The accommodation was very clean and in a lovely location. Danielle looked after us very well and was easy to contact if we had any minor issues. Check in and out was also well organised.
We stayed here with my Arab stallion as we were participating in the ManVHorse. It was such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for both us humans and for Sandy (horse), we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others, as well as stay there again if we are in the area again.
Great stay lovely views the cottage has everything you could think of needing for the weekend , enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and using the swimming pool even had the pool to ourselves which was great, staff very friendly and a relaxing stay ! Did struggle to get the bath and shower water hot , and had a problem with closing a door on the cottage but otherwise all good would definitely recommend
This is the third time we have stayed at Vale cottages. This time we were in a smaller cottage but it had everything we needed. Danielle is so helpful and even supplied additional bedding for the sofa after our children decided they couldn’t share a bed! Great location. We were with a party of 14 and the space was great.
Vale Farm Cottages popped up on my search for somewhere to stay near Pen y Fan. It was a fortuitous find. The cottage had a spacious living area and a sun room with a wonderful view. Brecon nearby was useful, with a great ice cream shop, good pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets for shopping. A major hit with the children was the indoor swimming pool. The ladies particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were welcoming and available if required. We’d like to return and will recommend it to friends and family.
The Walnut is a 2 bedroom cottage one of the Vale Farm Cottages. It was fantastic, you can eat your breakfast with a most amazing view of Pen y Fan and the other peaks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need. Just about the only (minor) niggle was not having a sharp bread knife. There is plenty of parking out the front. There is a handy field close by if (like us) you have a dog. Danielle leaves a folder packed full of information. Lovely, peaceful location. No noise / light pollution and superb for stargazing at night. Kids had a great time in the pool and our dog who was extremely happy there too. Will definitely consider returning to the area and using as a base to explore Brecon Beacons.
