Shepherds View exceeded my expectations. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and is very comfortable, warm and the hosts very welcoming. There are many walks from the doorstep, however, if one wanted to explore further afield The Lake District is just a short drive away. The pub in village was just a few minutes walk and served good food, I am hoping to return to this cosy cottage before long, thank you.
I stayed overnight at the Potting Shed in early November whilst fast packing on the Pennine Way. What an absolute gem, such cosy and warm accommodation, and it is obvious the owners have put lots of thought into what is or might be needed by guests. Loved the personalised welcome note, the heater was on, the fire laid, and there was plenty of food and drink, in part included in the price and also additional supplies available to buy.
