We had a very enjoyable stay at Hayloft, in a semi-rural setting but with very easy and rapid access to Inverness and surrounds. The accommodation is attached to the main house but completely separate and with private access, allowing the host to be attentive if needed, but unobtrusive. It is tastefully decorated and beautifully appointed, containing everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped for self-catering. Spotlessly clean, quiet, with a lovely outlook over the private garden and the hills beyond. Thoroughly recommended!
A great house in an ideal location. Close to the centre of town, near enough to the main road and a good start for a lovely walk to the beach or Golf Course. Fantastic base for a visit to this lovely area.
Absolutely lovely cottage with everything you could need for a great stay. Standard of comfort and quality is fantastic, with lots of very thoughtful touches. From hand wash, to kitchen stocked with tea, fresh coffee, milk in the fridge, salt and pepper, olive oil, logs and fire lighters for the fantastic wood burner. We had a great short stay, and wished it was longer.
Everything ran smoothly from the booking process until the end of our stay when we returned the keys. It's a lovely apartment in a quiet location.
Heath Cottage is clean, warm, comfortable and dog friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are really comfy and made up with high quality pillows, duvets and linen. The garden is safe and secure for dogs and gives direct access to the forest beyond with miles of walks. The Boat of Garten is convenient for exploring the Cairngorm area but also has 2 great local shops and the local hotel is dog friendly and has good food. We didn't realise that Heath Cottage is semi-detached but we had no-one staying in either neighbouring houses and so it was very quiet. We look forward to retur...more
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Harbour View. The view from the lounge window is stunning and the ever changing light on the sky and water was just beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Cromarty is a really lovely place and the locals are friendly and welcoming. There’s a lot to see and do from walking along the beach and headlands to wandering around the town and its shops. Don’t miss the Cheese Shop and Ingrid’s House!
Very comfortable house. Everything you need available. Beds comfy. Good selection of back up items in kitchen, spices, pepper etc. Washing up liquid and toilet paper all provided.
This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
We had a lovely stay at Oran Mor. The accommodation is excellent and the views are amazing. A wonderful location.
Banff may be a little sleepy place somewhat off the beaten track, but if you make this your base for a Scotland trip, we doubt that you can find a better place to stay than at the Granary. Apartment 8 was spacious and well equipped with pretty much everything you needed at any occasion - oddly squeezed in between the cemetery, the police station and the constantly changing seashore. Please go a little lighter on all the artificial scent sticks placed everywhere - those are terrible if you're allergic to chemical scents. But otherwise only good things to be said.
We have stayed here many times and always thoroughly enjoy our visits. We are always given a very warm welcome by the hosts and are provided with all essentials on arrival. We enjoy the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. The surrounding area is beautiful with easy access to beaches, walks and Inverness city centre.
We had a brilliant week at Raasay. Helped by fab weather, we loved the house and location. We'll be back!
No 58 is an ideal place to stay, its clean, comfortable and warm. It is in a very quiet location and yet is also handy for town and all the places to visit around Inverness. Very well equipped with all you need when travelling.
We have recently returned home after our second stay at Ardshellach. The location, overlooking Loch Etive, is fabulous. Ardshellach is in a quiet spot but only 2 miles from a local shop and about 8 from bustling Oban. The garden is large, level and very well maintained. The house is a comfortable, spacious and homely family home, with all necessary mod cons. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Drumbuie Lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. I took along a few extra household items that I knew I would need over the holidays but there was really no need, the kitchen has all the appliances you could possibly need, the dishwasher and washer dryer were very handy. I’ve got to say that this is the best we have ever slept while on holiday, my husband usually doesn’t sleep well when not at home but the beds where very comfortable. The log burner was great, heating the whole lodge if you kept the room doors open (logs are easily purchased in Beauly from the hardware shop, the...more
With a peaceful location and wonderful views, this beautifully-appointed flat provides everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It's extremely well-furnished and well-equipped, cosy and warm (essential for our late-October stay), and on the doorstep of some marvellous mountain and coastal walking and touring areas: Gairloch is close-by, and Inverewe, Loch Maree and Applecross only a short drive away. Zenka is a gem, one of those "we shall definitely go back soon" places!!
Woodlands' caravan is situated in a peaceful location which was ideal for us and our dog. Norma and Brian are excellent hosts, we arrived to find a very generous welcome pack we have never received before when hiring a caravan. The outside space including the closed decking was great for keeping the dog from straying too far. They have thought of everything that you could possibly need. No need to worry if your forget any 'essentials' when you arrive, it's all provided. The caravan was spotlessly clean, everything we wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to all.
A spacious, well equipped and comfortable appartment in which we felt like home. The apartment has been tastefully renovated and equipped with high-quality furniture and an excellent kitchen. Communication with the landlord (Claire) was easy and well organized. The communication with the landlady (Claire) was easy and well organized. The city center is within walking distance and Inverness is an excellent base for various trips to the Highlands to Loch Ness etc. Among the numerous holiday homes which we rented over the years, Breavellie in Inverness is certainly among the top 10 and I can onl...more
This is the fifth year we have stayed at Maple Cottage Apartment. It has everything you could possibly need or want. Wonderful views in a peaceful environment yet close to both Dingwall and Inverness.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
We had a wonderful time at Broc Log Cabin. It's a very peaceful and beautiful place. Perfect to scape from a busy life. I strongly recommend this place.
We had a great stay in Aviemore. The property was comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had great views. Nice quiet location makes it ideal for families.
Everything about our stay at Harbour View was first class, from the Gael Holiday homes website and booking system - to the house itself. Gael Holiday Homes are a good company to book with, the information they give is clear and easy to understand. All their correspondence was friendly and professional. The house itself was wonderful, what a find! It is a real home away from home. Full of lovely little touches and details that really make you relax and enjoy yourself. We arrived to cake, shortbread, bread and milk! And a lovely welcoming call from the owner that night to check all was ok. Th...more
This is a great apartment. It is spotlessly clean & very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped ( as is the rest of the apartment ) & there is a good sized shower room /toilet upstairs plus additional toilet facilities down stairs. The bedroom is a a decent size with a very comfortable bed & good storage space. Ideally situated, just five minutes walk from the city centre . As it is extremely close to Tesco's we thought it would be noisy but it was a very quite location, especially at night. The parking permit was a bonus too as we were able to park the car outside of the property & could keep an ...more
Three of us travelled up to Dornoch for a week of golf. We were greeted with an immaculately clean house with clean bedding and towels. Use of the washing machine, dishwasher and sky television were fantastic and much appreciated. We will be looking to book here again
Good location in Inverness to visit the area and to take some rest before going to more out of the beaten tracks areas. We enjoyed the comfort of the aparment and it’s equipment.
This was my second visit to the cottage in just over a year. I was anticipating having family with me but due to circumstances beyond our control I came alone, but that was fine. Beautiful place to be, very welcoming and cosy with everything you could possibly need. The one change I would suggest is to have a small freezer installed, if you're not aware of one being there you may end up with wasted shopping if you bought en route.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
Very well equipped and thoughtfully put together holiday home. Extremely comfortable throughout lots of nice little touches like fresh flowers, coffee pod machine, scented candles and nice Scottish toiletries - great kitchen facilities which meant you could cook properly if you wanted to. Wood burner great to relax by and beds wonderfully comfortable. Met our hosts at the house - couldn’t have been nicer and also ate very well at their restaurant in Dornoch - Luigis highly recommend this property and the hosts - make sure you book a table as they are a very popular choice in the town. I spent a couple of days in Inverness for the film festival & the apartment was just perfect for everything I needed, would definitely stay here again.
VERY NICE LOG CABIN PERFECT FOR US WITH OUR 3 BORDER COLLIES, SANDY BEACHES JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY DOGS HAD A GREAT TIME
Our second visit to this cottage, love the location. Very nice for a short, relaxing break. Nice Hotel next door for food and more very good places to eat around and about. Lovely log fire which we enjoyed immensely. Would go back again.
A lovely comfortable house within walking distance of The Bridge Inn and The Woodshed at the Coylumbridge Hotel ( lovely wee-walk through the back gate into the woods where there are red squirrels a plenty -much to the fascination of our dog !). We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub , sauna and the log burner ( logs purchased from home shop next to Aldi in Aviemore ).As other guests have mentioned extra towels would be beneficial for the hot tub but we brought our own so all good . When we arrived the sauna wasn’t working but after a phone call an electrician arrived within an hour and repaired i...more
The cottage is nice and cosy. Perfect location just outside Inverness and easy to reach. Wifi is very lacking, so if yo are dependent on it like I was, then, this may not be the best place for you. Even though on holiday sometimes cottage owners need to understand that some people need to remain connected, even for the few minutes a day. Otherwise, the location, cottage, countryside, views, walks, drives, etc. are just great.
Top notch in every department. Tastefully decorated, well appointed, cozy , and thoughtful touches included.
This bungalow/cottage fitted our needs perfectly. Spacious and also suitable flooring for our dog. The garage was also ideal for storage of our bikes and bike rack and there was a hose supplied for cleaning them. Two small downs. The place though generally clean required dusting (dust/hairs on top of storage heaters) and the TV requires a better aerial or satellite dish with freesat. The internet was great though and fast. There was a wood burning stove (plenty of wood supplied) which we didn't need to use as it was warm enough with just the storage heating. This was early November and ...more
This property was in a excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. It was a well equipped property and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
well equipped but seating not comfortable and bed very uncomfortable. Electricity by meter proved to be very expensive. Compared to other places I have stayed not best value for money.
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
We used the property as a base for a cross Scotland race. We didn't spend much time there aside from 2 nights but what time we did spend what was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
We stayed at 7 Grampian Road when we competed in the Glenmore 24 trail race - and it was absolutely the most perfect base for us. The kitchen was well equipped and a joy to cook in. The beds were soooo comfy and just the ticket for tired runners after the race. The sitting room was perfect for relaxing in, eating and chatting. And the flat was brilliantly located for stocking up on supplies and for grabbing a bite. Plenty of parking too so not too far to walk on sore feet!! Loved it and can’t recommend the flat highly enough. Hope to return with my family for a more chilled out weekend soon. T...more
The apartment is perfectly located in the center of Dornoch, appears to have been recently renovated, and is well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, etc. Customer service was great. I would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This apartment is located a short walk from many restaurants, shops and the river. It is very very homey and comfortable. We stayed three nights and would have been happy to have stayed longer.
Perfect location between Dornoch Square and the golf course . There is a lovely sunny aspect over the immaculate south facing front garden with views over the town. The cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished to suit its character and age. Really comfortable beds.
Well equipped , superclean apartment near main area of Inverness. Walking distance to everything. Excellent communication . Easy checkin.
We found the apartment very convenient for the town centre and for the ring-road taking one further afield. There is a walled area around the building with allocated parking space; a quiet location which is easy to find. Scott was particularly helpful and thoughtful.
Lovely cottage very comfortable, getting milk bread, cake and shortbread was a lovely touch ,excellent location for hotel shop, and bus service, a great place to relax and unwind ,will certainly be back.
The accommodation is new and in excellent condition. There is a small closed off garden for the dog. It’s a great cottage to use as a base for things to do in the area. It needs towel rails in the bathrooms, but we cannot fault it in any other way.
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Our stay in Schotland (Highlands) was very pleasant. At the Balorrin house we had magnificent conditions to make everything great when we stayed there in the evening. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and 7 beds we had a lot of space. The livingroom was very specious and had every comfort. The kitchen was very good utilitated so knocking was like a feast. If we go once more to the Highlands we will definitely book the Balorrin house again.
Location is brilliant, off street parking, the apartment was a perfect size for 4 people. We are going to book again for the summer
We had a lovely stay here at Castle Heather .The apartment was very modern and comfortable and well equipped and parking right in front of the door . The only thing I would say was, that we could have had some heating in the evening as because the timers were remote controlled , we were un able to put the heating on in the evening . Apart from that we enjoyed our stay .
Beautiful place. Lovely scenery. Very tidy.. only problem is the downstairs room has no heating. However its only advertised as a 3 bed so thats probably why. Great balcony.
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
Apartment clean and tidy and this is second time we have stayed in it. Only issues would be tap in kitchen drips when you turn it on. En-suite shower appears to be blocked as was filling up. Would def use it again . New heating system since last stay and were a bit unsure of how to increase temperature
We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. The place is warm and is situated in a surprisingly quiet street not too far from the A9 and easy to find. Each day we were able to get a parking spot in the street either right outside or quite near the apartment. It is well located and so is just a short walk from shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc on both sides of the River Ness. It had all the faciities we needed (e.g. laundry, cooker, etc) and was very comfortable. The price was very reasonabe too. Heating: the centr...more
What a find - super cottage so well appointed. We had a fantastic week - 5 stars.Grandsons had a ball - as did grandparents.
We stayed in apartment 208, the location was great and the apartment was everything we needed! We were able to walk around the city while our rental car was in a secure garage. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance so it was nice not having to drive every time we wanted something to eat. The apartment was very clean and had a nice kitchen with everything you would need to cook. The view from the balcony was pretty, especially at night when the castle and streets were lit up. The location of the parking garage was a tad confusing since it is located in an unmarked al...more
So welcoming, light and clean property. Great location very close to the beach. Fully equipped and excellent service.
Excellent stay, business stay very close to the hospital. Very clean nice apartment. Drains slightly smelly when first walked in but after couple of days was ok.
A spacious suite that was well equipped. The location was very good for walking to the downtown and river walk.
This would have been a 5 star review if it had not been for the bed in the master bedroom! It was really, really, uncomfortable as the wooden base creaks and crunches when you move an inch. The noise kept waking us up and we had very bad sleeps for the 3 nights we were there. I looked back on previous reviews and noticed that this had been mentioned previously and these comments have obviously been ignored. Why ask for feedback if you don’t do anything about it? Get a new base for the bed and you will have some very happy clients.
Comforttable flat with a wonderful view to the sea. Perfekt equippt kitchen and a quite neigherhood.
The apartment is modern and contemporary. It is nicely decorated with good furniture. The are nice views of the castle. There are shops, bars and restaurants in the near location. It is bright and clean with good equipment. It has excellent parking underground. A very nice place to stay. It has the feel of luxury. However, the noise from the bars and clubs below and adjacent to the building in the early hours last until 3am on Saturday and Sunday morning. The beat of the music tends to reverberate throughout the building. The matress on the bed was poor and thin. It was uncomforta...more
Great location close to the amenities. Apartment was in good condition as well. Arrival instructions were clear and there was no confusion.
Hello, The frying pan was too small and worn out. We had to buy one. The tableware was not very clean and placemats were dirty. All other was nice All other things
For the 2nd year we stopped at Sunnybank and it didn't fail to deliver, in a good location to the town and golf course and surrounding golf courses. It was in a very clean and tidy condition when we arrived and with ample parking made it ideal. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends ample pace and nice garden, all being well we will return next year. regards Andy Laird
We had a great holiday, the position is great for walking and cycling from the door. Generally the house was great but a few things could really make it much better. The heating needs fixed as doesn't work properly, keeps cutting out, someone did come quickly the first night when we phoned but my husband then had to restart it every day. Lack of towels, especially hand towels, one for each room, potentially 6 people in the house. Dinner plates don't fit in the dishwasher, just adequate crockery and cutlery. Linen could do with an update, soiled pillows. Might be good to ask if the hot tu...more
Very nicely presented apartment in a central location close to everything you might need. Lots of little shops and eateries close by. Only negative is the millions of emails and phonecalls I received from 'gael holiday homes' regarding every aspect of our booking - I think I got a total of 7 emails and 4 phonecalls regarding very aspects of the booking process. Could this not have been sorted in 1 or 2 emails?
Great place to stay if you like being close to the beaches. We were 2 adults, a 14 year old and 1 dog and found Beach View very comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious for our needs. Kitchen nicely equipped although no tumble dryer. Lovely views of the Moray Firth and links, which was being transformed by the arrival of the shows/funfair, so lots of interest to see out the window. Weather was not as good as usual, but it would be easy to not take the car anywhere on a sunny week as the beaches provide all you need for a great holiday. Nice garden and a shed with lots of beach 'toys. We've s...more
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cottage was well equipped and comfy. It would have been nice to have the option to turn the heating up a bit it got quite chilly on a couple of evenings. The walk to Chanonry point takes about 40 minutes on easy terrain if you walk in the opposite direction you will find some caves. The Fairy Glen is worth visiting it's a lovely walk and we saw dippers they are charming little birds. So all in all great location comfy and had everything you needed for a week away.
Beautiful Flat right on the River Ness and the location was perfect as it is around 1 mile of the City Centre. The flat itself is beautifully furnished more than enough space for 4 adults. Personally we would have preferred harder mattresses on the beds but that is obviously a person preference. This being said I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Inverness.
Very well equipped cottage less than ten minutes’ stroll from Dornoch shops and centre. Easy to find, plenty of parking outside, lovely garden for sitting out and for the children to play. The booking service and the owner were extremely helpful when we asked to check for a missing toy after departure, and very flexible when we asked to vary our numbers at the last minute. Would definitely recommend and will return should we revisit this beautiful corner of Scotland.
This is a comfortable, well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Lots of information provided on the local area.
I had a very good time in this apartment. Just a little problem with the keys at the beginning. All was perfect.
Bath room door is warped resulting in making door extremely hard to lock, the bed room door opposite entrance to toilet latch on door not locking resulting in door not shutting stays open all the time! System in the toilet was leaking into pan/ running/ resulting in system topping up every 15 Minutes to 20 Minute which makes an awkward noisy especially at night. Dish washer top basket tray has no end locks resulting in basket coming right out when pulled out to fill. There were 2 Glasses in the cupboard which were badly cracked should be replaced! Cutlery is of poor quality and could do...more
We had a wonderful long weekend at the Ivydene Cottage in Cromarty. There were only two of us and we had plenty of space. All rooms are of a good size. Ivydene is well equipped. Everything was functional and spotlessly clean. The cottage was a wee bit cold - both in temperature and décor (for our tastes), but the weather was glorious and we spent a lot of time outside, including the suntrap behind the cottage. Ivydene is ideally located, close to the harbour and sea and just round the corner from the bakery, newsagent and cheese shop. Parking in the street is busy, but easy. We felt like being...more
Not worth the money, would never of went there if I seen it prior to going , it should be hired out for 100 pound a week
Although in a residential housing estate, you wouldn’t know once you are inside the lodge as you have lovely open views to the hills and the decking backs into a nice grassy area and trees. Within 10/15 mins walk to Aviemore, plenty bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstop. The lodge is cosy and warm and has a ski lodge feel with its decor. There are no extras like tea, coffee, sugar or even salt and pepper so take everything you need! Plenty crockery and cooking utensils though. A few housekeeping issues we fed back to the property company so sure they will be sorted for the next guests. ...more
The cottage is lovely, comfortable clean and compact, which is important since I have mobility limitations. Situation is quiet and private, ideal really. Well furnished, in good condition. We had difficulty understanding the instructions for the TV and hob, and the washing machine didn't work as expected.... We also struggled a bit with the heating system. But once we'd got used to all these things we were fine. We liked it very much and hope to go back. Thankyou
Have stayed here on a number of occasions. The reason we return is that it meets all our requirements. It is very comfortable. It has a parking space, yet you can easily walk into Inverness centre to dine out.
We enjoyed our stay in 7 Westercraigs, which was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. A couple of minor improvements could be made in that one of the place mats was worn, a pan was not clean and there was no pot scrubber to clean it with. Apart from those minor points the Apartment was perfect with a nice walk down to the canal nearby.
We were very comfortable. It is in a quiet location with excellent bus service to and from the city. No 4 stops right outside and No 3 goes from the bottom of the road. The facilities in the apartment were excellent although the hot water supply to the kitchen sink is barely adequate, especially as there is no dishwasher. It half fills a bowl with hot water at one time. We had some great days out including travelling the famous Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh railway, the Botanic Garden and a boat trip on the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. All highly recommended.
This house was very clean and met our needs well and was a good house to come back to whilst a member of the family had a stay at Raigmore Hospital. It was a five minute drive to the hospital, the retail park and a great play park which was very convenient. The house is beautifully furnished with lovely art on the walls. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable. The back garden is stunning and a lovely place to sit and eat and an enclosed space for our 3 year old to play in securely. The owners were friendly and very helpful and accommodating and I would ...more
A comfortable, well equipped house with a lovely master bedroom and splendid views over the roof tops of St Monans, to the harbour. Struggled with spiral stairs at first, especially taking a cup of tea from the kitchen up to the lounge or to bedrooms on further 2 floors, felt like living in a lighthouse, but got used to it! Parking for one car on frontage, usually room for more cars on the road. Good heating, under your control, plenty of hot water. My favourite part of the house was the master bedroom.
Kitchen esp fridge freezer and oven not good cleanliness. Bed and living room seating very uncomfortable. Garden a mess.
The apartment is a good base for exploring the Highlands. It's located near to the city centre and it has all the things you need for your stay. The apartment is in good condition despite the usage.
although we had a good holiday we found some faults with the cabin no bedding in single room broken blind on kitchen door no bulb in bedside lamp in single room faulty wiring on one bedside lamp in double bedroom bathroom door would not shut crack in a plate which had been glued and was not use kettle lid would not shut so water boiled over if you did not watch it fire in living room did not work although portable heater was provided
Ideal, lovely property in a central location ideal for three people. Large secure garden and parking.
Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
Big house. A bit of a damp old smell. Hard place to find. But it did for our needs. Has all the kitchen equipment etc.
Clean except for heavily stained coffee mugs. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable bed. Induction hob seemed temperamental to us. Had to call contact as radiators were switched off and ask how to operate the unfamiliar TV. Contact's relatives came, got the radiators going and the TV running. (After they left we found that short of studying the manufacturers manual, we couldn't change channel. Aargh ... Not worth the hassle.) No hot water. Tried to call contact again but no reply. We boiled a kettle to wash the dishes, then boiled some more to wash ourselves. Still no response from contact des...more
