We’ve just returned from our stay at Croftness Cottage over the Christmas week and it’s safe to say that neither of us wanted to leave. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location just above the town of Aberfeldy but only a 10 minute walk to the centre, where you can either get something to eat and drink or buy essentials at the Co-Op. Our favourites are the Habitat Cafe in the square, who do a fantastic burger and also MacDonald Brothers Butchers who sell great venison pies. The cottage itself retains its original charm but has been tastefully modernised to make it extremely comfortable a...more
Fabulous, spotlessly clean high standard of accommodation. The kitchen/living area is spacious and very well equipped with everything that you need and the upside down layout means that you have excellent views of Loch Tay and Kenmore. The bedrooms are also spacious with comfortable beds. I loved the Scottish art work and interior design too. I loved the "dog box" with essentials that you might have forgotten like doggy shampoo, tick removers - thankfully we didn't have to use. As regular visitors to Kenmore we are pleased to have discovered Soarsa and hope to return again, I'd highly reco...more
From start to finish, the wee cosy nook was perfect for us for our honeymoon; a little bit of luxury, beautifully situated and tranquil. The owners were charming, friendly and welcoming. Between the garden and views we were surrounded by beauty.. We love being in countryside and walking in woodland. The wee cosy nook was perfectly placed for both. The accommodation itself was quite luxurious. The kitchen was well furnished. The bathroom was great, with good quality towels and bath robes. The bedroom was spacious and well decorated and the sitting area was comfortable. We loved it so much ...more
Ben Lawers provides the most idyllic holiday home you could wish for. High standard of interior comfort and decor is only surpassed by the most spectacular views of the loch and surrounding countryside.
We had a lovely stay at Tarmachan. The quality of accommodation was superb and was complete with lots of extras that made our stay most comfortable and made us feel at home. Being down by the loch was just lovely and we had the added bonus of watching red deer a couple of fields away from our balcony. We truly had a wonderful time and hope to be back in the not too distant future.
Beautiful cottage at a fantastic location. Couldn't fault this little gem of a place. Highly recommend.
Upsides: Stunning view from lounge window, kitchen well equipped Bathrooms clean and well equipped Plenty of DVDs, books and games Lovely and quiet Great customer service from Perthshire Holiday Homes Room for improvement: Too little space for storing food TV needs updating really Sofas a bit low
This house was a gem of a find. We needed to accommodate 7 family members in total to celebrate myself and my wife's joint 70th birthdays. We couldn't have asked for a better home and location and the time spent in these beautiful surroundings have given us many treasured memories. We all loved the well proportioned rooms, the views and the gardens. The grandchildren particularly enjoyed finding all the different areas outside and watching the different birds at the feeding station. It never felt like rented accommodation, more like a friend's house and the log fire in the evening was anoth...more
We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic house. Views were stunning and house had everything we could need to help us relax and live home from home. We will be back!
As said in the title... every detail had been thought of with state of the art heating and welcoming homemade biscuits and tea/coffee/milk waiting for your arrival. Fabulously hot water and the whole place spotless with fluffy towels and bath robes to mention just a detail. A lovely helpful gentleman, Atholl, to assist with internet connection living next door. Thank you Highland Cottages for a wonderful stay!
Fabulous house that was extremely well equipped with a lovely hot tub. We loved the views from the back of the house and the only slight negative was we did not realise how close it was to the main road. Although there was some road noise this did not impact our great stay, we all loved the house and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
This is our second year at Aodin and we were unsure if the house would be to the same standard but we shouldn't have worried, there were additional tables and a better kitchen layout. The house is stunning, setting breathtaking and very private, The enclosed garden is ideal for pets, children and grown ups alike, Love it, it may be our 'once a year' House, Well looked after too by Angela at Highlland Perthshire
Our trip to Kenmore was enhanced by our stay at the River View Cottage. All the amenities and comfort we needed for a great weekend with friends.
Stayed in crown apartment for 4 weeks, it is well equipped and very comfortable, clean owners helpful
Bay Tree cottage is a great get-away cottage, rural but easily accessible to the interesting town of Dunkeld, the A9 and numerous walking opportunities. There is a good sized kitchen/dining area and 2 sitting rooms. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a pretty garden with options for outside eating and straight out of door options for dog walking. The steps down from the lane into the back garden and the bathroom are fine for active oldies but could be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. There are plenty of options for eating locally in Dunkeld...more
