Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
The windmill had everything we could possibly need for a fabulous stay. The windmill has been conserved and made into a beautiful home. The owners, Janet and Tim were wonderful hosts and made us very welcome. It was wonderful from the moment we arrived and the attention to detail was first class. The setting was peaceful and the character of the old mill made it ideal and a memorable break.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. The views were super overlooking the town and close to all amenities. We walked and cycled along the nearby Marriots way.
An outstanding place...more
