Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
We had a wonderful 5 night stay in the Aylsham Windmill. Janet and Tim are such thoughtful hosts, the special touches and welcome gestures were much appreciated by us all. It was so quirky and cosy, we loved it and so did our children. It is in a great location for exploring the Norfolk coast, the Broads and a trip to Norwich. After having to postpone due to lockdown this holiday was well worth the wait, we could not recommend it highly enough and would love to return one day.
