Our families had a great stay at Cape Cottage and the Farmhouse over Christmas. It was lovely to have the space for all the cousins to be together and for all 11 to sit down for Christmas meals. The Cottages were cosy and warm and the rooms were spacious with large beds and luxurious bathrooms. The kitchens had all the equipment we could want, even for whipping up cakes. It was great to have the protected open space in front of the houses for the kids to run around and play football etc and the play barn for when even the kids felt the cold. We had a lovely time. The cottage is comfortable and had everything we needed. The heating a bit hit and miss (the very nice attic bedroom’s en-suite was chilly) but nothing at all to spoil our stay. The children loved the play barn and pool. This was our third visit, thank you Jill and your staff for helping make it so enjoyable. We’ll be back!
This was a perfect place for parents, grandparents and two small children. The play barn and opportunity to book the pool for private sessions were highlights. Swimming each day resulted in the 5 year old swimming a length unaided. Outside were swings, play equipment and bikes. The Farmhouse was well appointed and warm. It's in a lovely rural setting and with wide open spaces. Thank you to Jill and her team.
We had an excellent time at Lower Wood Farm. Cottage was absolutely lovely with top notch facilities and lovely and clean. The pool was amazing, with the kids absolutely loving it. The play barn and ample space to run around was a real hit too. Would definitely come again!
What an amazing place this is. It has everything a family of 4 could ever wish for. The Bramley cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we could have ever need in the self catering cottage. The heated pool was perfect for us and the kids to relax and have fun. And the games room was perfect for a quick game of pool with the kids. The snow after new years was an added bonus for us all as coming from Australia we don’t get to see it that often. Best snow family bonding day ever. Highly recommend Lower Wood Farm cottages definitely have the wow factor! Absolutely everything you need for a fabulous family holiday. It’s very quiet and a perfect safe location. The facilities are brilliant for young children and early teens ,with bikes, footballs, pedal toys and the play barn is like a toy shop. The swimming pool is lovely and warm and well maintained. We had an excellent weeks stay even though we probably had the only week where it rained!!! The Barn was spotlessly clean and every detail thought of and children were very well catered for. The swimming pool was a great bonus and again it was very clean. A lovely place we would stay again.
We had another lovely stay at Lowerwood Farm. The accommodation is very comfortable, we made lots of use of the on site facilities including the bbq, swimming pool, play barn and bikes. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending.
