We had a wonderful stay at The Stables. The house is stunning and has everything that you could possibly need. The house is set in rolling countryside, yet still close enough to the lovely village of Dunkeld. Loads of country walks and beautiful scenery. Suzanne was a great host. We loved the extra little touches, fresh eggs and cookies. We will definitely be back for another stay and would thoroughly recommend staying at The Stables. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’ve just returned from our stay at Croftness Cottage over the Christmas week and it’s safe to say that neither of us wanted to leave. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location just above the town of Aberfeldy but only a 10 minute walk to the centre, where you can either get something to eat and drink or buy essentials at the Co-Op. Our favourites are the Habitat Cafe in the square, who do a fantastic burger and also MacDonald Brothers Butchers who sell great venison pies. The cottage itself retains its original charm but has been tastefully modernised to make it extremely comfortable a...more
Fabulous, spotlessly clean high standard of accommodation. The kitchen/living area is spacious and very well equipped with everything that you need and the upside down layout means that you have excellent views of Loch Tay and Kenmore. The bedrooms are also spacious with comfortable beds. I loved the Scottish art work and interior design too. I loved the "dog box" with essentials that you might have forgotten like doggy shampoo, tick removers - thankfully we didn't have to use. As regular visitors to Kenmore we are pleased to have discovered Soarsa and hope to return again, I'd highly reco...more
We had a lovely holiday ,location is great you can walk into Aberfeldy in 10 mins. The cottage is amazing with everything that you could possibly need. The hosts are very friendly & I would highly recommend this cottage.
Wonderful location on a beautiful valley with tremendous views over to Schiehallion. House is great.
Our stay started and finished with the outstanding views of Loch Tay, the accommodation was of a very good standard very clean and with everything you would need for your stay. The area is very scenic for walkers, cyclists and general car touring. You will need transport for shopping ect but Kenmore (approx. 3 miles) does have a Spar/Post Office and Mains Court Yard which also has a bar/restaurant, together with Kenmore Hotel
Sit back and relax. You could never be disappointed with this property. Fantastic facilities.. lovely view.. everything to a high spec.. and excellent value. We loved it. Brill location. This is 9.5 out of 10
Beautiful cottage at a fantastic location. Couldn't fault this little gem of a place. Highly recommend.
Craigard is an exceptional house in an exceptional location. It is located in the village of Fearnan which is centrally located in the Perthshire Highlands. The house itself is located on the main road from Kenmore to Killin, which is a lightly busy road during the day. However, this does not distract from the experience nor the glorious views across and along Loch Tay. To access pebble beach and wooden causeway on the Loch you must cross the road. Within the house the furnishings and utilities are very good. The house has many tall windows which make the upstairs bright and welcoming. The ba...more
Upsides: Stunning view from lounge window, kitchen well equipped Bathrooms clean and well equipped Plenty of DVDs, books and games Lovely and quiet Great customer service from Perthshire Holiday Homes Room for improvement: Too little space for storing food TV needs updating really Sofas a bit low
Lovely location and gardens. Conveniently situated, for touring or walking the hills. Well equipped. The only improvements i’d suggest would be fix the floor board squeak in the entrance hall / utility room, as we had a range of night owls and morning larks and it was difficult to try and avoid making significant noise if passing through this space. I’d also have one king size bed. The bedrooms are sufficiently large this wouldn’t be an issue.
As said in the title... every detail had been thought of with state of the art heating and welcoming homemade biscuits and tea/coffee/milk waiting for your arrival. Fabulously hot water and the whole place spotless with fluffy towels and bath robes to mention just a detail. A lovely helpful gentleman, Atholl, to assist with internet connection living next door. Thank you Highland Cottages for a wonderful stay!
We have a great time at Kirkland’s. Enough space for 2 families with teenage children and adults to have time together and separately. Outdoor space great... kids enjoyed the Astro turf and basketball. Games room provided us all with a lot of fun. Walks into aberfeldy and around the area were enjoyed by all especially the dogs.
The house and its position sell themselves and that is why we keep coming back. Added to this is the excellent service from all the staff on the estate and the manager and their concern to make our stay comfortable. They respond to the inevitable snags in a timely way. We don't look for the Homes and Gardens touches [scatter cushions that we don't know what to do with and don't need] just somewhere clean, comfortable and well-equipped to relax and entertain our friends.
Just a couple of issues with beds and barbecue but a lovely home well furnished and equipped. Perhaps needs a bit more landscaping.
Our trip to Kenmore was enhanced by our stay at the River View Cottage. All the amenities and comfort we needed for a great weekend with friends.
Stayed in crown apartment for 4 weeks, it is well equipped and very comfortable, clean owners helpful
Bay Tree cottage is a great get-away cottage, rural but easily accessible to the interesting town of Dunkeld, the A9 and numerous walking opportunities. There is a good sized kitchen/dining area and 2 sitting rooms. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a pretty garden with options for outside eating and straight out of door options for dog walking. The steps down from the lane into the back garden and the bathroom are fine for active oldies but could be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. There are plenty of options for eating locally in Dunkeld...more
