutely perfect for a ‘get away from it all ‘ break. Scenery, an amazing beach and walks from the doorstep. Everything you could need in the village although, that didn’t stop me exploring further afield . The cottage ticked every box, a small but perfect bolt hole for a few days away.
This was our second stay at Lyndhurst and we could not have been happier. The house is beautiful and well equipped, with ample space and delightful garden. A very generous welcome pack awaited us on arrival. Perfect location, short walk to the beach and village.
The four of us (3 human, one puggle who thinks he's human) had a fabulous week in this immaculate, well equipped and comfortable home. A superb location, quiet but walkable into Amble, easy access to many local destinations, near a bus stop if you want a car free day (buses are excellent). We couldn't have been more comfortable. Contact with the owner was excellent. I simply can't praise this home from home enough.
Our 'gang' had an excellent week at Honeypot House which is just a short walk from Wooler and apart from one wet day it was wall to wall sunshine. The house was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and although we had one or two 'problems', in general we were very, very comfortable. The heating proved to be something of a 'conundrum'. The thermostat was increased - as instructed - but the temperature kept returning to 18 degrees, which was not really high enough to keep the place warm. We just put on extra sweaters! However everyone was more than happy with the large en-suite bedro...more
Three of us stayed here with two dogs and had a lovely time. The welcome hamper was the best I have experienced, full of useful, good things and the dogs were not forgotten. Well equipped for cooking and serving. Very spacious, warm and the garden was great for the dogs. Good location- we walked to the beach, and were central for other lovely places to go to by car. Quiet surroundings and quite private as surrounded by trees.
We all loved WARKWORTH and CHERRY TREE COTTAGE really complimented our stay. The accommodation was excellent - lovely and clean and the location was very convenient for visiting places along the Northumbria coast line. Short walk to the village pubs who provided excellent meals Our party would recommend CHERRY TREE COTTAGE to anyone wishing to stay in Warkworth
A lovely cottage in a great location ideal for a holiday for 2. It was very well equipped to a high standard
A lovely house, very comfortable, quiet and on the whole well equipped. The welcome hamper was nice. I would have expected there to have been more than two tea bags and more loo rolls!
Sunny Cottage is an excellent property to stay in, in a beautiful area of Northumberland. There are many places to visit in the area and Sunny Cottage is an ideal base. If you are lucky with the weather the cottage will live up to its name.
Beautiful cottage & perfect base to discover beautiful Northumberland, cottage is so comfortable & has everything you need, our welcome hampers for both us & our dog were very much appreciated & a lovely touch, we arrived at the cottage with heating & lamps on throughout giving such a warm cosy welcome, the garden & summerhouse are a added bonus just lovely, we visited many parts of this beautiful coastline with many more still to discover so looks like we need to come back, Coquet cottages we’re lovely to deal with, making the booking easy & even gave a personalised phone call to answer some ...more
Every thing was great absolutely nothing was bad with curlew cottage. We will be booking again Great base for exploring Northumberland
This was a fantastic cottage, clean, tidy and sizeable, really comfortable for myself and 5 other adults, 2 dogs and a 2 year old. What was really super was all the extremely useful and well thought out cupboard contents. The toys available for our 2 year old were super and plenty of things for the adults too. The welcome basket was really lovely and useful. The dogs were also extremely well catered for. Also the free digital guide was so useful, really super and we used it a lot. You'll also find really useful notes around the house to help you get the most out of the house. ...more
This property was truly outstandingly fantastic. Very high standards throughout, offering the very best in comfort and luxury. It really did feel like home from home. There’s not one thing to criticise. I know we will book again in the future!
We had a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful holiday cottage. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful location and is very comfortable. It was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay.
Very nicely presented and decorated house for a stay with our dog. (Enclosed garden with seating too ). The house had all the essentials for a comfortable stay and was well decorated and equipped. Well positioned for an easy stroll to the harbour and town with a welcome pack as a bonus.
Wild Goose is a stunning apartment with amazing views! It is the perfect location for exploring Bamburgh and other local areas. The host was brilliant, friendly and offered lots of suggestions for eating out and places to visit. We absolutely fell in love with the area and the amazing weather added even more sparkle to our stay! Would definitely stay at Wild Goose again!
A well presented house with everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay. In a wonderful location. Very peaceful and cosy. Close proximity to the village and it’s excellent amenities. Nice outdoor space to sit in and watch the world go by.
Everything about farne view was perfect, Think the dogs enjoyed it as much as us, We hope to return in the near future
We have stayed in Roseate House on several occasions and are never disappointed. The house is perfectly situated for access to the beaches and the town. The house itself is comfortable and well looked after, with the benefit of a lovely view from the main lounge. It’s always a pleasure to stay there.
A quiet, comfortable cottage. One of the cleanest we have been to, with a lovely fresh smell on first entry. Welcome pack was appreciated, and the owner texted us on arrival to check that we were OK. Fresh flowers were greatly appreciated. Rooms were spacious and well equipped, with a view of the sea from a number of windows. Right by the Northumberland Coastal Path. We will definitely try Coquet Cottages for our next visit to Northumberland.
We all had a wonderful stay in Shepherd’s cottage! We were a family group of 6 adults and 3 children aged 9, 3 and 7 mths. There was room for us all. The children loved the large and secure garden and the cinema room. There were tears when we had to leave! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful when we had a minor issue with one of the showers. We all commented on the interior design - lovely The Coquet app was a great help with all the info you could possibly need. Will definitely return.
St Paul’s view is a lovely clean and comfortable holiday cottage, well equipped and very convenient for the local town and attractions in the surrounding county. The hot tub was an extra benefit much appreciated. Situated in a pleasant area of Alnwick I would highly recommend this cottage
We loved returning to The Shiel. It's a great location and the property is so well kitted out with all we could ask for and more, especially the welcome basket bonus. Thank you so much.
We wanted somewhere quiet without the worry of noisy neighbours and this was ideal. Couple of improvements from our point of view of being an older couple is the sofas whilst comfy were quite low. A couple of bar stools at the peninsular would have been good as well. It seemed clear that there hadn’t been anyone in in the morning to clean especially when on the Tuesday we got a call apologising for the lack of welcome basket, the girl did bring us something up but we were to be fair quite underwhelmed by it. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms clean but it definitely had needed a good du...more
This was our second time at the property. The property was perfect for our three generational family with plenty of room both in and outside. The bbq hut was one of the reasons we returned and this was enjoyed by young and old alike. The property is very well appointed and the welcome pack is generous and much appreciated. While this was generally a positive experience, the standard of cleanliness in both the house and bbq hut could and should be improved.
We found Nursery cottage to be of a very high standard unfortunately although close to Alnwick centre and within easy walking distance the access via a large council estate and behind a old people's home very disappointing, the views from the garden were very restricted due to the 6feet high fencing hiding the properties behind, the only view of Alnwick castle was from the upstairs bedrooms. All the above points would deter us from returning to Nursery cottage in the future.
There were a few positives about this property. The location is excellent and the secure garden is a big positive when travelling with the dog. The tumble dryer in the washing machine was a good asset too. The welcome pack was first class too. Unfortunately there were a number of issues with the property. The bed linen on one bed, although obviously fresh, had marks resembling a dog paw print (ensuite bedroom). In the bedroom immediately beyond the bathroom, the kingsize mattress needs replaced or a memory foam topper added to it. It sagged towards the middle and the springs were uncomfortab...more
Hopping Hare cottage is lovely. Great facilities, easy check in and out. You will need a car for shops, restaurants etc but this just makes for a quiet peaceful time when you are at the house. Dog friendly and lots of walks from the house. Would definitely stay again
Nice, comfy and warm, needed a little TLC in some areas, complimentary hamper and toiletries were good. However, the complimentary cheese scone were mouldy and stale. There is a note in two of the bathrooms about the shower temperature, so a known issue which needs fixing, the temperature was set way too hot and unable to lowe. The washing machine and tumble dryer both need a good deep clean. There is only a small dishwasher considering the cottage accommodates six people fills up very quickly.
Lovely cottage, beautifully renovated and very comfortable and clean. Well equipped with lots of nice touches such as the welcome packs for both humans and dogs! Private, enclosed front patio area. Lesbury is a very pretty village with a shop and a great pub, The Coach Inn, just a few minutes walk away. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere, we had a couple of excellent meals there. So much to do and see in the surrounding area, beautiful beaches.
Pretty spacious cottage with beautiful deck and garden, well equipped, perfect for weekend get away.On Main Street but used the back bedroom which was quiet.
Perfect location, reasonably comfortable, well equipped, alarm that works! due to the performance of ancient toaster. Moss or mold growing on inside of bedroom windows, nowhere to place soap and shampoo in shower. Apart from those minor points it has everything you need inside for a pleasant weekend. Outside a place to sit and admire the rotting wood and missing paint on the french windows, but the view of Bamburgh Castle makes up for that. All in all a great base for exploring the area. Property just needs a little thought and tlc. Having said that, I recommend Jolliffe, but only for a short ...more
A beautiful and immaculate generously sized cottage in the heart of Alnwick. Everything was beautifully finished and very grateful for the incredible bath on a stormy evening. Will definitely revisit.
Comfortable, well equipped property. Great location with the town centre, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens just a short walk away. Good sized parking space adequate for even a larger vehicle.
A lovely cottage, beautiful light and airy space, very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable all round. Garden is laid to a large grassed area, peaceful and tranquil. Excellent dark skies for stars with the added bonus of barn owls flying over.
On arrival the apartment was light and airy. The welcome hamper was amazing! The beds were extremely comfortable. The balcony is small but the afternoon / evening is in the sun to enjoy a drink. The seating in the living room is uncomfortable.
So impressed with all aspects of the service, we will be booking with Coquet Cottages again for 2026. Tower Cottage is absolutely wonderful. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. It was a level above what we have received at recent stays and was hugely appreciated. Not to mention the healthy dog treats. Gulliver loved the sausages and the other touches, such as bowls and a towel (although we brought our own along) was also a lovely gesture. The cottage was beautifully clean and we did our best to leave it as we found it. Warkworth surpassed our expectations and we are just trying to de...more
We had a great stay in this lovely apartment. It was well equipped, in great condition and a super central location to all what Alnwick has to offer. The supermarket opposite is very handy if need any food, toiletries etc. The covered parking was good to have ,though the space is very tight if you have a SUV or bigger car. We could not access the boot or rear doors once we had reversed into the spot which I recommend you do for getting out again. The apartment was spacious and the lift was handy when we arrived with all our luggage. We found the air fryer useful but if there was 4 of you it wo...more
Easily the loveliest and most stylish holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Wonderfully furnished and equipped - felt like we were in the best version of our own home in such a gorgeous rural and tranquil setting. Some great September sunshine helped us have a superb outdoor week with three different 5mile coastal walks, trips to the amazing Barters Books in Alnwick, Howick gardens with the original Earl Grey tea! - one of us did the wonderful 5 plus mile walk back through Howick Arboretum and up the Northumberland coastal path then back thorough Craster to Dunstan. Short walk across the fie...more
Lovely property , nicely furnished and well equipped. Great location to walk onto the beach or into Alnmouth with the added bonus of parking which is always difficult in Alnmouth
Perfectly positioned in Bamburgh . Marram house offered the perfect place for 3 generations. We made good use of the space . The new walled garden and cafe over the road was a big hit with the children aged 13 and 23 months and with the adults . We ate out at the Lord Crewe and Potted Lobster. Carters butchers provided other meals and also fish and chips from Seahouses
Quit location with easy access to beach, eating places and pubs. Property stylishly renovated, few stains on some internal doors, welcome pack could be improved by using local products other than that no issues,
Grace cottage is immaculate, everything we needed for a lovely stay . Location is perfect for a short walk to the village for all cafes, pubs, restaurants and beach . 1st class accommodation even though it’s on Main Road there was no noise at night super quiet .Summer house and shared garden was lovely and secluded cushions provided for seating area, torch for evening . Everything was perfect .
I am not one to complain but I feel a bit short changed ,UP stairs cannot fault ,both bedrooms fine .bathroom and garden was disappointing.Toilet seat was not secure to base ,toilet holder is broken ,shower glass leaks all over floor when having shower.Wall tiles not clean ,bathroom just needs a wee bit tlc .Garden area ,broken paving slabs .weeds growing all over paving area ,patio doors on out side had not been cleaned for a while .we had no hot water for the whole stay ,I did register this with the office who tried to help but did not work.so boiler needs look at regarding hot water .centra...more
Hadn't been hoovered, bits all over the carpets & floors. Mouldy shower, dog hairs in single bed & stained duvet cover. Strange smell to towels. Smelly & uncomfortable settee had to buy Febreeze. Generally tired in need of an update & decoration. Disappointing as it's in a beautiful location and could be really lovely.
Wow ! A beautiful cosy home by the sea , comfortable sofas to sink in after a days hiking ! Large TVs for all the family to view , great entertaining space even got your own wine fridge !! This cottage would suit families or a group of friends plenty of space for everyone!
We had a lovely family holiday at Puffin Cottage. There was plenty of space for five adults, a one year old and a dog. The location was especially good being situated quietly in North Sunderland but only a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the excellent facilities in Seahouses. The fabulous Northumberland coast was easily accessible and we loved our visits to Alnwick, Bamburgh and Beadnell. The hi light of our week , although it is difficult to choose just one, would probably be the coastal walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle and on to Embleton beach - absolutely stunning! Puffin Cottage mad...more
Lovely, well appointed cottage. Exceptionally clean with good amenities. Location good for us, short drive to Warkworth and a good base for the wider Northumberland area. Lovely touches made for a welcoming arrival too. Thank you. Ian and Fiona.
We had a great week at Hermitage, it was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. We had a lovely hamper given to us and and when we had a query, both the Owner and Coquet Cottages were easily contactable and dealt with it quickly and efficiently. We would love to stay again one day and have no hesitation in recommending it as a great location for a holiday.
Excellent week in Warkworth. We usually stay in Seahouses but am a Warkworth convert now. Loved sitting in the garden for breakfast in the sunshine. Well equiped cottage. Great beach and river walks Did alot of cycling and found great coffee stops. Brilliant being right in the centre . The traffic noise didnt bother us at all. Beds very comfy. Sunday supper club at Bertams excellent.
Strathmore lodge is a big beautiful house, quirkily decorated and generously equipped. The garden is large and secure for the dog. Location is fantastic, walking distance from a lovely high street, some wonderful walks without needing to drive, and some outstanding beaches just a short distance away. The hot tub was pristine and wonderful on tired muscles after our long walks. Would highly recommend
We had a lovely few nights stay at the Buttery. The apartment is cosy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped and just lovely. The beds are very comfortable too. The secret garden was pretty and a nice place to sit in the sunshine. Our only issue was the shower in the en suite, it was leaking , not much water pressure. Just a small thing because overall the Buttery was lovely. Warkworth is so pretty. However the road is very busy.Thank you for our welcome hampers. Our dog enjoyed his treats too.
We are both 80 years young so found stairs a challenge. Bathroom was through the kitchen not ideal and we felt the sofas were a bit tired
A superb location right on the staithes and a lovely walk into the town and the patio area was very pleasant
Weather good, property fine except as mentioned below. First holiday with our 7 month old spaniel so hard work!
Positives were flat’s location, having a parking space and comfy bed. Disappointed with welcome provisions - no fresh items, no pods for coffee machine, no hand soap in bathroom or kitchen and tiny sample sized shower and washing up liquid and only 1 black bin sack (!) but there were dishwashing tablets - shame there was no dishwasher! Bathroom - shower & bath controls made loud clanking sound - could hear in sitting room! Tiles discoloured with mould/staining around fittings, in corners & shower door. Towel rail didn’t come on and fan ineffective. Flat is not to the same sta...more
Always a pleasure to stay at Ashleigh cottage, we just love it. Stayed here at least twice and in numerous other Coquet properties as its central for all our family when we visit
We picked Tower house as it was available at the times we wanted and because we adore Warkworth with its beautiful river walks, its castle and its accessibility to many other places we love to visit. The size of the property was good for 2 couples and gave us the space we needed, although the kitchen is small it works fine and has a all the appliances needed. The shelves containing crockery are high though and it can be difficult to access some items. Bedrooms, bathroom and small ensuite were good, beds and bedding of good quality. Car parking for 2 cars was interesting, the access is li...more
A very tired house and outdoor space. Cleanliness and fittings nowhere near the standard normally seen. We have used Coquet a number of times and always been impressed with the high standard of accommodation and facilities. Sadly this was not the case at Strathmore. Cleanliness was an issue throughout the house. The garden was not great for our two little ones and the hot tub did not function properly either. The summer house and some outdoor furniture were not usable and all in all a very disappointing stay in our favourite place in the uk. One of the cots for the babies was also in need of a...more
the cottage was spacious clean and well appointed. the furnishings and kitchen equipment was good and the linen was of a high quality. The location however let it down. The garden was very poor and overlooked and the location was very tight with limited amenities close by.. Seahouses was disappointing but the countryside and surrounding coast line was as always exceptional.
The house is in a lovely location a short stroll to the shops and the beach. The kitchen is nicely stocked and we received a nice welcome basket and a pint of milk. The main bedroom is spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The living room area is quite small but that didn’t spoil anything. There is a nice log burner but only a small amount of kindling is supplied so, if you like fire, you have to take your own logs and also matches or a lighter. All in all a pleasant stay in beautiful Bamburgh
