This delightful cottage sits close to the beach at Alnmouth, a mere 1 mile easy walk or short drive. Its immediate setting is in the rural village of Lesbury, a pretty village steeped with history. Alnmill Cottage sleeps up to 4 and is dog friendly, allowing two small dogs or one large to stay. Private off-road parking for one car and additional parking on the roadside. Lovely outside space to enjoy the sunshine.Free Wi-Fi and Digital Guidebook.

Alnmill Cottage was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable furniture and beds. Shower was great which is rare in a holiday cottage…but so important. There were little touches that were great and finally location was excellent. You have probably guessed we had a fantastic holiday

From the moment we opened the door to see those lovely chairs we knew everything would be good, and it was. Very clean, thoughtful down to the last detail. The shower rooms looked brand new and sparkled. Being rather short sighted I always approach unfamiliar showers with some trepidation but they were easy to use. The beds were comfortable though a little small as we were used to a 6 ft bed at home but at the cottage there were clearly constraints on space available. The towels were soft and the supply was generous.
I would be very happy to return some day.

I'd love to say dealing with the company , owners and cottage was bad but it was fair from that it was EXCELLENT the best holiday rental I've ever stayed in.
Hot tub would of been nice but in fairness we didn't even miss that.
I know by giving this excellent I'm going to struggle to book it next year but I'm sorry i have to say these guys got us out of a holiday from hell and in that alone I owe them but this cottage was more than I could of dreamed off.
And the hamper well that was a cherry on the top...
Thank you all so very much

The kitchen is very well-stocked and several thoughtful outdoor seating areas have been provided. The sitting room is comfortable.
There’s a community pub nearby with a pizza van that offers absolutely delicious pizzas. It’s a pleasant 40 minute walk across fields to Alnmouth.
We enjoyed our stay here.

We love coming to Northumberland but always bypassed Lesbury on the way to Alnmouth. That wont happen again as it’s a lovely village with a community shop, a pub and handy for Alnwick, Alnmouth, Amble and numerous beaches up and down the coast.
Alnmill Cottage was delightful with not just a welcoming hamper for the humans but one for our Golden Retriever who was (and still is) excited for the squidgy ball that was included!
The cottage was the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in with nothing overlooked. It was so refreshing to see lots of crockery and cutlery instead of the just four plates, four mugs, four sets of cutlery, etc as we have frequently experienced.
The downstairs had been recently refurbished and had everything you could need and was a good size and very comfortable. The information on the cottage and the surrounding area was extensive as were the instructions for the kitchen and laundry equipment. The bedrooms were just about large enough, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom well fitted out.
There was three lovely outside seating areas which we didn’t use as the weather was a bit iffy to start with and then when it improved we found the beaches at Foxton Hall where the golf club do lovely meals and Boulmer where the pub overlooks the beach.
We had a great week in Alnmill Cottage and would not hesitate in going back

We arrived after a long journey from Portsmouth via a B&B in Mansfield, to a lovely welcome hamper not only for us but a separate one for our 12 year old labrador.
The cottage was warm and welcoming with easy to understand instructions, and lots of local recommendations for places to see, and to eat out in.
The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen better equipped than our one at home.
Altogether we had a lovely week away, except for the weather which was very cold for June, that even the owners of Alnmill could do nothing about but with the central heating we were never cold!

Location is in a lovely conservation village, but with good links to get you out and about. Nice dog walks locally, although they were all a bit muddy when we stayed in October! You could walk into Alnmouth if you were so inclined. We found the upstairs a bit cramped but as there was only two of us it was fine.

A comfortable cottage well located to visit the area, handy for the station (15 min walk). Alnmouth close by but parking at night for dining very difficult. The cottage had a nice welcome pack which since Covid has proved rare. Everything provided and more, even Netflix and Prime Video. The bedrooms are ‘cosy’ we prefer a King sized be but we coped! Well up to the high standard of Coquet Cottages.

Alnmill cottage was perfect for us. Very well situated to explore the lovely Northumberland coastline.

Spotlessly clean and there was nothing we needed that wasn't available in the cottage. Everything was in very good condition and extras including a welcome pack plus one for the dog!

Comfy beds and crisp white linen and fluffy towels made the stay more like a hotel.

Cottage exactly as described and we would certainly return. Thank you.

Alnmill Cottage is absolutely beautiful, and perfectly located to explore the stunning Northumberland coast. The beds were super-comfy and the kitchen is fantastic with everything that you would need. We particularly enjoyed the outside seating in the lovely courtyard.

We appreciated being able to walk into Alnmouth, and if you wanted to leave the car at home then there are great bus services and you’re close to Alnmouth Station on the LNER main line.

I can’t recommend it highly enough - we were sad to leave.

Two vases of fresh flowers was just the most unexpected and delightful finishing touch to the welcome at Alnmill Cottage. The welcome hamper, which contained some real regional delights such as Northumberland cheese and Durham farm butter, seemed so well considered and generous and was typical of everything about this delightful cottage. Superbly fitted out and equipped, comfortable and very clean and well cared for. Staying there was a total pleasure and we would definitely go there again.

The lovely cottage garden at the front of the property gives a great first impression than continues throughout.

Very well equipped kitchen, lovely welcoming hamper, comfortable lounge. Extremely comfortable beds - to our cost as a week at Alnmill Cottage confirmed we really did need to replace our mattress back home! Excellent shower. No issues with wi-fi which can sometimes be the case in more rural locations; plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure for the shower. Off-road parking to the rear of the property.

Fault with rear door handle identified on arrival; however swiftly dealt with by the property owner. As the property has a front door too negligible inconvenience. When the biggest "fault" you can find is that the kitchen did not seem - as far as we could see - to have a lemon zester you know you are onto a winner!

Good location for the beach at Alnmouth and Alnwick itself. Less than a ten minute drive to Sainburys / M&S Food and Turnbulls at Alnwick. Lesbury is a lovely little village although sadly the village pub and village shop have closed in recent years. Howick Hall, less than ten minutes drive, is a bit of a hidden gem.

Really pleased with our choice of Alnmill Cottage which made for a very relaxing and enjoyable week.
