Had a second wonderful stay at The Oystercatcher. Beautiful, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Situated slightly inland which allowed you to experience the beach but then return home to the well kept garden to sit and relax. A taste of the coast and the country.

Faultless, everything that you could ask for and more in a rental property and close to the beaches.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location for exploring the Northumberland Coastline. Great communication prior and during the stay to ensure we had all we needed. The cottage was immaculate and had all high end finishings, the log burner made it cosy on an evening. Kitchen has everything you needed to ensure there was ample facilities for all the food we took plus the welcome hamper was a nice touch and the dog got one as well.

Great cottage which was clean and comfortable. Secure garden which our dog enjoyed along with his “welcome pack”. Lots of thoughtful touches. Would have no hesitation in recommending this to friends/family.

The property was in a nice quiet location. Very spacious inside. Coquet Cottages phoned up to make sure that everything was OK and to see if we needed any help with anything. Fantastic customer services. Beautiful cottage. Everything just a short drive away. Would recommend this cottage to anyone and to Coquet Cottages for their customer service.

Cottage was very well equipped and the ample supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses was a real bonus. Having the double oven, especially for use on Christmas Day, was invaluable.
Very warm, welcoming, cosy and comfortable. Good supply of hot water. Easy access to the coast for various beach walks.

We have just returned from a lovely long weekend at the Oystercatcher. The accommodation is both stylish and comfortable and well equipped with quality furnishings throughout.

We've recently returned from a 3 night trip to the Oystercatcher. There were six of us- four adults and two toddlers and everyone had a fantastic time. The property was really easy to find and we appreciated the instructions in the online information booklet. The surrounding area is quiet and our boys enjoying hearing the cows next door. There was also no noise from the other cottages around us.

Another thing we really loved was the attention to detail. Everything was ready for our visit, from the very thoughtful welcome basket, he baskets full of toys for the boys and the toddler plates and cups. We even came home one day to find that some goodies had been left for our kids which was lovely.

All in all we had a great stay and would love to return.

An excellent clean and well furnished cottage.
We cannot get over the equipment provided in the kitchen . Both for cooking and for eating.
(Hope the place did not smell too much of fish as that was our staple for most of the time)
The dog was truly spoilt by her welcome pack as were we too.
We were warm and cosy and if we had a gripe..tog 12 duvet when we are used to tog 2 or 3 in winter and 1 or a sheet in summer.
We always carry a top sheet with us so usually dispensed with the duvet.
Enjoyed watching a caesarian on cow at farm next door and i praise your friendly neighbours on both sides.
So thank you owners for lending us your place for a week.
We came home refreshed from your great part of the world
John

We chose this cottage due to its proximity to Bamburgh, the Holy Isle and Alnwick. The house in itself is beautifully decorated and amazingly well equipped with just about everything you could need. I also loved the flow of the lower floor.

I suppose my only tiny negative is that you need the car to go anywhere or at least the signed walking routes didn’t look very well used.

I would highly recommend the cottage and the agency, everything was great!

We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage. It was incredibly well appointed and with lovely gardens to the front and rear which was ideal for our energetic dog! Well situated for local beaches and tourist attractions like Bamburgh Castle and Cragside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oystercatcher, it was well appointed with good quality furnishings and in a nice position. Both neighbours were very friendly and helpful. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and we had plenty space for 5 adults. We did find the sofa a bit uncomfortable but it didn’t spoil our stay. We knew that the bathroom facilities weren’t ideal for our family when we booked but we managed ok, an extra bathroom upstairs would have been useful.
