Apartment 8, The Granary has everything! USB ports in the outlets, no converters needed. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cookware. There are directions for everything. There is even a Tom Tom for use, though we didn't need it because we had navigation in our rental car. The beds were very comfortable, the towels soft and plentiful. The view of the North Sea is incomparable and the information binder was very complete, including a history of the building. The value was terrific. We stayed in 4 different places on our trip and this was my husband's favorite. I would re...more
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Harbour View. The view from the lounge window is stunning and the ever changing light on the sky and water was just beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Cromarty is a really lovely place and the locals are friendly and welcoming. There’s a lot to see and do from walking along the beach and headlands to wandering around the town and its shops. Don’t miss the Cheese Shop and Ingrid’s House!
Stunning apartment, very friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to find last minute accommodation for me.
The Oystercatcher is an ideal flat for a stay in Nairn. It is well equipped. The decking is an added bonus as we could sit out and watch the sunset wrapped in a blanket! We enjoyed our short stay and would recommend the Oystercatcher to friends.
We had a wonderful week at No. 10. Lovely bright apartment, with the most beautiful views. Highly recommend!
Dell View Cottage surpassed all our expectations - it was immaculate throughout, with an extremely well stocked kitchen, very comfortable couches and beds and a powerful shower. The lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers were much appreciated and our young son was delighted with his king size bed. All rooms are really spacious and bright and have generous amounts of storage. The outdoor seating area is private and the views from the lounge are lovely. Despite the fact that it is less than 10 minutes walk from Inshes Retail Park you can hardly hear any traffic noise inside the house. We r...more
The house is full of charm and a fine opportunity to experience a real highland, historically beautiful place. Ideal place for a rest up with access direct from the property gardens to fantastic authentic scenic area. Also a perfect location for visiting the wider area, with waterfalls, forests, and moorland a plenty and friendly villages nearby.
Heath Cottage is clean, warm, comfortable and dog friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are really comfy and made up with high quality pillows, duvets and linen. The garden is safe and secure for dogs and gives direct access to the forest beyond with miles of walks. The Boat of Garten is convenient for exploring the Cairngorm area but also has 2 great local shops and the local hotel is dog friendly and has good food. We didn't realise that Heath Cottage is semi-detached but we had no-one staying in either neighbouring houses and so it was very quiet. We look forward to retur...more
Had a fantastic stay at this property. All needs catered for; great location - very central but quiet and serene. Lovely furnishings. Books and guides provided to enhance stay in this location. Quality of bedding excellent. Able to manage heating to suit your own needs and constant hot water. Cannot be faulted!
The location of Ardshellach is wonderful: a peaceful and beautiful spot with fabulous views and yet by no means isolated. There are neighbours - and the ones we met were very friendly - but, from the main windows, you can see not a single building, even in the distance. There are shops, pubs and restaurants within 2-3 miles and Oban is about 20 minutes away - everything you need can be found there. The area is full of things to do and places to visit and the house contains full information about them all, in the form of a helpful pair of files compiled by the owner and previous guests, as w...more
Oran Mor is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting! We enjoyed every moment we were there. The views from the house are breathtaking, but it’s also perfectly situated for local exploration. Plus, the owner was very responsive when we had questions.
We have rented holiday cottages on the Black Isle annually for the last 20 years. There have been a few that were poor, most are very good, but Craobhan Cottage is outstanding. Bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen, etc., all first class. It is so peaceful - no traffic noise, in fact no noise at all other than the birdsong. Dozens of goldfinches and siskins on the bird feeders all day long, red kite floating overhead, rabbits running everywhere and occasional visits from the red squirrels. All this coupled with lovely friendly hosts in the adjacent cottage. Despite being relatively remote, ...more
Really enjoyed my stay at Woodlands with my 3 little boys & dog. Great location, very close to Inverness & lots of Black Isle walks. The caravan was well equipped with a lovely garden ideal for the kids & dog. Would be happy to come & stay again!
The apartment was clean and very comfortable, close to the shopping centre. I would stay there again if I came back to Inverness
Excellent accommodation in a good central location in Dornoch. The property has been really well modernised to a high standard. It was also spotlessly clean. The back garden is lovely, with views over Struie golf course. There were some really nice extra touches- such as a vase of flowers on the dining table, shortbread biscuits and milk etc in the fridge. I would thoroughly recommend this property. We are definitely going to return!
Drumbuie Lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. I took along a few extra household items that I knew I would need over the holidays but there was really no need, the kitchen has all the appliances you could possibly need, the dishwasher and washer dryer were very handy. I’ve got to say that this is the best we have ever slept while on holiday, my husband usually doesn’t sleep well when not at home but the beds where very comfortable. The log burner was great, heating the whole lodge if you kept the room doors open (logs are easily purchased in Beauly from the hardware shop, the...more
We had a lovely relaxed break, our kids loved the space in the house and the huge garden area. We loved the local woods to walk and cycle in and the village is only along the road for fabulous ice cream, cafes and local crafts. We all appreciated the table tennis room and made good use of this when the weather wasn’t great. We would lived to come back to this house as there’s still so much to see and do in your doorstep.
Thoroughly recommend, house was spotless and had everything you needed to facilitate a lovely break, from all cooking utensils to a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Location was also spot on, and overall ten out of ten - very happy!
No 4 Harbourview is a perfect spot for a relaxing stay in Cromarty. Absolutely everything has been carefully thought of for the comfort and enjoyment of guests. Spotlessly clean throughout. The location helps. Sitting in a comfortable room with a large picture window directly across from the harbour is a lovely setting at any time of day but particularly at sunset. This is a separate room from the living area, a perfect place to relax or read. The pretty garden at the back and along from the property has seating and looks directly across to the harbour. It is fully enclosed. We stayed with ou...more
We had a very nice stay at Maple Cottage! The Appartment is equipped with everything one might need and has a great view from the balcony over the beautiful landscape. Brian and Aisla know how to make their guests welcome, there was a pint of milk in the fridge and some sweets and tea and coffee for the first days.
This was a lovely house which was perfectly suited to our needs with an enclosed garden for the dog, large shed for bikes and a very comfortable home which has been decorated to a high standard and everything we needed was there. We would definitely consider using again if back in the area.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
A fine cabin for a relaxing break with an amazing view of Loch Ruthven. Close to Inverness and some fine lochs.
Met and exceeded all of our high expectations. For us the perfect property in the perfect location and in immaculate condition. Would love to re-visit again.
Such a lovely, comfortable, well-located flat! Very modern, quiet, luxurious space with well-stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, heated floors in the bathrooms, and a terrace to enjoy the views of Cragellachie Rock. Also, Kenny was very responsive and always available to help me with any questions that I had. I highly recommend this flat to anyone that wants to spend time in the beautiful Aviemore!
This is a great apartment. It is spotlessly clean & very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped ( as is the rest of the apartment ) & there is a good sized shower room /toilet upstairs plus additional toilet facilities down stairs. The bedroom is a a decent size with a very comfortable bed & good storage space. Ideally situated, just five minutes walk from the city centre . As it is extremely close to Tesco's we thought it would be noisy but it was a very quite location, especially at night. The parking permit was a bonus too as we were able to park the car outside of the property & could keep an ...more
Was really impressed with apartment was great location for Inverness and property itself was top quality.
We had a really nice time at Red Kite Cottage every thing was as you would hope it would be. we could well be back again another year.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
A spacious and well appointed cottage that is also cosy. Being there in March needed the wood burner. One small point was there was no kindling or axe to make any. We made some using a wrench and chisel! Kitchen modern and well stocked. Back porch useful for coats, storage and dog's bedroom!
Very well equipped and thoughtfully put together holiday home. Extremely comfortable throughout lots of nice little touches like fresh flowers, coffee pod machine, scented candles and nice Scottish toiletries - great kitchen facilities which meant you could cook properly if you wanted to. Wood burner great to relax by and beds wonderfully comfortable. Met our hosts at the house - couldn’t have been nicer and also ate very well at their restaurant in Dornoch - Luigis highly recommend this property and the hosts - make sure you book a table as they are a very popular choice in the town. I previously stayed here last June and found it so convenient that it was my first choice for my return trip this year. Centrally located and close to restaurants and shops. Also close to the river with its beautiful and restful walks.
VERY NICE LOG CABIN PERFECT FOR US WITH OUR 3 BORDER COLLIES, SANDY BEACHES JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY DOGS HAD A GREAT TIME
Stayed a week in July. This is our third stay here and it did not disappoint. Accommodation very clean, modern and comfortable. All the space and facilities we need with added bonus of hot tub and sauna which were both used a number of times. It’s location is within walking distance to centre of Aviemore and easy access to cycle routes and a number of good walks. Loved it and will be returning next year.
Well equipped, fantastic location, we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to anyone. We hope to return.
From the warm and respectful welcome ,our host Anne and Donald, and the small touches (fresh home made scones) ,we knew we had chosen quality accommodation. The bungalow is well appointed through out and spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is in a rural location but large supermarkets and restraints are easily accessable and the city of Inverness is only 15 minutes away by car.The owners have a working croft. During our stay, Donald made our visiting relatives from Austraila very welcome, and provided boots to take them all down to see the new lambs and other animals.. The large lounge is...more
A cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage. The location is perfect in the nicest part of Cromarty close to everywhere but secluded enough if you want that. .We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for next year. Cromarty is a great place to chill out and relax or go sightseeing as you please.
We could not have asked for a better place in Inverness. Would definitely book again and highly recommended!
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
We have stayed in all the apartments in the Square over the years, and all are of high standard. Only problem is the stairs up one flight to 1st level and a further set of stairs to top level. Can get a bit tedious. However self catering accommodation in Dornoch is at a premium, and last minute breaks are difficult to obtain. Plus costs are now fairly high due to demand. We enjoy Dornoch for a leisurely break and the apartment is modern , comfortable and centrally placed.
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This apartment is located a short walk from many restaurants, shops and the river. It is very very homey and comfortable. We stayed three nights and would have been happy to have stayed longer.
For the most part we were very happy with the property . However some adjustments could make it even better . The bathroom could benefit from an upgrade and at least there should be a grab handle for exiting the bath, the bedroom upstairs ,it was almost impossible to get out of the bed on one side under the very low eve, at least there should be a change in the ceiling colour so that you can see the very low ceiling. Furnishings and kitchen were excellent and we would gladly return to this pleasant property.
Well equipped , superclean apartment near main area of Inverness. Walking distance to everything. Excellent communication . Easy checkin.
Birds Eye View was a lovely apartment in an ideal location. It was spacious, clean and equipped with everything you could wish for. Dornoch itself provides sufficient places to eat and local butchers, bakers and small stores to suit everyday needs. Plenty of walking nearby with seals galore between Golspie and Brora when we visited. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday base in this area.
We found the apartment very convenient for the town centre and for the ring-road taking one further afield. There is a walled area around the building with allocated parking space; a quiet location which is easy to find. Scott was particularly helpful and thoughtful.
Lovely cottage very comfortable, getting milk bread, cake and shortbread was a lovely touch ,excellent location for hotel shop, and bus service, a great place to relax and unwind ,will certainly be back.
Sheneval is a well equipped apartment with a private outdoor seating area - great for eating outside when the weather is good. There is easy access to the riverside for walkers and a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping centres. Beds are very comfortable, but if you have a child who sleepwalks the stair could really do with a stair gate at the top. That and the constant traffic noise are the only downsides to an otherwise excellent apartment.
First impressions of Beach View were fantastic. Right across from a large grassy area for the kids to play with their ball and about a 2 minute walk to a lovely play park. Walk another couple of minutes and you come to yet another park and the leisure centre. The beach is right at the doorstep and the harbour only a few minutes in the other direction. Nairn Golf Club is also only about a 15 minute walk along the beach front and the views are breathtaking. The cottage itself is very clean and decorated to a high standard with all the facilities you could wish for. The stand alone bath in the ...more
The accommodation is new and in excellent condition. There is a small closed off garden for the dog. It’s a great cottage to use as a base for things to do in the area. It needs towel rails in the bathrooms, but we cannot fault it in any other way.
Good area for watching wildlife, which was the purpose of our journey. Comfortable property with all the things you need, handy location too.
Balorrin ticked all the boxes. The house is light, bright and spacious , pretty gardens in a stunningly beautiful part of Scotland. Fun places to explore and lots to do, and the most charming landlords.
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Comfortable, well equipped cottage in ideal location for Inverness area. Wi-fi was unstable which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others that can't live without it. Our only concern was when our 3 year old grandson stayed with us and the fully glazed doors in the living area.
We stayed in this warm, comfortable, well presented apartment in May and were delighted with it. The view of the Cairngorms from the window was really beautiful - whether they were in sunshine or swathed in cloud. A charming place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this beautiful area.
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. The place is warm and is situated in a surprisingly quiet street not too far from the A9 and easy to find. Each day we were able to get a parking spot in the street either right outside or quite near the apartment. It is well located and so is just a short walk from shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc on both sides of the River Ness. It had all the faciities we needed (e.g. laundry, cooker, etc) and was very comfortable. The price was very reasonabe too. Heating: the centr...more
This is the second time we have stayed at 208. The property is located in heart of Inverness ,the management sent out all required information. The unit is cleaned to a very high standard. Even with double glazing the noise still made it hard to sleep. The unit need maintenance ,the curtains and various other items. Needs TV in bedroom and lights above mirrors
Excellent stay, business stay very close to the hospital. Very clean nice apartment. Drains slightly smelly when first walked in but after couple of days was ok.
A spacious suite that was well equipped. The location was very good for walking to the downtown and river walk.
Wonderful cottage Easy to locate All items needed stocked in the home. Made for a comfortable short stay.
Excellent base for our trip. Great property very nice area. Very clean and tidy plenty of space and very comfortable. Would go again.
Enjoyed my stay at this apartment, Good Facilities, it has all the essentials you require. my only complaint is there was no operating instruction for the ceramic hob.
The location is lovely, being close to the town centre and the beach. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived. The WiFi was good and reliable. However it is quite tired with a bizarre layout and the bedrooms are very small. No wardrobes or chest of drawers in any room just open clothes rails in two of the rooms. The double bed is quite small. The equipment - TV, washing machine, oven, etc., are all quite old and temperamental. The outside space is gravel but gets the sun.
This would have been a 5 star review if it had not been for the bed in the master bedroom! It was really, really, uncomfortable as the wooden base creaks and crunches when you move an inch. The noise kept waking us up and we had very bad sleeps for the 3 nights we were there. I looked back on previous reviews and noticed that this had been mentioned previously and these comments have obviously been ignored. Why ask for feedback if you don’t do anything about it? Get a new base for the bed and you will have some very happy clients.
This bungalow is on a new purpose built road, on the way from Aviemore to cairngorm mountain. Very close to cycle paths, forest etc. Well equipped spacious open plan living areas. Modern minimalist decor. A few things need attention, eg the bath plug leaks. Big downside for me was the hot tub outside. On all the time heating gallons of water unnecessarily. In these times of climate emergency it made me sick to think of all that fuel being used for no reason. Would be better if they switch it on only for people who ask for it. Apart from that a nice place to stay.
The apartment is modern and contemporary. It is nicely decorated with good furniture. The are nice views of the castle. There are shops, bars and restaurants in the near location. It is bright and clean with good equipment. It has excellent parking underground. A very nice place to stay. It has the feel of luxury. However, the noise from the bars and clubs below and adjacent to the building in the early hours last until 3am on Saturday and Sunday morning. The beat of the music tends to reverberate throughout the building. The matress on the bed was poor and thin. It was uncomforta...more
We were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation with all needs considered and look forward to a return visit.
Location for tye golf course is as good as it gets. Its a very good size whixh benefits form a separate dinning room plus a kitchen dinner. The only improvement is upping the power on the ensuite shower.. not sure what the family one was like.
We had a lovely weekend in this comfortable, clean apartment. We were attending wedding, and were just across road from hotel and church and in easy walking distance of all shops and lovely walks down Ness bank. Bought a lovely Sunday dinner from m&s, only thing we missed was salt&pepper, would have been nice if provided . Lovely dishes to serve it on and everything else I needed for cooking. Owners were very friendly & helpful.
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely place to stay, immaculate accommodation, would stay again, lisa the owner was very helpful snd i shall be booking again in the near future
Cottage was very clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for us, close to the beach and within driving distance of some great visitor sites. Gardens were well kept and would be lovely to sit out in (Scottish weather permitting). Very kind of the owners to leave guide books, local maps and information for reference. Only point to criticise would be lack of control given to guests to control the heating in the property. We were there during a particularly cold week in May (down to 1/2 degrees C in the evenings) and with all the heaters locked and set at between 16 & 18 degrees it mad...more
Ideal location, very tasteful decoration and comfortable sitting area. Good vifi. Good king size bed and duvet, . Generally, quite clean and very pleasant. · Double bed would benefit from larger, warmer duvet. Poor selection of cooking pans - great quality but only two lidded pans, a tiny sauce pan and a frying pan. No cooking equipment such as bowls, oven trays and dishes, grater. Parking space unavailable though included in booking agreement was a total pain and inconvenience, causing a lot of problems for two oldies, one of whom is registered disabled. Cleaning company needs to be super...more
We really had a good experience in Cromarty,The accommodation was a real home from home with everything you could possibly need .we had not anticipated being in such spacious accommodation but it was not a problem The weather was excellent but there were were loads of DVDs ,books etc available. We would be be happy to come and hope to do so.
Very comfortable and spacious log cabin. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Could be doing with more hooks for outdoor jackets and clothes etc in the hall and bedrooms. Fridge a bit small for provisions for 6 people (we were only 4). All in all we had a great stay.
I had a very good time in this apartment. Just a little problem with the keys at the beginning. All was perfect.
A well located and comfortable apartment in a very interesting village which formed the perfect base for our first visit to the Black Isle. The location is particularly suitable for dog owners with immediate access to the beach.
the house was good but to far away from pub and a sore walk back to it yes every thing was fine. would use this house again.
The house is clean, warm and overall great. However the sofas are well worn and require replacing, the utility room is an airing cupboard with nowhere to actually hang outdoor clothes to dry, and there is not a separate washing machine and dryer - just a washer/dryer.
The house is nice, but would benefit from a bit more maintenance e.g. there is a washing machine in the outhouse but it needs to a frost damaged pipe replaced, there was a set of outside chairs but no table, the remote control for the tv doesn't work (the 1 and the up button are faulty), and a previous guest mentioned the problem with the lid on the hot tub but it is still not fixed. There was an adequate supply of kitchen equipment, but again it was frugal. All of these things were irritating and therefore didn't add up to a poor holiday experience, but could easily be fixed to make this an...more
Nice property, great location especially if you have a car. Good base for Cairngorms, nature reserves, etc. Red Squirrel visited garden, deer outside garden. Fairly close to local shops, etc. Would definitely go again if we visit Highlands.
I should really give this place a poor ref .. so it's stays a secret gem !! But I can't because it is !! Stayed lots now .Never disappointed !!
We spent a few nights over the festive season in this beautiful dwelling. It is lovely to see that, over the years that we have stayed, the owners upkeep their home regularly and with great flair for a calming décor. It is very functional, in a super location and ever so peaceful. We love staying here :-) thank you
This cottage was amazing both for the quality of the accommodation and the location backing onto Udale bay. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard and provided a lovely base for exploring the Black Isle. It would have been lovely to sit in the garden and enjoy the view over the bay but sadly the weather wasn’t up for this. The frustrating thing about the cottage is that you can’t see the view from any of the seating areas inside. I spent a lot of time standing at the kitchen window with my binoculars so I could birdwatch over the bay. The alternative was sitting on the bed. Th...more
Excellent centrally located house with all ammenities to hand. Furnished and equiped to a high standard.
We were very comfortable. It is in a quiet location with excellent bus service to and from the city. No 4 stops right outside and No 3 goes from the bottom of the road. The facilities in the apartment were excellent although the hot water supply to the kitchen sink is barely adequate, especially as there is no dishwasher. It half fills a bowl with hot water at one time. We had some great days out including travelling the famous Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh railway, the Botanic Garden and a boat trip on the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. All highly recommended.
I stayed 3 nights with elderly family this house was ideal access was easy, there were a couple of steps however they were very easy to climb for the slightly less able in the party. The living area and bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was outstanding for a rental property with everything you could possibly need and more.
everything was ok ! Closed garden area around the house very nice for the dogs. Kitchen well eqipped !
Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
