This cottage was just amazing, decorated to a very high standard. It’s also in a great location, round the corner from lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Thank you for the hamper on arrival and store cupboard essentials, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The cottage was spotless and even had treats for dogs. The owner sent a text ensuring that we arrived and that everything was ok. We are now looking for a long weekend for next year and would use Coquet Cottage company to help find our next perfect cottage

Overall good but property was not warm when we arrived, the welcome hamper was very poor and the outside seating area dirty and not fit for use.

Well furnished and comfortable
Great location
No problems parking

The cottage was beautiful - well furnished, very clean, kitchen with all the utensils we needed.... The location was perfect for getting around Alnwick, and parking was fine (we parked round the corner a few minutes walk.) The owner was really responsive to any questions. Only problem was the traffic which was really quite loud- especially the lorries! Nothing that can be done about it, but for those who are sensitive to noise may not be the best choice. Otherwise a wonderful stay!

Pickwick house has been renovated to a very high standard with a lovely feel in a great location to be able to walk out into Alnwick centre in just a couple of minutes.
A well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and spacious rooms make this house a great choice for a holiday stay. The only slight negative is it is on a main bus route the road can be quite noisy at times but that didn’t affect our enjoyment of the property.
Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our week at Pickwick. The standard of accommodation was superb. Sofa's are comfy, log burner toasty, kitchen had everything we needed and more. Bed was massive, very comfy and the bedding was good quality. Bathroom was amazing. When we wanted the heating turned up Martin responded immediately and it was done without any fuss at all.

We had no problem on street parking nearby.

Yes, there is some road noise, but it was worth it to be so close to Alnwick for local pubs (sunday lunch at Market Tavern = super), and shops are a 5 minute wander away.

The only recommendation I would make is that the garden furniture is ready for a scrub, we would not have been able to sit out if the sun had shone as it's rusty after the winter.

Would definitely return again...

We stayed for a week with friends, and would highly recommend this cottage, it is finished to a high standard, it’s very spacious yet cosy, the beds were very comfortable, the living room sofas were also comfortable, you could easily hunker down on a rainy day with the log burner roaring listening to music or watching tv.
The dining kitchen provided plenty of very high Quality equipment and appliances if you decided to cook at the cottage.
The copper bath is a must !
The location of the cottage is very close to all the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes in the town, no car needed.
Pickwick house you didn’t disappoint and we will return.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful break at Pickwick House. A extraordinary top quality well equipped kitchen which was great as we both love cooking. Spotlessly clean, fantastic furnishings, bathroom is amazing with lovely products to use too, bedrooms are so comfortable. The TV is a great size to watch your favourite movie with the wood burner on. The sauna was a great bonus too. Pickwick is so central for restaurants and bars but we love Northumberland for the beaches, Thanks so much Martin for a relaxing stay at Pickwick and the generous hamper,

V much appreciated the high quality of all furnishings, bathroom towels and kitchen utensils.
V comfortable.
Great location for all Alnwicks attractions.
However the property does abut the street and double yellow lines. Despite Green Batt being very residential and narrow it seems to be on the main bus route.
No allocated parking. You have to search nearby unmarked streets which is a bit of a lottery. Had to park on a single yellow one night and moved and start looking again pronto the next morning.

A lovely cottage which is very well appointed. Spacious with beautiful fittings, particularly the copper bath and sauna. Very well located for an easy stroll into town. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at Pickwick Cottage. (Family of 5). No issues with sleeping arrangements as splitting master bed meant everyone accommodated with ease.
Good location in terms of access to Alnwick attractions. Alnwick Gardens pass is a real bonus. However, road appears to be used by HGVs to avoid low bridge which means road noise is noticeable. Lack of dedicated parking meant a bit of searching required at times but this was maximum 60 meters away.
Very well equipped. Obvious that everything is quite new - couple of items could perhaps be better quality - bin, bottle opener etc. but these are minor issues.
All in all, I would recommend both Pickwick Cottage and Coquet Cottages to others and think it is good value.
