Terrific 4 night stay. Quiet and secluded with comfortable beds; well equipped kitchen and lovely welcome basket. Only a short stroll to the fabulous beach; walking distance to the Lord Crewe for supper. Best spot; very private with great view of the castle esp at sunset. Sunny days and clear nights gave us spectacular views of the Milky Way! Always assured that Coquet Cottages keep their standards high; great attention to detail and friendly customer care. Car parking was excellent; one numbered, undercover space and always found a visitor space for our friend’s car.
Word of warning: security is reassuring but somewhat confounding! So take care and read instructions carefully. Pedestrian, coded gateway is very heavy with automatic lock; we couldn’t open it manually from inside the grounds with no obvious electronic release.

A minor gripe, was the patio seating which wasn’t very comfortable. A small nest of tables inside would be useful otherwise everything excellent. Well equipped and a comfortable bed.

Comfortable and centrally located. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Appreciated the quality bed mattress so lacking in many places. Kitchen well stocked but knives need sharpening badly. Instructions to enter the property could have been more logically provided but otherwise we’d book with Coquet again.

Everything about this property was perfect apart from one thing - the Wi-Fi needs serious upgrading. The TV depended on it and often lost signal, but it also couldn’t really cope with more than one device being connected. This shouldn’t really matter when being in such a beautiful spot but for people with demanding jobs and their own businesses, it was difficult to keep usual contact. An online call, for example, just wouldn’t work. Hopefully they’ll get a better line in in response.

It simply couldn’t have been better (well, maybe if the rain had stayed away !!). Perfect location for exploring The Northumberland coast and breathtaking views of Bamburgh castle. The cottage was immaculate, warm, comfortable and modern. We felt totally at home from the second we arrived. Private, secure parking was a bonus as Bamburgh is such a busy place. The outdoor space was fantastic for alfresco meals, reading and yoga. We would love to come back again.

My friend and myself enjoyed the flat very much it was al we wanted and more. Out of every window there was a lovely view whether it was flowers or the Castle it was wionderful. I have stayed there before with my hus band but it has been refurnished since then to a very high degree. I personally did not like the decor in the Dining room, it didn’t fit in with rest of the property. I would love to go back but probably can’t, I am 86yrs old and the journey puts me off, would it be possible to bring it to me? I thank the owners for letting me use their lovely property.

A spectacular location directly opposite Bamburgh Castle and the cricket pitch, and minutes away from some of the best beaches in the country. Great quality restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. A delight.
