Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
My sister and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing windmill. Everything you could think of was provided and our hosts were so welcoming. We enjoyed searching the large collection of miniature creatures dotted about in every nook and cranny. The windmill is well situated for walking into Aylsham, a friendly town with so much happening from markets, artisan bakeries, butchers and not forgetting the Bure Valley Railway. Aylsham itself a bus ride away from both Norwich and Cramer.
