A gorgeous property in the heart of Warkworth gave us a perfect festive stay.

The property is cosy and really well equipped. The gas real flame fire made it even cosier.

The welcome pack was fantastic and packed with local produce, a really lovely touch.

Bedrooms were warm, quiet and comfortable, we slept really well.

Its a little difficult to find but really secure once you do, perfect for our dog.

There are 3 pubs and a few restaurants in the village, we loved the masons arms (great food) and warkworth house hotel.

The beach is a 10 minute walk over the dunes and is a huge sandy one.

We will be back.

Bridge Barn cottage met our needs for a week away in the autumn sunshine. The property was warm and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the generous welcome pack. We had everything we needed for a self-catering stay. We enjoyed the garden and appreciated the quiet location.

Spotlessly clean, warm & cosy when we arrived. A very generous welcome hamper for humans and dogs, don’t think we’ve had a better one! Superb view of Warkworth Castle and a 10 minute walk from the beach, which we did most days. Bamburgh, Craster & Alnwick all within a reasonably short drive. We have been very happy at The Bridge Barn this week, the dogs are exhausted from all their runs on the beach & will need a week to recover!

Lovely property in good location within Warkworth (i.e. far enough from busy main road to not notice traffic noise). Very comfortable bed but living room seating uncomfortable and in need of replacement. Generous welcome goodies appreciated.

We returned to the Bridge Barn in Warkworth after our stay last year and it did not disappoint. We love the whole area and can't recommend it enough.

There was a bad smell, which was rectified very quickly by Coquet Cottages, the staff are lovely and friendly and so efficient. We will certainly be booking with Coquet for another Northumberland stay next year!!

We spent a long weekend at the Bridge Barn. This is a lovely upside down house, with a fantastic view of the castle! The cottage is well equiped and was perfect for us (two adults, two primary school aged children and a dog), and we really appreciated the welcome basket.

One thing I would point out to prospective people is that because it is an upside down house, access to the garden is through one of the bedrooms and so not so easy for letting the dog out (there is also outside access to the garden). Also the garden wasn't enclosed enough to stop our dog escaping. This didn't by any means spoil our holiday, but its just something to bear in mind.

The only other thing I would mention is that for a full week, this cottage might have started to feel a little cramped as the bedrooms were quite small, but for a long weekend it was absolutely fine.

We did enjoy our stay here. Generous welcome pack , shabby chic upstairs with well equipped kitchen. Downstairs dark and very cramped for 4 adults and little storage space . Bathroom could have been cleaner , hairs in both bath and sink . Garden space lovely for dog and totally enclosed .

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate your kind words regarding the welcome pack, kitchen, and garden space. We would like to clarify that The Bridge Barn is advertised for 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 years old, as the second bedroom contains bunk beds. We noticed that your booking listed only two guests. We apologise if there was any confusion or inconvenience caused. We hope you enjoyed your stay despite these issues and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

I enjoyed my stay at Bridge Barn. The location was perfect and the little garden was very welcome. The cottage has everything you need, including a dishwasher, a washing machine, a large dining table and a gorgeous bathroom. The only negative is that the sofa wasn’t comfortable at all. If you’re staying for a couple of days, it doesn’t really matter, but we stayed for a week. The two chairs probably need to be replaced too.

A thoroughly enjoyable four nights at Bridge Barn. Lovely spacious living and kitchen area with view of Castle and everything you could need. Welcome pack containing some local delicacies, very nice. Comfy beds and nice bathroom and luxury complimentary toiletries.
Great location with some lovely walks around Warkworth village and its shops and pubs. Warkworth beach like all the beaches on this coastline great for getting out with the dog. Amble and Alnmouth within a short drive well worth exploring,

We stayed in Bridge Barn just before Easter, The cottage was beautiful, perfect for me, my wife and our retriever. Welcome hamper was amazing, and even had dog treats! The village is super pretty, with great pubs and restaurants. The beach is a mile away and a dog walkers delight, and a special mention for Coquet Cottagez, who provided excellent service.

Fab cottage in a lovely location. 15 minutes to lovely dog friendly beach, local pubs a minute away very welcoming and good food. Gas log burner was lovely and everywhere warm as toast, Equipped to a high standard, beds comfy. Only niggle was the sofa and chairs tilted you slightly forward. Would definitely return to same cottage or book through CC again.

This was our second time staying at Bridge Barn, having visited in the Summer several years ago. We love the coastal walking in Northumberland and Warkworth is a perfect base for this at any time of year. Bridge Barn is in a convenient location, with easy access to great pubs/restaurants and gorgeous views over the castle. The barn itself is charming and comfortable, with a lovely little enclosed garden which was safe for our dog to enjoy. The cottage is beautifully presented, with good attention to detail. Thank you for the welcome gifts and flowers. Customer service from Coquet has been excellent at all stages. I'm sure we'll be back!

We are regular visitors to Warworth and this is our second stay in Bridge Barn. Great location and very cosy and comfortable accommodation. Having a small garden is perfect when you have dogs and we've found that some of the other smaller rentals in Warkworth don't offer this. Hope to return soon.

It is always a pleasure to stay at The Bridge Barn.
It is a place to snuggle up in if the weather is unpredictable and a wonderful place to return to after a day on the beach or out exploring.
An ideal location for travelling either up or down the coast and within easy reach of the magnificent countryside of Northumberland.

The Northumberland coast is a hidden gem and within it Warkworth is tucked away off the beaten track. It is, however, the perfect base to chill out whether you just want to walk along the quiet, sandy beaches or travel further afield to see all the other delights on your doorstep. The Bridge Barn has ever facility you would want for your stay and was clean, quiet and just the right place to base your stay. The garden with its barbecue was great for the quiet evenings recovering from the long walks. Coquet Cottages provided just the right amount of service. We always felt they were there if we needed them and provided practical help but not to the point where it would be deemed intrusive. Would definitely recommend a stay.

This is a beautiful home. Three things stand out - (1) the garden area and play equipment, which the children loved. It was very relaxing to sit in the garden and be able to watch them play; (2) the bath!; and (3) the layout - lovely to have the rooms separated out a bit. Everyone slept brilliantly.
