We just love coming to stay here, it feels like home from the minute we arrive. Beautiful cottage that’s really well equipped with lovely, quality, furnishings and a nice garden to sit out when the sun shines! Lovely walks nearby and games/jigsaws to pass the time if it rains! Would live there if I could!
I can highly recommend the School Master's Retreat in Scremerston as an ideal holiday hub it you are visiting Northumberland. It is situated very close to the A1, the main artery which runs from Edinburgh to Newcastle and which takes you to all the main tourist spots on the Northumberland coast, including Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Cragside, Howick Hall and Gardens and Berwick-on-Tweed, amongst others. There is also an excellent local bus service if you don't want to drive one day. A beautiful walk from the cottage will take you into Berwick-on-Tweed, along the cliff tops...more
