The cottage was in a lovely quiet location but not far to drive to a number of Northumberland's little gems.
It was very clean, very well equipped and very comfortable throughout.

Everything is catered for in the property, and all very high good quality items. Parking awkward for a large vehicle and location not the best. however overall a nice stay.

The cottage is very tastefully furnished and very clean and comfortable . Despite the nearby train line, we barely heard it and found the cottage extremely quiet and peaceful. The small enclosed garden and parking area made it very safe for our dog to roam freely. The only negative for us is that the roads around it are narrow with no footpaths and it was a 40 minute walk into the village. Taxis that will carry a dog are not easy to find and as we like an evening meal and a drink it was a little too out of the way for us. That's not a criticism, just our opinion

Super stay everything was very well done lovely furnishings and what a well equipped kitchen! Suggest the downstairs loo needs the appropriate loo seat the one fitted was not the correct size. Quite right to mention the dog great with people but bit our dog even though he was on a lead and we were out walking down the lane.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your stay at The Little Red Hen House, I am thrilled to hear that you had a super stay. Thank you for passing on your comments regarding the toilet seat, I will be sure to pass this on to the owner of the property. The owner has confirmed that they have fixed the toilet seat on their visit to the property at the weekend. I am sorry to hear there was an issue with the neighbouring dog, I will mention this to the owners as well. The owner has also confirmed that they have secured the fences at the property to ensure that guests' dogs are safe during their stay. I do hope we can welcome you back to Northumberland in the future.

Lovely Break.

Very comfortable cottage. Was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Good enclosed garden but perhaps the gate could have been taller in case larger dogs try to jump out. Train line is very close but didn't disturb us. Very good holiday.

We spent a week in The Little Red Hen House and thoroughly enjoyed using it as a base to explore the surrounding area. It is styled very tastefully throughout and no expense has been spared to ensure the comfort of its guests. The ‘wow factor’ hits you as you first step through the door into the kitchen, which is very well-equipped and high tech, and continues as you progress through the property.
The small exterior of the cottage belies what you discover within and it is clear that a lot of thought and design has gone into everything. The lounge/dining area is a comfortable space for 4 adults. The master bedroom is of very generous proportions with the added benefit of a beautiful en suite shower room.
The welcome hamper and complimentary bathroom products were a nice touch and much appreciated.
Being located on a farm means you are not within strolling distance of a local pub or eatery but this wasn’t a problem for us and we found our stay to be incredibly peaceful and relaxing.

The house was lovely couldn't fault iy, but the location, next to the east coast railway line made it very noisy. Somewhat unsettling at 5am thinking a train going through the bedroom!. We have a nervous dog and she found noise distressing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your stay at The Little Red Hen House. I am thrilled that you found the house lovely and couldn't fault it. The location of this property is so well positioned for beautiful coastal walks, whilst also having plenty of country walks on its doorstep. The chocolate box village of Warkworth is just a short drive away too, with plenty of pubs, eateries and walks. I look forward to welcoming you back to Northumberland in the future.
