Fantastic stay at this lovely estate. Some issues with some of the fittings which weren't adequately resolved in our opinion but really lovely accommodation in a fantastic part of the world. Really tranquil and peaceful surrounded by sheep and cows. Loved the swimming pool and the closeness to the coast in particular. Good WiFi enabled me to join a works team call one afternoon. Great online info pack with things to do and information

Every year we take the dogs for a holiday and our last break did not disappoint.
Great cottage complete with everything you need to make it home from home and comfy cosy decor made it feel all the more special.
The location was great with a beach within walking distance and depending on the time of day you visit the beach you have it to yourselves. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the swimming pool on site was a bonus. Loved it that much we have booked again for next year already!

We had an amazing time at Llanfendigaid Estate! The hosts were super welcoming and quick to respond to any questions we had. The location couldn't be better; just a short 15 minute drive to the beach, lakes, rivers, and even waterfalls. It's the perfect spot if you love nature. The estate is huge, with beautiful gardens and a fantastic pool. We also loved stargazing at night; the sky was filled with stars and of course the weather helped. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed out staff in Dove Cottage and would definitely return. The tranquil, rural, coastal setting was fantastic. The wifi was good, the use of a pool was great and the welcome hamper of Welsh produce was superb and much appreciated. The decor was good quality, the cottage having been accessorised with comfortable sofas, throws, vases of flowers, cushions, big mugs, lots of lights etc. Emma, the housekeeper, gave the friendliest of welcomes and is a real asset to the business.

This was our second stay at dove cottage
We only stayed 2 nights , I wish we had stayed for longer . Perfect for family of four.
Dog friendly.
Beautiful floral arrangements inside the cottage were a lovely touch. The grounds are beautiful, especially the hydrangeas.
We hope to return very soon.

We stayed in Dove Cottage for four nights in damp July! Despite the weather not being amazing we had a wonderful time exploring the grounds - beautiful view and well looked after, and our 4 year old was absolutely buzzing off the (well-maintained) swimming pool barely a stones from our cottage. Loved the upside down style of the cottage which was equipped with everything we needed.

Would like to come back with other members of family and maybe hire a couple of cottages and explore the local walks more in better weather.

Wonderful cottage, a little quirky with its upside down configuration. The whole estate is lovely. All the staff we met were very friendly but we saw most of Emma who is brilliant. There is so much to do in the area that you could stay for a very long time and not run out of things to do. Thank you everyone

Dove cottage is beautifully decorated and provides warm and cosy accommodation. All 4 of us slept wonderfully well in very comfortable beds with high-quality linen. The house was immaculately clean and looked simply beautiful when we arrived with large floral displays. Easy access to beaches, lovely viewpoint for a short walk - and, of course, the swimming pool!
It's not large but 4 adults and two dogs - one of them large (dog, not adult) - found we could manage comfortably and the little front garden proved to be quite a sun trap.

Dove Cottage is one of the loveliest places we have stayed. The cottage is so comfortable and had everything we needed for our short break. There is plenty to do, or not. The location is idyllic and the overall feel is very relaxed and calm. We can’t wait to return again and explore more of this very beautiful part of Wales. The flowers and the Easter eggs were kind gestures and appreciated.
I have ticked that I would recommend to others but in reality I don’t want others to know so we can keep this special spot to ourselves!

My little family stayed at Dove cottage for three nights and had the most wonderful time. The communication leading up to the stay made arrival and check in super easy. The owners were very friendly and provided everything we needed to make our time on the estate comfortable and relaxing. The cottage was immaculately clean and had so many lovely unique decor touches such as soft furnishings, picture and books to read. The pool was a massive hit with our son who went in it within half an hour of arriving at the estate!
The location is quiet and rural, but there are towns within a quick drive and we also enjoyed an easy walk and coastal train ride to Barmouth.
We would definitely recommend a stay on the Llanfendigaid Estate.

We stayed in September for a short break and loved it so much we booked a week in February. Unfortunately we were left so disappointed. The main reason we enjoyed it so much and booked when we knew the weather would be awful was because of the heated swimming pool which the kids adored. However this time, the pool was freezing. We bought it up at the beginning when we were asked if everything was ok and we were blamed for leaving the door open and that’s why it was cold (we didn’t as it was our first time). The pool stayed freezing the whole week. The kids were so upset. It completely changed the holiday. If the pool was freezing the first time…we wouldn’t have spent so much money on booking a week there. Won’t be returning unfortunately.

Booked Dove cottage on this beautiful estate on a whim. Not knowing this area at all, we were as always a little openminded when venturing somewhere new. Have to say that we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, along with our two golden retrievers. It's remote which is either a good thing or bad thing depending on your needs. I loved it. Great location and plenty of places to wander about. The view after walking through the orchard towards the coast is stunning.
The hosts were really helpful and on hand if anything is required.
Property itself is fantastic. It's rustic but with modern touch so covers all eventualities. Beds were possibly the most comfy I've had on a holiday. I don't sleep well but I did here.
Swimming pool a brucey bonus. Shame we only used it the once.
Not far to drive to Tywyn which is a really nice spot. Friendly locals and a good history. Loved the church (and the Mor fish and chips).
I'd happily recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights at Dove Cottage . From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and the stunning views and setting literally blew us away.
The cottage was well equipped , comfy beds , wifi worked fine on our EE phones ,bathroom is gorgeous.
Swimming pool handy and was the perfect temperature on a very hot day.
Beach at Aberdyfi is sandy and just beautiful . Tywyn is nearby there a co op and Spar for groceries which was very handy .
We want to come back already and will be rebooking very soon .
We have stayed in alot of self catering properties and this is by far one of the best.

We just adore Dove Cottage and our most recent stay was our second in the space of about 7 months. A perfect little hideaway and we love how cosy, comfortable and well appointed the cottage is. The location is just beautiful and the setting very sympathetically maintained to blend into nature. The boys loved the Pool and our little dog was made to feel so welcome too. A beautifully presented holiday home, a real gem! Outstanding rural area to explore. The local deserted beach is perfect with sand and rock pools, only one other family there in August! Lovely warm indoor swimming pool and always had it to ourselves.

Dove Cottage was better than we could have imagined. Beautiful decorated with every bit of love and thought put into it to make it feel like home. The open plan layout was perfect for a family with young children, and we really appreciated being able to let the dog out into an enclosed garden. The setting is like no other, with views of the coast, and lots of space for morning walks with the dog or for the children to play. The swimming pool was just the icing on the cake - beautiful refurbished to feel almost spa-like, really warm and wonderful views. Thanks for having us.

A weekend I will never forget - Llanfendigaid will always have a special place in my heart.

Not only a collection of beautiful buildings in a truly remote and magical location, but each property has been beautifully done up, and carefully considered. The cleaning team are incredible, accommodating and friendly. Lisa, Gareth and the team were extremely responsive and helpful.

The pool is a wonderful addition, as is the BBQ area, and the viewing point at the top of the hill to watch the sun set and the dolphins cruise past!

This fabulous cottage is great for a young family as it is roomy, safe and has a large floor surface for kids to play with their toys on a rainy day. Lovely kitchen/dining area. Bathroom really super chic. We had family staying in Stable cottage and we all gathered in Dove for dinner which worked so well. Loved the pool, swam every morning with our toddler. Llanfendigaid is a very special place!

We stayed for a week in Dove Cottage with our dog at the start of June and we haven’t stopped talking about how wonderful it was! The cottage was beautiful and very cosy, with great amenities. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the morning with a coffee, but with our big and boisterous dog Carlo safely behind the fence!

The estate and surrounding area are absolutely stunning, especially the seat/fire pit area at the top - we sat up there one night to watch the sunset and would highly recommend it!

You could easily spend a whole day on the estate relaxing, but there’s a lovely beach about a 20 minute walk away which is dog friendly and definitely worth checking out.

We saw Lisa most days and she was always on hand to help us with whatever we needed, or just for a friendly chat :)

This was our first UK holiday with Carlo and it’s really set the bar high for future trips. We have already recommended to friends and family and will definitely be back!

Whole site was fantastic, customer service was great, allowed us to check in early and such a beautiful place to be.

Only slight criticism was the WIFI was a bit temperamental and with no signal was reliant to be able to communicate.

We had such a wonderful time Llanfendigaid Estate.
The cottage we stayed in was so beautiful and welcoming. So much thought in every detail of design and furnishing to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The hosts were very responsive to our needs and the entire family including teenager and ten year old gave it a unanimous raving thumbs up, even our dog wanted to stay longer!
We are definitely coming back.

A wonderfully presented cottage in an idyllic location. We appreciated the thought put into the fixtures and fittings in the cottage which definitely give a little touch of luxury. We enjoyed a lovely, peaceful stay. The buildings and grounds at Lanfendigaid Estate provide a feeling of it's historic past - we loved it and so did Ava, our dog. Such a treat to have this standard of dog-friendly accommodation. Plenty of walks to explore from your front door and beyond.

The refurbishment of the cottage is excellent. Everything is new and clean and tastefully done.
The sloping access to the lane is a great improvement.

We stayed at Dove Cottage with our 2 children and simply had the best week! The cottage is very warm and cosy, beautifully decorated and homely. The log burner was on the go each evening and it just has a lovely feel to the place. Despite other cottages being on site it was quiet and peaceful. The app we found really useful and the walk suggested up the hill at the back of the cottage was stunning. The kids loved the pool (I appreciate it’s about to be renovated!) and were in it twice a day most days. A great addition for the cottage. We highly recommend Dove Cottage!

A lovely cottage, beautifully decorated in a wonderful location, though a little longer walk to the beach than anticipated.
The swimming pool and large field around it were a fabulous bonus, we (3 adults) used the pool every day and enjoyed the sun just outside.
A large bathroom, with both shower and bath, was a luxury these days, and there was even room in the bathroom for a rocking chair.
We loved the sofa and oversized chairs, superbly comfy. (We nearly brought the chairs home with us to swap for our small sofas!)
Hosts were on site and friendly, but unobtrusive.

The weather was amazing which made for a fantastic short stay. We used the local area walks book we found in the cottage and did two local walks which were great. The estate was really close to the beach and we loved the pool. The estate itself was really lovely with brilliant views across the bay and the mountains. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. They had only recently bought the estate and have plans to upgrade Dove Cottage although we were very happy with it. Loved meeting Barley the golden retriever too.

We had a wonderful break at Dove Cottage - and our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved it. The property is a little tired around the edges but we were expecting this with its age - in our view this added to the charm. Having access to the swimming pool was fantastic - we used it every day. Graham was brilliant - we needed another loo roll on his day off and this was swiftly sorted even in his absence. The location is simply beautiful - we couldn't have asked for anywhere more relaxing.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. We were a little concerned with the weather being so chilly but the added touch of a heated blanket was simply amazing!! We love the peaceful location. We walked each morning towards Tywyn and swam each afternoon in the pool as the setting sun streamed into the pool room . It was like a spa break.

We love the caravan site too and have used that aswell as the cottages. Coming back to caravan site in a few weeks and hope to bring the family with into the main house next year.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Welsh countryside, visiting many wonderful places throughout Snowdonia - the cottage was ideally located with good access to all of the places we wanted to get to.

The cottage itself is a beautiful barn conversion with all the modern conveniences that you need for a nice stay. We did experience a problem with lighting the fire due to storm Arwin, but we got prompt advice via WhatsApp from Graham who kindly came round to check on things the next day who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the estate.

Overall the cottage was warm and welcoming and had everything that we needed for our short stay. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.

we stayed at Dove Cottage from 18th October through to the 25th. A beautiful gem in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Views and scenery absolutely stunning. Location of cottage was central to meet all the families holiday needs - action packed day at Zip world for the teens in our house and beautiful coastal walks for us oldies, family attractions all close by including steam trains to ride and waterfalls to climb. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the on-site swimming pool which catered for the wet mornings in Wales. The cottage itself was a home from home - all the comforts you'd expect. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in! We will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay. The location is out of this world - absolutely stunning, near beautiful beaches and breathtaking hills. In our short stay we enjoyed walking up bird rock and visiting the local beach. Our girls had a brilliant time playing in the pool. Graham was very welcoming and helpful. The property itself was comfortable but the kitchen could do with updating (e.g. fake drawer falls off - probably because people didn't realise it was a drawer!) and the cleaning wasn't as thorough as some places we have stayed. That said, we would certainly come back and stay at this cottage, it was lovely.

Dove Cottage was warm, welcoming and well kitted out. Beds v comfortable and really good bathroom with big bath for those post walking deep soaks.
The combined sitting room-kitchen works well for two or four people.
The setting is stunning with great views from the hill behind the house. Best to drive 5-10 mins for the awesome beaches at Tywyn or Aberdovey. A perfect spot for a short get away from the hurly burly.

There are no frills and frou-frou bits to the cottage - however it is comfy, and practical and suited us perfectly.
Almost everything we needed was to be found in the cottage, and there location is superb.... wonderful walks right from the doorstep, a beach within walking/cycling distance and real mountains less than 30 mins away.
We have two little boys (4 and 6) who thought all their christmases had come at once.

The team at Llanfendigaid were wonderful - helpful but not intrusive. Graham (at the estate) was lovely, and the administration around the booking was very straight forward (the app/website is a great addition).

Clean, tastefully furnished cottage in very attractive setting with lots of beautiful coastline and interesting things to do nearby. We brought road bikes with us and over the week of our stay, spent two days cycling, (great scenery & quiet roads), two days walking and two days sight seeing. The latter included a trip to Harlech Castle via the coastal railway, which we very conveniently accessed by walking just 15 mins to Tonfanu station. Great to also have access to a pool across the road from the cottage, which although small was a very relaxing extra. The site manager, Graham was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only significant negative from our experience was the low level of natural daylight and lack of views in the living area.

Dove Cottage and the Llanfendigaid estate is in the most beautiful of locations. You can view the sea from the cottage and a spectacular view of the whole coastline from a few metres up the hill. We did a few great walks but I would also recommend bringing bicycles as there are a few locations for off-road cycling with the kids. Mid Wales is stunning and never overcrowded. Graham the site manager is a lovely chap - helpful and super friendly. He made us feel very welcome. And the owner Will was very responsive and gave great service to those booking at the end of the lock down, only requesting full payments once he was 100% sure visitors could stay.

Dove Cottage was the first place we had been to since lockdown began. It was a real breath of fresh air in every respect, just the change of scene we needed. It is set in a really peaceful location and I loved being able to see the sea from the hill behind the house.Just the right size for a family of four, with nice double bedroom and twin bedroom. The sitting room was cosy and we used the log burner for the fun of it, not because we really needed the heat! Wales was still not fully open at the time so we couldn't use the on-site pool - a shame as when I first booked it that was a big part of the attraction and I felt it would be worth the price. Of course it's no-one's fault, just unfortunate due to the pandemic. Graham the site manager was very friendly and helpful.

Dove cottage and the other 2 cottages and big house are in the most beautiful location in South Snowdonia with nice walks from the front door. The locations are separate so you don't have to go as a group, but we did and it was lovely to all congregate in the Cow Shed. Dove Cottage is more traditional with small windows so you don't get to see so much of the lovely views from inside. But it has a good layout with kitchen / living room upstairs. Graham is on site every weekday, a super helpful and friendly bloke!

Bookcase, tables, chairs not cleaned.

We do encourage guests to tell us immediately if anything is wrong rather than wait until after they have left. We chose Dove cottage as our holiday destination with our two year old daughter. We were drawn to the close proximity of various lovely sand beaches for building sand castles and paddling. We found the swimming pool very handy and used it at least once every day. We also enjoyed the mini steam train rides nearby. The cottage itself is in a beautiful setting and had everything we needed for our stay. The stair gate, washing machine and dishwasher were very handy! When we had any down time in doors, the cosy sofas made us feel at home.
We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Been coming for a few years - ideal location if you want a quiet holiday where you and the kids are happy with good old fashioned activities like walking and exploring. Pool is great and clean. The cottage is well equipped although we needed to ask the manager for kitchenware that was missing (it had been taken to the main house and not returned) and the bed linen and bathroom are always nice and clean. If i am honest we have noticed since we first came four years ago that parts of the cottage are looking a little tired now and needs updating eg the flooring in the kitchen, and although everything was freshly cleaned when we arrived there might have been a little more attention paid to things like skirting boards and behind beds which were dusty and cobwebby. Obviously in an old converted property there will be spiders and dust but it wouldn't take long to vacuum/ dust behind beds and wipe skirting boards in the bedrooms. Also the fridge makes a low pitched throbbing noise which you can hear ALL NIGHT which is such a shame as the silence is incredible otherwise. I did raise this two years ago but alas the fridge is still noisy! Lastly the information folder in the cottage needs updating as it is out of date.
Otherwise a brilliant place to stay. Always sleep well here and the old fashioned vibe of the place is fantastic. The kids loved the rope swings (perhaps check the rope of the lower one!!) and the table tennis was a welcome addition. Again perhaps a quick sweep out of all the leaves and a wipe down of the table would just make it more inviting. We will definitely consider returning.

Hi Susan I am sorry the satellite broadband did not work well for you. It isn't bad when it is on form but is less reliable than I would like. As a result, we are in the (longwinded) process of installing ultra fast leased line technology with fibre optic linked directly to the main BT Colossus network backbone....and I expect it will be in by Sept at the latest at which point hopefully broadband performance issues will be a thing of the past!

There are some really nice walks nearby, it is very tranquil nice to get away from all the hustle.

On arrival we couldn’t find any TV instructions for the evening, there were 3 remote controls. Step by step instructions called for. The bathroom hot water tap was dripping, the shower waste was blocked and nearly overflowing, we reported everything and it was fixed on Monday while we were out. The lampshade at the top of the stairs needed replacing as the fabric had crumbled inside, it could only be seen when the light was on. The front small panel under the sink was broken. I did report the lampshade and the panel when we left by note, hopefully so that it could be fixed for the next occupants. Problems described were just an inconvenience but could have been avoidable with better preparation. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay in a beautiful setting. The weather was very good and we went out every day. The recommendations for restaurants were perfect.

Dove Cottage at Llanfendigaid Estate was the perfect rural getaway for my 10-year-old daughter and I. Booking was straightforward, marketing materials accurately reflected the property, amenities and location, and contacts on-site and via email/phone were friendly and responsive. It was a great base from which to explore the stunning surroundings, and partake in some of the many child-friendly activities in the vicinity. Spending the whole day relaxing at the cottage, using the indoor heated pool and walking locally, was just as enjoyable as venturing further afield by car or train. The cottage was warm, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. We very much hope to return one day!

What a great week we all had in Dove cottage & Stable cottage, home from home feeling, everything we needed to make the stay comfortable, location was great, wildlife was great, from the nosey squirrel to the dove hiding away and playing with its plastic jug, great to see, on site staff were absolutely brilliant, the swimming pool was an added bonus, after being out all day it was great to come back and have access to the pool for a swim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dove Cottage, it was cozy and just perfect for our family of 5. The onsite indoor swimming pool was a huge perk as well as the quiet peaceful countryside and close proximity to the beaches and beautiful views. The cottage was equipped with every amenity you can think of, even including books and board games!
The one and only downer to our trip was our son's allergic reaction most probably to pollen in the area, but that wasn't really in anyone's control

We went to Llanfendigaid with our grown up sons, daughter in law and two small grandchildren. We booked two cottages next to each other.
The setting was perfect for us, and the children loved walking up the hills and playing on the tyre swing. We had BBQs and made good use of the (warm) swimming pool. The cottages are well equipped and comfortable. We slept really well and were able to share some great family meals round the big table at Dove Cottage.
WiFi is limited, but we were able to buy extra if we needed it.
Graham and Will were very welcoming and quick to respond to emails and phone calls. We felt well prepared for the visit with the pre-holiday information.
There is plenty to do in the local area, visiting lakes, train rides, castles and beaches. We shall return to explore more of this wonderful place.

We hired the whole of the estate to celebrate our birthdays with friends. We had a wonderful time. The cottages and house were clean, comfortable and well stocked good facilities for self catering. The swimming pool was great. All the cottages were lovely and the house had such character and atmosphere that it made everything special. The grounds and surrounding area were very peaceful. We would recommend this estate for a stay in any of the cottages and the house.

Dove Cottage, Llanfendigaid is a lovely little (but more spacious that expected) cottage with all the necessary home comforts, and then some...sea views, swimming pool, beautiful surroundings and well located to visit the surrounding area. It really does deserve its label as a premier cottage, it is so well kept, comfortable, and we certainly felt at home. My expectations were exceeded in terms of what was provided on the premises.

The manager at the site is an absolute credit. We were aware he was about on a number of days, to be expected if the premises and estate are going to be maintained to such a high standard. He was always helpful and we never felt intruded upon.

It was great location to take our young son on his first family holiday. He loved hunting pine cones and watching the birds that feed at the front of the stable block. We really couldn't find any faults and would love to return.

We stayed for four nights in Dove Cottage (family of four) and had a great time. The cottage is perfectly situated, with virtually no passing traffic, and no noise etc. from the other nearby properties (including the large house). The pool was fab and we had exclusive use, though this may not be the case during peak holiday periods. The upstairs open-plan kitchen / diner / lounge is extremely comfortable with all the amenities we required, including some great board games. We also enjoyed the outside areas.
Hopefully we will return in the future!

A beautiful cottage, very clean,warm and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped. The manager was very helpful and friendly on our arrival. The area is fabulous for walking, and with an conveniently timed trains from the nearby train station we walked the new Wales Coastal Path both up to Barmouth and down as far as Borth during our stay.

We had a lovely half term break at Dove Cottage. The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we wanted. Our children (aged 4 and 6) loved the indoor pool which was invaluable, especially on the odd wet day we had. The cottage is ideally situated with walks from the door into the hills behind the estate and also down to the stoney beach. It is also only 15 mins walk or a short drive to Tonfanau railway station which is on the coastal railway line with short journey times to Tywyn and Aberdovey south and Barmouth and Harlech north. The train was a great way to get around and see the coastline in this area, so having the station so close was very handy. All in all, a great place to stay to see this part of Wales.

This was our first time in the area and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Graham was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We used the pool on site frequently and often had it to ourselves. Having the beach so close by was great and the farm tea shop up the road was superb with very friendly people. There was lots to do and we could have stayed longer.
We have already recommended here to friends with similar aged children.

We loved staying at Dove Cottage - very comfortable (especially the beds!), warm and cosy, a great location and the swimming pool is a real bonus. There is fantastic walking (Cadair Idris) and biking nearby and the coast is also very close to explore. If the weather turns there are plenty of options - train to Harlech, Aberdyfi, the Tywyn cinema - and it was beautifully dark and quiet at night. We were lucky with the weather; we even managed a BBQ! Altogether we had a very restful stay, busy enjoying the hills or beach during the day and relaxing at night.

The people who stayed in the cottage were happy with accommodation. They initially found it dark compared to the main house but slept well as a result of the bedroom being at the back. In Stable cottage we were disturbed by some nesting birds or squirrels!

The only tiny criticism of Dove Cottage is a slightly musty/damp smell in the twin bedroom - otherwise all good. We used it as overspill accommodation for the main house so can't comment on the kitchen etc

We stayed in Dove Cottage for a week over Easter, and found it to be a good base. This isn't really a luxury cottage, but it was comfortable, practical and clean, so we felt quickly at home. The surrounding scenery of farmland and hills provides a good backdrop, and the cottage really is visited by doves on a regular basis, befitting its name! The upstairs is an open plan kitchen / sitting / dining area, with plenty room, the double bedroom has a large bed and reasonable storage, and the twin bedroom was quite compact but comfortable. There is a roomy bathroom, with a bath and shower; the latter only just had enough water pressure. We used the free internet, which seemed to be reliable for email and standard surfing. The pool, which is just across the lane from the cottage, was warm, and very popular with the youngest member of our party.

As we are such a big family (12 adults and 10 children) we booked all three properties.

My husband and I were in Dove Cottage and thought it was lovely. The bed was both beautiful and comfortable.

Most of our time was spent with the family in the big house.

Overall a charming cottage in a good location and Graham made us feel very welcome.
The heated pool was a little on the chilly side (even for the kids at the end of August) and we struggled to research the area once we arrived as the wifi only worked for the first day (we could have done this before we came but as it was a last minute booking we thought we'd do the detailed research once we arrived and picked a cottage with wifi for this purpose). But these are just small factors in an otherwise lovely old cottage on the edge of Snowdonia within good reach of some very beautiful areas of North Wales.

Delightfully peaceful. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Although there are two other lets and a caravan club area in close proximity, none are intrusive. Plenty of pleasant walks in the area & the local station within easy reach for trips future afield.

Really enjoyed our stay. Dove Cottage used to be a real Dovecote though must have been a big one. Pretty stone cottage with a nice garden area at the back. Swimming pool was a bonus and kept the kids happy. Walks on the beach and in the hills were perfect and it is good for cycling too as the Wales coastal path (a lane at this point) runs next to the property. Graham is very helpful and welcoming too. Will certainly come back again.

Dove cottage is in a breathtaking location, close to the sea, rolling hills and great for visiting the many narrow gauge railways, unfortunately the property, is in need of updating and a thorough clean. It was very dirty throughout and some of the furniture is in need of repair to make it useable. In particular the washing machine needs attention to remove the mild from inside. My young family cannot recommend this property but we can recommend the area.
