The barn was just perfect! Everything we needed was there and it was so big and spacious. Ideal place for a large group and dogs. Our dogs loved their walks around all of the fields and lots of options for off lead walks where they could just run. The dog packs were such a lovely and thoughtful touch.

Sarah and James were so helpful throughout and replied to emails quickly and did everything they could to make our stay great. They were very welcoming and accommodating.

The bbq was brilliant along with the fire pit and we had lovely evenings sat outside.

The bedrooms were perfect for a large group, all big comfy beds and lots of bathrooms.

We will definitely be visiting again and recommending. Thank you so much!

A very enjoyable stay. James and Sarah were very accommodating and attentive hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen had everything you would need and there was a bbq you could use as well. Great hot tub!! Quite a lot of stairs both inside and out to the garden so this should be considered for the less mobile. Very pet friendly but also note a lot of stairs if your dog is elderly/blind like ours. Would definitely come again.

lovely place to stay Sarah and James fantastic hosts it is so peaceful even though there was 10 of us staying not far from Totnes and Daynes farm where we had a lovely breakfast the road to the property is narrow but there are a few passing bays this was our second time at this location and it was as good as the first time well done to the hosts

As a family we were 14 with ages from 20 to 80 and to celebrate the ages of the eldest two we rented this lovely barn in the middle of nowhere deep in farmland outside Totnes. It easily accommodated all 14 in seven bedrooms with lots of ensuites - although we did not have a bath in ours which was a pity. It is big and takes some getting used to in terms of where all the rooms are and how to reach them. It was very clean, in great condition and everything worked. There is a free EV charge point too.
The hosts were super and nothing was too much trouble both before we got there via email and when we arrived. The whole trip was so good for all the younger ones that they all want to come back next September and repeat it - visiting Salcombe, Brixham, Dartmouth etc.
All told a most excellent four days or so in good weather and wonderful surroundings - with three dogs too.

We booked both the barn and the farmhouse for a large family getaway to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday and my aunt's 65th.
The barn was perfectly well equipped and immaculately presented.
I personally was staying in the farmhouse while the barn was full of family members.
Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, including the large enclosed garden and surrounding fields.
The hot tub is a treat too.
Great area with Dartmouth and Salcombe within about half hours drive.
Sarah and James were an absolute delight and were super friendly and helpful if needed.
A perfect 5* break that we will definitely return to.

The barn was absolutely wonderful - clean and comfortable (our bed was super comfortable!) the hosts have thought of absolutely everything, the kitchen had every utensil you could think of, even tea/coffee/toiletries provided as well as a gorgeous hamper of treats on arrival and a basket full of doggy essentials (the dog shampoo came in handy!) the barn completely met all of our needs, so much so that we didn’t venture out at all on one of the days and spent the whole day and night at the barn enjoying the beautiful garden and hot tub. The barn also have a very good barbecue which we used 3 out of 3 nights that we stayed. We felt that our stay was good value for money and since arriving home and posting our pics on our social media we have had lots of queries from friends :) I only scored a 4 for location as a personal preference as the barn is in a stunning rural location but if you are a nervous driver, the lanes to get there are very narrow and windy and there was nothing anywhere nearby without having to drive there (eg pub, shop) but as long as you take your provisions, the place is so lovely you’d be happy to not leave there all weekend anyway! :) 100% recommend!

Fantastic barn with loads of space ,we had a late check out which was much appreciated

What a fantastic space there were 12 people and a dog and we have had the most amazing time.
We did think we might bbq but on lifting the lid there are some mouldy sausages! Might need a clean. Cushions for the outdoor furniture would be good and some massive cobwebs in the eves in the kitchen and living area!

Overall a fantastic family weekend will definitely be returning and would recommend to anybody

Beautiful peaceful place and a real treat to be in the middle of nowhere in beautiful country side.
Always fun when you meet another vehicle in the narrow lanes
The accommodation has pretty much everything you need to entertain and have a fun stay. Hot tub is well kept and maintained (a little to hot for our liking)

This a truly outstanding and beautiful place to stay, it’s tucked away in the heart of the countryside in South Devon and offers excellent and spacious accommodation of a high standard.
We have been staying there for some 18 years and can’t wait to get back.

As a big family we hired the barn for the second year in a row for our New Year celebrations, an ideal location for getting together without worrying of upsetting the neighbours. The barn is situated close to Tontnes, Paignton and Torquay so days out are easily planned. New Years day we spent on a ramble across the farm land, refreshing walk which we all enjoyed clearing the heads!
James and Sarah are brilliant nothing is too much for them and they are always on hand should you need them. The natural spring water fed into the house tastes amazing.

We will definitely be booking again !

This was my second visit to Fletchers Coombe barn.
We hired FC for my middle daughters ‘Hen Weekend’ 14 ladies aged 26 - 63 + 1 Saturday visitor. We used the games room for yoga sessions. The lounge was a perfect dance floor, (we took our own disco light) plus it accommodated al l15 of us for our ‘life drawing’ session.
The hot tub was very much enjoyed by everyone!
Our guests were all very much taken with the barn especially the decor and the extra little surprises the owners left for us!’
Thank you FC for a great weekend - we will be back!

We decided we needed a break where we could really relax and do a little bit of touring. Sarah and James were wonderful hosts helping us find some of Devon’s wonderful local produce, including unbelievable fresh seafood which we were able to cook in the well equipped kitchen.They suggested great places to visit, restaurants etc. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable; hot tub for the evening with a glass of wine. We really enjoyed our stay at the Barns. It was a treat to have 7 bedrooms and to stay in such a wonderful part of Devon with easy access to lovely beaches. Sarah and James were very hospitable hosts who did their very best to make sure we had a comfortable holiday. Connection to the WI-FI was tricky in areas distant from the router but otherwise it was fine. The hot tub was a special bonus especially after a long day in the sunshine.

We had the most wonderful weekend at Fletcher’s Combe Barns for my daughters hen do.
The barns are fantastic. Plenty of space for all of us and we made use of the excellent hot tub, fire pit and games room.
The accommodation was really well stocked with all the equipment needed for catering for a large group. Comfy beds and modern bathrooms.
James looked after us really well, he was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
We all said we would love to return.

Our trip consisted of 13 adults and two dogs. The barn was lovely. Set out on two levels with plenty of room. Bedrooms all of great size. The location is amazing. Totally peaceful and away from everyone. The walks around the barn are amazing and definitely worth exploring. Would recommend to others. One down side is the oven wasn’t fully working with needs to be repaired as cooking for a party of 13 with just one side of the oven working can be a challenge.

We had a fabulous weekend staying at Fletchers Combe. The barn was extremely comfortable and fitted our needs as a family very well. There was plenty of space for good family communal time and then also plenty of space for quiet time too.

We all loved the outside space that the barn offers, all enjoying the wonderful hot tub , games room, lake and beautiful walks.

The hosts Sarah and James were extremely welcoming with leaving thoughtful goodies for not only us but for our four legged family members too! They made us feel very welcomed and therefore able to relax.

We as a family all agreed that it was our best cottage to date and that we will return.

We had a 3 night break at the Barns and absolutely loved it. The property is enormous and extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The eco-friendly toiletries and cleaning products provided were lovely. There were 13 of us in our family group, including children of various ages and we all had loads of space. Lots of bathrooms, which is just what you need with a big group. The gardens and surrounding area is beautiful. What with the tree houses, massive hot tub, BBQs, giant fire pit, pond with little boat, plenty of outside seating etc etc, we were certainly well-catered for. Managers Sarah and James couldn’t be more friendly and helpful which we appreciated very much. We loved it all and nobody wanted to leave! Highly recommended.

My friends and I had the best time staying in this beautiful house. From the moment we arrived the owners were welcoming and friendly, they were around if we needed any help. The house is gorgeous and clean, with everything you need for a great stay. Beautiful grounds surround the house and the games room is definitely an added bonus for a rainy day. Plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will most definitely be back

Very well thought out comfortable accommodation (and a bit quirky), that suited our party of 10, including two children aged 3 and 4 perfectly, Lots of kitchen equipment which made life easy. Plenty of outside seating and eating space. Also good to have plenty of bathrooms (complete with toiletries), so no queueing in the mornings. Beds were very comfortable. Sarah was extremely helpful with all queries and went out of her way to send information to us promptly. The tree house, woods and gardens were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
Only downside is the remoteness of the location with navigation of extremely narrow roads required. However, once there the grounds and surrounding area is very beautiful.

14 of our family stayed for 1 week over Xmas. 8 adults and 6 grandchildren 6-14 years.
The accommodation was really great. Plenty of room for us all to have separate areas when needed. We all loved it. Despite the very rainy week we all enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen was so well equipped beyond our expectations.
We all would highly recommend Fletchers Combe. James and Sarah who now run the houses we’re delightful and very helpful when needed.

We were a family group of 8 adults and 4 children celebrating my birthday. We found the barn very comfortable and well equipped. The combination of double/twin bedrooms, bathrooms and en suites suited us perfectly. The beds and sofas are very comfortable.

We did have a problem with the large cooker as only 1 oven was working and we had planned a roast dinner for the Saturday evening! However, Sarah and James were very accommodating and let us use the oven in the farmhouse, as it was unoccupied that weekend.

We loved the position of the barn, with wonderful walks on our doorstep. The children enjoyed the garden, games room and having lots of space to play in.

We spent a lot of time reviewing property’s and locations for the ideal venue for a family 70th Birthday and settled on Fletchers Combe for the weekend. We were a party of 11 adults and two dogs.The property ticked all the boxes for us. A good combo of Double and twin rooms, large dining space and lounge to chill in, hot tub and space for the dogs to enjoy in and around the property.
The location and last few miles to the property is very rural down narrow lanes just wide enough for the car. This didn’t bother us in fact we enjoyed the quietness. Phone signal is very hit and miss, which again we all found fantastic as an escape for everyday life. WiFi is installed at the property.
The property is very well equipped with lots of crockery, pans, cutlery and even plastic glasses for use in the garden/hot tub etc. We did have issues with the large cooker has half of it wasn’t working which made it tricky to cook a two course dinner for all 11 of us but we mentioned this to the hosts the next day so hopefully it will be fixed for future visitors.
The hot tub was a good size and the hosts kindly turned the temperature up so it was ready for use as soon as we arrived.
The log burner in the main lounge was out of use which was disappointing as there was a good supply of logs available so would of been nice to have had it burning rather than central heating on.
The surrounding area was great for walks with the dogs, they enjoyed the weekend as much as us humans.
The hosts James and Sarah were very welcoming on our arrival and the added touch of some wine and flowers for the birthday guest was a really nice touch.

14 family members had the best time ever at Fletchers Combe Barn. My husband and I took our four children, their partners and my four grandchildren on our first all family holiday.
Fletchers Combe Barn was very well equipped and covered all bases for a large family. A real home from home with a touch of Luxury thrown in. Thoughtful touches with locally sourced food and drink surprises waited us.
Everyday the hot tub was cleaned and maintained and the manager Di was on hand every morning if we needed anything she was extremely helpful.
The kitchen was super equipped with large pots, pans, and stacks of crockery and cutlery and even baby dishes and cutlery.
As a chef I found everything to cater for my family from a large 4 oven range to a slow cooker. There was no waiting at breakfast time with the 2 kettles and 2 toasters.
Fletchers Combe Barn is beautifully secluded but central to many beautiful towns, villages and beaches. You really must try it out. My family all want to go again we had such a great time.
The babies had loads of space to run around everyone had bathrooms/ on suites and very comfy rooms.
Cleaning products, toilet rolls, Hoover if needed, BBQ, outside plastic glasses, books, games Sky t.v, radio outside wind breaks for the beach, umbrella, medical kit, apron, oven gloves and tea towels the list goes on everything supplied for your perfect holiday. The only thing I couldn’t find was a long handled sweeping brush, but I am positive if I had asked one would of appeared.

This is an outstanding property which is situated in a beautiful rural setting within easy reach of many great attractions.
Excellent and spacious accommodation which will easily cater for a family of 13 (plus a couple of dogs).
Lots of facilities including games room and hot tub, all very ably looked after by the wonderful Di.
Highly recommended. Can't wait to go again.

We stayed here over new year with a group of friends with 6 adults, 7 children and a dog. This place was perfect for us! Well equipped, enough to keep the kids entertained, a great layout and in a beautiful setting. Large table to accommodate us all was useful and 2 separate lounges meant that kids could be entertained in one lounge while the adults entertained there selves in the other. Hot tub was a bonus and great fun as we all jumped in to celebrate the new year. Di was always on hand if needed and always responded to any emails or requests promptly. Overall an excellent place and great value.

We had a very enjoyable weekend with facilities that suited everyone from 3 months to 60+. The hot tub was very popular , despite the blustery weather ,as was the games room . The kitchen was very well equipped , roast for 13 easily done and the welcome cake was very thoughtful. One of the guests managed to leave behind a tablet which Di very kindly successfully searched for and

Having stayed at Fletcher's Combe for a friend's birthday a year or so ago, I thought I'd organise a trip with my friends.
It was great as always, perfect for families with children and very dog friendly!

The house is beautiful and luxurious, perfect for dinner parties and because it has two wings, you can make noise in the kitchen/lounge without affecting half the rooms.

Shame about the weather (it rained heavily all day Saturday) but we still managed to get in the hot tub!

We're planning on visiting again.

We had a week in Fletchers Coombe Barn, with all the family there to help me to celebrate a special birthday. It was LOVELY, the barn was furnished very well so it felt like a home, there was plenty of room for everyone and the best thing was the Hot Tub!

Di looked after us all very well, providing regular visits (and service of the Hot Tub), while not intruding at all into our holiday. We had a lunch cooked for us by Camilla who is recommended on the web site which was excellent and altogether had a very good week. The barn is located close to Dartmouth and Slapton which both provided good days out and one family visited a leisure park nearby which they thought was excellent and very good value for money. But really I was happiest in and around the barn, lovely walks, a good sitting area outside (we had good weather) - what more could you want?

I was sad to leave Fletchers Coombe after a week, there were still lots of things to do!

We had a wonderful holiday in the barn. There were 14 of us and it never felt crowded! Di had provided everything we could possibly need and the cake she gave us was a really lovely touch.
The hot tub was great fun and the grounds were amazing for the children - especially the treehouse.

Decided to book the Barns for my birthday get away break with my family, our ages range from 22 to 95. We do this every January and have booked lots of different types of accommodation.
This year both myself and my family agreed that we have found the best.
The Barns were amazing, split level, with 6 bedrooms downstairs leading out to the garden and hot tub and very spacious reception rooms.
The 7th bedroom (The Rook) on the reception floor with ensuite wet room was perfect for my elderly dad who struggles with stairs.
The Barns were very clean, comfortable and very well equipped, a real home from home, and not so clinical that you couldn’t relax. Beds were very comfy with sumptuous bedding as well as the sofas in both areas. The dining table was large enough for us to eat together.
We didn’t have any trouble finding the property, we simply followed the directions on the website, which was advised by Di, the manager, who arrives everyday to service the hot tub, but doesn’t intrude at all, and left us a lovely cake to welcome us.
All in all a brilliant break in a fab location,

The barn was beautifully presented even down to a Christmas tree fully decorated. Towels even provided for our dogs! We were a party of 11 and there was plenty of space for everyone to have a soft seat, with two large TV’s in different wings to keep any large group happy. We also all managed to sit down together for Christmas lunch without any kind of problem. The kitchen was very well appointed. The manager needs a mention as she was more than accommodating with any requests and always with a smile on her face!
Bedrooms were also presented superbly with a lovely bedroom on the same level as the living space with a wet room which accommodated my disabled mum superbly! (Because of the slight change in the level from one wing to the other, she had to negotiate 3 small steps.)
Hot tub was checked every day to ensure nice and clean. Cages were available for the dogs.
A couple of very small negatives and I must stress small, was due to the lack of sound proofing and the bedrooms being below the living space (kitchen area only) noise leakage meant that we really should have let the early risers have this side of the barn!
And lastly trying to find the place is somewhat of a challenge!

This is a really wonderful large accommodation set in such a peaceful location and all the better now for having a Hot Tub in the garden. Really great layout so that a large group is not all on top of each other. It is not to far from the coast and the many great restaurants offering great food. Stayed in the Barn with our family which included our four young grand children. Had a fabulous time, the barn is ideal for young children, lots to do to keep them occupied. The Barn is very well furnished and has a very good layout with plenty of room. Location is very good for local visits, in particular, Brixham and Paignton. The hot tub was a great favourite.

Only minor issue is that the barn location is down some very narrow lanes, so as long as you are careful there is no problem, traffic was very light.

We hired the Barn for a 60th birthday celebration, with guests of varying ages. The Barn is situated in a very remote location so it was a fantastic opportunity for us to all spend some time together in lovely peaceful surroundings.

The Barn had a variety of games available, shelves of books and a couple of TVs in very comfy lounges, but because we were lucky with the weather we had no need for them as we spent the whole weekend in the garden - which is beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was an added bonus.

My son really enjoyed the treehouse (I would have loved it as a child!) and my husband "escaped" into the games room for a number of hours!

The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were sooooo comfy!

None of us wanted to leave!!

We're regulars to Fletchers Combe, coming back year on year as we always have such a great time. This year didn't disappoint, and the upgrades Di has done really do make the place even more welcoming. The hot tub was absolutely bliss!

We always leave the barn already planning our visit the following year, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay - the barn is absolutely perfect for large groups of family or friends, and both the barn itself and the surrounding areas make it great for bringing the four-legged members of the family along too.

Our family (10 + 3 dogs) all followed the directions as supplied and found the property with no problem. There was plenty of parking space and we were all delighted with the full facilities at the barn. We found the surrounding countryside to be beautiful with an abundance of wildlife - the children and dogs especially enjoyed this area. A very memorable break for us all, only issue for some (e.g. teenagers) maybe a lack of a mobile phone signal, but the provided wifi kept everyone connected that wanted to be.

FIVE STAR!!! We were celebrating a 50th Family Birthday and this place was excellent, spacious, clean and all bedrooms adorable. It far exceeded our expectations and the kids loved the play room with the pool table, table tennis, dart board and table football!! We went on a few rambles, only short ones but we all loved being able to walk out of the barn and stumble around! The size of the property was bigger than expected and we had a recommended chef cook for us on the Saturday night and it was amazing. We all had a relaxing evening and our food was superb and the kids could go off and play in the second TV room whilst the adults then relaxed in front of the beautiful log burner in the other sitting room. We will definitely be returning. Di, who is the owner could not do enough for us either, she was patient with all our questions and extremely helpful in putting us in contact with the chef and also helping us arrange a lovely Sunday Dinner at a local pub. The drive up the approach lane is quite scary but don't be put off! You soon get used to it and it is 100% worth it.
The Barns are the perfect place for a large group of people : warm, welcoming, bright, clean, spacious, well equipped, with super social spaces and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to spread out in. The terrace is perfect for sunny evenings. And your dogs are welcome too!
We had Sarah Pope to cook us a meal on the Saturday night. She and her assistant Alice did a super job and it was delicious.
If you are looking for excellent quality in rural tranquillity, you will love Fletchers.

We are very experienced self caterers having enjoyed many different locations with different size of parties. Fletchers Combe was wonderful, the pictures on the website simply do not do it justice, the space and facilities were generous. I would recommend a Tesco or similar food delivery service.
The games room was another great space to use when the weather was bit rainy.
Be warned that the Devon lanes are tight with not that many passing places on the final stretch to the barn, we loved it but not all our party were confident driving.
The outside seating area was lovely with a fire pit that kept the boys busy. There were a lot of interesting pieces of art work in the barn and some great objet d'arts around which I enjoyed. Loads of magazines, books DVD's and games.
We were in the upstairs main bedroom that was very comfortable, our son struggled a bit with the bed in Fox, he's over 6' tall.
The beauty of Devon is that there is so much to do all within a short distance.
It was perfect for my retirement party surrounded by my family. Very child friendly with stairgates, highchairs and travel cots. We had 2 dogs with us who also enjoyed the place.

The road to the barn was challenging for a 4x4 - verges are very high and often bounded by stone walls making it impossible to move out of the way when faced with oncoming traffic. However, do not let this deter you! There are plenty of passing places and field entries to use so if you are of a nervous disposition when driving, please don't rule out this property on those grounds.
The location is perfect. Less than 2 miles from the closest village which had a small mini-market selling papers and general provisions as well as very reasonably priced fuel. It was a quick drive to main arterial routes to travel east or west and enabled us to travel to Tintagel, The Eden Project, Coleton Fishacre and Brixham with ease.
The Barn itself is well equipped - you won't need toiletries as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided as well as soap in all bathrooms. We played chess, football, badminton, cards, pool, darts and table tennis - you won't be short of something to do even if you don't want to travel around much (though why wouldn't you?).
We saw the manager, Di on our first day and she couldn't be more friendly - receiving my on-line shop earlier in the day and putting it all away for me. We didn't have need to speak with her again, but saw her daily, zipping around in her Jeep with dogs in tow!
We travelled with my 83 year old mother, 2 grown up daughters and associated partners. There are a lot of stairs in the property and my mother isn't too good with them, but all have sturdy banisters and she didn't have a problem. There are only 2 showers in the property - the rest are showers over baths, so be aware if some of your party can't lift their legs over the side of a bath.
The layout is ideal for groups as 2 separate lounge areas fully equipped with TV etc means not everyone has to sit together or watch the same thing on Telly - ideal for people wanting their own space.
We tried to think of things we would change about the place, but genuinely couldn't think of anything much, other than my mum would have like a clock in her bedroom and some of the temperatures on the oven were difficult to make out, but really we couldn't fault the place.
Love, love, loved it. Will definitely be back next year!

We stayed in the Fletchers Combe Barn for a weekend in April - it was perfect for our family group of 12 plus baby and two dogs. The house was great, as were the ground - lots to explore - and lots of nooks and crannies for hide and seek. Di was there when we arrived and we brilliant accommodating our early arrival and late departure. Will definitely come again. Plenty of space to allow people to do different things - even when the outside is out-of bounds because of the rain.

We didn't find the skittle alley, but the table tennis and pool were a big hit with some of the younger (and not so young) members of our party.

Well, this was the third time I'd rented the Barns to run a workshop. It's a perfect place, and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. Di has brought her own touch to the already-beautiful buildings, and best of all she's committed to sustainability, which matters to me (eco products, for instance).

My partner's family have stayed a couple of times in the Farmhouse, and love that.

We absolutely loved our stay at fletchers, rooms were clean and well presented and living room and kitchen were well equipt!
We all enjoyed the beautiful walks and scenery around the area (even in the rain!) The dogs also had a fab time and enjoyed all the space to run about. Highly recommend and will be returning! Thanks to Di for making our stay enjoyable!

We had a wonderful week here with 2 other families. The kitchen is very well stocked and can accommodate a big group. Lots to see and do nearby and a wonderful local pub called The Church House Inn within walking distance. What more can you ask for?

We were a group of thirteen (six adults & 7 children) staying in late October. The property certainly has a wow factor on arrival and we all quickly settled into the place. The layout of the property was very good and we all had plenty of space (an adult space and a children space). Must mention that the carrot cake that was provided on arrival was delicious.

Not really knowing the area, it took us a little while to find the property, but that was our fault for not printing out the instructions. The property was also quite isolated, but there was plenty of information to hand about walks/bike rides in the local area, and local towns are close to drive to.

No real complaints, but we never really fathomed out how the central heating worked (random radiators were hot, others cold, but this changed numerous time while we were there). This wasn't a problem and there was a log fire if extra heat was required.

The bikes that are available for use required some basic maintenance before we could go out for a ride on them (and one was beyond basic maintenance), but it was a nice touch to have them there.

Overall, we were all happy with the accommodation and even though it was quite expensive, it's not your normal accommodation.

The owner was very friendly and we spoke about our issues with the bikes, and she was very understanding and recognised that this was an issue that they would need to resolve.

We are a party of 14 who have stayed at Fletchers at the end of the summer for the last 8 years or so, (with the odd extra visit by members of our group in between), we love our home from home in Devon, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, well arranged comfy seating areas, dining seating for all, lovely warm, good quality bed linen, plentiful hot water, heating etc., the only complaint we have is that a couple of the mattress' need replacing.
The beaches are a fair distance away (around 25-35 mins) but are well worth the drive - Blackpool Sands, Bigbury on Sea and Thurlestone amongst others are lovely. Fish and chips in Dartmouth always round off our stay.
The rural location is a plus, our families can make as much noise as they like - the cows dont mind! The games barn is always well used with darts, pool, table tennis and bowling competitions all weekend.
We would reccomend it to anyone - quietly - as we would hate it to become too popular - as we always want to return!

we are a family of 8 adults - my wife and I and our 3 daughters and their husbands and 6 children plus 3 dogs and were looking forward to a 3 night stay at Fletchers Combe Barn, a little unsure as to how all of us in one location would cope with one another, etc. We need not of worried as the layout was perfect for all and was done in such a way that each sub family had its own space as required with ample room to get together for long evenings of dining and drinking once the kids were in bed. We were able to travel out each of the days to local beaches within circa 20 / 30mins travel time - quite an experience through the narrow country lanes but nothing to worry about if you take it slowly. Throughout our stay we were well looked after by Di during her early morning and late afternoon visits and she was also able to offer up advice as to where we could spend the days on our journeys out.
So overall thanks for a pleasant and memorable weekend !

The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for all. Unfortunately the weather was against us with rain all day on the Sunday, but the a gradual improvement towards the end of the week with Thursday being hot & sunny. It was the birthday of one of our party on that day & we sat out on the comfortable seating in the evening taking in the sun.
The customer service from Di was EXCELLENT, she could'nt do enough for us.

The whole family enjoyed the stay at Fletcher's Combe despite the awful weather. The size helped as we were never on top of each other as did the garden and games room. The only drawback is the width of Devon's roads which became a bit wearing by the end of the week. We may have done more walking if the weather had allowed it. A tip for anyone going is to follow the directions given not a satnav!! Tesco's were quite happy to deliver.
