We have an ideal stay, the attention detail in the scrumpy shepherd was amazing. We had a wonderful welcome. The weather was brilliant although a little bit warm for moving around but with the orchard to sit out in the evenings this added to the holiday. Plenty to see in the surrounding area. Certainly worth a visit.
House is very nice and done to a high standard. Location is great for nearby Aldburgh and also exploring Woodbridge, Southwold etc. Would stay again.
A comfortable and cosy cottage in lovely surroundings. Walks straight from the doorstep and in a great location for exploring South Suffolk.
Really lovely would highly recommend and perfect stay everything was superb ideal for our anniversary
We loved using Flint Cottage as our base to explore the delights of the Suffolk coast and countryside. The village of Wenhaston is delightful and dog friendly with 2 excellent pubs close by and great walks on the doorstep. The Cottage is warm and cozy, whatever the weather, with a lovely garden for eating meals outdoors while listening to the birdsong. The kitchen is very well equipped, including a recipe book written by the owner to inspire you. We all loved it!
The Buttery was perfect for the short, away-from-it-all break I was looking for... and the views over fields and woods were wonderful. The cottage (one of three rental properties) is a great mix of clean modern design and rustic charm, and while it's set on a working farm, it's very quiet. I enjoyed my morning chats - tea in hand - with the cows in the paddock around the corner!
We booked the old foundry for a couple of reasons 1) not far from Ipswich 2)Ideal for our grandson as all on one level throughout . Upon arrival the layout did not disappoint, as described in the brochure and on line. The property is well appointed and there is plenty of space for a family of four plus one grandson. The ample enclosed garden is very restful with sun visiting the balcony and garden throughout the day.Access to the property is easy ,especially with the aid of sat nav. Quite an easy journey to/from Ipswich . The whole family enjoyed staying at the old foundry, could not fault any...more
We stayed for a couple of days this November. We wanted a place to unwind and relax and we weren’t disappointed - the studio is simply perfect - quiet, finished to a very high quality and has everything you need. The welcome pack gave us everything we needed and the local pub was great and very welcoming. Thanks!
We found Myrtle Cottage extremely clean and tidy.Everything we needed was at hand and the location was perfect for us. The local pub is a short walk and they serve great food and are dog friendly which is just what we wanted. Although we always eat out except for breakfast, there seemed to be loads of utensils for cooking and eating at the cottage. We would definitely recommend Myrtle Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful holiday. The outside space is every bit as impressive as indoors with plenty of seating and a gas barbeque.
Excellent treasure, so beautifully finished. All the comforts needed away from home. Highly recommended!!!! Ceilings are very low for tall people but everything else was so beautiful, it didn't matter!!!!
We stayed for a week at Thatchers Cottage and it was amazing. The cottage is well appointed and beautifully looked after by its owner in a lovely village.
We normally spend July in the Algarve, but this year opted to stay in the UK and set our sights on Suffolk. We wanted wilderness and we got it at The Wilderness plus a few extras like tennis, a chef and a large screen TV absolutely essential for the World Cup. Not sure if our dog enjoyed it more than we did, but it definitely provided the tranquility, space and landscape we were looking for. The on-site team were welcoming and responsive and should be commended for providing a top notch service in an incredible setting.
River View was a lovely apartment beautifully positioned in extensive grounds with lovely views over the River Alde with its beautiful sunsets. The property was excellent throughout and although out of town, still within very easy reach of Aldeburgh town centre. I can recommend, without reservation, River View apartment, and Suffolk Hideaways.
Really lovely place with incredible wake up views and ideal location. Within walking distance to the beach and to Southwold without being in the busy centre. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon!
A lovely home away from home. A real treat to be able to take all 5 children for a day at the seaside without having to drive home the same evening. Just at the upper limit of affordability for us. Well stocked home with everything you need for cooking, relaxing, playing games and enjoying each other’s company. Two of our family enjoyed being able to take a quick dip in the November sea and come straight back to nice hot showers!
Lots of goodies on arrival, wine, speciality bread, milk and other things, made us feel welcome. We loved the views, and with a dog there was a popular walk with car park, just minutes from the entrance. I would visit again, but only for a short break.
This was a fantastic rental property for a large family celebration. It was comfortable and beautifully presented. We loved the outside shelter. Perfect location for the beach and amenities. We would highly recommend staying here!
My sister, her husband and I spent a most enjoyable week here. It was like a second home rather than a holiday let. The property could not be faulted. We found the lighting in the living room could have been brighter for reading and games. Every thing else was just right. Well done!
The house needs an end of season deep clean. The bed was incredibly hard & caused backache. Some cushions needed on the sofas as they are so deep that you need to be 6' tall to sit comfortably. No WiFi during our stay unfortunately. Overall, though an enjoyable stay.
The two watch House were lovely and cosy and very comfy beds, good showers and well stocked kitchen. Although my mother did miss not having a microwave for her morning porridge but we managed. Could have done with a hoover of such as found we walked in sand from the beach and the dust pan and brush made hard work of cleaning. Overall we enjoyed our stay, 20min walk into Southwold which is a nice town and location central for going out sight seeing. Thank you for allowing my mothers dogs to join us.
We loved this beautiful barn it’s very spacious with vaulted ceilings two bedrooms up spiral stairs either end of the barn. The bed is very comfortable. Downstairs either end are two shower rooms with the second one being new and we had amazing lovely hot showers beautifully decorated. The barn had everything you could wish for super comfy sofas with large tv, log burner, plenty of music to play on the CD player, games and a beautiful library area with so many bookshelves and books and a lovely comfy chair. Kitchen area has plenty of utensils a washing machine, fridge only thing that would im...more
We loved our stay at the lodge. It had everything we needed for a safe and comfy stay for three nights with our 1 and 5 year old. Particularly baby friendly as all on one floor and lovely to be in the country. Fantastic service from Suffolk getaways too! Many thanks!
wonderful location however 1) would have expected change of bedding with a two week stay. 2)a basic welcome pack would have been appreciated I.e. milk, bread, coffee. 3)shower was pretty pathetic. For the money would have expected a power shower. In spite of this a thoroughly enjoyable stay and highly recommended.
the kitchen was very draughty as there was a gap in the door. the 3 of us that stayed prefer a bath rather than showers but that is just our preference
We loved our stay here, gloriously peaceful, lovely views and enjoyed visiting Buzzards in the field in front of the barn. Lots of lovely walks in the area and oodles of dog friendly pubs for lunches. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Snow Hall Barn.
Lovely stay with a group of friends , a few more glasses would of been useful, beds were nice and comfy
Beautiful views and an interesting conversion of old farm buildings. The play room with table tennis was great especially for children but the advertised snooker was very poor and no useful cues. We were lucky to have no one staying in the adjoining properties as this liberated more play space. The greatest surprise was having an open plan lavatory and bath in the master bed room. This would have been so easily walled off during the conversion rather than just a wooden shelf as partial barrier. This also meant there was no wardrobe or cupboard for clothes in that bedroom. The lounge, kitchen a...more
its a lovely village and surrounding areas but the main room needs some double glazing as the road is close and noisy compact cottage with all you need otherwise
