The E- mail received Information pack and directions provided by the owners prior to travel were spot on and led us straight to the cottage. First impressions didn`t disappoint - lovely white detached cottage with a small enclosed private outdoor area with fabulous views over towards the Mendips. Cottage spotlessly clean and fully equipped for our stay. Beds comfortable and linen very good quality indeed. Lounge area sufficient for 4 guests with a good size TV with plenty of channels. Mobile and broadband signals were fine and we had no problems. Massive outside grassed area within the fa...more
Six of us stayed in Granary Cottage at Home Farm Cottages in March 2023. The location is ideal for walks (photocopies left out by the owners) and we found The New Inn at Cross served lovely food. The cottage itself was beautifully presented, clean and well appointed. Good to have somewhere for the dog to run and recycling at the property. Really can't fault the place and we hope to return. We had a party of 6 adults/teens plus dog for a family get together and Granary Cottage was perfect. Good road links and train/taxi from Bristol was easy. Cake left out for our arrival was a nice touch. High...more
The Bakehouse is a lovely cozy little cottage for 2 people. It was perfect for a 4 night stay in the middle of winter. We had an unlimited supply of logs (and the owners showed us where more could be found when the log shed was empty). We used the place for day trips out to the coast or over to Cheddar. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. The only issue we had was the oven as we could not get the temperature right based on the confusing knobs/timer (but that could be user error!). We would highly recommend it if your up for an escape to the countryside. The...more
Best dog friendly cottage we have stayed in. Lots of thought gone into what was needed , well equipped and lovely log burner. Overall cottage was excellent apart from settee in lounge needs replacing as feels like sitting on floor. Would definitely return.
We stayed as a couple with a small dog in September. The cottage is set within a lovely location with magnificent views down a quiet, narrow road. The cottage is thoughtfully equipped with almost everything you would need for a weeks stay and there is so much to see and do within manageable driving distance. The furthest we travelled was a 3 hour round trip to take in a magnificent waterfall in Devon. There was some sliced homemade cake left for our arrival along with a vase with some cut flowers from the garden, all a lovely touch. We would consider staying at Home Farm again.
