A gorgeous, period stone cottage in a tranquil location overlooking the beautiful River Coquet yet within yards of all the amenities of pretty Warkworth Village. A few minutes walk to the huge and sandy Warkworth Beach. Sleeps up to 6 plus cot and up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome. Cosy open fire provides additional ambiance. Free Wi-Fi and free digital guidebook.

We are repeat visitors to Riverstone. The reasons we keep returning include: location right by the river is fabulous (wildlife sightings this time included a seal and kingfisher right outside the kitchen), and well tucked away from traffic so lovely and quiet. Overall the house is really clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, and warm and cosy with good central heating and an optional open fire, which we've never needed to use. The owner, Rachel, is very responsive when things need fixing. The reasons we might eventually need to find somewhere else also include the location - not being able to park by the property is a challenge for us, moving shopping and luggage can be tricky, but others may not find this so much of an issue. Similarly, the house includes a very long flight of stairs, albeit with a wonderful view over the river, and we don't find the beds very comfortable. That being said, we have already booked again for next year!

We couldn't have been happier with our time here and didn't want to leave . The house is really thoughtfully and comfortably furnished with fabulous views from the windows. We loved the window seat on the landing

We had rhe most beautiful stay at Riverstone Cottage.
We are no strangers to Northumberland and this trip was a special tribute to my mum, who sadly died in March. Mum's go-to place was always Warkworth.

Riverstone is so welcoming, comfortable and beautifully appointed. We all felt so privileged to call it home for a week. The welcome baskets were very thoughtful and personal (our dog was as impressed as we were)!

Thank you for providing us with such a fabulous base for our travels around the area. It was utterly faultless - even the weather was kind!

We really enjoyed our stay which was an ideal base for exploring the area. The property has been authentically presented as a holiday home while respecting the architectural character in its beautiful setting by the river.
Everything was thoughtfully considered with attention to detail, quality and comfort. The oriel window over the river with its window seat was delightful. I would highly recommend this accommodation for 4 to 6 people.

Lovely spot, very quiet. Parking a bit awkward, neighbours have charging points and despite not having marked bays, feel the spaces outside their cottages belong to them. No instructions available for appliances, would have been helpful for oven and heating (a very cold week) or smartTV in lounge which had an odd setup; asked for help from owner, but not forthcoming. Shower temperemental. Pretty front garden but doesn't get the sun due to the trees in the churchyard.

Thank you so much for leaving a review for Riverstone following your recent stay. We're delighted that you enjoyed its quiet position on the riverside. I do apologise that you encountered trouble parking. Riverstone does come with one parking space and there is plenty of parking in the village with no parking charges, so if there isn’t much space or you have multiple cars, you can unload outside of the cottage and take your bags down to Riverstone, then park your car nearby. All appliance instructions are within your digital guidebook sent to you upon booking. We do hope that we can welcome you back to Northumberland soon.

Riverstone is a property we’ve had our eye on for a while and it didn’t disappoint. A truly lovely house with everything you need for a really comfortable stay. Perfect location, very well equipped kitchen and perfect with 2 dogs who love the beach! Bed was very comfortable and the conservatory and living room both great for relaxing after a day exploring (or when the great British summer drives you inside!). Very peaceful location by the river.

Welcome hamper, for humans and dogs, was brilliant and very much appreciated as were the flowers.

lovely house but expensive for only two people but was our choice because of its superb position but parking at rear was very tight

This house has everything one needs to have in a home away from home.It’s position makes it an ideal base for visiting the many beautiful beaches in this area - important for the dog!

Lovely property in a great location, only a few minutes walk and we where in the centre of Warkworth. Would certainly stay there again!

We loved the location immediately by the river and we appreciated the amount of space in the property. The number of people passing by who stopped to inquire about it was testament to its attractiveness. Warkworth is perfectly positioned to explore the coast to north and south, and the town itself is really nice. So many castles! We would return in an instant.

We absolutely love this property for its central location and the comfortable space it provides for our family and dog. There was a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and it is so bright and airy - it really feels like a home from home.

Riverstone is a beautiful cottage that is finished to a high standard and is in a perfect location on the river.
Even with no dedicated parking, it’s close enough to public spaces within the village.
A lovely hamper was left for us with a great range of local produce and our canine companions were also provided with a personalised box of goodies.
The cottage was like a real home from home and so comfortable that we’ve already booked for next year!
