After undergoing a complete restoration and renovation in 2020-2021, Copperfield House now presents beautifully for couples and small families. You can reach the main street of Alnwick in just a couple of minutes and Alnwick Castle on foot in just 15 minutes. Enjoy spacious rooms, a wood-burning stove, and beautiful decor. Sleeps 4-5 guests, free Wi-Fi, and 2 dogs welcome.

This was our third stay at Copperfield House and needless to say we’ve booked again for next year already. We love it! The house provides a comfortable and well furnished base from where we can explore the beautiful Northumberland Coast, while being conveniently located for town centre amenities that are found in Alnwick itself.

It may sound silly but the bathroom is a total highlight for us. The copper bath is just divine after a day of exploring. The cosy lounge is also another big tick for us. Several reviews mention parking being an issue but in the 21 nights we’ve spent in this cottage, we’ve never had an issue.

A few changes from Coquet Cottages since their national takeover which resulted in, what we felt, less caring customer service. Granted, the owner certainly makes up for it and extends a warm welcome.

We recommend this cottage.

Copperfield house is a lovely and exceptionally well equipped cottage . We very much enjoyed our stay here in lovely Alnwick. Would have given all 5 stars but for the fact that the cottage did not feel freshly cleaned. The beds and bedrooms were immaculate and very comfortable but the downstairs and bathroom were not as clean as you would expect - dusty and seemed like hadnt been hoovered. There was also mo promised welcome pack which was a shame as it does make a difference when you arrive . We let our host know and although said welcomed feedback didnt apologise.
It is a lovely cottage though , exceptionally well equipped and brilliant location.
Just the details let it down and a little lack of care toward guests .

Copperfield-house is a charming mix of old and new. It's full of luxurious touches and lovely old wooden furniture. It's a proper home from home and while the outside space is very small, it's perfect for your pet!
It's perfectly located close to the town center, and close to restaurants pubs and shops which were all very dog friendly.
We've had a lovely time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Copperfield House and hope to return in the future. It was in an excellent location, an easy walk to the town centre. The house was very comfy and spotlessly clean, we loved the log burner and the copper bath was sheer luxury. I've stayed in many holiday cottages and this was one of the best. Alnwick has plenty going on and it well worth a visit.

Great cottage in a great location, copperfield house has everything you could ever need. Very well equippped kitchen, comfy beds and amazing bathroom. Wonderful service from the owners after we had forgotten some items, they posted them on to us. So kind

This house is spacious, well looked after and very comfortable with all one needs for a relaxing stay.

The bathroom is truly stunning, the sitting room is lovely and cosy. All is of a really high standard and level of comfort akin to a high end hotel.

We'll be back.

Copperfield house was exceptionally clean and the perfect base for our family to explore Northumberland. We have 3 children and there was ample space for all of us to sleep, cook and relax here. We never had trouble finding a parking space on the street outside.

A comfortable cottage with good facilities and excellent location. A few minutes walk to the centre of Alnwick where there there is plenty to see and good restaurants. The cottage was dog friendly and it was appreciated even a little doggy pack was provided.

We had a lovely time at Copperfield house. The location is a 5 minute walk from the shops/town centre - we’d highly recommend Barter Books (which is slightly further) and Adam and Eve does a great Sunday roast!
Alnwick is a good location to get to around Northumberland.
The cottage was cosy and well thought through with good facilities, nice to have the fire and there was a lovely welcome hamper too!
Parking is on street, we were able to get a space every day within a minute or two walk, even at the weekend.

With have just returned from a wonderful break at Copperfield House. It was so well equipped a real home from home. Beds are so comfortable and the amazing copper bath was fantastic. Martin is a fabulous host and was so helpful and kind. 5 stars are not enough.
