Had an absolutely amazing time, house was as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures and the location was beautiful. Couldn't be happier with our stay, didnt want to leave
We hired the complete estate for our metalbollic health retreat. All guests loved the experience and seek to return asap - wonderful supper from the whole team
Lovely property in great location for biking and hiking on the Quantocks with fabulous views and sunsets! Great amenities and everything you need for a group getaway including 3 great spaces to relax and eat - with a table big enough to accommodate everyone together. All bedrooms are en-suite, hot tub is fab and there's a games room and lots of outside space to sit and eat too.
Stayed at Apple cottage for 5 nights to meet up with friends and family after a wedding at Pennard House. A clean, comfortable cottage with a hot tub in the garden and plenty of space inside. Adequate equipment provided although more cutlery would have been ideal as we had to wash knives and forks after each meal instead of putting them in the dishwasher
Woodlands Farmhouse was a great place to get together for family travelling from Cardiff and London.
Portman House gave our family one of the most memorable five‑night breaks we’ve ever had. Nine of us and two dogs settled in instantly — the house wraps around you with comfort and grandeur. The views over the Pylle countryside are breathtaking, the lounge and bedrooms are pure luxury, and the cellar bar and hot tub made every evening feel special. We hosted a regimental‑style dinner with a fine‑dining chef and a Highland piper, and the house rose to the occasion magnificently. Perfect weather meant we spent hours outside soaking in the surroundings. We even wandered to the local church and...more
We loved every minute of it, sharing the house with all our married kids and grandkids - so much space for everyone, play areas, many many lounge areas, huge dining room, spacious hallways, a few ensuite bathrooms, fabulous strong power showers, the indoor jacuzzi - luxurious, the outdoor hot tubs - bliss! The kids also enjoyed watching Mr Robot do the lawns daily. The owners are lovely people. We never see or hear the neighbours, so it feels completely secluded and very private! The kitchen was very clean - which is very unusual for rentals and we appreciated that - sparkling clean ovens ...more
We hired the house for a hen do. The house was so beautiful! There's so much space inside and out, and everything was catered for. The woodlands retreats team couldn't have been more helpful, they made booking and organising so easy. The outdoor space at the house was perfect. We did cocktail making and line dancing in the garden, everyone enjoyed the weekend and loved lower hedge farm
Very thoughtfully kitted out holiday let. It was extremely spacious for 6-7 people. We loved the garden, hot tub and fire pit and spent a lot of time outside. The spa facilities are also excellent. Would recommend to all. Just one thing I would change are the beds. They were comfortable and had good mattresses but are low and can be tricky for the less mobile to get out of. All in all a wonderful relaxing and peaceful stay.
The house was everything you could need and more, peaceful setting and scenery along with all the essentials you could need to keep a big party occupied. Hot tub and games room was a big success. Our family age range from 4 to 60 years, just wish we stayed longer!
