I've used riverside rentals a few times now and been really happy but this was by far the best place I've stayed out it had everything you could wish for and more can't wait to go back
Booking with Riverside Rentals was a pleasure , the staff on phoning the first time were very helpful , and very patient indeed . The most important point for us was they gave you time ,no rushing explaining things fully , certainly would be booking again .
Was the first time at teal lodge, everything was first class, very clean and had a very homely feel, great for fishing the only drawback was the holes in the road leading to teal lodge, but having said that we had a great weeks holiday so much so we have booked again for next year.
The house is lovely and feels like you are a guest in someone's beautiful home rather than a holiday home. Perfect location for exploring The Broads only 10 mins by car to Wroxham. Great pubs in nearby Coltishall. We hired a boat for the day from Richardsons who we would highly recommend. Garden and surrounding area lovely. The only downside with guests less able, it is a steep and fairly long walk down to the river. Other than that a great time had by all. Would highly recommend!
A very relaxing place to stay. We all had a great time in this well maintained and furnished cottage. Would definitely go again.
When we arrived at Holkham Cottage we were very pleased with the position and its proximity to the river and the shops. Once inside we were delighted with the size, equipment level and the cleanliness of the cottage. We stayed for 7 nights and paid just over £ 700. What a great place. We will definitely stay there again We have booked with Riverside Rentals on several occasions and will not hesitate in doing so again.
On our arrival we found it difficult to find our parking spot ,the map was useless it would have been easier to find if they simply said ferry road ,turn left into car park after pink cottage ,once we’d found the car park we weren’t sure we were in the correct one as couldn’t find the name of our lodge anywhere ,if a sign had been displayed it would have made life much easier, also the car park was flooded for most of the time ,the water wasn’t coming from the river it was coming up out of the drain cover We intended to walk quite a lot while we were there but had to use the car to get out o...more
Great week unfortunately we had a power cut and as the property is all electric including the toilet flush we cut our holiday by a day and a half. Apart from that all good.
We had wonderful week in this beautiful house. Perfect location especially for anyone wanting to add fishing to their holiday. Plenty of space, spacious bedrooms, nice comfy beds. Kitchen has recently be refurbished to a high standard and is extremely well equipped. Horning village is a gentle 15 min stroll away and I would highly recommend a visit to the Swan Inn where we had a delicious meal. There are two further pubs so plenty of choice. Ideally situated for visiting surrounding areas.
We loved our stay at Watersedge Cottage and we had fabulous weather to make it perfect. The cottage is really lovely and in a perfect setting. Plenty of outside furniture and places to relax and watch the world go by. Only a short walk into Wroxham as well. Definitely worth booking.
Great location, extremely clean house and garden, with everything you need within the house. Very spacious and relaxing quiet location
We were delighted with the location anfd facilities at Brit House, Unfortunately our original group of 10 was reduced to 6 by the Covid Rules, with another 2 having to use their camper van to be near the rest of the family. This did not spoil our enjoyment of Norfolk - fortunately the weather was great while we were there and we could get out and about. We all thoroughly recommend Brit House as a venue - everything about it was perfect,
This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property. The facilities are good with everything we need. We mainly stay at the property to fish. The fishing is great with a wide selection of fish. Occasionally some of the boats get a bit close and there is a chance that you could lose your rig. The key things to improve are: • the bed in the main bedroom (the one with the en-suite) needs a new bed and a new duvet. We ended up moving from the main bedroom to the back double as the bed was much more comfortable. If you change the bed it would be great to get a slightly bigger bed...more
An absolutely wonderful holiday home, that provided a much needed restful break after a challenging 2020! Excellent company that were helpful throughout.
Stunning property in a fab setting with spacious well equipped interior. Take wellies, the path to the property at high tide was ankle deep every day and the bridge rickety and regularly under water. For fishermen, beware the vociferous neighbour who apparently owns the dyke, lagoona and fishing rights therein and will not hesitate to inform you of this! Fishing from the decking onto the river was excellent, would definitely revisit.
We have stayed in plenty of properties supplied by Riverside Rentals and so far have never been disappointed. Bure Banks again lived up to our expectations. It was clean, comfortable and well looked after. Already booked two holidays for 2021 with Riverside Rentals and I am sure there will be plenty more.
lovey cottage we booked it so my husband can fish and i could have a nice relaxing week both of which we achived, nice and handy for the heart of the broads the fishing was hard on the river but great in the boat yard . Have booked again for next year
Nice quite location at the end of a lovely village. Otter watching every morning and they did not let us down, 2 most morning's. Wellingtons are required as the area get's plenty of water around on big tides but would definatly stay here again.
Have lost count of the many times we've been to Bluebell Lodge, sometimes twice a year. Have already booked for 2021. It's our home from home. My only minor 'gripe' is that I can never get used to the oven and the settings on it are wearing away making it difficult to read. Like the new microwave oven as it is he exact one we have at home.
Needs a little updating the property is for 5_6 PEOPLE so the fridge and freezer could do with being bigger, don't want to be going food shopping every day when on holiday
The accommodation was first class clean and comfortable with a very well fitted out kitchen the outside fridge for fishing bait was also very useful. Lovely comfy settees and beds a great shower Agreat place to stay
Bungalow was excellent, clean and well equipped.Only problem was the settee which was worn out and difficult for us oldies to get up from.
Had a lovely few days at Dutch Cottage, it is cosy and quaint and within easy access to all the local amenities. We kayaked, cycled, walked and went to the beach. We had a couple of good meals out at The Swan, we couldn't book in at the fish restaurant, you need to do this well in advance of your stay. We were advised to bring wellies prior to arrival and for good reason, the cottage was pretty much totally surrounded by water, we didn't mind this, it added a bit more to the cottages quirkiness, however we did have to leave a day early due to not being able to flush the toilet. This was due...more
We had a really nice time in Melrose, the accommodation was spotless, but we have found this to be the norm with all their properties in the past. This was the first time we had been in Melrose and we where very pleased. We where confronted by storms when we arrived and lasted the full weekend, the whole front and back was flooded, but once we where in and the heating on, it became so warm, and with the contemporary decor it really felt homely.By Monday the garden by the river was back to normal.I myself come for the fishing and only fish into dark, and yes I caught a few 3-4 lb bream, my lads fis...more
On the whole, Ferrymans Cottage is fabulous. It's bigger and better than it looks on the website. The kitchen is extremely well- equipped, the lounge looks out straight onto the river with double doors leading to a long verandah where you could sit for hours watching the world go by. (If it wasn't raining which it was most of our visit, unfortunately!). Bedrooms are a decent size with plenty of storage. For the cost of the property, the main bedroom would benefit from a bigger bed (there's plenty of room) and a new mattress. Also with 6 people in (we were only 3), just one loo in the whole p...more
Will be good to have outdoor coat hanger above the shoe rack. Norfolk without rain is not Norfolk! Wet coat in wardrobe is not ideal.
Pre warned that the River Bure was in flood and needed wellies to exit cars and enter properiy. This being the case we managed however people with prams/wheelchair users would have struggled. This also prevented any walking out into town without the wellies. Lack of mirror in main ensuite bedroom and tiny sinks in all bathrooms are disappointing but overall its a beautiful property and location. Two concerns were dealt with promptly by RR staff.
I have been to Norfolk many of time over the last few year and I think this was the best location I stayed. Very clean lovely garden .
Our second visit to Harnser lodge lovely peaceful place to stay with the river views. Highly recommended as a base to explore Norfolk and the broads.
had a good week at Cresta Cottage. Location brilliant could spend all day sitting outside weather permitting watching the coming and going of boats. Cottage a bit dated as others have previously said but not a problem it is well equipped. Would return for another week anytime so that speaks volumes.
Excellent riverside cottage which is extremely well equipped and was very well prepared for our arrival. We would definitely recommend.
the property is comfortable and well sited one or two minor problems which were quickly put right the major problem i found was getting to it with our luggage it is not easy at 75yrs old to push a cart from the car park to the bungalow it would have helped if we had been told about the river taxi prior to our stay it would have made the holiday better for us and i would suggest this information is included when booking the holiday.
Corner position giving access to the main river and dyke. Lovely garden with plenty of areas to sit and entertain. Well equipped kitchen. Lounge area with river views, very comfortable. Double bedroom and bathroom acceptable but on the small side. Walking distance to pubs and shops. We stayed two weeks and loved it.
I stayed in poppy at the end of a 10 day cycling holiday, Made contact with the owners the day before who let me know where to locate the key. On arrival I found the interior to be in a good clean condition, with some welcome supplies in the fridge (beer, butter, tea and coffee and biscits). I spendt 3 days there along with a few caravans in at the site. I found the toilet and Shower facility's to be fine, Hot shower water costs £1 Pound but the water lasts for a good 15 Min, so more than one needs. The last day was spent in a full on storm, the hut survived with no issues, nice and war...more
The accomodation is excellent, finished to a high standard but there are some minor issues with the inventory. Someone needs to perform a full audit of the kitchen utensils, for example no chopping boards, spatulas, wooden spoons or jugs. There was no DVD player, Ipod dock or ramp access to the property. There are also these issues concerning the plot. The Riverside Rentals website states:- “Rendezvous – New for July 2020, an ultra modern new house on Meadow Drive Wroxham. On a corner river plot on the river Bure bordering the main river and side dyke” – It is not on a corner plot, its ...more
Excellent property would stay again 5 minutes from shops and restaurants. very warm and welcoming. 10/10
Dog hairs on all ,floors, bathroom, and bedding. Pillows very low quality and very stained Poor amount of crockery, cultery, 4 odd mugs 2 were chipped. And also found a half chewed large dog chew under the Television table. Had to go out and buy pillows and duvet as could not use bedding as unhygienic and covered in dog hairs. Very good it's dog friendly but as i am not a dog owner the hairs from the previous guests dog should be removed for the next guest's stay.
We really enjoyed our stay (just two of us)and luckily the weather was very good, the beds were very comfortable and it was all very clean. When it got chilly at the end of the week we could not find how to get the heating on. Being an upside down house it could have done having a mirror in the ground floor bedroom. We would certainly go there again.
Unfortunately we arrived to find the Broads in the teeth of a massive storm with the river flooded and although the storm subsided over the next couple of days with rain forecast for the majority of the rest of our stay we decided to return home. One of the main reasons for our holiday was to fish but with the river in flood, unlikely to return to normality any time soon the rods never got out of the car The owner Jan was very helpful in difficult circumstances - hopefully we can return sometime in normal conditions
We really enjoyed our stay at Broadwater which is very well appointed and the location is excellent for local amenities. Given the restrictions due to Covid we planned to eat out only 2 or 3 times in the week so self catering was the order of the day. The only criticism was a shortage of saucepans and dishes like pyrex or similar as well as teaspoons. We bought more of the latter to leave behind. We used the picnic boat for 4 days which was great - saw 2 kingfishers on our travels up to Coltishall. We recommend the Recruiting Sargent at Horsted for fabulous food - but watch out for the huge...more
An excellent stay despite the most appalling weather. My wife and I will definitely stay there again..
3rd year we have been in buttercup lodge and still comfortable clean place would recommend to all wanting a nice place to stay
Lovely appartment, good locatioirsn,TV remote faulty . Will not come again would like to buy have difficulty ma aging the sta
The walk from the car park(Pedros) is challenging and takes a good 15-20 minutes to reach the cottage I am not sure how people take their luggage as well as the foot path is very uneven and is unlit. If you do take your own boat like we did you can only launch it from Ludham which takes approx 1 1/2 hours to reach the cottage. There is no storage in the bedroom so be prepared to live out of your suitcase, the decking is in need of repair and the bathroom is quite cold even with the heating on. When using the shower you have to use a plunger to help the water go down but this caused black d...more
The Cottage was a lovely accommodation for the size and location. Was perfect for what it was needed for, for a lovely time away from the city. Peaceful surroundings of an evening as we were out during the day most days we were there. There were a few minor issues that had been noticed though, which include the following: 1. There was no welcome pack when we arrived yet the property next door had received one. Next door was also a Riverside Rental property as well 2. Light switches were in awkward places i.e the light to the dining room was located on the other side of the room so you had ...more
Good location in village centre, some aspects of cottage looking tired, if staying in winter time central heating needs sorting out and needs to be easier to control ..The old television needs to be replaced as picture awful.
Overall the property was good fishing was difficul not only my opinion. Car drop off plus leaving difficult due to no turning point Then having to reverse down the lane.
Found the fact the toilet did not always flush away properly a bit of a nuisance as it was like that all week and not just a rare occassion (at high tide) Could not find any scissors in the kitchen. Found having to feed the meter daily a chore, had to find a bank to get more pound coins even though we had bought quite a few with us.
I feel it is a nice property in a good location possibly a little over priced for the furnishings ok.
The location of Willow Lodge was stunning - breathtaking views of the river both to the front and to the side - particularly in the early morning before the procession of Broads' vessels - where we spotted otters on several occasions, kingfishers and a heron who visited us every day for titbits. Horning itself is lovely and we were able to visit all the local shops, eateries and pubs which are within only a few minutes walk. Willow Lodge itself could (and should) be five star but is currently up for sale and we feel that the current owner has lost interest in maintaining the place so we w...more
We loved the location. The Customer Service was excellent, Richard even picked us up to collect our boat. We were sadly disappointed with the lack of investment in the property. Many of the white goods were very old, although they did work, but the fridge light didn't work. All of the cutlery, crockery, glasses and pots and pans were oddments and again, quite old and some of them a bit grubby. If it were my property I would be looking to put in a new kitchen. The units were made out of tongue and groove - not a fitted kitchen as such and the worktops were quite old and I could not...more
The property need improvement the willow tree needs trimming to let more light in. when we open the fridge it had a horrible smell of fish. not much privacy as people walking to other properties right past the lounge window. fishing as very poor. Didn’t like the building work that was happening just over the fence it would have been nice to had prior warning didn’t like having the car not near the property also at night the lights on the walkway didn’t work. very disappointing for the cost.
