Eleven of us stayed at Cider Barn for four nights for a special birthday. It is perfect. Spacious, well equipped, impressively furnished, close to the centre, spa in the location and a hearty team that own it. We would go again for sure.
We had an amazing stay at Apple Cottage recently, the property is stunning, clearly very well looked after and clean with a beautiful interior. The secure garden was perfect for the dogs and also very private which was great for the hot tub! Paul and Zoe made the checking in process super easy with clear instructions and lots of helpful information. Would 100% recommend staying at Apple Cottage, we all had a brilliant weekend and would definitely come back! Thank you so much Paul and Zoe!
Booked for a 60th birthday weekend, great communication from the team, beautiful house set in great location! House was supplied with an array of supplies including tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil etc. bedrooms where light & airy, all en-suite, comfortable beds, and luxury finishing. There were 2 BBQ’s, hot tub and pool table, along with large TV in sitting room and stereo! A great weekend at a beautiful home!
We recently stayed at Portman house for my hen do and were so delighted. The property is vast and situated in stunning grounds. We kept remarking on how it felt like we were in Italy! There were 17 of us staying and it didn't feel crowded at any point. The beds were comfortable and the house had all the amenities we required (Apart from fans during a heatwave - much the same as a lot of people and I'm sure that will change). We booked Higher Burrow Farm to host a Hen weekend for 15 friends, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The home is enormous, with plenty of space for everyone in rooms that are fairly spacious, and several communal areas in which to relax, dine, watch tv or simply catch up on conversation. The outdoor area is especially lovely, with patio seating for all and a large umbrella to provide shade, and the rolling lawns and gardens make for the ideal place to have a picnic, sit under a tree and read a book or enjoy some lawn games. Everything about Swallows Or hard was perfect, and exactly what we had hoped for. The place was spotlessly clean and included everything we needed. Wonderful pool, gym and spa facilities just paces from the door was such a bonus. We would have liked the opportunity to spilt our 2-hour session and have an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening but that is such a minor thing. We loved every second of our stay, thank you.
Woodlands farmhouse gave us a holiday to remember. On arrival, we did have a problem with the heating and it was sorted out very quickly by a lovely lady whose name I can’t recall! Having ensuite bedrooms was such a good place for us as there were 14 people of various ages. The large kitchen diner is where we mostly congregated if we weren’t in the lovely courtyard or hot tub. Having the swimming pool so close by was such a bonus as my elder father on his scooter was able to get there pretty smoothly. We would definitely book this again if we ever needed a large group accommodation.
We chose Lower Hedge Farm as the location for our annual catch up of old friends. It's in a lovely quiet location, perfect for relaxing with some good food and drink. It was also close to a good cycle ride which helped burn off the above! The rooms were spotless with comfy beds and the hot tub and games room assisted to the fact we felt no need to wander away from it.
Such a beautiful and picturesque location has to be witnessed. There are spectacular views and walks from the site. The property is a converted farm dwelling, which has been done very well with lots of quality rooms and amenities. The garden has a large outdoor table and benches adjacent to the BBQ and hot tub, so an ideal social hub. However, there is no shade and as we were there in 35c plus weather, we did miss some shade.
