We were privileged to be Tern Cottage first guests. We loved our stay. The owners have thought of everything and the property was beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to recommend or return. Super house! Thank you.
Nice comfy clean house that worked well for our family group. It's compact - bedrooms are quite small - but it's comfortable and everything from linen and towels to kitchen equipment feels very new. The house was nice and clean on arrival and the welcome baskets were a nice touch. Take care outside on the paving - it's not entirely flat and I stumbled a couple of times.
From the minute we stepped into Bob's Beach House we knew that we had made the correct choice for our accommodation. It was lovely and clean, spacious, bright and airy. The utility room was a blessing for a place to keep our sandy dog when we came off the beach. No dog lead required as you came out of the back door on to a sandy path and over a sand dune to a superb lovely sandy beach. Beadnell Bay is beautiful and very clean. The hampers were a great touch and contained lots of goodies, the dog hamper was just brilliant and very thoughtful. We also thought that the app you provided was ve...more
We had a great week in this lovely, comfortable cottage. Everything was just perfect and had everything in it we needed.
Always love it here! The place is beautiful, always get a lovely welcome from the chickens too!! The welcome hamper is such a lovely addition, and can’t recommend the village shop enough, great pasties! I missed my fluffy robe this year, I rebooked without reading the website saying it was on request now so I definately won’t forget next year as we’ll definitely be coming again. Thanks to Alan and Christine, lovely people xxx
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Cuthberts cottage. The house is exactly as described on the website and everything is pristine from the decor to the towels and fully equipped kitchen. There was a very warm welcome with a hamper filled with local goodies and a hand written personal note from the owners. There is not a single thing that could be improved. It is an excellent base for seeing local highlights ( we visited Inner Farne Islands to see nesting puffins but also Lindisfarne and Dunstanburgh Castle). There are also some very nice local restaurants.
Beautiful house in a great location for the beach. Coastal paths to low Newton and Seahouses and the Landing cafe and restaurant on the doorstep. The owner was really helpful before and during the stay. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Beautiful, dog friendly, clean & well appointed apartment in the ideal location next to the castle/gardens plus a plethora of pubs, restaurants & shops. Just 10 mins drive from the beaches, coastal walks & historic castles & 40 mins to Holy Island & Berwick upon Tweed. Apartment was spotless, had everything you need for a holiday & looks out onto a private playing field & the castle. All rooms are spacious, parking is private & secure / covered. Lift available to access all floors. Lovely hampers provided with goodies for us & the dog. The perfect holiday.
Our stay at Grey Hens couldn’t have been better. The property was so comfortable and the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into making it so welcoming and a home away from home! Lovely quiet country location helped you to switch off from stresses of everyday life and escape to the beautiful Northumberland scenery and beaches.
We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oyster Cottage. Set in a small close of similar, well-kept units, it has two dedicated parking spaces. Once we stepped inside, everything was spotless, immaculate and felt like home away from home. The most enormous welcoming hamper set the tone, accompanied by a personalised hand-written card. Its location was perfect for exploring all the attractions at this amazing corner of Northumberland!
Excellent property thoughtfully furnished and with all modern conveniences. Very good location. 5*.
The accommodation was extremely clean and well equipped. The location was excellent both for walking into Amble and exploring Northumberland by car.
Quay West is absolutely gorgeous. Everything about our stay was lovely, from the beautiful decor, quality furnishing, stunning views, to the very thoughtful touches from the hosts, which included a very lovely welcome basket. The information provided about the property was comprehensive and easily accessible, and right up to our arrival we were kept informed of everything we needed. Thank you :D
We enjoyed our 18 day stay at North Star. This is the second time we have been to North Star. It is lovely clean and comfortable apartment, situated close to the centre of Alnwick. The owners a very kind and helpful people to deal with. Alnwick is a lovely town and is situated in the middle of Northumberland with good roads to explore the county.
We have stayed here several times over the last 2 years. As a three generational group it suits our needs perfectly. Plenty space for 4 adults and 2 children. The views are wonderful. Very happy times in Low Tide.
We had a lovely week at a lovely cottage. All our needs were catered for.Owners were welcoming and helpful
Excellent property and location - peaceful and relaxing Property spotless Hen's roaming free were delightful - their eggs were very tasty Hamper on arrival was very well stocked with good produce Location is well placed for travelling to and from Bamburgh/Beadnell/Seahouses Would definitely consider returning for another stay and recommending to friends and family
We could not fault the Gin Gan! Beautifully presented, high quality furnishings and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sian was a gracious host clearly interested in us having a relaxing time.
A beautiful house, spacious and well proportioned, perfect for a family get together. Emberside is ideally situated in the heart of Warkworth. Wonderful garden with glorious views of the castle. We would definitely revisit.
Loved the accommodation, it had everything we needed, a real home from home. perfectly situated to explore Northumberland too. Close enough to beaches (which we love) to visit every day and so many to choose from. Beds were so comfortable too. Shops just a five minute drive away with a great selection. Try Turnulls on the willowburn retail park for food supplies. The pub in the village is definitely worth a visit too
The decor is absolutely beautiful and the owners have met every possible requirement in providing a luxurious holiday home. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was exquisitely laundered which created total delight. Plenty of hangers and good quality toiletries, hairdryer, plenty of dishwasher etc tablets showed such attention to detail so we could properly relax and not have to shop for the boring things which are often skimped on in our experience, and can spoil the holiday. The kitchen is very well equipped too although being almost next door to a great pub - and ple...more
The Alba was excellent from start to finish. The cottage was tastefully furnished, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean which meant we could start our holiday right away with a good feeling. The whole cottage was comfortable and the luxury toiletries are an added, welcome bonus. It's clear that a lot of time, effort and attention to detail have been given by both the owner and the housekeeper, every thing you could possibly want/need (and more) is available at The Alba. We were blessed with the most amazing weather all week which afforded some spectacular views and sunsets. The Alba...more
Lovely cottage very suitable for exploring Northumberland. The cottage met all our requirements and the owner, Lorraine was very welcoming and friendly.
An absolutely charming cottage, in a quiet rural area, The Millstone was perfect in every way, decorated & equipped to a really high standard, and so central for touring around Northumberland. We will definitely be staying again. I highly recommend.
Everything u would ever want from a holiday home. Can't fault at all 100% woukd recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Northumberland
Beautiful house, fully equipped. Love the living area being upstairs, great views. Would highly recommend.
Our stay at Sunflower House was great. The house its self is gorgeous, everything we needed for our family and in a perfect location. We would definitely like to stay here again when we come to Alnwick
Excellent house which we have now had 2 wonderful stays in. Everything we could possible need and perfect location
Apple Tree barn is welcoming, comfortable & located just outside Alnwick, & is within easy reach of the coast & beaches. The barn has everything needed, being spacious, well equipped & has a large enclosed garden & a summer house in which to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. The welcome hamper was really appreciated, as well as the lovely roses. We enjoyed a super week’s holiday with our two Border Terriers & will certainly be returning again.
First class cottage in a lovely area of Northumberland. Top of the range furnishings throughout. Excellent welcome pack - best we've ever had. By a road but still peaceful. Warkworth and the coast just a couple of miles down the road.
We had a lovely family holiday staying 4 nights at Driftwood in Amble. The holiday home was filled with home comforts as well as some extras, lots of space, very clean and in a brilliant location.
The cottage had all we needed and more. Furnishings and crockery were of a high standard and overall comfort was excellent. Warkworth is a glorious village and the cottage was in a brilliant location to access all the amenities
We had such a fab 4 night stay in this beautiful apartment, it was spotlessly clean with lots of extra special touches
We had the best holiday here, great location, cottage is so well equipped, lots of extra touches - as we've cone to expect from Coquet Cottages. We enjoy cooking on holiday and the kitchen was particularly well set up. The comfiest bed EVER!
We had such a lovely break at Revillo Lookout, the property is great and fully kitted out from kitchen essentials to outdoor living space! The hamper was a great touch full of snacks and essentials for our arrival! The owners were also great given us recommendations for day trips and places to eat! We were lucky with the weather too which meant to south facing decking and outdoor space was fully utilised! Great location, Amble and Alnwick are very close even by bus! Thanks for a lovely stay
There were a few minor issues during the stay, however, the owners resolved them super quickly and efficiently. Overall very pleased with the property and indeed to the area. Much to see locally.- Alnwick castle and gardens, Farne islands, Bambrough Caste, Holy Island were all must sees. There was a great quiz night in the Sun pub in Warkworth village, quiz, food and service all excellent.
The Old Library is outstanding in every way and is very well located to explore Alnwick and the surrounding area. The service provided by Coquet Cottages was excellent and the digital guide was really helpful
Beautifully presented cottage in an idyllic setting situated in the best small town in Northumberland. Everything that you will need for a stay in a self catering cottage plus a few things you won’t have thought of and were not expecting.
The accommodation was beautiful throughout. Everything was very clean, and all the fixtures and fittings were of high quality. View from the very large enclosed garden was lovely. Location excellent for visiting all the local attractions. Don't forget to try the ice cream at the near by dairy. Couldn't fault anything, very highly recommended.
Absolutely gorgeous cottage. Well appointed and had everything you need. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Would definitely recommend this property.
Excellent cottage in a beautiful village Have been here before in a different cottage. The cottage has been extended to give you plenty of space. Two bathrooms both with showers one with a bath. The kitchen has been equipped to a very high standard and has won a gold award. The village is lovely a pub which serves meals and a very good local store run by volunteers. Lesbury is well located just a mile from Alnmouth and three miles from Alnwick.the other direction takes you to Warkworth and Amble.
What an excellent property this is. Tony and his team are also very friendly and helpful. The views from the balcony over the Marina and river cockett were helped by the gorgeous weather. The hot tub was well used by our party. Very comfortable beds and pillows and slept very well. Only glitch is the other half of the site caters for bikers, walkers and schools. We had a school party in that were quite boisterous until 9pm in two evenings. Would definitely be return
Now we are older some higher comfy chairs would be appreciated and the mattress could be renewed pls.
Good location, 5 minutes from beaches and the property had everything we required for our stay. Overall would recommend this to anyone who wants some R & R.
We always enjoy our stays in this apartment. The position of the apartment on the marina is just stunning, you can spend hours watching the tide go in and out, watch boats come and go, and the birds flying around the water. The apartment is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you need. The accommodation is spacious and the bathrooms are all very well appointed. The shared spaces are always very clean and well maintained. The apartment is ideally placed not just for a break in Amble but to explore the whole coastline.
Three generations enjoyed a second visit to The Carriage House which was an ideal property near the beach. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms made it easy for everyone to be up and out early in the morning. Outside space was an added bonus. We hope to return again.
Brada House was the perfect location to stay in Northumberland. The house was immaculate, fresh and modern. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!
A lovely homly cottage, great to meet up with family. Plenty of space so you don’t feel on top of one another. Loved the spinning globe in the landing window. Lots of lovely places to eat out within walking distance.
Lovely house. Very clean. Great location for beach and exploring the area. We appreciated the welcome hamper and fresh flowers
A lovely, tastefully furnished, well equipped cottage in a rural location. It was blessed with beautiful views of the Allen Valley. Owner Mary gave us a warm welcome just after our arrival along with a generous, quality welcome pack. Not sure if it was a feature of the greater area or just a reflection of the time of year but the sparse traffic was a joy.
Warm and cosy-tasteful decor-well equipped Kitchen-private garden space-comfy beds-good parking 2 cars-the cottage has a lovely feel about it- we really enjoyed our stay. Will be returning dog loved it too- secure garden
A beautiful home that the owners allowed us to share. The attention to detail & quality of fixtures/fittings/ furnishing was exemplary. The owners have style…
We had a fantastic family weekend break at this beautiful property — it truly had everything we needed for a comfortable home-from-home vacation. The location was ideal, right in the heart of the village and just a short walk to the stunning bay at Beadnell. Perfect for a relaxing coastal break! The charming patio provided an ideal setting for alfresco dining and drinks. We were touched by the incredibly generous and thoughtful welcome pack.
Can’t really fault the Sewing Room, everything was of a good standard, the location was excellent for the beach, cafes and restaurants. Having the enclosed courtyard to ourselves, the other property being vacant was a real bonus. Excellent all round.
Very comfortable and well equipped apartment that was ideal for my Mum, who has limited mobility. All one level apartment with lift access was perfect, and the view over the marina was lovely. Level walking to the sea front and all amenities. The beds were comfortable and the welcome hamper a lovely treat. Thank you.
My wife and I have been holidaying in Northumberland for 20 years now. The best property we have used.
We have just returned home from our third stay at Owl Cottage and have already booked for next year. The cottage has everything we need for a relaxing holiday and the views are just perfect. Warkworth itself is just the prettiest place and a perfect base for exploring the wonderful coast and countryside of Northumberland.
A home from home cottage which was situated in a very quiet col de sac at the western edge of North Sunderland so a little further walk into Seahouses than we appreciated. Coquet Cottages handled our booking excellently keeping us informed throughout the process.
We enjoyed our week enormously. Hostspur Cottage was very comfortable and cosy and spotlessly clean. It’s in a perfect peaceful position yet only steps away from the village with shops, pubs and restaurants and a short stroll to the Church, Castle and river. We had everything we could possibly require for our stay. Toiletries were high class and luxury. We received a stunning welcome hamper plus one for our dog. Parking was easily available and free in Warkworth which is a terrific bonus. The staff at Coquet Cottages were extremely professional, kind and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Wo...more
Excellent property, very clean and comfortable. It smelled lovely as we entered beautiful wooden floors throughout. Excellent central location in Alnwick.
Lovely clean spacious property. Great location. Fabulous customer service. The app is very helpful. The property is very well equipped and to a great standard. Really comfortable bed.
Very much enjoyed our stay great apartment stunning views and spectacular sunsets so close to Everything great for bird watching and relaxing
Enjoyed our time at this lovely cottage. Comments regarding tight access road below. Only other comment would be that the bath / shower was quite deep and may have presented a little difficulty to someone with mobility issues.
Always a pleasure to arrive at Garden Cottage thanks to Phil and Debbie’s attention to detail. So comfortable and the most beautiful garden to relax in.
A really lovely cottage in an ideal location for exploring the area away from the hustle & bustle of Bamborough. There are wonderful views from the garden with the added attraction of the summerhouse. The thoughtful provision of an excellent welcome hamper helped enormously on arrival (and was well used!).
The cottage was in a great location we were a bit worried about the parking but there was no issue. The cottage was lovely very well equipped and welcome hamper great. I think that the check in time should be 3pm not 4pm as you lose most of the arrival day.
We had a fabulous holiday at Herron House. The house is absolutely fabulous with every thing you could possibly need. What a wonderful time we had at Herron House in June. It is finished to very highest standard. The beds, bedding and towels were all beautiful quality. As were all the furnishings throughout. There was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived , full of delicious goodies and treat, even the dogs weren't left out as there was towels, treats and toys left for them. Lovely touches. The weather was beautiful whilst we were there so we were able to make the most of the garden, t...more
Harebell House is one of the best properties we've ever stayed in. Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything one could possibly need in a holiday home. A superb welcome hamper and lots of useful information about places to visit, along with a useful walking booklet. Good situation for visiting many interesting places and a pub serving food within walking distance.
We enjoyed a fabulous stay in Straw House. The house was beautifully presented, inside and out, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. It was very clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring Northumberland. The host was very welcoming and provided all the information we needed ahead of our arrival. I appreciated the quick call she made to make sure we arrived safely. It was a lovely personal touch. We hope to return soon.
This was our second multigenerational stay and we all enjoyed it very much. Love walking down to the beach and on to Almouth. Our dogs love the huge clean beaches and also the big secure garden. The owners provided a lovely cot and high chair for the baby who is just walking and enjoyed all the space to play. We had some great meals out but also some great meals in at the huge table. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Love seeing the glittering sea from the bedrooms.
QuarterDeck is a fabulous apartment with wonderful views of the marina and the Croquet River, where you can sit and watch the bird life and stunning sunsets from the balcony. Great location in Amble able to park car in secure parking and just walk to the many excellent restaurants close by. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you could need including welcome hamper and flowers. We will definitely stay there again and book through Coquet Cottages who have the most reliable, efficient and helpful staff.
We were 6 couples who live in different parts of the country (& Germany!) who all worked abroad together 40+ years ago; we have a holiday get together each year in many different locations. Everyone agreed Honeypot House provided the best accommodation we’ve ever had. The house is so spacious with large rooms where we could all sit together and chat or eat yet still plenty of areas where you could find a quiet space. The garden is wonderful to wander in, sit in or play in and there’s plenty of space to park 6 cars at the front. The house was well equipped, especially in the kitchen and the...more
We use coquet cottages for any holiday booked in Northumberland as their service and professionalism is excellent and Stephanie and the team are very friendly and helpful. The house in Duke street was excellent . Very close to the centre and in an nice part of the town. The house was very impressive and the owners background in interior design clearly showed. However it was a home and felt very comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying there and we will again. Alnwick has a lovely park area called Hulne park with six designated walking routes which we discovered in last...more
A wonderful house in the perfect location Although we were informed at the last minute that Coquet Cottages no longer managed the property the owner could not have been more helpful. Everything you could need is provided.
The property is exactly as advertised and is quite beautiful, set in a lovely location. I would absolutely recommend this property and would return if staying in Alnmouth with my family. No problem to us, but steps up to the property and then stairs inside to get to the living areas could be a challenge for some and should be noted. Lovely views over the estuary from the balcony and some spectacular sunsets to experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Virginia Cottage! Everything was top-notch and in perfect working order. The cottage is beautifully decorated with charming finishing touches that you’d expect in a cozy country retreat. It’s the ideal spot for a relaxing getaway for two. The location is peaceful yet just a short stroll from shops, pubs, and bistros. While there’s no dedicated parking, we’ve stayed here three times and have always found parking easily at the bottom of the lane, so it’s never been a problem.
Lovely cosy bungalow in excellent location.Great for our two dogs Pub across road very handy and serving excellent food. Clean and warm with plenty of space for 6 people. Only criticism was bathroom for the twin bedded room the water not going down plug quickly enough and shaver point not working. TV’s in bedrooms a waste due to no service apart from Netflix
Our second stay at Willow Loft and it felt like home from home. A beautiful property in a beautiful location. We will definitely be returning.
We spent a very sunny weekend in Waleric House which meant we got to take advantage of the garden and balcony. The house is beautifully appointed and has everything you could need. We enjoyed Alnmouth, which was bustling as it was the Art Fair. The weekend was for a 60th birthday celebration and it definitely lived up to expectations.
Eider Cottage holiday weekend in Warkworth. A well equipped, very central located house. Very clean & welcoming
The cottage is in the perfect location and there was plenty of parking in the immediate area. We were able to walk into Warkworth itself, we could walk to the beach, had a lovely walk down by the river and back to the cottage via the castle and also walked to Amble and back. It is so quiet where the cottage is situated as well which made it a very restful place to stay. We were extremely lucky with the weather so we were out and about most of the stay but if the weather had turned we would not have been unhappy to have to stay inside this cottage. Inside, the living room and conservatory ar...more
This provided perfect accommodation for 5 couples playing 3 days golf nearby. Great to have 5 en-suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Plenty crockery & cutlery so dishwasher used to its full capacity. Lovely garden but unfortunately the weather prevented any BBQ options.
We love Northumberland and have lost count oh how many times we have visited. Coquet cottages always excellent
Our stay at the New Dairy was great by almost all measures. The single issue is related to its location (which admittedly can’t be changed). On our first day we walked from the cottage to Bamburgh down the road, which clearly is the shortest way. However we felt that although the road can take two cars there is no room for pedestrians, no footpath or room by hedges. Most drivers were considerate and slowed / stopped if necessary, but there were a few who felt doing 50mph only inches from pedestrians was OK, clearly dangerous and pretty scary. Although there is a comment along the lines of w...more
Wagonway Lodge has been thoughtfully converted and the large central space - kitchen, dining area, sitting area running into each other - is large and airy. Beds are very comfortable but there is no blackout so we woke at 4am most mornings. It's a stone's throw to the excitement of Barter Books and a short walk into the historic centre, although the independent butcher has now closed, while the Co-op is low on fresh produce. We ended up driving out to the large retail park to the south of the town for all our food shopping. Alnwick Castle and Garden (separate attractions) are both expensive...more
We had a great week at Saltwater Cottage. It is in a very good location, only a few hundred metres from the amenities in Seahouses, but quiet and backs onto fields. It was beautifully and tastefully decorated, and we loved all the artwork and little finishes. It was well equipped, with the exception of an oven-proof dish/casserole dish (we bought one and left it there!). Our only woes were the sofas (looked great, not so comfortable as they looked), and the shower (over the bath, definitely not a power shower). However, these were minor, and did not affect our enjoyment of the cottage. We appr...more
We recently stayed Curlew Cottage for our first visit to the Northumberland coast and we were not disappointed. The accommodation is first class and its location peaceful. There is easy access to local villages and the coast and it is very easy to find a local restaurant or pub for your lunchtime or evening meals. The parking space and enclosed garden of Curlew Cottage were also an asset, with the former taking the stress out of finding somewhere to park for the night after a long day out. All in all a fantastic location to explore the Northumberland Coast.
Our second visit to Riverstone. It’s a lovely house, tasteful decor & very comfortable furnishings. Super well equipped kitchen, really does have everything you need. Superb location with window seat providing hours of nature watching. Everything worked, everything was clean and well looked after. A real pleasure returning to Riverstone.
Great location not only for Warkworth and the beach, but also trips to Alnwick, Amble, and Alnmouth. House is very well stocked and clean. Smashing holiday.
This is a lovely cottage in Thropton high up on a hill with wonderful views. It’s near the town of Rothbury so close to Cragside. The coast is only a short distance too. The surrounding hills are wonderful for walking and there is a local golf course. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable after long days out. Very quiet and almost isolated.
Stayed as a family with adult children. Lovely house with everything you could need (except maybe somewhere outside to hang clothes if I'm being really nit-picking) Made use of the board games and enjoyed sitting out on the balconies. Easy walk into Amble or up the braid to Warkworth. Missed seeing the dolphins but plenty of birds to spot
Fuchsia cottage was perfect for 2 adults but also worked well for four of us who don’t mind sharing a bathroom/wc. The cottage actually seemed bigger than the photos suggested - in particular, the kitchen diner which was a lovely space to hang out, share meals and watch the sunset when the weather didn’t allow us to get into the garden. Super comfy beds, a great shower and very peaceful - we’d thoroughly recommend. A great central base for visiting all that the coastal Northumberland had to offer.
This is a very comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage, ideal for our multi-generational party. The situation on the outskirts of the village is very quiet and ideal for exploring the area, there was no issue parking on the road outside the property but we did holiday at half-term. The play park which is almost next door was an added bonus for our little grand daughter.
A beautiful well equipped cottage in a great location. Cosy, clean, parking space, pretty garden space. We will be booking this cottage again.
We were very impressed with this house...perfect for a family with mixed age groups. The young kids loved the toys and we appreciated the well equipped kitchen and amount of fridge space. Fantastic location too...one mile walk to the beach and a bit less into town.
Booked this accommodation going off previous reviews, on arrival the front of the house garden was unkempt as was the rear garden, situated near to shops, harbour etc so ideal for eateries, shops, quiet street, lots of cars parked but managed to park easily, comfortable clean beds, kitchen equipped with most of everything you would need, nice welcome pack, didn’t like the plastic table cloth, no toilet rolls but no problem just went & bought some, decoration needs some TLC overall a reasonable stay, having used Coquet Cottages for a number of years we felt this wasn’t up to their normal standa...more
Beautiful house with secure off road parking. The house is well located at the top of the quiet village of Lesbury. Surrounded by other properties but fairly private. Very comfortable and everything you could need during your stay. Didn’t use the garden this year but outdoor seating is provided which is great when the weather is good. The welcome hamper is excellent. Really nice touches if you are bringing your dog with treats and dog bowls provided. Very well equipped property with fully enclosed garden. Very good apartment in need of some maintenance work e.g. window frames. Parking arrangements are a little free format would be better if each apartment had a dedicated space. Great location with wonderful views
Such a wonderful place to stay - the views are amazing - the Cheviots, the Farne Islands and Bamburgh castle. I have been coming here for several years now and it never disappoints! So comfortable and welcoming. The lovely personal touch of the owner calling to check that all is ok on the first evening so special.
A very comfortable home from home in a wonderful location. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay at Alnwick Pad. Was very clean, comfortable and well stocked flat. Perfect location as well!
Stayed here for two weeks, very impressed with the accommodation, first impressions count. We are regular visitors to Alnmouth, so glad of reasonable proximity to the beach and restaurants/pubs. On entering the property, it was evident the cleaning team had done a thorough job, it was clean and fresh; we were also very appreciative of the welcome pack, some nice touches, dogs also were given treats. The property is well resourced with ample crockery, glassware etc, although the pan handles were poorly insulated and got very hot. The complimentary toiletries were well received, also glad o...more
Really lovely cottage, very well equipped. Great welcome hamper. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks.
Beautiful cottage. Exceptionally clean. Location couldn't have been better. So easy to get to other area's. Banbrough. Almouth. Sea houses. All within easy distance. Beautiful town right on door step .Secure yard for dogs .. The only one downside was the noise from the road . Due to the single glazed windows, but on saying that it wouldn't stop me from booking this Beautiful cottage again as the pro far out weight the 1 con
Good location, view and parking on drive. Well equipped and a lovely welcome basket. The Jolly Fisherman was worth a visit.
The cottage is in a great location, close to the A1 so you have easy access up to the Scottish Borders as well as the coast and countryside of Northumberland. The cottage is well equipped and offers a great selection of books and leaflets to tell you more about the local area. The visiting house martins were wonderful as is the rest of the wildlife around the property. The views are lovely and far reaching, waking up and looking out to the view and hearing the sheep was bliss. We had a fantastic visit to Northumberland and the cottage was a great base to explore the surrounding are...more
Excellent apartment, everything you needed and more, centrally located,a short walk to a relaxing garden
The cottage was ideal for our stay with our dog. Out in the countryside but also withiin easy access to a beach - Warkworth Dunes were the nearest.
We had a great stay at Seaview while walking the Coastal Path. The cottage was well- equipped and beautifully furnished, with plenty of room for six adults downstairs. The conservatory was a lovely place to relax in the evening sunshine. The location in beautiful countryside was in walking distance of two pubs and a tearoom, and within easy driving distance of Alnwick and Bamburgh. A lovely spot to stay.
Previous occupation with pet dogs had left excessive hairs. Vacuum cleaners were blocked and full of hair debris and floors and upholstery was dirty. House was exceptionally appointed with everything you could need on holiday. Views over the links to the sea were beautiful. Shame cleaners had not removed dog hairs - unblocking vacuum cleaner brushes and emptying would have sorted everything out.
A lovely week staying at Novelist’s Cottage in Alnwick. Unique property with all you could need supplied for a comfortable stay. Hamper was a super touch. Minimal outdoor space, so be mindful if this is what you require, but has the great advantage of off street parking Superb location within a 5 mins walk to local eateries and sightseeing attractions. Tip- take the short cut through wee dodds lane. No negatives at all, missing the church bells ringing!
Have stayed at Lilac Cottage once before but not in the summer. We found it very noisy with big lorries coming past all day! Cottage itself has everything you need & was clean & comfortable. Instructions for using the cooker would have been helpful but did manage to work it out! Garden area needs attention, weeds growing! Love the area a very friendly community!
Good location, nice garden to sit out in and very comfortable. Nice pubs and walks available in the village
Grace Cottage is a very comfortable apartment an easy five minute walk from Bamburgh’s centre. It’s beautifully decorated with quality bedding, furnishings and kitchen equipment. Generous welcome hamper.
Very well equipped property, with views that were even more impressive than expected. Gardens are a great source of interest for the birdlife.
The Atrium apartment was exceptionally clean and well equipped. It’s in a great location being within a few minutes walk from a choice of restaurants and a supermarket across the road. Alnwick is well located for all Northumberland has to offer. I would use Coquet again as their customer service is 5 star!
We very much enjoyed our stay at The Bridge Barn, which is beautifully situated in the picturesque village of Warkworth. On arrival, we were delighted to find some thoughtful treats left for us and our two Springer Spaniels, Millie and Betsy — a lovely touch that was much appreciated. The barn was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was particularly comfortable, and we enjoyed waking up to the view through the French windows, which opened onto a small but pleasant patio garden — a perfect spot for a morning coffee. While the armchairs an...more
Had a fantastic week, the house is really lovely. Would be even better with an additional shower as for older people the bath wasn’t accessible and maybe slightly less furniture in the bedrooms to give more space. Kitchen was a great space, could have benefited from a couple more chopping boards, dishwasher tablets and clingfilm. House location is great, a short stroll to plenty of amenities and good to have a parking space though lots just over the road and some handy riverside grass for the dog. Beach and river walks close by, olds went to Alnwick on the bus and loved the gardens and booksho...more
booked this really quite short notice, and luckily was able to book the Tower Cottage from Monday to Friday, for two and one dog, love the communication by Coquet, kept well informed, sent the link to the online information for the cottage etc, really helps if you havent been before, as it gives you everything you need to know about the cotrtage, the local area etc. when we arrived on the Bank Holiday Monday it was quite busy in Warkworth, but was able to park at the cottage and then we got all the gear in, this is the second cottage we have stayed in with Coquet and they are always in a gr...more
Seascape was a spotlessly clean and well equipped house with a fantastic view of the sea. It had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water hot. We watched dolphins and seabirds and had the benefit of beautiful weather. The welcome pack was appreciated and very useful. We were slightly worried about using the WiFi, as not sure if it was public. However a very minor detail that did not detract from the holiday in any way. Coquette Cottages kept us informed every step of the way and were extremely helpful.
A solution everything about this cottage was fabulous. The online information was excellent with everything we needed to know. The cottage was easy to find and perfect parking spaces. On opening the door there was an amazing welcome hamper and the most delicious scones. The cottage felt like home straightaway. Plenty of space for our grown up family. The cottage is close enough to walk into Seahouses for a drink or meal, but benefits from being in a quiet area.
The cottage was lovely, clean, welcoming and just as it appeared on the booking site. A welcome pack was provided with all the basic essentials and more. The two bedrooms were spacious and the beds were all comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with a power shower and a lovely bath (just what you need after a days outing). The steps down from the front door into the lounge and the lounge into the kitchen took some getting used to (maybe a strip at the top of the steps would be helpful if possible). All in all we had a really good stay thank you .
You cannot fault the location of this property, the views were amazing. However, it was dirty and the en-suite was extremely smelly. The cooker also did not work for the entire time we were there. There is also only a washer not a dryer. To give the owner credit, they tried hard to resolve the issues but we came home early. There will be a letter sent in due course to Coquet cottages, but I cannot fault their help.
We enjoyed our stay in The Rushes , it is well maintained house with everything you need. The location by the river is excellent and it is a good base for exploring the surrounding area. The station at Alnmouth is great for exploring further afield. The welcome pack deserves a mention, it was excellent. We would stay again if we were in the area.
We had a lovely stay very well equipped only downside was the pillows could do to upgrade them and also think about putting up a shelf for toiletries in the en-suite bathroom
Brilliant accommodation with everything you would wish for a self-catering stay - and more ! Welcome hamper and scones was a lovely treat. Plenty bathroom space if 2 couples staying as main bedroom is en suite with shower and second bedroom opposite bathroom - and each bedroom had its own TV Huge fridge freezer for storing food if you want to cook your own meals Having streaming services on TV in lounge was an added luxury And watching all the little birds flying around front garden was an added bonus Definitely recommend
Such a shame a badly stained carpet in the bedroom spoiled what would have been an excellent stay. Property could benefit from a fan as it was very hot.
We had a great few days with all my family celebrating my 60th birthday. Some nice touches, hot tub towels and flip flops were a great idea. Bedrooms extremely comfortable and kitchen had everything you could wish for. A couple of small criticisms: The BBQ wasn't great and there was only a half bag of coals. House details said there would be a full bag of coals in the summerhouse but there wasn't. The outdoor benches, swings and hammock were all covered in bird poo and green moss. Not very hygienic when there are young children running about. The guide referred to complimentary toilet...more
Well appointed , fully stocked and Fabulous location in the center of Bamburgh . 4 Bedrooms allow for ample space
Cosy, well equipped cottage located in the centre of Bamburgh. Great to have the courtyard where we enjoyed a sunny evening. Customer service was great throughout the booking process and in the lead up to our holiday. Would recommend.
We had a comfortable stay but just felt this property was not as clean as other cottages we have rented from Coquet. No way could we have eaten outside as the area was very dirty and unkempt.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was nicely furnished. Nice decor and very comfortable furniture. Bedrooms very comfortable and bright and airy. Bathrooms had everything you needed. Showers excellent. Kitchen had all you need. Excellent dining room. We were very disappointed that we could not use the outside seating because the bench and the floor around it were covered in bird droppings. The outside of the kitchen windows had not been cleaned for some time - (dust and cobwebs) which was not a good look as you enter a property so it was a pleasant surprise to see that the interio...more
I cannot help but give this place five stars. The customer service began with a phone call in the afternoon of our first day, telling us that the cottage was ready for us. We were walking around the village with a couple of hours to spare, so this was great news. We walked in to fresh flowers, a handmade cake (delicious) and everything else we could wish for. The beds were comfortable, the sofas were comfortable, there were plenty of cups and plates in the kitchen, together with a coffee machine, and lots of books to choose from. We went in the hot tub, and were surprised to find flipflops...more
Booked for a three generation seaside break. Excellent location. Lovely private courtyard for dog and toddler. Very well equipped kitchen for cooking large family meals Loved the VHS library
We wanted a cottage with an enclosed garden and well-located for local activities and restaurants so this seemed like a good find. The cottage was clean and comfortable but lacked the finishing touches that would have made it special for the amount that was charged. For example it would have been good to have a windbreak for the beach, better cooking utensils and serving / baking dishes and somewhere outside to wash boots or the dog (even just a washing up bowl!). We had a leak under the sink which we reported but we ended up fixing it ourselves and I’m not sure if anyone came. We also aske...more
