This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Hayloft, in a semi-rural setting but with very easy and rapid access to Inverness and surrounds. The accommodation is attached to the main house but completely separate and with private access, allowing the host to be attentive if needed, but unobtrusive. It is tastefully decorated and beautifully appointed, containing everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped for self-catering. Spotlessly clean, quiet, with a lovely outlook over the private garden and the hills beyond. Thoroughly recommended!
A great house in an ideal location. Close to the centre of town, near enough to the main road and a good start for a lovely walk to the beach or Golf Course. Fantastic base for a visit to this lovely area.
Dell View Cottage surpassed all our expectations - it was immaculate throughout, with an extremely well stocked kitchen, very comfortable couches and beds and a powerful shower. The lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers were much appreciated and our young son was delighted with his king size bed. All rooms are really spacious and bright and have generous amounts of storage. The outdoor seating area is private and the views from the lounge are lovely. Despite the fact that it is less than 10 minutes walk from Inshes Retail Park you can hardly hear any traffic noise inside the house. We r...more
Stunning apartment, very friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to find last minute accommodation for me.
Heath Cottage is clean, warm, comfortable and dog friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are really comfy and made up with high quality pillows, duvets and linen. The garden is safe and secure for dogs and gives direct access to the forest beyond with miles of walks. The Boat of Garten is convenient for exploring the Cairngorm area but also has 2 great local shops and the local hotel is dog friendly and has good food. We didn't realise that Heath Cottage is semi-detached but we had no-one staying in either neighbouring houses and so it was very quiet. We look forward to retur...more
The location of Ardshellach is wonderful: a peaceful and beautiful spot with fabulous views and yet by no means isolated. There are neighbours - and the ones we met were very friendly - but, from the main windows, you can see not a single building, even in the distance. There are shops, pubs and restaurants within 2-3 miles and Oban is about 20 minutes away - everything you need can be found there. The area is full of things to do and places to visit and the house contains full information about them all, in the form of a helpful pair of files compiled by the owner and previous guests, as w...more
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Harbour View. The view from the lounge window is stunning and the ever changing light on the sky and water was just beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Cromarty is a really lovely place and the locals are friendly and welcoming. There’s a lot to see and do from walking along the beach and headlands to wandering around the town and its shops. Don’t miss the Cheese Shop and Ingrid’s House!
We stayed in Oran Mor for a week. The location is incredible, and the house is dog friendly. The house is beautiful with a nice open plan kitchen and living area. The location is great, there are many wonderful walks withing 5-10 minutes drive of the house. Highly recommend and we would love to return.
Banff may be a little sleepy place somewhat off the beaten track, but if you make this your base for a Scotland trip, we doubt that you can find a better place to stay than at the Granary. Apartment 8 was spacious and well equipped with pretty much everything you needed at any occasion - oddly squeezed in between the cemetery, the police station and the constantly changing seashore. Please go a little lighter on all the artificial scent sticks placed everywhere - those are terrible if you're allergic to chemical scents. But otherwise only good things to be said.
This was our 7th visit to Craobhan Cottage, but our first in the summer. Given the frequency of our visits, it's clear we really like the place: it's our second home. The location is beautiful: relatively isolated, but handy enough for Dingwall, Inverness and the delights of the Black Isle. The cottage has everything the visitor could wish for, and the hosts are the most hospitable people you could meet. The only negative aspect of our stay was the wet weather, though that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.
Woodlands' caravan is situated in a peaceful location which was ideal for us and our dog. Norma and Brian are excellent hosts, we arrived to find a very generous welcome pack we have never received before when hiring a caravan. The outside space including the closed decking was great for keeping the dog from straying too far. They have thought of everything that you could possibly need. No need to worry if your forget any 'essentials' when you arrive, it's all provided. The caravan was spotlessly clean, everything we wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to all.
Drumbuie Lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. I took along a few extra household items that I knew I would need over the holidays but there was really no need, the kitchen has all the appliances you could possibly need, the dishwasher and washer dryer were very handy. I’ve got to say that this is the best we have ever slept while on holiday, my husband usually doesn’t sleep well when not at home but the beds where very comfortable. The log burner was great, heating the whole lodge if you kept the room doors open (logs are easily purchased in Beauly from the hardware shop, the...more
We enjoyed a lovely week in this comfortable, cosy, well equipped house. Everything thought of including welcome starter pack. We love Dornoch and have been coming here and to Embo for many, many years. Already planning our next visit.
A spacious, well equipped and comfortable appartment in which we felt like home. The apartment has been tastefully renovated and equipped with high-quality furniture and an excellent kitchen. Communication with the landlord (Claire) was easy and well organized. The communication with the landlady (Claire) was easy and well organized. The city center is within walking distance and Inverness is an excellent base for various trips to the Highlands to Loch Ness etc. Among the numerous holiday homes which we rented over the years, Breavellie in Inverness is certainly among the top 10 and I can onl...more
Super!
Thoroughly recommend, house was spotless and had everything you needed to facilitate a lovely break, from all cooking utensils to a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Location was also spot on, and overall ten out of ten - very happy!
stunning views to Loch Ruthven and the highlands, mushrooms close to the cabin and a cosy log cabin with all comfort you need. All that provided by Carol, who makes it an inviting home.
We had a very nice stay at Maple Cottage! The Appartment is equipped with everything one might need and has a great view from the balcony over the beautiful landscape. Brian and Aisla know how to make their guests welcome, there was a pint of milk in the fridge and some sweets and tea and coffee for the first days.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
Met and exceeded all of our high expectations. For us the perfect property in the perfect location and in immaculate condition. Would love to re-visit again.
We had a great stay in Aviemore. The property was comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had great views. Nice quiet location makes it ideal for families.
We just loved everything about Harbour View - from the delicious toffee cake that was waiting for us when we arrived to the enormous, comfortable bed in the master bedroom. The house is so well-equipped that you can have a relaxing holiday in the beautiful village of Cromarty knowing you have all you need at hand. The harbour view room is beautiful and the view out over Cromarty Firth is amazing. We'll definitely be back.
This is a great apartment. It is spotlessly clean & very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped ( as is the rest of the apartment ) & there is a good sized shower room /toilet upstairs plus additional toilet facilities down stairs. The bedroom is a a decent size with a very comfortable bed & good storage space. Ideally situated, just five minutes walk from the city centre . As it is extremely close to Tesco's we thought it would be noisy but it was a very quite location, especially at night. The parking permit was a bonus too as we were able to park the car outside of the property & could keep an ...more
Three of us travelled up to Dornoch for a week of golf. We were greeted with an immaculately clean house with clean bedding and towels. Use of the washing machine, dishwasher and sky television were fantastic and much appreciated. We will be looking to book here again
Good location in Inverness to visit the area and to take some rest before going to more out of the beaten tracks areas. We enjoyed the comfort of the aparment and it’s equipment.
Excellent location for visiting Inverness, the Black Isle and further beyond if desired. Good eating places nearby and provision shops within easy reach also. The house was well stocked and equipped with everything you need, and more. Highly recommended.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
We have stayed at nethy bridge many times,Bowins was ideally situated for the village shop bar and resteraunt, the house itself is very well equipped with every thing you could need .the house was very clean with comfortable beds and furniture, the bathrooms were also excellent.we enjoyed visiting relatives and all the usual activities including walking with our dogs relaxing and our usual great day at the abernethy highland games without doubt the best house we have stayed in.
Very well equipped and thoughtfully put together holiday home. Extremely comfortable throughout lots of nice little touches like fresh flowers, coffee pod machine, scented candles and nice Scottish toiletries - great kitchen facilities which meant you could cook properly if you wanted to. Wood burner great to relax by and beds wonderfully comfortable. Met our hosts at the house - couldn’t have been nicer and also ate very well at their restaurant in Dornoch - Luigis highly recommend this property and the hosts - make sure you book a table as they are a very popular choice in the town. I previously stayed here last June and found it so convenient that it was my first choice for my return trip this year. Centrally located and close to restaurants and shops. Also close to the river with its beautiful and restful walks.
VERY NICE LOG CABIN PERFECT FOR US WITH OUR 3 BORDER COLLIES, SANDY BEACHES JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY DOGS HAD A GREAT TIME
Great house in a superb location. Very modern and large enclosed garden is great for kids. We’ve already booked for next year!
Thoroughly enjoyed our week staying in Achnacarry Cottage. The cottage has everything you could ever need in a holiday home, very clean and comfortable and it's location was ideal for us, close to a lovely forest walk and two minutes in the car from Dornoch town centre. We both enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with our morning coffee watching all the different types of wildlife and birds and the view across to Tain. Would definitely recommend it for people looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
From the warm and respectful welcome ,our host Anne and Donald, and the small touches (fresh home made scones) ,we knew we had chosen quality accommodation. The bungalow is well appointed through out and spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is in a rural location but large supermarkets and restraints are easily accessable and the city of Inverness is only 15 minutes away by car.The owners have a working croft. During our stay, Donald made our visiting relatives from Austraila very welcome, and provided boots to take them all down to see the new lambs and other animals.. The large lounge is...more
The cottage was clean and well prepared. The guest information folder was comprehensive and clearly written and lots of tourist information of the locality provided for our information. The guest well-coming pack was very tasty, thank you.
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
Very comfortable home with beautiful views in an excellent location. Loved the balcony and watching ospreys, barn owls, deer. Thank you for the welcome pack of milk, bread, bacon, eggs, fruit and biscuits.
We have stayed in all the apartments in the Square over the years, and all are of high standard. Only problem is the stairs up one flight to 1st level and a further set of stairs to top level. Can get a bit tedious. However self catering accommodation in Dornoch is at a premium, and last minute breaks are difficult to obtain. Plus costs are now fairly high due to demand. We enjoy Dornoch for a leisurely break and the apartment is modern , comfortable and centrally placed.
We stayed at 7 Grampian Road when we competed in the Glenmore 24 trail race - and it was absolutely the most perfect base for us. The kitchen was well equipped and a joy to cook in. The beds were soooo comfy and just the ticket for tired runners after the race. The sitting room was perfect for relaxing in, eating and chatting. And the flat was brilliantly located for stocking up on supplies and for grabbing a bite. Plenty of parking too so not too far to walk on sore feet!! Loved it and can’t recommend the flat highly enough. Hope to return with my family for a more chilled out weekend soon. T...more
Lovely cottage with a great location for all the activities in the Dornoch area. It looked just like the pictures. Among the many nice features was a well equipped kitchen. I would recommend that friends and family stay here.
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This apartment is located a short walk from many restaurants, shops and the river. It is very very homey and comfortable. We stayed three nights and would have been happy to have stayed longer.
Stylish, comfortable, well-looked after by owners. Good location in centre of village. Plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.
Well equipped , superclean apartment near main area of Inverness. Walking distance to everything. Excellent communication . Easy checkin.
We found the apartment very convenient for the town centre and for the ring-road taking one further afield. There is a walled area around the building with allocated parking space; a quiet location which is easy to find. Scott was particularly helpful and thoughtful.
We were due to stay in Cromarty, but the booking was changed and to be honest, I think that it was for the best. So long as you could get past the fact that there were public toilets across the road, and that said road was busy, the Chandlery was perfect in every sense. The view was of the Moray Firth, not old decommissioned oil rigs as was in Cromarty. There were more shops, pubs & things to do than in Avoch, but the apartment more than made up for it. It is comfortable, well placed and well equipped. There is all & more to make your holiday enjoyable.
Lovely cottage very comfortable, getting milk bread, cake and shortbread was a lovely touch ,excellent location for hotel shop, and bus service, a great place to relax and unwind ,will certainly be back.
The accommodation is new and in excellent condition. There is a small closed off garden for the dog. It’s a great cottage to use as a base for things to do in the area. It needs towel rails in the bathrooms, but we cannot fault it in any other way.
Good area for watching wildlife, which was the purpose of our journey. Comfortable property with all the things you need, handy location too.
A largish property - 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with a spacious open plan, kitchen, dining and sitting area. It is well equipped and has a table tennis table in the garage area and a couple of bikes for guests use. It is in a quiet, very rural location - a beautiful spot. We have stayed here a few times and will probably stay there again in the future.
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Have stayed here before, lovely apartment, very comfortable. We take a car & 2 motorbikes so plenty of parking too.
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. The place is warm and is situated in a surprisingly quiet street not too far from the A9 and easy to find. Each day we were able to get a parking spot in the street either right outside or quite near the apartment. It is well located and so is just a short walk from shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc on both sides of the River Ness. It had all the faciities we needed (e.g. laundry, cooker, etc) and was very comfortable. The price was very reasonabe too. Heating: the centr...more
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, the home is in a great location with off street parking. I felt completely at home walking in. It was warm and inviting, extremely clean and has great amenities. I would gladly stay again
This is the second time we have stayed at 208. The property is located in heart of Inverness ,the management sent out all required information. The unit is cleaned to a very high standard. Even with double glazing the noise still made it hard to sleep. The unit need maintenance ,the curtains and various other items. Needs TV in bedroom and lights above mirrors
Excellent stay, business stay very close to the hospital. Very clean nice apartment. Drains slightly smelly when first walked in but after couple of days was ok.
We had a delightful stay in Margaret Street. The house is in a quiet location and is ideally placed for visiting our daughter nearby. The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and generously supplied with towels and hand wash etc. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was much appreciated, as we were self catering most of the time. The house includes a large outdoor area and also a comfy sitting room. We would unhesitatingly recommend it as a place to stay when visiting this beautiful part of Scotland.
A spacious suite that was well equipped. The location was very good for walking to the downtown and river walk.
We rented the property after many years staying in another property in Dornoch but is no longer available for holidays. I was concerned about the size as we were used to a much larger property, however this is more than big enough for our family. Ann across the road was so welcoming to us and our Dog. The weather was lovely and the duvet in the main room was a bit too warm and we asked Ann if we could have a sheet and blanket and she gave us this very quickly. Amazing stay will be back.
Enjoyed my stay at this apartment, Good Facilities, it has all the essentials you require. my only complaint is there was no operating instruction for the ceramic hob.
This would have been a 5 star review if it had not been for the bed in the master bedroom! It was really, really, uncomfortable as the wooden base creaks and crunches when you move an inch. The noise kept waking us up and we had very bad sleeps for the 3 nights we were there. I looked back on previous reviews and noticed that this had been mentioned previously and these comments have obviously been ignored. Why ask for feedback if you don’t do anything about it? Get a new base for the bed and you will have some very happy clients.
Comforttable flat with a wonderful view to the sea. Perfekt equippt kitchen and a quite neigherhood.
The apartment is modern and contemporary. It is nicely decorated with good furniture. The are nice views of the castle. There are shops, bars and restaurants in the near location. It is bright and clean with good equipment. It has excellent parking underground. A very nice place to stay. It has the feel of luxury. However, the noise from the bars and clubs below and adjacent to the building in the early hours last until 3am on Saturday and Sunday morning. The beat of the music tends to reverberate throughout the building. The matress on the bed was poor and thin. It was uncomforta...more
Was a bit further from the town than we thought but managed to get taxis most of the time. Restaurant a few hundred yards away. Booked here for Thunder in the Glens and would book again if going for a family holiday.
Very nicely presented apartment in a central location close to everything you might need. Lots of little shops and eateries close by. Only negative is the millions of emails and phonecalls I received from 'gael holiday homes' regarding every aspect of our booking - I think I got a total of 7 emails and 4 phonecalls regarding very aspects of the booking process. Could this not have been sorted in 1 or 2 emails?
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is not our 1st at Sunnybank and we’ve booked for next year. Comfortable and perfect location for us golfers.
Great place to stay if you like being close to the beaches. We were 2 adults, a 14 year old and 1 dog and found Beach View very comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious for our needs. Kitchen nicely equipped although no tumble dryer. Lovely views of the Moray Firth and links, which was being transformed by the arrival of the shows/funfair, so lots of interest to see out the window. Weather was not as good as usual, but it would be easy to not take the car anywhere on a sunny week as the beaches provide all you need for a great holiday. Nice garden and a shed with lots of beach 'toys. We've s...more
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely weekend in this comfortable, clean apartment. We were attending wedding, and were just across road from hotel and church and in easy walking distance of all shops and lovely walks down Ness bank. Bought a lovely Sunday dinner from m&s, only thing we missed was salt&pepper, would have been nice if provided . Lovely dishes to serve it on and everything else I needed for cooking. Owners were very friendly & helpful.
Holmes cottage was perfect. It was clean, cozy, comfy beds. Close to the Plough, the Spar, the beach. No complaints. I loved the fireplaces. Would stay there again.
Lovely place to stay, immaculate accommodation, would stay again, lisa the owner was very helpful snd i shall be booking again in the near future
Very nice, compact apartment in great location for walking to everything in town. Only improvement would be clearer instructions on opening and closing the finicky door lock.
This is a comfortable, well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Lots of information provided on the local area.
We absolutely loved staying at The Old Manse. The house is full of character, the location is peaceful and beautiful
I had a very good time in this apartment. Just a little problem with the keys at the beginning. All was perfect.
My husband and I have visited Gael Cham on previous holidays in Aviemore and we were always delighted with this chalet. It was immaculate. The location is great and the views from the window amazing. However on our recent visit we were disappointed. The double bed mattress was so uncomfortable that neither of us could sleep and the sheets whilst very clean , hadn’t been ironed. We wanted a cup of tea when we arrived . No milk jug and a variety of 6 teaspoons all different from plastic to metal .We found a dirty pot when we went to make our lunch. The main toilet didn’t flush properly so we use...more
the house was good but to far away from pub and a sore walk back to it yes every thing was fine. would use this house again.
Ivydene has plenty of space for a large group to cook and eat together but it is getting a little tired and in need of some attention to make it really comfortable. It would be so lovely if the yard was paved and decorated with colourful pots and plants - the current stony finish is a little unfriendly and very uncomfortable to walk on. A paved yard would also give a better space for little ones to play out.
This is our second stay at this venue and apart from minor niggles about a dodgy kitchen tap and a lack of on site info about bin collection days, the venue is excellent, well laid out and offers a quiet private retreat with good disabled access.
Nice property, great location especially if you have a car. Good base for Cairngorms, nature reserves, etc. Red Squirrel visited garden, deer outside garden. Fairly close to local shops, etc. Would definitely go again if we visit Highlands.
I should really give this place a poor ref .. so it's stays a secret gem !! But I can't because it is !! Stayed lots now .Never disappointed !!
We enjoyed our stay in 7 Westercraigs, which was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. A couple of minor improvements could be made in that one of the place mats was worn, a pan was not clean and there was no pot scrubber to clean it with. Apart from those minor points the Apartment was perfect with a nice walk down to the canal nearby.
Absolutely immaculate property. Very spacious and modern. Beds super comfy and the hot tub is crystal clear. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
We were very comfortable. It is in a quiet location with excellent bus service to and from the city. No 4 stops right outside and No 3 goes from the bottom of the road. The facilities in the apartment were excellent although the hot water supply to the kitchen sink is barely adequate, especially as there is no dishwasher. It half fills a bowl with hot water at one time. We had some great days out including travelling the famous Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh railway, the Botanic Garden and a boat trip on the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. All highly recommended.
I stayed 3 nights with elderly family this house was ideal access was easy, there were a couple of steps however they were very easy to climb for the slightly less able in the party. The living area and bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was outstanding for a rental property with everything you could possibly need and more.
A comfortable, well equipped house with a lovely master bedroom and splendid views over the roof tops of St Monans, to the harbour. Struggled with spiral stairs at first, especially taking a cup of tea from the kitchen up to the lounge or to bedrooms on further 2 floors, felt like living in a lighthouse, but got used to it! Parking for one car on frontage, usually room for more cars on the road. Good heating, under your control, plenty of hot water. My favourite part of the house was the master bedroom.
Kitchen esp fridge freezer and oven not good cleanliness. Bed and living room seating very uncomfortable. Garden a mess.
The apartment is a good base for exploring the Highlands. It's located near to the city centre and it has all the things you need for your stay. The apartment is in good condition despite the usage.
although we had a good holiday we found some faults with the cabin no bedding in single room broken blind on kitchen door no bulb in bedside lamp in single room faulty wiring on one bedside lamp in double bedroom bathroom door would not shut crack in a plate which had been glued and was not use kettle lid would not shut so water boiled over if you did not watch it fire in living room did not work although portable heater was provided
Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
The apartment is very well is very spacious and is located in a very nice and quiet area with parking next to the door and five minutes from the center of Inverness. I have to say that the cleanliness of the apartment was clearly poor and the bedding and towels insufficient in my opinion.
