Vale Farm Cottages are traditional barns that have been recently converted into stylish cottages combining character with modern luxury living. Nestled deep in the heart of Wales with-in the picturesque Hamlet of Lower Chapel, these beautiful cottages are surrounded by scenery that could not fail to impress.
Situated on the Edge of the Brecon Beacons amongst beautiful countryside on a traditional working farm which is close to Brecon, Builth Wells, hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Located on a traditional working farm with cows, sheep, hens, pigs and our donkey called Star. Our farm tours are very popular with the all the family and our play area with swings, slides, sand pit and football goals are situated by the cottages.
Vale Farm Cottages cater from 4 – 11 guests all feature original oak beams in all the rooms and have spacious living rooms with French doors opening onto views of Pan-y-Van and the Black mountains in a farm court yard setting, ideal for al fresco dining or a barbeque. A great location to meet up with family and friends, large enough to cater for groups and business trips and with the optionally of having The Coppice function room with kitchen area onsite for parties, conferences and group meetings.
A great stay at the cottages! Beautiful views, facilities, the pool and hot tub were fantastic. My only comment is that the double bed was not the most comfortable as it was two beds joined together. But I still had very good nights sleep! A brilliant place to stay in multiple cottages as a large group or as a small group/couple in one cottage.
Recently spent a lovely weekend in Vale Chestnut with my family to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Cottage was warm, cosy, clean and well equipped. Although just 1 bedroom there was plenty of room for us with the easy to pull out sofa bed in the lounge.
Loved the hot tub and pool so relaxing just what we needed.
The farmer even gave my 3 year old Grandson a tour of the farm and a sit in the tractor!
10 minute drive to Brecon with shops, pubs and restaurants so something for everyone.
With an amazing night sky full of stars it really is a great place to stay.
Will definitely be booking aga...more
We stayed 5 nights at Vale cottages with our two kids (5 and 1 yo) and it was fantastic.
First of all the view from the veranda was stunning, it was such a pleasure each time we had a glimpse at it!
The house was well equipped, especially for a family, with toys and books for children. And a high chair and a cot was provided, which was really useful. Also fences were settled for the stairs.
The place was tidy and clean, nothing to say.
Of course there are plenty to see and do close to the cottage.
We would definitely come again if we are bock to Wales!
2 more coffee tables or one large
very poor lighting in living area & over dining table. No adequate for reading. Could provide mobile directional standard light?
Kitchen equipment mixed; e.g. hardly any sharp knives; Lots of useless pans that are so thin & bent.
middle bedroom needs small stable portable bedside table that is easy moved away from door.
puzzled by heating; even with most rads turned to lowest setting still too hot on upper floor.
In arrival we were so pleased to find another hot tub attatched to our cottage. A wonderful NEW feature to top off the wonderful stay we had yet again. The whole farm is clean, the cottages are fully equipped with the littlest of things that mean the most as forgetting ur washing powder etc can be a nightmare so these added touches are just amazing. All u need is your clothes ,pool towels ,toiletries and food. We were 4 couples with children and it was perfect. Short drive into brecon for anything you need is about 12-15mins, its close enough and also far seay enough to be away from it all. Ab...more
