We have visited the Perthshire area for over a decade and stayed in some lovely holiday houses but we have never stayed anywhere as beautiful as this house! Everything about it, inside and out is to the highest standard. The whole house was sparkling clean when we arrived. In our opinion the owners have thought of every last detail to make the perfect holiday home. As a family with two young children we do a lot of cooking and washing while we are on holiday. This was not a chore in The Longhouse as they had a great selection of good quality cooking utensils, a fabulous range cooker and plen...more
Another lovely stay at The Stables. It’s such a beautiful home and a great place to escape for a few days. Will be back soon!
Our family had a great stay in Tullichuil. The wind was blowing a gale and we had blizzards but the house was always warm (thanks to an Aga), clean and very quiet.
We really enjoyed the week. Beautiful location and beautiful house. It was windy and rainiy but that didn't distract us from spending a comfortable week catching up with reading and wildlife spotting,
Myself and my partner booked here for a few days over christmas and we completely loved it. It is beautifully furnished, and the bed is particularly comfortable. Better than my own house! It is near the owners' house, but a completely detached building. The owners themselves are lovely people who even invited us to their house - however they also completely respected our privacy. Renting in winter, we found it to be very well insulated - it's most definitely cosy, as described. Also it's not as far into Aberfeldy as it appears on Google maps, because there is a footbridge over the river, so we...more
We’re just back from a fabulous stay in Mo Dachaidh. It was so comfortable, great furnishings, lovely warm spacious house, comfy beds and wonderful gardens. We really liked the location and gorgeous colours on the hills surrounding the house. The garage was great for our bikes and the large utility room was such a boost to deal with our wet or muddy kit. Would definitely recommend it for active families or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
We stayed last weekend, 2 couples, 2 kids and 2 dogs and everyone loved the house. I was slightly concerned when I first saw the road but it was worth it when we reached the house. We spent the days at Aberfeldy, Kenmore and walked the Forest Walk at Weem (Castle Menzies), then home to a lovely cosy fire and chill out. Lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs nearby. The house was so big there was space for everyone to have their own wing! The kids (age 9) loved playing hide and seek inside and out, they were exploring, had named the cows, so great to see them outside and not on tablets (a we...more
We stayed at Craigard around Christmas. The house was nicely decorated at arrival. It has all the comfort you need, multiple bathrooms, well equipped kitchen etc. From the living room and balcony you have stunning views. The surroundings are beautiful, we visited Port William, Gasgow, a whisky distrillery, took walks, and did a highland safari. For those activities you definitely need a car.
We stayed at River View Cottage for just over three weeks while working in the Kenmore area, it was perfect for what we needed, comfortable, clean and well-equiped. Thank you so much to Amanda and her team for making our stay as enjoyable as possible (while working...).
House is fantastic with everything you could look for. Location is great with a 15 minute walk into Aberfeldy, 2 minute walk to nearest hotel for food and drinks and some great walks just behind the house.
Bay Tree cottage is a great get-away cottage, rural but easily accessible to the interesting town of Dunkeld, the A9 and numerous walking opportunities. There is a good sized kitchen/dining area and 2 sitting rooms. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a pretty garden with options for outside eating and straight out of door options for dog walking. The steps down from the lane into the back garden and the bathroom are fine for active oldies but could be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. There are plenty of options for eating locally in Dunkeld...more
