My husband and I enjoyed the cosy bakehouse with all the home comforts and real fire. We were greeted by Mike and his lovely 2 dogs with welcome starter of cake, tea coffee and milk. Good walking straight from the house and lots of recommendations helped guide us on things to do and to great local pubs. Covid restrictions all managed very well so felt safe. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This was our 3rd stay at Homefarm and the 2nd at the Hayloft. Mike is the perfect host but unfortunately Homefarm Cottages are too popular. It did not take long to get to Home Farm, yet it felt as though we were miles away from the noise and worries of current life. It was easy to remain safely socially distanced from other guests in other cottages. We had lovely walks through magical woods, up over Crook Peak to see for miles, and also along the flat and very easy walking Strawberry Line. We sat in our little garden having lunch, feeling that we could be somewhere in the med it was so relaxing. The only sounds were the birds and the distant cattle lowing. The evening was for relaxing even more in front the TV, reading books and...more
