Fabulous location. Home from home, clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen, lovely garden. Great for a family of 7- enough space for everyone to have a proper bed and their own space.
Will book again .
Best house we’ve ever stayed in . Warkworth is gorgeous. Beach is 15 mins walk and very empty. Can access coastal path easily . Lovely local pubs/ cafes. Lots of free parking .

Beautiful house in lovely location. It provided a great base to explore the surrounding area - in particular the beaches and walks along the river. The welcome hamper and other kitchen provisions were perfect for the number of people the house could accommodate.

Lovely house in a great location, well equipped and the owner made contact to check everything was fine. The lounge and the hoover smelt very strongly of dogs and was a bit off putting. The back garden was a bit over grown and the grass needed cut.

Just returned from a lovely week away in Northumberland - Heron House was very comfortable and spacious. We were very fortunate with the weather so could make good use of the garden too. Welcome hamper was great with everything you could want to settle in with when you first arrived too.
One issue when a battery warning when one of the smoke alarms started to beep - we messaged the owner who replied swiftly and someone round to resolve in about an hour.

We had a lovely 4 night break in this beautiful Victorian house. The owner Rachel was kind enough to let us know the house was ready early, which was really appreciated. Everything you could wish for in a rental property was provided, we can’t wait to return to Heron House again.

this was perfect for multigenerational stay- perfect amount of room and lovely gardens for adults to find quiet corner with newspaper/ book and for kids and dog to be noisier and more active outside. We loved the beach - such an easy walk. Well equipped house particularly kitchen - had all we needed.

Heron house is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the river at the front and a lovely huge garden to the rear.
The house was very clean and inviting with a lovely welcome pack for both humans and dogs. We had two dogs with us and the garden was perfect they loved playing together in the secure space. The beds were super comfy and both showers had fantastic water pressure.
The house was ideally located for a short walk to the gorgeous beach or a stroll to one of the many dog friendly establishments in Warkworth. Heron house was the perfect place for our short family get together and we all felt rejuvenated and relaxed at the end of it. I would definitely recommend heron house and would stay again

Heron House is a beautiful home, very well equipped and furnished with high quality fittings, towels and bedding.
A welcome hamper was waiting for us which contained a lovely selection of local produce and we wanted for nothing.
Would highly recommend this lovely house, situated opposite the river and within a short distance of Warkworth and surrounding countryside plus coastline. Situated on a quiet residential road, lovely peaceful setting.

We (5 adults a baby and 2 dogs) have just returned from Heron House following an excellent week in this spacious and comfortable house. It’s in a great location, being only a short walk away from the Main Street and a slightly longer one to the beach. As we were travelling with a baby we found it easier to eat in so cooked a great deal and also baked and found the kitchen had everything we needed.
We had reason to contact the house’s owner during our stay and she handled our minor issue quickly and thoughtfully.
I recommend Heron House highly.

Heron House is a wonderful location to stay in. It's right on the river and there's an easy walk to the town centre of 100-200 yards. The walk can continue along the river to the Hermitage.
The top bedroom with en suite and view of the castle/church from 1 window and the river from the one opposite is fantastic. The other 3 bedrooms are also very good and comfortable.
The front room is comfortable but my only negative comment is that it smelt a bit of dogs. The carpet and sofas could do with a deep clean. Well stocked with games.
3 toilets, 1 on each level is useful.
Kitchen well stocked and the welcome pack was much appreciated.
Nice enclosed garden was very safe for our toddler. Equipped with good outdoor furniture.
Easy parking on the street outside.
Warkworth itself is a lovely small town with a very good beach, although this is quite a walk from Heron House. Great English Heritage castle, fine church, 3 pubs, other eateries, basic shop, cafes and a great chocolatier. It's a good base to explore Northumberland

The house was ideal for our family group with a wonderful location overlooking the river on one side and lovely gardens on the other side. Our 2nd floor ensuite master bedroom was very spacious and very comfortable bed and furnishings, which had a wonderful view of Warkworth Castle from window seat. The other three bedrooms were all doubles and spacious and comfortable. We all loved the flow of the house with a front hall for coats and wellies, and the dining kitchen opening onto the garden which our dog stretched out in the sunshine. The fresh flowers and welcoming hamper were much appreciated too. Overall a great house to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary with family, thank you
