We have been fortunate enough to stay at Teal House multiple times for our holidays in Northumberland . We always have a lovely holiday here thank you . The property has great views and offers total tranquility . It in our opinion has an ideal location , countryside views and yet only 10 mins by car into Alnwick which has everything you could possibly need . It’s also very accessible for the A1 and all the beautiful beaches Northumberland offers . Teal house is always spotless when you arrive and offers superb facilities and comfort . Our return visits prove that there couldn’t be any better Northumberland holiday cottages in our opinion .

We loved our stay at Teal house over Xmas, this was our second Xmas here and we would come back every year as it is so well equipped to cook lunch etc
The bedding and fitttings are all very high quality and the open plan living works brilliantly for a multigenerational family.
And having an en-suite with every bedroom is a bonus.

we loved our time here, it was a spacious, clean and well equipped space in a beautiful setting. There was a frustration that the heating was too warm and there were no clear instructions to change the temperature. I should have rung and asked for help, I forgot though. A user friendly explanation would have been helpful. A door mat coming into the property would have been good to wipe our feet. Whilst the beds were comfortable the individual single ones are small and my son found them awkward - bigger beds all round would be preferable. The blind in the main room (on the far RHS) was broken when we arrived. The bin was in a very awkward space and was tiny - a more accessible bigger bin would have been less frustrating.
These are niggles but would have definitely made the stay a bit better.

A group of 10 of us stayed at the cottage including some children. The house was perfect. The quality of the finishes, bedding, etc is exceptional. Plenty of space for a large group for cooking, dining, sleeping. Plenty of bathrooms. Acres of outside space to kick a ball around and play down by the stream. The kids loved looking for rabbits and owls. We got up one night at 2am to watch the stars, they were UNREAL! Short drive to the most amazing coastline some lovely towns nearby. Can’t fault it one bit - we will be back!

Spacious, comfortable, everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Very well equipped, and the big fluffy towels are lovely. With a view from every window and a garden to enjoy we stayed in for two days of our holiday, but with easy access to good roads we enjoyed trips out too. Loved the wldlife: owls, hares, pheasants, and squirrel and loads of birds. We felt truly spoiled and cannot wait to return to Teal House next year.

Teal House has been like a home from home for our annual family holiday in Northumberland over the last five or six years. It's popular across the generations, and we never tire of staying there. Our grandchildren love having the freedom to roam, and playing safely outside. There are always welcome gifts, including fresh flowers, the towels and bed linen always feel fresh and clean, and the soft robes available to wear make you feel snuggly and relaxed. Lydia is the perfect host, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.

We were making a return trip to this lovely cottage as we had enjoyed our previous stay so much. Although the cottage was unchanged our family circumstances were. We now have three generations to accomodate and a family member with mobility issues following an accident.
The layout of Teal House was perfect for easy use of a wheel chair and all the paraphenalia that accompanies small children. The inside and outside areas were safe and accessible to all.
We were extremely fortunate to be blessed with good weather so were able to take advantage of the outside eating areas and to make good use of the garden. The small boys made very good use of the nearby stream and loved the close proximity of the local wildlife.
The accomodation also offered plenty of entertainment options should the weather have let us down.
This beautifully appointed cottage fulfilled all the needs of our busy family and was spacious enough for everyone to find a quiet space.
We did heve a temporary issue with the water supply but Lydia was very helpful and the problem was rectified as speedily as possible. We were offered alternative accomodation but all parties opted to remain.
If you are hoping for a relaxing, comfortable break amidst beautiful countryside Teal House fits the bill.

If you are looking for a location for an idyllic family holiday this is the cottage to head for. Set in the rolling hills of Northumberland yet close to Alnwick, Teal House offers first class accommodation with stunning views from every room. With en-suite facilities in every bedroom and ample space in the huge kitchen/diner/lounge there is sure to be no tears, just smiles and laughter. The outside areas are spacious and well equipped too. We spent a fabulous week at Teal House it certainly was a ‘find’ - thank you everyone at Lemmington Estate.

We stayed for a week at the beautifully appointed Teal House. The large open plan dining, kitchen and living room is very comfortable and we all had plenty of room to spread out. We were lucky enough to have about 4 days of warm sunshine so we were able to sit out on the decking, listening to the sounds of the countryside…heaven. We will definitely be back!

We had the most perfect stay at Teal House! Everything had been thought of down to the smallest detail - we all felt more like we were staying in a luxury hotel than a cottage. The setting is beautiful and the owners were very helpful and accommodating, and left us a lovely basket of gifts on arrival. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to come back!

Teal House is a wonderful place. The property is amazing, beautifully decorated and well thought out. The views are stunning, (new born lambs during our stay). The kitchen appliances are good quality with all manuals available so easy to use if you are not familiar with the specific brand/type (eg microwave built into the oven). Crockery is plentiful etc. The location is good with plenty to do in the area, Alnwick Gardens and Castle well worth a visit and needed a day each, plenty to do for children and adults at both places. A downside is the track leading to the property which is uneven and potholed, potentially difficult for some cars and probably useful to know beforehand. Overall, good value for money, the owners are kind and helpful, giving us directions to the property when we were completely lost, despite being on holiday themselves. A peaceful place, enjoyed our stay a great deal.

Gentle baa-ing, soothing moo-ing, soaring flocks of birds and a regular morning visit by a young hare; these were the sights and sounds which accompanied our wakening and our retiring. Teal House offers not only outstanding accommodation in a perfect setting, it is ideally located for exploring the castle-rich coast, the wild, heather-bound interior and for sampling (sometimes to excess) the rich variety of the local cuisine. It would be hard to find anything comparable.

This place has all the facilities you'll need. Plenty of space for up to 8 people. The hamper of "goodies" was a nice touch. The location meant you could easily find some great places for walking and cycling and within 20-30 minutes you could be at the coast. All you need is some good weather and all these options can be achieved. I would recommend taking some pedal bin liners as we had no spare ones provided plus I'd suggest you read the list of requirements asked of you before you leave on the last day. We forgot to carry out a dishwasher routine to help the cleaners with their Covid procedures. Apologies to Lydia and her team.

This was our fourth stay, as a 3 generation family, at Teal House, and we all had a wonderful time. Lydia, the owner, always ensures that guests are made to feel truly welcome; she is the perfect host, and is always happy to deal with any queries, without being intrusive. The "welcome treats" are an added bonus, and always much appreciated. Comfortably and tastefully furnished throughout, Teal House is the perfect place to relax on holiday. The location may be a bit remote for some, but that only adds to the feeling of getting away from it all.

We had a wonderful break at Teal House. The house is so comfortable and welcoming with quality furniture and tip top appliances apart from the toaster which was a little small when we all wanted toast. The views are stunning from wherever you look out from the house.
The only negative we found was perhaps not being able have slight ventilation through the night. We had to open the patio doors to cool the rooms.
Would definitely book again.

A marvellous place for our group of eight friends to stay. A wonderful, well-equipped house in a beautiful and peaceful location yet within easy travelling distance of castles, coast and shops. There is a wonderful log-burner (which fortunately at this time of year, we didn’t need) and loads of outside space for lounging, appreciating the glorious views and dining (which fortunately, we did use!).
Teal House is altogether wonderful and we would very highly recommend it.
