Beyond expectation Well done to owner for making it the best .perfect location and well kept place Thanks
The house is full of charm and a fine opportunity to experience a real highland, historically beautiful place. Ideal place for a rest up with access direct from the property gardens to fantastic authentic scenic area. Also a perfect location for visiting the wider area, with waterfalls, forests, and moorland a plenty and friendly villages nearby.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Harbour View. The view from the lounge window is stunning and the ever changing light on the sky and water was just beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Cromarty is a really lovely place and the locals are friendly and welcoming. There’s a lot to see and do from walking along the beach and headlands to wandering around the town and its shops. Don’t miss the Cheese Shop and Ingrid’s House!
The location of Ardshellach is wonderful: a peaceful and beautiful spot with fabulous views and yet by no means isolated. There are neighbours - and the ones we met were very friendly - but, from the main windows, you can see not a single building, even in the distance. There are shops, pubs and restaurants within 2-3 miles and Oban is about 20 minutes away - everything you need can be found there. The area is full of things to do and places to visit and the house contains full information about them all, in the form of a helpful pair of files compiled by the owner and previous guests, as w...more
We stayed at Braevellie for one week and had a fabulous time. The location is very convenient for walking into the city centre, or a quick drive out to Loch Ness, Cairngorms or north to the Black Isle. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. We really appreciated special touches like Christmas decorations being set up and friendly and responsive communication with our host. We would definitely consider staying here again.
The Granary apartment in Banff is really excellent. Everything in the apartment is beautifully done - apart from one small thing - the electrical switches need labelling as you would not want to switch off something by mistake. The location is as good as it gets - great view over the bay, just along from the Tesco, and easy walking distance to the bus stops so a good one for those who do not have a car.
Having taken 3 attempts to find the house in the dark we were very pleased to find it clean and cosy inside, with an excellent welcome pack and some flowers on the kitchen table. The comfortable beds meant we were ready to explore in the morning - we realised part of the golf course was at the end of the garden - the location was ideal - a couple of minutes to the square in one direction and 5 minutes to the beach in the other. The sofa's were very good for relaxing, but not very easy to get out of! The Kitchen was well stocked in all cooking equipment and utensils, although we kept runnin...more
We loved our visit to Oran Mor. A perfect blend of a modern house, incredible views, silence and comfort. We will be coming back.
The cottage is warm, welcoming and comfortable. Great hosts and a lovely area. Always a pleasure to visit.
Really enjoyed my stay at Woodlands with my 3 little boys & dog. Great location, very close to Inverness & lots of Black Isle walks. The caravan was well equipped with a lovely garden ideal for the kids & dog. Would be happy to come & stay again!
A lovely homely property furnished and fitted with nice quality throughout. Immaculately presented. Easy access to village too. Will definitely visit again. A great holiday! Thanks.
Drumbuie Lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. I took along a few extra household items that I knew I would need over the holidays but there was really no need, the kitchen has all the appliances you could possibly need, the dishwasher and washer dryer were very handy. I’ve got to say that this is the best we have ever slept while on holiday, my husband usually doesn’t sleep well when not at home but the beds where very comfortable. The log burner was great, heating the whole lodge if you kept the room doors open (logs are easily purchased in Beauly from the hardware shop, the...more
Lovely, comfortable house, literally one minute's walk from the shore and harbour. Plenty comfortable seating, spacious, bright bedrooms and modern shower rooms. We particularly liked the little sitting room beyond the kitchen with its view of the harbour. The house was warm and cosy despite the cold weather outside. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery glasses etc. There are great coffee shops/cafes in Cromarty and the small supermarket stocks all basic foodstuffs and more. The bakery stocks a great range of breads and the cheese shop is worth a visit for cheese lovers! Crom...more
Delightful accommodation with excellent views across to Ben Wyvis and the surrounding countryside. Perfectly located within a peaceful setting and is an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of the Highlands. The cottage is very well equipped and cosy. The owner Brian is very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The mobile phone signal is very good as perhaps the only slight negative for us is there is no WiFi, although I appreciate for many this would be a definite positive! A great stay and great value for money. Thank you.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
Met and exceeded all of our high expectations. For us the perfect property in the perfect location and in immaculate condition. Would love to re-visit again.
We were very happy with accommodation. Spotless. Peaceful and quite. Loved the radiators easy to set required temperature. Attention to detail. Would definately return.
Had a wonderful family week at Broc Lodge Cabin. Excellent Service from Carol. The lodge was so well equipped . Lots of maps and tourist information in the cabin. We had deer looking in over the fence at us. The front of the lodge had wonderful views over Loch Ruthven. The nearest shop was quite a bit away, but we had plenty stores with us. Had a lovely meal at the Doris Inn . The Mini bus from the the Inn picked us up and took us back.
This is a great apartment. It is spotlessly clean & very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped ( as is the rest of the apartment ) & there is a good sized shower room /toilet upstairs plus additional toilet facilities down stairs. The bedroom is a a decent size with a very comfortable bed & good storage space. Ideally situated, just five minutes walk from the city centre . As it is extremely close to Tesco's we thought it would be noisy but it was a very quite location, especially at night. The parking permit was a bonus too as we were able to park the car outside of the property & could keep an ...more
Was really impressed with apartment was great location for Inverness and property itself was top quality.
We loved this house and had a brilliant week's holiday. We are looking forward to going back again later this year and next January.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
Family of four, great week here in November. Top class property, very happy. Location is fantastic for access to Inverness and surrounding area. Never too far from anything. Weather was perfect - this area often escapes all the rain! Property very cosy, well equipped, perfect for young family with beach so near (across the road!).
overall a great place to stay when visiting Inverness. The private underground parking is really useful as the apartment is right in the city centre and parking can be difficult. When we had to contact the owners to change our booking the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous and dealt with our problem swiftly. we have stayed here before and would certainly stay again.
A very comfortable property located just off the A9 means this is perfectly located for travel in all directions, easy to use this as a base for exploring the Highlands. Excellent garden if staying with dogs as fully enclosed. Well furnished with all facilities we required and ample parking.
Bowlins is a warm, clean, comfortable cottage in a perfect location. Everything you need is provided in the cottage and it's location is central to all the village walks and as a base for travelling to all the amenities on offer in the area.
VERY NICE LOG CABIN PERFECT FOR US WITH OUR 3 BORDER COLLIES, SANDY BEACHES JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY DOGS HAD A GREAT TIME
As returning guests we were not disappointed. We had a lovely relaxing time. Good weather and lots of walking. Nice new bed and comfy mattress. Addition of outdoor table and chairs is great. Looking forward to returning next time.
The cottage had everything we wanted and we appreciated the tea bags, coffee and the like that had been left.
We stayed in the house for 5 days, and we really enjoyed our stay. We had some trouble finding the house when we arrived, because the street didn't exist correctly in the GPS (Google Maps and Waze); I'm guessing that's because it's fairly recent. Its location 20 minutes North of Inverness was perfect for our needs. The house itself was exactly as advertised, just right for 4 people, with a comfortable living room, and very clean. The only issue we had is that we barely had any hot water on our last 1,5 days (basically the equivalent of one full minute in the shower). I mentioned this proble...more
We had a great time in this apartment, it was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Close to town, great off-road parking for two cars and quiet despite being on quite a busy toad. We had to extend our stay a couple of times and had excellent customer service from both Gael Holiday Homes and the owner. We would, and hopefully will, happily return again. The only one small thing that would have made our stay even better would have been a stairgate at the top of the stairs - our toddler isn’t always a fan of staying in his own bed!
Maus Steading is beautifully located between Dornoch and Embo with some sea views. It's very quiet and the cottage got all the comforts for you to chill out. We particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove, the large kitchen to cook and the big shower and bath (fantastic water pressure). The property is surrounded by very well-kept garden which would be a joy in summer. As it was only 2 of us we occupied the downstairs bedroom. The mattress could have been of a higher quality in the downstairs bedroom. The two upstairs bedrooms had better quality mattresses but I could unfortunately not quite...more
From the warm and respectful welcome ,our host Anne and Donald, and the small touches (fresh home made scones) ,we knew we had chosen quality accommodation. The bungalow is well appointed through out and spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is in a rural location but large supermarkets and restraints are easily accessable and the city of Inverness is only 15 minutes away by car.The owners have a working croft. During our stay, Donald made our visiting relatives from Austraila very welcome, and provided boots to take them all down to see the new lambs and other animals.. The large lounge is...more
We felt the only thing wrong . The Duvet was not broad enough for bed . Double bed need King size Duvet.,Not A single as on Bed ,
We could not have asked for a better place in Inverness. Would definitely book again and highly recommended!
Comfort was rated “good” only because the shower ceiling was too low for our 6 foot golf son. Also, not having WiFi was inconvenient but more importantly, our cell phone reception was very poor. For safety reasons (house fire, injury, etc.) a land line telephone is a necessity.
We had a fantastic stay at the Fisherman's Cottage. It is well located in the beautiful town of Cromarty with lots to see and do in the town and immediate area. The cottage itself is fantastic: warm, cosy, welcoming, clean and very tastefully decorated. A very relaxing place to stay.
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
Thank you for a great stay in Inverness. We loved the location. All amenities were perfect. We were very comfortable in our home away from home. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
A nice modern maisonette in a good location overlooking the central cathedral area of Dornoch. Well equipped with just about everything you will need. Good to have a good book selection on display. Just about the only drawback was the creaky floorboards especially in the main bedroom - I guess that's a problem with being a relatively new property with fibreboard floors. However this was our second stay there, so for us the pluses obviously outweigh this one minus.
We live in Inverness but had friends coming to visit from out of town who needed somewhere to stay. They were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the apartment and all the little personal touches evident when they arrived too. We would definitely try to book again on their next visit.
This is our second visit to Shoreview. We love it there. The house is beautifully appointed wigh everything you need. A lovely welcome package awaits. So handy with the city, just 5 mins by car, yet such a great little village by the sea. We shall definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated and equipped unlike some holiday lets that seem to be filled with clutter and cast offs. Everything was new and well kept. Perfect for a short break
St Montans is a very pretty village and Harbour Heights is beautifully located with views out to sea.
The accommodation is new and in excellent condition. There is a small closed off garden for the dog. It’s a great cottage to use as a base for things to do in the area. It needs towel rails in the bathrooms, but we cannot fault it in any other way.
Quiet location, convenient for town and links / beaches. A good base for exploring the area and good for dog walking, The cottage is warm, well equipped and everything worked perfectly.
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
We had a wonderful holiday at Balorrin, the location is fantastic and the house is very spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend this for a family trip!
The moment we got to Inverness it was and always will be the best place to visit . my family had been coming to Scotland for the past 30 years and we love every moment. Thanks to Gail Holiday homes it made our stay even better. Thank you so much my family had a wonderful time. Your apartment is one of the nicest place we ever stayed . keep it up/ Once again thank you very much. Until next time. Sincerely Claudia Laurence and family
A great, well equipped property - would highly recommend to anyone visiting Aviemore, and looking for a holiday apartment.
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but were disappointed about the amount of dog hair. I appreciate the house is pet friendly but the amount of dog hair would suggest the property hadn't been cleaned adequately. We had two small children playing on the floor and they were covered in it. There was dog hair floating in the air and an on worktops etc. I'm guessing the large rug in the living room hadn't been hoovered thoroughly and during our stay the amount of dog hair seemed to increase as it was disturbed. We would also suggest including more dishware. The property sleeps 6 but there we...more
What a brilliant stay again at these apartments. First time in this one but have stayed in all of the others they have. Superb decor and the view was excellent. Highly recommend.
This is our third time to stay in these apartments.Twice in the ground floor and first time in the first floor. Location is excellent Apartment is very comfortable with everything you need Bed was very comfortable for a good night's sleep after sightseeing during the day.No complaints will definitely be back next year and would highly recommend it.
Ivydene is a very spacious cottage located in the heart of Cromarty. It’s closeness to the beach and access to beautiful walks, shops, cafes and restaurants mean you can easily enjoy a few days without ever feeling the need to go anywhere else. The cottage itself is very comfortable with bags of room for a family with older and younger children alike (although the absence of Wi-fi may be an issue for some). Kitchen well equipped though a lack of storage space for groceries. Dog friendly although there is no garden as such - just a gravelled area to the back with a drying line. This was a bit...more
The location of this apartment is excellent just a couple of minutes walk into the city. It has a nice little bar at the end of the street. The apartment is well enough equipped with all necessary requirements. The only problem we had was the pillows and duvet could do with being replaced. Pillows were very uncomfortable. As we were staying more than 5 days we understood the towels would have been changed but did not happpen which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise everything else was fine and enjoyed our stay.
The apartment has been furnished with quality goods and is very comfortable. It has all mod cons expected. I can recommend renting this property
I visit family in Inverness a couple of times a year and like to explore the area and introduce my own family to where I grew up. We try different locations in an attempt to be close enough to visit relatives, but far enough to do our own stuff. This apartment fitted the bill perfectly. As an apartment, it had everything and more than you would expect in a holiday rental. We could not find anything that had not been provided to make the stay a home from home, giving all the comforts for all the family. The standards were very high and the views of the golf course and the Moary Firth w...more
Super cottage 2 minutes walk from a sandy/ shingles beach. Lovely comfortable beds. Cosy in the evenings with a multifuel fire. Plenty log in the shed too. Ideal setting for a peaceful stress free break. Also within driving distance to Urquhart Castle, Fort Augusta. Chanory point is a must to see the dolphins ( we did & wow ) I’d recommend with 5* this fine example of a fisherman’s cottage.
This house was a great option for our family. Spacious, clean, walking distance to the city center. It was great.
Great location. Walkable from the train. Easy to walk to town and tours and to take a run along the river. Spacious with balcony.
Sunnybank is in a great location just round the corner from the village centre. Also only a few minutes walk from the beach and in a lovely quiet spot. The house has everything you could need including cooking and cleaning essentials which makes it a real home from home. The house has been modernised and newly furnished but some fittings are still a bit dated. Don’t let that put you off though, it’s a great place for a holiday.
Good apt. However not enough clean towels. Hot water short tank. Two showers then others had to wait for it to heat up delayed out morning start. Maybe point this out. There was a lot or noise outside with drunk teenagers, motorcycles reviving in and cars in the rear car park and front square from 1-3am. So quite noisy. Maybe alert police to local drunken youths. Not in keeping with Dornoch. Probably better options in summer no local eateries open.
We have stayed here on many occasions and find the location and ambience meets our expectations. Better now with wi-fi installed. Love watching the small birds feeding in the garden.
We had a lovely weekend in this comfortable, clean apartment. We were attending wedding, and were just across road from hotel and church and in easy walking distance of all shops and lovely walks down Ness bank. Bought a lovely Sunday dinner from m&s, only thing we missed was salt&pepper, would have been nice if provided . Lovely dishes to serve it on and everything else I needed for cooking. Owners were very friendly & helpful.
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
What a super apartment clean and decorated well . Location is just amazing ..highly recommended . Silly little issues tiny t pot and no hair dryer . Would return for another city break .
Really everything was all right and just so as the description. Regrettably one matrace in a single bed was defect (I think it was broken). We like to come back soon!
Ideal location, very tasteful decoration and comfortable sitting area. Good vifi. Good king size bed and duvet, . Generally, quite clean and very pleasant. · Double bed would benefit from larger, warmer duvet. Poor selection of cooking pans - great quality but only two lidded pans, a tiny sauce pan and a frying pan. No cooking equipment such as bowls, oven trays and dishes, grater. Parking space unavailable though included in booking agreement was a total pain and inconvenience, causing a lot of problems for two oldies, one of whom is registered disabled. Cleaning company needs to be super...more
Very comfortable and spacious log cabin. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Could be doing with more hooks for outdoor jackets and clothes etc in the hall and bedrooms. Fridge a bit small for provisions for 6 people (we were only 4). All in all we had a great stay.
really confortable in the middle of the town, nice deco and good quality beds help you to sleep well in the night you can find all to have a good time in the city
The house is clean, warm and overall great. However the sofas are well worn and require replacing, the utility room is an airing cupboard with nowhere to actually hang outdoor clothes to dry, and there is not a separate washing machine and dryer - just a washer/dryer.
We had a lovely break in this house which was clean, well-equipped and in a great location for Aviemore! Excellent!
Nice property, great location especially if you have a car. Good base for Cairngorms, nature reserves, etc. Red Squirrel visited garden, deer outside garden. Fairly close to local shops, etc. Would definitely go again if we visit Highlands.
We had a lovely stay at Coulmore. The area is lovely and really close to Chanonry Point for dolphin watching and we were lucky to see the dolphins. The cooker in the caravan was missing the shelves so we gave up on it and we had planned our meals to make it an economical holiday so that was my only criticism. I would recommend it.
I should really give this place a poor ref .. so it's stays a secret gem !! But I can't because it is !! Stayed lots now .Never disappointed !!
We spent a few nights over the festive season in this beautiful dwelling. It is lovely to see that, over the years that we have stayed, the owners upkeep their home regularly and with great flair for a calming décor. It is very functional, in a super location and ever so peaceful. We love staying here :-) thank you
Lovely cottage, beautiful location only downside was the mattresses on double and single beds were too hard and lack of additional pillows (we had to purchase an extra 3 pillows). Also sofa feathers were coming out of cushions and lack of bulbs in the the bedroom lamps. In addition there was no welcome pack which normally come as standard with Gael Holiday Cottages, once again apart from these niggles we had a lovely holiday in a fantastic cottage.
I stayed 3 nights with elderly family this house was ideal access was easy, there were a couple of steps however they were very easy to climb for the slightly less able in the party. The living area and bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was outstanding for a rental property with everything you could possibly need and more.
The property was perfect for our family holiday, the different spaces, comfortably furnished, (not too precious) allowed our family all the room we needed. The garden was excellent, accessible and full of interest. A separate well equipped laundry room was ideal as we were preparing to attend a wedding. The location was brilliant, there was too much to do for all ages from our doorstep. Minor hitch, dishwasher tablets did not dissolve in the machine and dinner plates too large to go into the dishwasher.
Enjoyed our short stay ,no problems! Your own transport is necessary as chalet is a bit out of the way otherwise nice and quiet.
Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
