This is a place we will return to again and again. It’s 10 mins from dunkeld and set in an elevated position with walks from the door. The house itself is very well furnished with quality fittings and great beds. The kitchen is also set up for those that want to cook. Wifi is good and the TVs have Netflix etc . The lounge doors open onto a deck which is a great open air space. The owners left food basics in the kitchen which was very much appreciated. The house is so warm and comfortable we did not want to leave. Owners are helpful and personable. The track leading up to the house is not ...more
Another fabulous family holiday at Ben Lawers the house is wonderful being modern and comfortable with such a stunning view of Loch Tay that brought us joy every day. Great location for a real variety of walks, and close to Kenmore and Aberfeldy for food, drinks, shopping.
The Wee Cosy Nook was certainly cosy, during our late Autumn stay. But not so Wee! The cottage is spacious and well furnished and equipped. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the cottage was beautifully presented. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels foraging in the garden, and the lovely view of the River Tay. The Wee Cosy Nook is perfectly placed to explore beautiful Perthshire and beyond. If you want to stay local, there are lovely walks from the door- Aberfeldy is a short walk away and there are woodland and hill walks nearby. Perfect!
We really enjoyed our short stay at Ballencrieff House. It's a beautiful house with a lovely, cosy atmosphere and very user friendly. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, with a welcoming tray on the kitchen table and the Aga providing warmth and endless cups of tea for the duration of our stay. I really hope we can come back soon.
Excellent self catering holiday accomodation. Location is perfect for seeing Perthshire. Recommended.
Home from home. We were delighted with this house and would highly recommend it to anybody wanting to stay in this area.
Booking was very easy as was entry to the house via the code box containing the key . We arrived at 6:00 pm in September in Scotland so it was great to be welcomed by the heating already on! The house is stunning. From the open outlook with large glass frontage to the breathtaking views of Loch Tay. The condition of the house was perfect . The cleanliness outstanding . The kitchen had everything required . The beds were comfortable . We will certainly be booking again.
A beautifully designed house, the furnishings are luxurious. And a fantastic location for a holiday.
We took our labrador, Shane with us to get away from the fireworks. It was so peaceful and we never heard a sound. The cottage itself was just perfect and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and was presented to a high standard. Thanks to Angela who made the booking process easy and run smoothly and was very helpful when answering any queries we had. We will definitely return for another stay.
The situation of the property is outstanding. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. We had a real sense of freedom staying in a very attractive part of the world. The properly was ideally placed for exploring the surrounding area. It was lovely to see an abundance of wildlife on our doorstep and to be able to walk from the property. The property was very comfortable and clean. Our only disappointment was that the wood burner could not be used. That was disappointing since the autumnal nights were cool, it would have been the icing on the cake for us to sit at a real fire. That said, we wer...more
Lovely short break staying here. Property was in a perfect location with lovely walks right on the door step. Property itself had all the charm and quirks you would expect for an older property. The kitchen Aga was heaven to return to every day. Lovely views to wake up to every day.
We felt the house was in a really excellent location and would definitely look to book here again. A couple of things that could be done better if we are honest - to be asked to strip the bed linen is a bit odd, given that we basically missed a full day of being in the house due to covid restrictions, so would have thought the 8.5 hours would have been suffice for a cleaning company to clean the place and strip the beds. It wasn’t spotless. There were marks on the bathroom floor in one of the bedrooms, the double bedroom at the front of the house smelt slightly of damp on arrival. C...more
Great location, beautiful setting. Cottage is on 3 floors, which is not clear from website, but which suited our family needs. Dogs welcome with a welcome basket provided, access to waste ground and riverside walks straight from back of cottage, again great for us with our dog! Fairly well kitted out, just a few wee maintenance issues which we expected could have been seen to considering it must have been closed.for a.while. Not enough mugs! Some chipped and a set of ugly thick ones! But otherwise yes good and we would go back.
Bay Tree cottage is a great get-away cottage, rural but easily accessible to the interesting town of Dunkeld, the A9 and numerous walking opportunities. There is a good sized kitchen/dining area and 2 sitting rooms. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a pretty garden with options for outside eating and straight out of door options for dog walking. The steps down from the lane into the back garden and the bathroom are fine for active oldies but could be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. There are plenty of options for eating locally in Dunkeld...more
