The Coach House is the largest of the accommodations at Swainsley Cottage. Well appointed and comfortable with all provided that one could want.
There are plenty of walks straight from the cottage (the owner Chris has plenty of suggestions and the maps to go with them) - as well as direct access to the Manifold Trail - for cycling as well as walking.
Country pubs abound with good food and excellent English ales - and tea shops of course.
Also just a short drive to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Jodrell Bank - as well as Alton Towers - i.e. something for everyone.
Very comfortable Old Byre with all mod cons. Clean and tidy and wonderful views from windows at front and from the garden outside. It's an excellent area to stay in if you are the walking type. We walked in the Manifold valley, Dove dale and the Roaches. Wonderful scenery and Hartington one of the local villages is a lovely place with a few shops of interest like the Cheese shop, the Farm shop and others Buxton, Bakewell and Leek are interesting towns to visit, but our favourite was Ashbourne, although lots of road works going on, it looks clean and attractive.
