A gorgeous, cosy cottage situated in the heart of the beautiful Medieval village of Warkworth, with a spectacular view of Warkworth Castle. Sleeps 2 with 2 dogs welcome (no bigger than a spaniel), open fire. Free Wi-Fi and free digital guidebook.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was well presented, very clean and had all the amenities and more! I didn't expect washing machine ir dishwasher and, though it was in info, I didn't expect such an amazing welcome pack ( and doggy one) as only a short break the local milk, bread and butter along with the other goodies really set us up for a few days basics and more!

We have used Coquet Cottages in the past and often holiday in Northumberland.
Warkworth is the perfect, central location and the view from Tower Cottage overlooking the castle was amazing.
The cottage was very clean, the welcome basket was such a lovely touch and the extra little bits for Flash the dog.
We would love to return in winter as I bet the open fire is very cosy and it was nice to be a short walk from a few pubs and local amenities.
A couple of hopefully constructive points, which did slightly let the cottage down.
The bedroom could have done with some blackout curtains/blind.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I am 7 months pregnant and ended up sleeping on the sofa most nights. I was very small and firm, I would suggest event a mattress topper might help but it is disappointing when you leave feeling so tired because you have hardly slept. The traffic noise outside didn't help help but is not something that can be prevented.
Apart from that, the cottage was perfect and we also had no issues with parking outside, which is always handy.
I would defiantly return to Tower Cottage and recommend it to others but only if the bed/mattress was changed as it was very unpleasant not getting a restful nights sleep especially being so heavily pregnant.

I am delighted to hear that you arrived to a lovely welcome hamper at Tower Cottage and that you found the property to be perfect for your stay. We appreciate your feedback regarding the bed at the property and have passed this on to the owner of the property. I do hope we can welcome you back in the future, especially during the winter - as you say it will be very cosy in the cottage with the open fire! We wish you all the best and look forward to welcoming you back as a family of 3 plus Flash the dog!

Fabulous! We had a lovely few days over Christmas. Everything we needed was provided for, including a particularly good welcome hamper! We enjoyed the open fire every day, and hunkered down on the comfy sofa with books, cheese and wine :-)
Lovely, cosy cottage, in a great location with a gorgeous beach and a great pub on our doorstep. If I had to try hard to find fault I honestly couldn't. Blissful

The cottage was very warm cosy and comfortable. We had two concerns with one being the lack of parking. We were never able to park in front of the cottage which did not make it easy for loading and unloading the car on a busy road. Having said that, you did not hear the road inside the cottage. Two we found the bed uncomfortable for us, a thin mattress even though there was a mattress topper on it.
Otherwise it was a lovely cottage for two people and a dog.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your stay. I am glad to hear you were undisturbed by road noise. We do note that there is no dedicated parking for this property on the facts and features on the website. Although it is not outside the property there is ample restriction free parking within Warkworth village. If you'd like to book with us again at Coquet Cottages, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. We'd be more than happy to assist you in finding properties with dedicated off-street parking to suit your needs.

We had a lovely time in Warkworth. The cosy cottage is ideal for two.
Everything has been thought of and the cottage lacks for nothing. We loved it. A lovely hamper was also left fir us.There are pubs and small shops within the village. We spent our time out on walks and there is also a regular bus service if required.
Coquet Cottages are great and customer service outstanding...

The cottage decor and lighting needs to be brought into the 21st century and seems a little pre-war (2nd not civil!). That apart the cottage was very clean, in a great position and with a well equipped kitchen (only missing a large pan to cook pasta).

Perfect base to explore the area. Warkworth is a beautiful place to stay with the lovely river in town and the beach a pleasant walk away. The town has excellent pubs, restaurants and gift shops and the wonderful castle. Larger food stores are only 10 minutes drive away.

The cottage is well equipped and spacious for a home away from home for two. If something was to be improved, it would be the bathroom which is a little tight for space.
