We would thoroughly recommend staying here. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is very well equipped, with lovely welcome gifts. The view is stunning from the cottage and the private garden. Although this is a working farm it didn’t disturb us. Ardfern village is a short drive away and there is a great shop/ cafe. There is also a hotel in the village. There are good walks and other villages are close by. A boat trip is a must too. Highly recommend. We have stayed here before and will hopefully return in the future.
The whole experience was brilliant. If you want to get away from it all this is the place to go. Some will complain about this but I think the lack of signal and poor wifi keeps you off the phone and concentrating on the location and what it has to offer. With regards to the wifi, it does work but is a hit or miss depending on what room you are in. So you are not completely removed. The house is kitted out very well so there is very little you would need to take with. Some will also say it is outdated, but again, it is just what is required.
