With the benefit of a beautifully landscaped garden and patio, full of flowering shrubs, and a Swedish Kota BBQ House. This pretty little cottage in beautiful Warkworth village is aptly named. Sleeping up to 4 in 2 bedrooms, it also has the benefit of being suitable for those with reduced mobility as it's all on one level and has a 'Level 1 Mobility' grading. Up to 2 dogs are welcome (no bigger than spaniels) or 1 large dog. Free Wi-fi. Awarded 4 Stars and a prestigious GOLD award for excellence by Visit England. EV charging point.

The cottage was lovely like home from home for comfort and we'll situated for lots of places. We used the kota barbaque which was great and kitted out with everything needed. Lovely beaches and weather was great as well. Great week and would go back again.

Smashing place full of home comforts, lovely and warm, all the appliances easy to work (not something that happens in a lot of holiday cottages we stay in), fantastic location and friendly and helpful owners. And an EV charger for our car which meant a worry free stay. (Although we used our bikes to get around.)

1. Garden cottage was well equipped and comfortable with all the necessary items.
2. Lovely patio garden to sit out and watch the children playing in the garden.
3. Helpful and thoughtful owners.
4. A great welcome hamper on our arrival.
5. Warkworth is a great place to be based for beaches and castles.

Great spot for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast. Then able to spend relaxing evenings in the garden away from hustle and bustle. Good for dogs too

This was our second stay at Garden Cottage and will certainly not be the last. It is very comfortable , clean and quiet - all that we ask for. It is surround by a beautiful garden, wonderful to take in after fantastic days out in Northumbria.

Charming and very comfortable house in a very nice location in Northumberland, close to Warkworth castle and the beautiful village. We particularly liked the Kota (barbecue hut) located in the garden, especially in view of British weather!

Parked the car up at Garden Cottage, Tesco delivery and ready to start our planned stay within Walkworth.
Only time we used our car was to treat ourselves to a lovely ice cream from Morewick Dairy Farm.
We had the most wonderful week, walking along the beach, 2 different walks into Amble, riverside walks around Warkworth, exploring stretches of St Oswolds way, watching the cricket match with a cold beer, bus ride back from Alnmouth after a long walk along the beach. Finally a steak and veg barbecue in the Swedish Kota BBQ hut.
Another wonderful week stay at Garden Cottage.

Garden Cottage was a very cosy and very well appointed holiday venue. The hosts Phil and Debbie made us feel very at home, providing an amazing welcome pack and a very comprehensive information folder. The cottage was spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The Kota in the beautiful garden was an added bonus for a cosy evening barbecue. It was well situated, very close to the castle and town centre and within walking distance of the beach and Amble.

The cottage is set in the owner’s beautiful gardens and equipped with everything you need. A lovely cosy cottage, only a short walk from the centre of the friendly village of Warkworth. The village shop sells newspapers and the basics but Amble is a few mins drive along the estuary or 20 mins walk. Lovely walks are straight from the doorstep and dogs are catered for.

Lovely cottage, with everything you need. Welcome pack lovely and chocolates for us and present for the dog nice touch. Liked the decs too. Easy to walk into town and the castle but away from the traffic. Warm and cosy. Perfect for relaxing Xmas but also good for summer. Great location for exploring the area. Hosts friendly. I will return

Although the November Northumbrian weather was not so welcoming, Garden Cottage made up for it in spades. Tucked away in a private spot in the owner's garden the cottage provided everything we needed for our stay.. The central heating was very efficient and quick to respond. There was an electric fire also, but we didn't need to use it. Kitchen well equipped. A huge welcome pack - thank you! Beds very comfy. Lots of hot water and showers with great water pressure. Mini toiletries also provided for both bathrooms. Lots of local guide books and info. Owner Phil very helpful.
Location is fine. Two minute walk to the castle. Five minutes or so to the village centre. We took the car to the beach (5 minutes in the car then a walk across the dunes path to the glorious beach). Village seemed well served with pubs and eateries. Village shop limited but Morrison's in Amble literally a 5 minute drive. Couple of very nice quirky gift shops in village. Everywhere along the coast was very picturesque. We visited Alnmouth (lovely) , Amble and Seahorses. Also Alnwick which had lots of nice small shops and an amazing 2nd hand book shop (highly recommended). Warkworth itself is a beautiful village. Lots of walks from the door for the dog. Round by the castle; down and around by the river and through the village itself to look at the wonderful old houses.
We were only there for 3 days so need to return to visit lots more places. Also to use the 'Kota' in the garden which looked brilliant but we didn't really have time.
Would definitely recommend Garden Cottage

We had a restful stay in the Garden cottage is situated in a nice quiet location. The inside of the cottage was very clean and comfortable with good quality furnishings. The Kota was well used and a very nice addition to our holiday experience. On the negative side (my opinion) I don’t like the Ivy growing up on the outside of cottage.

Been to this cottage twice and enjoy the peacefulness of it. Due to weather not able to use the outside space to advantage. Plenty of storage space in bedrooms and comfy beds!
Kitchen well equipped with all you need. A lovely cosy cottage and the owner came to say hello after we got settled.

Continue to use Warkworth as our base for our annual visit to Northumberland. First stay at Garden Cottage and we’re delighted with the property and the lovely gardens. So peaceful and tucked away with an amazing Barbecue hut.
We left the car behind as locally everything was a short walk away. Will definitely be back to stay at Garden Cottage .

A very clean and comfortable cottage (if dated in style and furnishings) in an excellent location for walking into Warkworth and along the coast, as well as being a great centre for further coastal and inland visits, by car.
Comfortable beds and well equipped bathroom/shower room. We appreciated the generous towels.
A nice welcome pack and helpful owners.
Lovely garden but poor weather meant we couldn’t make use of it.
Free EV charging sealed the choice!

The cottage was very homely and it's location was excellent.The BBQ "Skola" was very good and we used it 3 times during the week. Even during a very violent storm which made it more impresive.

Whilst it felt weird to find the cottage tucked away in someone’s back garden, it was actually a quiet and private location. This has been someone’s carefully loved home, ready for a little modernising decor wise, but spotlessly clean and with everything you could need and more. Warkworth has some lovely walks and great eateries and is well placed to travel north or into Alnwick
