The perfect luxury seaside cottage! Ideally situated in a quiet yet central part of the lovely seaside village of Beadnell. Mariner's cottage is beautifully and very comfortably furnished with great attention to detail and is suitable for families, couples, and guests with limited mobility. After being wary about our last stay booked through Coquet Cottages we couldn't be more pleased. The property exceeded our expectations and was more than welcome were expecting.
Beautiful property in an excellent location, with everything on the doorstep. Highly recommend this property that was furnished and cleaned to a high standard. Fantastic welcome hamper and our doggy hamper was also well received.

The owners dropped us a text to ensure we had settled in and had everything we needed and offered to adjust the heating remotely.

Beadnell is a lovely village and we would recommend Beadnell Towers for a meal, you will need to book in advance. One word to sum up our stay was faultless.

Some of our party had mobility issues, the ground floor bedroom and adjacent wet room and WC were perfect. The living room was inviting and the sofas and armchair comfortable. All bedrooms were well appointed and beds comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The location of the cottage was great for walks from the door and only a short drive into Seahouses for any shopping needed. The village store in Beadnell is only a short walk away and there are a number of places to eat out within the village.

Mariners Cottage is well located in the heart of Beadnall within strolling distance of shop, beach, cafes and pubs!
It is definitely one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in.
The kitchen had everything!!
It was immaculately clean, the bedding was wonderful and the beds are super comfy.
I would stay again and will confidently recommend it

The cottage is really nice and generally comfortable & well-equipped except that it is advertised as sleeping 6. We were a party of 6 adults and found it very small in the kitchen. When we were all together for a meal there is not enough room - you cannot get to the fridge without 2 people moving their chairs. Also the small bedroom upstairs is very small and set up for 2 children with lots of games. The lounge had a 2-seater sofa, a 3-seater sofa and an armchair. The 3-seater was very cramped with 3 adults sitting there so the lounge is not ideal for 6 adults. My conclusion is it would be fantastic for 4 adults and 2 children but not for 6 adults.

we have been visiting the Northumbrian coast for years, and have stayed in many properties. This year, we felt more at home and definitely more relaxed. Beadnell has it all, and feels a little less fast paced than neighbouring Seahouses with the hustle and bustle. With the lovely beach with easy access right on the doorstep, a short walk and we were there, and the collection of restaurants and bars for eating out it just rounded the whole experience off for us. A special mention to the saltwater cafe which is right on the doorstep! lovely food, great atmosphere through the day and bistro at night, and take away service for breakfast. The things holidays require! we are booked again to come back, looking forward to it.

This was our second year and Marriners and didn’t disappoint. Beautiful property in an excellent locations. Very well equipped and had everything we needed and more. Some little upgrades from last year, with the finishing touches in the property making us feel very at home. Had elderly parents with us and the downstairs bedroom and accessible shower room made all the difference.
We will definitely be back.

This is such a wonderful property. Great location in the centre of Beadnell, you can walk to the pub, shop, beach.

The house is fully equipped, big kitchen, nice bathrooms and a lounge big easily big enough for the 4 of us. Outside is a little sun trap. Easy parking for 2 cars.

Bedrooms are beautiful, but master bed was too soft for us, could be ok for others.

Nice but a bit dated. Didn’t look as modern as the photos. For the money spent i was a bit disappointed but location makes up for everything.

Mariners Cottage is a great base for Beadnell (right next to all the lovely pubs/cafes) and Northumberland in general (just off the main road between Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick). The cottage is modern, a good size and very comfortable. It was incredibly well stocked with everything you can think of - in the kitchen, lots of throws for the cooler nights, books, games etc as well as two generous hampers - for humans and dogs! We definitely plan to return.

We really enjoyed our break at Mariners cottage. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very well equipped with everything you need. It is in an excellent location to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast and very close to the excellent Beadnell Towers Hotel and Craster Arms for a good selection of meals and drinks in the village of Beadnell. I would not hesitate to recommend Mariners Cottage to anyone and we will definitely return as soon as possible.

The cottage was perfectly situated with two car park spaces in a delightful enclosed gardens next to the hall. It benefits with being on the end of the row.
The kitchen was a great size to cook in and to eat in. We even sat and played board games in there in the evening.(there were games provided) The welcome hamper was brilliant and we used it all. Milk and butter in the fridge too, which was a great touch. It also had all those little additional items that you have at home and don't bring like food bag clips and salt and pepper. The coffee machine was also a lovely addition with plenty of coffee pods (not just two to get you started!)
The bathroom and bedroom downstairs were great and well proportioned. Even in March we were able to open the patio doors and enjoy the secluded walled garden.
There was a fire which we did not use as the underfloor heating was enough to keep the whole house warm.
Upstairs had two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom
There was also a welcome pack for our two dogs (bowls, blankets, towels, poo bags and collar lights for late night walks)
Everything had been thought of.
We ate out at a few of the cafes and pubs. Highly recommend The Caster Arms for the Thursday steak night and the Beadnell Towers hotel served an excellent cooked breakfast.
The cottage is a short walk to the beach which is wonderful for a walk. We walked up and down the coast on the beach and used the bus to get back (Very handy bus stop)
We loved our week here and really hope to return

As a regular renter of three bed holiday properties, Mariner's Cottage was by far the best presented and equipped. With the single exception of reading lamps too dim for reading in the downstairs bedroom, it wanted for nothing. We loved the cosy warmth, excellent wi-fi, the pretty location in Beadnell village, the coast walks close by, two pubs a stone's throw away. Our daughter arrived by train using Berwick station, conveniently just 40 minutes away, and also in Berwick we attended an excellent Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve and found the town most attractive.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your stay at Mariner's Cottage. I am thrilled to hear you found the property to be one of the best-presented properties you have stayed in. The owners of Mariner's Cottage always strive to provide the best and most comfortable stays for their guests. I will certainly pass on the feedback about the reading lamp and hopefully, a slightly stronger bulb will make this more useful for future guests. I look forward to welcoming you back to Northumberland and Coquet Cottages in the future.

What a lovely home from home cottage. Lovely and clean, plenty of space for a family of five to sit and relax after a long day exploring Northumberland.
Great location in Beadnell, great pub behind the property with lovely food and very welcoming.
Plenty of games at the cottage to entertain the kids with.
Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Very well maintained cottage in a lovely location. Cottage had everything we needed, like a home from home. Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. The location in Beadnell itself was perfect for walks to the beach, pubs and cafe/bistros. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week here and will come again.

Mariners cottage is a wonderful property in a truly wonderful part of the world. It has everything you could need in a cottage, well equipped, good layout and a secure garden space at the back, safe for you 4-legged friends.
The location simply couldn't be better. 2 fantastic pubs and a bistro within literally 60 seconds walk from the front door. The beach is a little further to walk to - a whole 5-minutes.
Loved our time in Mariners Cottage in Beadnell. We will be back - in fact we've already booked for 2024
