I booked this on behalf of 4 colleagues who were working in the local area. The guests confirmed that it was the best accommodation they have had since working away from home.
We stayed at Broomhill for a week in Brora. The house was bigger than we expected. We found everything that we needed in the kitchen which we used frequently. The location was just off the main road and walking distance to all the shops and distillery. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and comfortable and the house was warm. We received a great tip from one of your team about the distillery tour bring changed. We enjoyed it immensely.
As a group of 3 friends looking to explore the NC500, this house was ideal! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was great. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the photos shown are up-to-date/accurate. There are local facilities nearby in Brora - a supermarket, pub/restaurant, bakery and beach are all 10-15 minutes walk away.
We had magical time staying at Dornie Lodge, from the welcome pack (with wine ) to the stunning setting. The weather was kind so we were able to sit on the patio drinking in the location and wildlife. The lodge was well appointed, light and spacious and spotlessly clean. Within striking distance of so many places of interest. If you need a break from the stresses of modern life, this is the place to come. We will most certainly be back.
A fantastic property with everything we needed in a great location. The property was very clean, nicely decorated and there were lots of nice touches such as milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits. The owners and Gael holidays were very helpful, especially when we needed to stay another night because of the storms. I would highly recommend it.
Having just returned from a 2 week holiday at white cottage I can honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed our visit . The cottage is perfect in every way. It’s location is perfectly suited for touring . Absolutely brilliant
The old library provided everything we needed for a family holiday in the Highlands. The house was spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped and comfortable for our group of 5 adults. Alison (the owner) couldn't have been more helpful with flexibility with check in/out times, info about the local area and a generous welcome pack. The house is perfectly located, minutes away from Brora beach, a CO-OP, a pub, and good selection of places to eat.
Easy to find and a good location for local amenities and days out. Exceptionally clean, well fitted out with quality goods. Information file very useful and comprehensive detailed instructions. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon, would recommend a stay.
Beautiful house, and lots of care taken to make it a lovely break. We wanted to be close to the beach and the house was. We will definately be back. I loved it, so did our dog. Brilliant
A beautiful little cottage tucked away in the city. The were welcomed with a few provision and Christmas spirit which was lovely. You have everything to hand and only a few steps from the city centre, the river and easy access to the open road. We would definitely stay again.
I booked this last minute and was not disappointed. A great place and lovely hosts. I aim to return.
very nice house fantastic location would stay here again views to the sea amazing owners very nice excellent
I stayed here with my daughter to walk a few Munros and enjoy the local area - it was a random find and very glad that I did. I'd have to say that it is the nicest holiday cottage I've ever stayed in. It has been completely renovated to a very high standard, and is very well presented throughout. It has absolutely everything needed, and feels more like staying in a friends house than a soulless rental. The setting of the cottage and the outside space have also been done very well. There's a lovely garden, outside seating and very handy parking. We also saw the owners, who were very p...more
Fantastic really comfortable bungalow in a great location. Brilliant stay and hospitality– thanks very much.
We had a wonderful stay in Dail Daraich, we are a family of 5 and there was ample room for us. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and all the instructions for appliances were available to us. Very friendly host and made sure we knew she was available during our stay. Would love to stay again.
Awesome place, awesome venue and we had awesome weather what more could you ask for we hope to stay again
Great place to stay. Very comfortable and easy drive to Tain and Inverness. Lovely views and very quiet surroundings.
Really modern, clean and spacious apartment for a family of 4. Short walk to Asda, which is handy and a short drive into town.
Stayed for four weeks and found the caravan to be very comfortable. Great service from the owners, too. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Gael, and to stay at Pitgrudy.
Lower Whinhill cottage excelled all our expectations. Great location for walks to the beach & forest walks. The windows aspects were wonderful as in views of the sea and the sunrise and
Can’t say enough about this exceptional retreat. This was our second visit, we were drawn back to this lovely property and stunning location. Nothing better coming back to a roaring fire after bracing walks on the beach and forest nearby.
Great location just a short walk from the city centre - noisy road but depends how sensitive you are
Very comfortable stay, ideal location and quiet rural setting. Well stocked kitchen. Handrail at front door would have been helpful for those less mobile but inside very good for those with mobility issues.
Spotless flat. Fully equipped. Family downstairs pleasant and unobtrusive. Would heartily recommend- thanks
We are back again for our yearly trip North to see family, arriving in the snow and leaving in it! Scotland is well geared up for the bad weather and the A9 is kept clear as well as the airport. The accommodation is always very clean and tidy, facilities great. Beds nice and comfortable. The owner always leaves some food items which are a blessing after a long journey. There are also some cleaning bits and bobs which are also a welcome. Had a fabulous time with the weather even though it was cold. Can't wait to book again for next year. Well done to the owner for showing that returning g...more
Excellent accomodation, centrally located in Dornoch Square. Only downside is stairs . All the necessary facilities for an enjoyable holiday in a beautiful part of Scotland.
3 of us plus the dog had a great stay here. Perfect size accommodation in a great location. Would definitely stay again.
We loved every minute spent at Ardshellach . Well equipped and spotlessly clean . So cosy with open fire and wonderful views. The grandchildren loved the garden. Oban only a few miles by car but we used the well stocked shop in Benderloch. Everything was perfect for us , highly recommend and will definitely return .
This was a really clean and well maintained flat. The customer service and information for getting there and checking in from gael holidays was brilliant. The location was so lovely, really close to City centre with the added bonus of views over the beautiful River Ness. Have stayed in these apartments before in a different flat and would definitely stay again
Beautiful house, perfect location, walkable to everything you need. Highly recommend staying in this gorgeous house.
I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Fairfield Lane. The house is simply adorable, just the right size for a single person or a couple, and extremely well situated. Communication from the hosts was proactive and timely, and while I did not require anything, I appreciate them making sure I was comfortable. I cannot recommend it enough. ——— La petite maison de Fairfield Lane est un bijou. De taille idéale pour un couple ou un voyageur seul, et extrêmement bien située. Amazing accommodation, extremely clean and tidy . The beds were very comfy, as well as the sofas , so we could totally relax after being out all day , under the abundance of blankets provided. Garden was lovely would love to return in the summer , not midge season !, . Great location for exploring in and around inverness. The welcome pack was great and much appreciated, also all of the extras i.e soap , dish tabs etc All in all we would love to return Thank you so much Donna
Lovely apartment, very comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful views and if the weather had been better we would certainly have taken advantage of the balcony more.
We loved our second visit to 'On the Beach' and were blessed with kind weather (again) for the time of year! The property is beautifully presented, in a fantastic location and we hope to visit again next year.
An excellent location and very clean and tidy. Organisation through Gael holidays was excellent. Very helpful. Would definitely use again.
Rowan House is the perfect base for exploring in this area. Great location with one of the best beaches I've ever seen in the UK right on the doorstep. Dunrobbin Castle is just around the corner and the golf courses nearby are superb. The house itself is so comfortable with plenty of room both inside and out for 5 of us and 2 dogs. We had elderly grandparents with us and everything being on one level made it so easy for grandad who is 90, his favourite spot in the house was at the picture window watching the world go by. Just a couple of niggles - the twin bedroom was next door to what we ...more
Excellent location within a prime residential area. Apartment was kitted out with everything you needed. Only issue was with size of beds, would have benefited from having king sized beds as found double beds a bit small.
Nice warm house in winter. Good location. Pretty private - not really overlooked. 2nd bedroom had no storage in it; but 1st bedroom does have large double built in wardrobes. Livingroom is good size but corner sofa is awkward to sit any more than 3 adults on. Kitchen has good selection of utensils & cutlery. Drive fits 3 cars. No Christmas decorations.
The flat was wonderful and we couldn’t fault it. Clean, warm, well equipped, very pleasant with nice quality comfy beds and bedding. 2 bathrooms were very convenient and the whole flat was just high quality and nice to return to after our days out.
We had a great 17 day stay at this apartment. The view from the windows and balcony of the river and the bridges was spectacular. We even saw a coule of harbor seals in the river, as well as ducks and birds. We found the place to be very clean. The rooms, including the two bathrooms, are very spacious, with lots of closet and storage space. The lighting was excellent, very bright and cheerful even on cloudy days. The kitchen was fully equipped and suited our purposes when we wished to have breakfast, lunch or dinner in. We took several tours around the Highlands, enjoyed good meals at restau...more
A great base to explore Dornoch and the wider area. The only negative was the lack of internet for part of the stay, but I appreciate that this was a long standing issue that several properties had with the provider.
We really enjoyed our stay at Meddat Farm Annex. It was immaculately clean, well furnished, lovely and cosy and lots of thought put in to making an enjoyable stay for the guests. Beautiful countryside surrounding the farm too made it an ideal stay
Apartment rented due to its proximity to the house we renovating in Banff, very comfortable, look forward to the return visit at Christmas.
Amazing lodge, peaceful and quiet, plenty of space for my little family of 6. Beautiful scenery. Cant wait to return.
The Bird's Eye View flat is a very comfortable accommodations for four people when staying in Dornoch. We loved our stay and the owners were very responsive to our needs and requests. There was great communication before and during the trip. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay on a trip to Dornoch.
Would thoroughly recommend a holiday in such a beautiful cottage and location Many thanks to Gael Holiday Homes for their help and attention to detail in every way .
Had a lovely stay here, very clean, well equipped kitchen, good location, lovely coastal walks on doorstep and lots of other beautiful beaches short drive away. Only the front garden for use (back door kept locked) so might be an issue for some dog owners, but it’s a very quiet street so wasn’t a problem.
Overall stay was excellent. The welcome pack could have been better - we have visited other properties, and the welcome packs have been well out together, with some wee extras; shelves in the ensuite for toiletries is a must, no dishwasher tablets available. It's the small details that count.
A great base for touring the Black Isle. Cottage was comfortable and in a peaceful location. We were able to relax.
Bowlins is a comfortable, warm and cosy cottage with an enclosed garden situated within easy reach of many mapped walks. There is a farm shop locally that can supply most of your shopping needs although the Spar shop mentioned in the cottage blurb on the website closed its doors to trading on 15 Feb 2023 while we were there. My husband and I always enjoy our stay here and we have already reserved dates for our next stay.
Great location, all rooms were of a good size. Fully enclosed garden so very dog safe. Would definitely return
We had a wonderful time at Nairn and the apartment was just what we needed. Plenty of space, everything we needed, cosy and spectacular views. It was within 20 minutes walking distance of town centre and was perfect for us.
When we arrived we were delighted with the location. In the town, yet secluded enough to feel that there were no other houses near. The house itself was tastefully decorated, warm and inviting. The rooms were a perfect size and the beds were really comfortable. It seems that EVERYTHING had been thought of - In the kitchen, there was a welcome card, a selection of basic essentials and everything necessary. We will certainly return and have been recommending Strathy to our friends.
Stunning flat . Very clean and comfortable stay . Everything you could possibly need is there for your stay
The house was ideal for our vacation walking distance to the beach, golf courses and general shopping. First class and would recommend.
All very pleased with this property which was cosy and clean .would think we would visit again without fear.
Accommodation was as advertised and no issues during stay, would recommend as a base if staying in Dornoch area
We wanted a relaxing week's break in a small place and having driven through Cromarty last year decided it would be a good place to do that. It was the perfect place. Seaview apartment was extremely cosy and comfortable and the owners had thought of everything you would need. Comfortable beds, excellent shower and very well equipped kitchen. We had a takeaway from Sutor Creek and had a meal at The Royal Hotel which was right next door, both were excellent. There is a very well stocked shop Cromarty Stores, (was amazed to find Vegan ice-cream and fresh pasta!) a Post Office, a bakery with...more
No more quaint bathroom. It has been beautifully replaced with a “shower room”, meaning the bathroom is tiled from top to bottom. Guest’s, six feet tall, can comfortably stand under a waterfall shower head. The other fixtures have also been replaced to a high standard and are easy to use.
Almost don’t want to give this accomodation 5 stars as want it to be a secret bolt hole when I want to get away ! Lovely flat in an ideal location .
Beautiful home, warm & welcoming, everything you need. Very comfortable bed. Lots of storage space to unpack. Excellent location. Been coming to Inverness yearly since 2016 & this is now our favourite accommodation. Will definitely stay again
all very lovely , warm and clean house. Nice walks around the area although we stayed mainly wrapped up warm with the log fire. All good , no complaints. And hopefully the christmas crackers were meant for us ! - our trip went with a bang!
Such a tranquil and quiet loch location. Completely private. The cabin was well-equipped with everything you might need. The bathroom seemed to have been updated relatively recently. The shower and the water pressure were really good. Close to the town of Brora which has pretty much everything you need, and a short drive to the stunning Loch Brora.
This was my second time to Flat 7 and I hope it won't be my last. It's location in Aviemore is ideal with safe parking in a car park around the back. I've been both times in Winter as a solo traveller and the flat has been perfect. It has everything you need and is plenty cosy with a nice open living area, fantastic kitchen too. I had some remote work to do and the internet was very good. Everything works and is as you would want it to be. The communication is great, you know where to go and what to do regarding key collection etc. You have to accept you are on a high street not a remote locat...more
Hot tub great , kitchen bathrooms clean although slight mould over one window. Sauna wasn’t working. Dust fluff some socks and an old lottery ticket found under the bed. Location great , heating great , all in all would stay again just few things need rectified.
This was a nice place to chill out. We loved it. It was so clean and welcoming. Loved that it had so many features/pictures on the wall making it seem like home
Arrived at 5.15.sub zero temperatures, house in total darkness and freezing cold inside. No one had bothered to put the heating on and going by the smell of the place , it hadn’t been on for ages. 7 degrees inside. Frantically looking for the heating switch which was in a cupboard. No instructions. Batteries dead in the thermostat. Had to take batteries from the tv remote control. Which we replaced the following day. Main lights in the kitchen didn’t work, Toilet in main bathroom blocked, water would rise up to the rim, thankfully there was another loo. Unpleasant smell down stairs. No t...more
We have stayed here a few times and each time we enjoy our time in this apartment. Siting room very comfortable and bed very comfy No complaints Would definitely recommend Mervyn and Daphne
Small ,but excellent accommodation ,with everything provided.Highlight was sea view from sitting room.
Great apartment the view was amazing had everything we needed...definitely book again..location was great...
Sonas House is a very well equipped and comfortable home from home. It's a 10 minute drive from central Inverness and also very convenient for day trips to the Black Isle and the west coast. The views from the house are wonderful and the only sounds you hear are the birds by the shore and sometimes the wind playing a tune on the roof. There are lots of interesting books, board games and DVDs, and any number of useful leaflets and maps for planning walks and day trips. We had a lovely time and have already booked our next stay.
Excellent accomodation perfect for a weekend break apartment absolutely spotless will definitely be using again
A little cosy for 6, and Wi-Fi could be better Great location and everything you would need provided. Would ata the delmnor location again
Clean, with comfortable beds. But minimally equipped, and inadequate heating system. It uses a heat pump, which is very noisy and only seemed to come on at night, so there was no heat during the day (not too much of a problem for us, but on colder days, it would have been). The water only ever got warm, not hot enough for a nice hot bath.
This is a very nice ground floor flat on the edge of the village. We have stayed here many times, it ticks all the boxes - it’s clean, it’s bright, it’s quiet, it’s well equipped and the beds are super comfy.
We have stayed here many times. The flat is great but needs a few things like dressing table and mirrors in the bedrooms. Recommendations we have made before. The TV is a smart TV but is very small. It is very clean but we had a couple of issues this stay. Quiet area with some shops at the other end of the estate. View of the mountains from the bedrooms. Kitchen has everything you need and a bottle of wine and shortbread was left for us which was a nice touch.
Comfort is -1 as mattresses little hard for me. Condition is -1 as1 blind needs work, some lamps out, 1 Toilet Roll Holder missing. Note:- All the bulbs are low energy type (which is good), But they are a little noisy and LED bulbs use less power and most are more attractive. The villa is in very good condition and even my comments above did not detract from our enjoyment. Note 2:- This is our 4th stay at this villa.
We had a excellent stay at 404 by the bridge apartment as we usually do.No hassle just perfect as it's been for the last 8 years.thankyou
Great stay -excellent location. Well equipped modern flat close to river ness and local walks as well as bus and train station.
This was our 3rd stay in this cottage. It is such a nice comfortable place to stay with everything you need. Would definitely recommend this cottage and Cromarty is a great place to stay.
Spent a couple of nights in Inverness after walking the West Highland Way. Very nice and clean apartment with a great location that made exploring the area easy. Very convenient to bus and train station and also entertainment and dining.
Beautifully situated property perched on the edge of the Atlantic. Wonderful picture window looking out to Skye. Absolutely everything you needed to self-cater was provided (the knives were even sharp!). Superb Wi-Fi connection to work remotely. Really enjoyed my time and solitude at Otterburn.
The appartment was clean, appliances ready and easy to use. It's not spacious but it was no issue for us as we spent all days out. We would suggest adding more dishes to the kitchen, especially plates and cups. Also there only were 4 dishwasher tablets for our 2 week stay, which was resolved later by the housekeeper. The location is great if you plan bus or train trips. No noise from roads, nice view to the river. Recommended!
Stayed here for 5 nights as a group of 6. 3 adults amd 3 kids. Master room comfortable for 2 adults. The remaining 2 rooms are small with a 4 ft 6 bed. Ideal for kids and teenagers but a squeeze if couples sharing these rooms. Ideal for one adult the smaller rooms. Great TV that allows you into your netflix or prime video accounts. Plenty of TV stations. Tesco's just around the corner. There is a super quick short cut beside the Kitchen Brassier restaurant to access Tescos. Couldn't be closer. Hairdressers down stairs called Ego which will do hair makeup for £48 if in Inverness for an ...more
The flat was comfortable and cosy. Just a few points - a few notes about operation of heating, bin types etc - a few basic utensils: wooden spoon, place mats for table, chopping board (non wood), ice cube tray was useless - lighting of kitchen area useless, Down lights under cabinets would be perfect! Tap top washer needs repaired - high pressure causes water all over kitchen! Seats in lounge were ok, but small and low, hence not comfortable for taller folk.
Great location, walking distance to town. Secure garden for dogs. Comfortable beds, good modern kitchen.
Lovely cottage. It had exceptional touches left for us on arrival tea, coffee, milk, wine and beer. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. Beds and living area are all comfortable and very clean. I would highly recommend black rock cottage.
Great location and as we arrived late the light was left on and the door open, thank goodness, it was extremely dark and the skies were amazing. Good base to see Wester Ross, the house had all that we needed, however, could have been so much better.
Wardrobe needed And small welcome pack of kitchen cleaning products would have helpful. Otherwise very good lodge
While all very acceptable we felt the lodge was commercial and lacked personality Little touches perhaps by a female hand and more thought about the users comfort could improve the experience A welcome pack could improve arrival as would details like salt and pepper etc Overall a good value property
The house was beautiful, in a stunning location, it was a 15-20 minute drive away from local amenities. The upstairs rooms were very nice, the downstairs rooms were comfortable but quite snug for 2 to a room. The owner was friendly and accommodating. I have never experienced midges before… definitely got to meet some on this trip.. and a few ticks too, didn’t realise the highlands are notorious for these creatures! Overall, a wonderful experience and lovely house, with plenty of entertainment for the kids too!
Ideal location for visiting the Inverness area. The property was clean and tidy although as a self catering unit would expect some tins to cook in the oven. Also the wooden floor in the lounge is very cold, a rug (as in your pictures) would have been nice.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Armadale House in Portmahamock. ............................................................................................................
Booking and self check-in easy with no issues. Property is located in a quiet residential area with retail parks a short distance away. Kitchen equipped as described on website. Overall good value for money and would book again.
An interesting property architecturally and in a beautiful location - very atmospheric. The owner, Justin, was extremely helpful in response to questions and suggested local points of interest. Ideal as a comfy base from which to explore the many walking routes in the area. We enjoyed it there so much that we are planning a return visit next year.
Lovely location & lovely house. Village has everything shop, excellent hairdresser & pub. If the house sleeps 5 then there should be enough for 5. Kitchen equipment insufficient & plateware nothing matched. Housekeeping questionable previous guests food and other belongings left.
There were a few issues which, on return, were fed back to Gael - a couple of which were unacceptable in a property rented out weekly - no heating at all in bedrooms and our stay was over a very cold Hogmanay weekend, clumps of hair in the plughole in shared shower room upstairs. This information was passed on to owner along with a few other minor issues and there has been no contact whatsoever. Very disappointed at lack of acknowledgement. As long as these issues are addressed in future I would still recommend a stay - location perfect and very roomy and well equipped.
