The Shepherds view cottage is amazing! Unbelievable view out of the upstairs window. All the gadgets & mod cons anybody could ask for. The arrival hamper was a real plus ! Simon & Carole were excellent hosts. The Stag Inn & the post box pantry in the village are a must visit.
Our one night in the Potting Shed set us up perfectly for the next stage of our Pennine Way journey. As has been mentioned in other reviews the Potting shed has all the cosiness required for a very comfortable stay, and exceeded our expectations. The little extras including the provisions supplied for breakfast and lunch were most welcome. We would definitely recommend it to anyone walking the Pennine Way or similar. This is the perfect stay!
