Albury House exceeded our expectations, for a wider family get together of 9 people including three young children/babies. The facilities were great, especially the patio area and barbeque adjacent to the house plus the other one at the top of a long garden adjacent to trampoline and mini goal and net.
The kitchen had an unusual layout, but was great for family dining, with the working Aga really appreciated. Bedrooms, living areas, conservatory, and bathrooms all excellent.
Will seriously consider staying again.
Our five night stay in West Winnowing was lovely. The seaview and location of this property are wonderful. you have access to the coast path a short distance from the property. St Catherines lighthouse with its spectacular views are a short stroll from your door. There is a pub, The Buddle Inn, within a 200 yards. Ventnor is about a 10 minute drive with excellent facilities and good restaurants. The property was spotless with a lovely welcome hamper providing breakfast for your first morning. Although Plum Cottage is a pleasant cottage in an attractive and convenient location, our stay was inconvenienced by the lack of information as to how to work the oven, the central heating and the television. Fortunately we spent our first evening in a pub in Wimborne, but we could not start the cooker to boil our eggs for breakfast, even though I followed the instructions on the Welcome Sheet, "Press Power to start" and pressed the button "P". I called the local office, but the fellow who came also could not start it, so had to phone the Manager, who told him to press "I". How helpful is that...more
