Stayed before with friends but this time we stayed with our family Excellent level of accommodation in a great location in Bamburgh . Property ideal for a large family to spread out in different rooms
A comfortable cottage with good facilities and excellent location. A few minutes walk to the centre of Alnwick where there there is plenty to see and good restaurants. The cottage was dog friendly and it was appreciated even a little doggy pack was provided.
I booked only the week before the holiday so not really a lot to choose from at a sensible price. The property has been upgraded and it looks amazing. It was too large really as just me and my dog. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 ensuite and a family bathroom, large kitchen diner and generous comfy lounge. The bed downstairs is very comfortable. Lovely garden too which is secure for dogs and children as is the front garden if you make sure the gates are closed. Parking is on the road, not very busy. Puffin View House is a very comfortable, warm and welcoming house. Ideally situated in a quiet area of Amble, but within easy walking distance of the town. Many attractive features within the house, together with exceptional additions for young children, making our stay with 2 young (1 & 3 year old) grandchildren a great experience. Items like stair gates and washer/dryer really helped. Also 2 separate sitting rooms with televisions and a beautifully presented, enclosed rear garden. A perfect family holiday home.
We had a lovely time at Rosemary Cottage. Our first visit to Northumberland and we will definitely be back soon. The cottage is lovely in a beautiful location, nestled in a small hamlet surrounded by fields and a short drive to the beach at Bamburgh. It was wet and windy during our stay but we found plenty to do and explore nearby. On the odd clear day we had views from the garden out to Holy Island and beyond.
Peony Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable property, centrally located in Northumberland and therefore in easy reach of both the coast and the National Park. The hosts live next door and are very approachable. There is a small but well-furnished east-facing courtyard which makes an ideal spot for breakfast outdoors. The kitchen is small but well-equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend the property to others.
From the minute we stepped through the door at Quay West, our jaws dropped! The view overlooking Amble harbour is sensational. Every minor detail has been thought of from the beautiful furnishings to the provision of every essential you could think of. The cottage far exceeded our expectations, it was really lovely. Decorated beautifully and fully loaded with everything you'll need for your stay. Our kids loved it and felt very at home. Inside and outside of the house everything is done to a high standard. Externally, the gardens were very peaceful. The views of the fields were lovely. We stayed for a week so it was handy to have access to the garage which contained an additional fridge freezer. Everything about the North Star ensures that you will have an excellent holiday in Alnwick. The location could not be better and ease of access and private parking are a real bonus; the apartment is very well equipped, very comfortable and the owners have thought of everything to make it a perfect place to stay; the welcome basket was very generous and much appreciated. All the communication from both Coquet Cottages and the owners is straightforward and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a holiday in the area.
Holburn Mill Cottage is a perfect cottage for two in a lovely, peaceful location. It’s very comfortable, cosy and welcoming and we immediately felt at home. Everything was of a high standard, spotlessly clean and included all the things we needed for a great stay. Excellent wi-fi availablity. The Gin Gan was the perfect property to stay for our Northumberland holiday of 3 generations (all adult) plus our cockapoo The spacious property is tucked away on a quiet cut-de-sac about 1km from the centre of Seahouses, so a lovely 10-15min walk All 3 bedrooms are ensuite, there is a large kitchen dining area as you walk into the property with sofas and a tv (this is where we spent most of our time) plus then a separate lounge area with a door out to the small garden. Piggyback Cottage was perfect for us we booked last minute after technically issues with the cottage we had chosen, and we were delighted with our choice, everything in the cottage was homely whilst the finish was of a high class, location was perfect too, Carla was lovely and very hopeful would definately book again
This was our second visit to Greg Hens in less than 6 months and it didn’t disappoint! From the lovely treats the thoughtful owner Marie leaves right through to the relaxing gardens. A fab stay visiting some great sights of Northumberland. We will return most likely later in the year.

We stayed at Oyster Cottage following a very bad experience with a different company who let us down by double booking. Our experience with Coquet Cottages could not have been more different - the professionalism shown from our first contact through to the follow up at the end of our holiday was exemplary. The house was perfect and very well equipped. We had fun in the cinema room watching the England match together. We also enjoyed the garden and were able to sit outside on the lovely sofa. So much space in the different rooms we were able to be together but also find our own place to be quiet. We were 3 generations and a dog and it as perfect.

The minute you drive through the gate to Horseshoe cottage you start to relax. The cottage is in a beautiful location and was just perfect for our first holiday exploring Northumberland. The welcome basket was a real treat, the owners Christine and Alan were lovely, as were the chickens greeting us daily! The cottage was spotlessly clean, the decor was modern and stylish and it had just about everything you could need, a proper home away from home. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful place.
Really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood. Two minutes walk to Amble Links and lovely walking path along the coast. The accommodation is very luxurious and well-equipped, with high-end kitchenware and toiletries, which add to the holiday feeling! Hot tub a real bonus and the sitting room with views to the sea a very relaxing spot.

The Hayloft is a beautifully presented and very comfortable cottage with many thoughtful touches. It was an ideal base for three generations of our family, including a toddler of 17 months. Multiple bathrooms and showers made life very easy, and the property is beautifully furnished and decorated, making it a really pleasant place to stay. It was under 30 mins drive to everywhere we wanted to go (including Bamburgh, Alnwick, the Cheviots), and the village itself is lovely (little shop, park and a great pub in the Percy Arms). We would definitely go back.
The property was spotless, well maintained and equipped, and very comfortable. The bathrooms are lovely with great showers. The beds were super comfortable.The garden is amazing with the most spectacular views and sun ALL day. It is so peaceful-you can't hear anything apart from the birds. The digital guidebook was worth its weight in gold in terms of information and recommendations and photos and so easy to use. A beautiful, peaceful cottage located close to Warkworth and Alnwick. The cottage is so spacious, bright and well equipped. The welcome hampers for humans and our dog were yummy and so generous. Had a wonderful week exploring the area; great beaches, castles and eateries. We were all so sad to leave.
We had a wonderful week at Nightfold. There is always plenty to do in the Alnwick area, but the cottage itself was excellent, with everything provided for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We have used Coquet cottages for many years in this area of Northumberland due to the continued high standard of properties. The Millstone is an outstanding example of this due of course to the hard work and attention to detail provided by the owners who conveniently live next door. Apple tree barn was a delightful house. Very relaxing with everything that you needed, well equipped kitchen, huge lounge with comfortable sofas. The summer house was a bonus but unfortunately the weather wasn't behaving it's self. We were able to sit outside and watch the wildlife once or twice. Plenty of places to visit Bamburgh Castle, Cragside, Alnwick for your groceries. Also not to forget the long stretches of beautiful sandy beaches. Would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone.
This is a lovely flat in a great location with fantastic views over the marina to Walkworth Castle. We spent a lot of time indoors as the weather was pretty foul most of the time and appreciated the space and views from the apartment. The only downside was that the family confined to their flat just above us were noisy. A toddler seemed to spend the day stomping up and down on the floor and we were surprised how this noise transmitted through the ceiling to our apartment.

Genuinely dog proof and extremely comfortable single storey cottage in small village with two shops and two pubs. Walk to the beach and golf course. Great kitchen. Comfortable sofas. Choice of TV channels. All positive. No wonder it gets booked up so quickly!
We had a wonderful stay in Rebecca House. It was beautifully presented, had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. We loved Warkworth and enjoyed walks along the river and to the beach as well as a visit to the castle. Further afield, we really enjoyed trips to Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh Castles, as well as Alnmouth and Cragside. We would definitely want to return.

Ok, sunshine, great location, directions and details sent by Coquet Cottages beforehand certainly helped but the sheer quality of the property was what really did the trick. The house was clean, light, spacious & perfectly positioned for our holiday in Amble. It was also very dog friendly. The games room was a boon in poor weather. The host, Karen was brilliant, and left some tasty treats for us AND the dog, on arrival. We would definitely would stay there again, and would recommend it to others.
Had everything we needed, well equipped ‘ workable kitchen. With family we need 2 lounges so this was perfect (wish agents would put this in their criteria). Large quiet bedrooms with very good bathrooms. Quite central to all the beaches we visited with the 3 dogs & we felt quite at home ☺️.

The Penthouse was fabulous and in a great location. The views from the living accommodation and the main bedroom were superb. Everything in the penthouse was top quality and the bedrooms and the living accommodation had everything you would need for a great holiday. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be coming back. One of the best apartments we have stayed in.
We love coming to Northumberland but always bypassed Lesbury on the way to Alnmouth. That wont happen again as it’s a lovely village with a community shop, a pub and handy for Alnwick, Alnmouth, Amble and numerous beaches up and down the coast. Alnmill Cottage was delightful with not just a welcoming hamper for the humans but one for our Golden Retriever who was (and still is) excited for the squidgy ball that was included! Really lovely period cottage with nice furnishings and very well equipped. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Parking and access round the back of the cottage - with some steps down to traverse to the door. Quiet location - handy for A607 - with reasonable pub beside. Nice sunny sitting area outside - but of course it rained. Well placed for visiting all the major sites in Northumberland, particularly Cragside NT and Rothburt, a charming village up the Coquet Valley. Also close to St Oswald's Way hiking route.
This was our second visit and hope to return. It is ideal for us, my husband isn’t very mobile and it is in a fantastic place right by the harbour. Can park the car outside and there is a lift up which is right beside the apartment door. It is extremely comfortable, would like the same bed at home! There is everything you need, the welcome pack was great. The views are amazing, just sorry we couldn’t use the balcony, far too windy. Had an excellent week at Hemingways. A modern apartment in a fairly new building. Spacious apartment with amazing views and very close to centre of Amble, so everything was within walking distance. Had an EV charger that actually worked! The fact that it is part of the Amble Bunkhouse development means that it has professional staff on hand who were both helpful and friendly - a definite plus!
Pine Cone Hideaway was the perfect retreat for our first wedding anniversary. We really appreciated the two welcome hampers, one for us and one for our dog Bobby. Little touches like a bottle of champers and card to congratulate us on our anniversary were lovely touches. We loved the attention to detail at the property. Great location - peaceful and quiet and easy access to Northumberland coastal villages and beautiful beaches. Accommodation interior was all very fresh and new and exceptionally clean. A very comfortable cottage stay with the owners easily accessible if needed.
This is an amazing cottage in terms of decor and equipment, pretty garden too overlooking a field of sheep. Quiet and restful, a little haven. Absolutely nothing to fault it. Initially I was just a tad concerned about my car parked on the road but all was well!
Eider cottage was a beautiful place to stay. We travelled with my autistic son and 79yr old mum. It was home from home.. We'll appointed and luxury feel . Great quality fittings and kitchen well appointed. Top floor got very warm but fans were very effective.
Our second stay in owl cottage, lovely , welcoming, safe, clean accomodation in a beautiful setting. The welcome package is delightful. Well equipped & good quality beds. Staff very helpful in organising dates as we were unable to book the specific dates online. Expensive but everything is first class.
Roseate House was very welcoming, ideally situated with easy access to beaches, costal paths and local amenities. The harbour, with its range of restaurants and shopping pods only a short walk away, plenty of cafes an excellent ice cream and coffee shop and a variety of pubs most of which have dog friendly areas. Amble is ideally located for exploring the Northumberland coast, castles and villages.
Sea Gem is a beautiful house, modern and comfortable, equipped with everything you need. The welcome pack & fresh flowers on arrival was a lovely addition, full of goodies we enjoyed during our stay. The owner also supplied a cot, high chair, and age appropriate toys for our 1 year old which was a nice touch. The property is within walking distance to the harbour and town centre, with plenty shops and restaurants to choose from. We would definitely return and recommend the property to anyone looking for a break in Northumberland.
Having spent a full week in Honey Bee Cottage there was no negatives, Comfortable surroundings to relax in, kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils/plates/glasses you need for self catering, a nice place to prepare food and also to sit and relax. Views from Honey Bee consist of river Coquet at front and Warkworth castle at the rear. Within the village the pub and hotel food/drink was excellent and well priced.

Another amazing stay at Seafarer. This is our "Happy place" and no matter the weather the views are always stunning with amazing sunsets. The standard overall of the accomodation is pure luxury with the icing on the cakes being the "stressless" chairs to watch that beautiful view from. This is our 4th visit and already planning a 5th. Its been lovely seeing Amble evolving each year and each year there is always another lovely restaurant or cafe in which to indulge ourselves. Lots of lovely walks and picnic stops just minutes from the door - love it !!

This was my third visit to Bamburgh Five and the property and the surrounding area was as beautiful and relaxing as ever.
Fabulous week in this beautiful house. Very comfortable furniture both inside and out. So quiet sitting out on the patio watching the barn owls. Lovely friendly owner with lots of local knowledge. Great walks to the beach and Druridge Country Park from the doorstep but also good spot for exploring this coastline by car.
By far the best cottage we’ve ever stayed in - 10/10 for everything. The special touches are so lovely & thoughtful, right down to the phone call to say we could access the cottage early . This is our third stay at the Old Manse and as 3 generations we all love it. It is a fabulous house with plenty of room for the 8 of us including 2 small children, 9 if you count a dog. All of the rooms having ensuite facilities is a huge bonus and also the king size beds are very comfortable. The well kept garden is safe for the children and they enjoy running around on the lawn. There is also an extensive deck with garden furniture and a huge table and barbecue. The New Dairy was a thoroughly pleasant cottage to be based for our investigation of the Northumberland Coast. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, a little warm at first until we realised and turned the heating off in all the rooms! It still really retains its warmth though. Most modern conveniences are provided with a fabulous welcome hamper too. Some of the fittings are maybe getting a little tired now, and the wooden kitchen work surface maybe wasn't the best choice... Faultless, everything that you could ask for and more in a rental property and close to the beaches.
A lovely house with everything you could need in a very quiet setting. It was very clean and perfect for our two families. Brilliant welcome hamper and had everything you would need to start your holiday. Our grandson also loved watching the horse and sheep in the field nearby and the new play park in the village. Also lots of games to keep him occupied. Highly recommend.
Comfortable, clean and in a fantastic location. Well equipped. The greeting basket with local food and drink is a thoughtful and welcome touch. Hard to put into words … just a wonderful place to stay, beautiful beach side home with amazing views! Position couldn’t be better, step out onto the beach/ play area for kids and a short stroll into Town! Facilities are everything you’d need .. and a delicious welcome pack for adults and doggies ! We would highly recommend Curlew Cottage - it was absolutely perfect! In a lovely quiet place, the whole cottage is luxurious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Although it is a short way out of Bamburgh the location is very quiet and makes the outside space really relaxing. Our stay could not have been any better- thank you!

This Cottage screams quality from the moment you open the door. The lounge furniture was very comfortable …. The curtains in all of the rooms had been individually made to an exceedingly high standard …. The kitchen was expertly fitted with everything you could possibly need for a stay. Upon arrival, we immediately saw how clean and tidy the property was. Harebell House has everything a family one ever need and just as important, everything worked. For those seeking peace and quiet, the location is ideal. The local pub, the Packhorse Inn does excellent food and drinks, is very friendly and only a short stroll away. The well stocked welcome hamper and text message from the property owner was a very nice gesture and much appreciated. Without doubt, we would return to Harebell House for another very enjoyable stay.
The Penthouse is exactly as it looks in the online guide. Well appointed and maintained with high quality fittings and furniture. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. It is bright and airy, quiet and peaceful with views across the river estuary. The welcome basket was generously filled with treats and basics, there was even a quick call from the housekeeper to make sure all was well. This was one of the best places we have stayed.

Our second time back to Wagonway cottage, it is absolutely perfect for us . It has a nice enclosed garden for the dog and comfy seating area to have breakfast outside if you wish. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great and the living area has everything you need .
Just returned from a lovely week away in Northumberland - Heron House was very comfortable and spacious. We were very fortunate with the weather so could make good use of the garden too. Welcome hamper was great with everything you could want to settle in with when you first arrived too. One issue when a battery warning when one of the smoke alarms started to beep - we messaged the owner who replied swiftly and someone round to resolve in about an hour.

We found the cottage central for village and nice walks with our dog. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed with welcome basket which we enjoyed. Excellent staff were available should we have needed anything. Will return.
We have stayed at Earls several times over the past decade. It has been our little bolt hole where our son has enjoyed fabulous beaches, and we have felt very relaxed there. The recent touches such as seating in the small courtyard, and the Alnwick Gardens passes, along with the added Alexa and TV upgrades (for inevitable wet days) are great, and add to the fabulous feel of the property.
Great base for exploring Northumberland, loved watching the rabbits and birds from the lounge. Excellent for star gazing too. V well equipped kitchen. We had a lovely stay.

Nice but a bit dated. Didn’t look as modern as the photos. For the money spent i was a bit disappointed but location makes up for everything.
Wonderfully comfortable home. Alnmouth is the perfect beach holiday for all ages. Grab a coffee and a Nata from Scott’s and head to the beach. The house has everything you will need. It was great to open the doors on the garden as we had good weather. Beds are comfortable. Nothing negative to say. Host very friendly and good welcome pack and special cake for our 40th wedding anniversary.
This was our second stay at Garden Cottage and will certainly not be the last. It is very comfortable , clean and quiet - all that we ask for. It is surround by a beautiful garden, wonderful to take in after fantastic days out in Northumbria.
The pre-arrival information was very good as was the "welcome" hamper. EV charging was a useful addition. Location is good, being close to many of the key attractions of Northumberland. The property was well equipped. Everything we required was provided. The owner checked that we had arrived OK and settled in. This is a first for us, much appreciated.
We had a fab time in the Sewing Room. It’s in the heart of Alnmouth but so cosy, stylish and has its own sheltered and private courtyard. Lovely showers, comfy sofas and all that you need for a pleasant stay. It’s one of the nicest cottages I’ve stayed in - and I’ve stayed in many! Would deffo return.
Larch House is a stunning property with everything you need for a self catering stay. The village is lovely, quiet and peaceful. Great base to explore the area with both Alnmouth and Alnwick close by. The property has a lovely, fully enclosed garden, ideal if you are taking your pets. This is our second visit and it’s fantastic to see both the village shop and pub open. This made a real difference. We had a lovely week at Nr 31 !! Quality fixtures and fittings and very clean. Felt genuinely dog friendly with great garden and doggy welcome pack !! Human welcome pack great too. Great location close to dog friendly pubs and within walking distance of the beach and castle. Had concerns about parking 2 cars but no issues finding a space after trips out (and parking was free in the car park /street). Would definitely stay again if returning to Warkworth.
Fantastic property, photos don’t do it justice! Location is excellent. Short walk to bars, restaurants and marina. Would highly recommend, and will definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay which was an ideal base for exploring the area. The property has been authentically presented as a holiday home while respecting the architectural character in its beautiful setting by the river. Everything was thoughtfully considered with attention to detail, quality and comfort. The oriel window over the river with its window seat was delightful. I would highly recommend this accommodation for 4 to 6 people.
Lane End was great as always, but unfortunately heating in the house is controlled remotely and it was uncomfortably hot in the property for the time we were there, despite requesting that it be turned off in a courtesy call with a very pleasant lady from Coquet Cottages. Turning off the radiators doesn't work for the radiator located at the entrance to the kitchen as this heats both kitchen and living room and is permanently on. The issue seems to lie with the owners and should be addressed, I think.
Overall the property was well maintained and comfortable. We have been to this area before so it is well located for visiting the surrounding area. Whilst there is seating available for outside seating probably lacks a little privacy. There is parking available but care needed when accessing.
I enjoyed my stay at Bridge Barn. The location was perfect and the little garden was very welcome. The cottage has everything you need, including a dishwasher, a washing machine, a large dining table and a gorgeous bathroom. The only negative is that the sofa wasn’t comfortable at all. If you’re staying for a couple of days, it doesn’t really matter, but we stayed for a week. The two chairs probably need to be replaced too.
We liked the position of the house with long distance views of the sea from the upstairs sitting room also wonderful sunsets. The house is modern and new with comfortable beds and lots of space for a family. Emily made us very welcome and had considered our special needs which we appreciated. The walks straight from the door to Warkworth Beach are great. We also enjoyed the coastal walk. You can walk along the beach to Amble in one direction and Alnmouth in the other. The property is in a good location being close to Warkworth. The enclosed large garden was a huge bonus.
This was our second stay and we had a very enjoyable and lovely stay. However there were important things missing such as bin bags tea towels and a few dishwasher tablets to start. The hamper was less comprehensive as there wasn’t even any milk but the bread was delicious. We felt it just needed a little TLC. Also the bbq was unusable as do dirty.
A great short break location. Very well kept cottage and well-equipped, just a shame the bathroom is downstairs but nothing can be done about that. Lots of great places to visit including Alnwick, Bamburgh, Holy Island and NT Cragside.

The Shore is a stunning property situated in the village of Alnmouth. We stayed for a week with family and our spaniel. Everything we could possibly need had been thought of and it was the perfect base for exploring the local towns. A 5 minute walk to the golf course, beach and England Coastal Path. Had some delicious food in the Sun hotel, a few doors down from the Shore. It was just perfect!
cleaning appears to have not been upto to standards for a while.light bulbs not replaced,cooker hood not cleaned.beds were very comfortable and linen clean.great views from the lounge.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Coquet Cottages. The standard, location and cleanliness of our cottage were excellent. We appreciated very much the arrival hamper and flowers and all the information provided with the app - excellent recommendations for days out/events/bars & restaurants. All instructions for our stay, both in advance and during were very clear and helpful. The cottage itself was beautiful and in an idyllic location, it was really well equipped with every small detail addressed which made our stay so very enjoyable. I would strongly recommend both the company and cottage.
From the minute we walked in the door we felt relaxed, welcomed and knew we would have a good holiday and we did. This is a 5 star holiday cottage, well appointed, kitchen had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. We loved this accommodation and would definitely return.
A beautiful cottage that’s comfortable, spacious, brilliantly laid out, very well equipped and with stunning views over the vale to the Simonside Hills. It has lovely gardens, is very private and gives a real feeling of closeness to nature (helped by the sighting of deer and a hare in the garden); even the walks from the cottage have stunning views and a sense of wonderful remoteness. The small nearby village Thropton has a fine pub (the 3 Wheat Heads) with a brilliant beer garden, plus there’s a decent Spar and petrol station. Lovely flat, great location for Alnwick - and surprisingly quiet for a town centre location. The beds were very comfortable although the flat was a bit warm for sleeping as there was only one window that could be left opened overnight (excluding the balcony doors). Generous welcome pack with wine, bread, milk etc. Some of the rugs and blankets could have done with a bit of a clean - they didn't seem that fresh and the long pile floor rug might be a bit impractical for a rental. This cottage was just amazing, decorated to a very high standard. It’s also in a great location, round the corner from lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Thank you for the hamper on arrival and store cupboard essentials, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The cottage was spotless and even had treats for dogs. The owner sent a text ensuring that we arrived and that everything was ok. We are now looking for a long weekend for next year and would use Coquet Cottage company to help find our next perfect cottage
Great week in St Paul's View. The accommodation was spotless and has everything you could ever need. All the items in the house are of a high quality and the little things like the umbrellas and the tupper wear boxes were a great addition for the British weather and a little picnic. Great location just a short walk from the town centre with lots of restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
Seaview is a lovely property with a home from home feel. Furniture, decor and kitchen equipment were of good quality, and the beds were comfortable. The hampers (both human and pet) were great, thanks for including a treat for our cat. The garden could manage a little attention to take advantage of the views to the sea and the seating area catches the morning sun. It's an easy stroll down to Craster village where the Jolly Fisherman is welcoming for just drinks and also does excellent food.

This was our second visit to Wren Cottage. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The cottage is comfy and very well equipped. The beds are especially comfy and the shower powerful. The owner is in the process of replacing one or two items of furniture. The welcome pack was much appreciated as was the provision of basic cleaning products. Very large, sprawling bungalow in a beautiful location in Warkwarth. The court yard garden is a lovely suntrap all through the day with views of Castle Master bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. Unfortunately there ended the positives. The property is in need of lots of TLC in general with a miss match of furniture and pots and pans etc in kitchen and living room some of which were not clean. The cottage was perfect it had everything we needed. It was spotless. Welcome pack with bread and scones and jam bottle of wine etc was very welcome. We wanted a holiday with our young cocker spaniel .We took his cage with us and there was plenty of room for it. Loads of cupboard storage space .good size fridge freezer washer dishwasher and cooker. There were beautiful views over the pier and the sea from the French windows in the living room and the same from the master bedroom. Everything is catered for in the property, and all very high good quality items. Parking awkward for a large vehicle and location not the best. however overall a nice stay.
The property was very good and location excellent. It made our stay all the more enjoyable with all the amenities we wanted close at hand. However, the initial entry process was stressful. We arrived with one key code which did not allow us entry to the site. Fortunately we were within your normal office hours and were able to contact you. I'm not sure what might have happened if we had been later. We were told we needed an entry code which then gave us pedestrian access. We have used Coquet Cottages in the past and often holiday in Northumberland. Warkworth is the perfect, central location and the view from Tower Cottage overlooking the castle was amazing. The cottage was very clean, the welcome basket was such a lovely touch and the extra little bits for Flash the dog. We would love to return in winter as I bet the open fire is very cosy and it was nice to be a short walk from a few pubs and local amenities. We have just spent a week at High Tide, which is such a relaxing and comfortable place to stay, with so many great places to visit within a short distance. The view from the Lounge and the short walk to the beach with the dog, along with the lovely big garden, was the main attraction for us, but being close to the Coastal Path will be an added bonus for many people. The cottage is beautiful, situated right in the middle of Warkworth Main Street. It has great facilities, including everything you would need for self catering. The quality of the furnishings and supplied crockery and cutlery etc is good. The house oozes character and has a beautiful enclosed garden at the back, perfect for sitting outdoors to enjoy the Northumbrian sunshine. We immediately felt at home in this cottage. The lounge has excellent views of Bamburgh castle and the sofas are comfy. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and leads out to an enclosed back patio, great for outdoor meals and reading. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with lots of storage space. The cottage is in a very convenient location, a short walking distance to a glorious beach and numerous cafes, restaurants and bars.
A small cosy flat for three for a weekend ,but for a week would best suit two.It was not maintained to the usual Coquet Cottages standard.Being in our eighties storage of crockery was not good being on low shelf.
I took my parents away for 4 nights at longstone cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is wonderful, it has everything you need and is very comfortable, clean and tidy. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, as was the milk and butter in the fridge. It made us feel very welcome, plus the hamper was delicious! The property location is great too. It’s in a beautiful, quiet private cul de sack but only 15 minutes walk into Seahouses for restaurants and shops. Perfect!
Lovely cottage close to the centre of Warkworth. Home from home. Had a slight issue with a leaking radiator but this was swiftly dealt with by the contact. Warm and welcoming when we arrived. Thank you for the hamper everything we needed for the first night was thought of. Enjoyed so much we have booked again for next year!
Tower House is amazing with excellent facilities for a family with small children. The motion sensory lights fittings in the room were a real bonus when you are up during the night. I would highly recommend Tower House and Warkworth beach is a must for all to visit. Hope to be back soon.
Communication prior to arrival with the cottage owners was great . We loved the sociable space . The house was spacious yet cosy and welcoming . The hot tub was a firm favourite and was enjoyed by all. It felt very private and we were deranged by the garden blackbird and robins I loved the history of the building and the amazing old veterinary books which were a nod to the houses past . We liked the close proximity to Wooler and enjoyed lunch at the Blackbull and a dinner at Milan - everyone was very friendly .
Ashleigh Cottage is situated on the main street through Warkworth and is ideally located to enjoy everything the village has to offer and to access wider Northumberland. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack which even included treats for our dog. Our family group comprised of two adults, two children (10 and 12) and our Labrador and there was plenty of room for all, including when we needed our own space. We had a lovely stay here and visited lots of lovely areas. With having diogs the enclosed garden was very handy! The cottage was very nice! Bamburgh is a beautiful place to stay and the beach is amazing! All in all a great stay!
