Buttercup Cottage is a quintessential Cotswold stone holiday home, excellently located in the heart of Tetbury, within walking distance of the town's many amenities. This traditional cottage is busting with character features and even has an enclosed garden at the rear. It is a wonderful cottage to share with family or friends.

Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Tetbury, the cottage has everything you could want home from home.
The beds are so comfortable and warm,
Exactly as described and pictured,
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but this made us do things we may not have done in the dry, we went on a tour of the spire of St Mary’s church and had a turn of bell ringing, that was amazing!
Visited nearby high grove, the residence of King Charles, also visited some of the filming locations of Rivals
We would definitely rebook this cottage, Thank you Frances for thinking of everything! Perfect!

Cottage as described on website, we were early but we were told that it was okay to occupy the cottage. It was clean and presentable though some of the pots and pans are showing signs of age. Beds were comfortable and the area very quiet so a good nights sleep was had. The bathroom was clean though noticed the doors did not quite meet at the bottom allowing water onto the floor. Floors throughout the cottage creaked quite badly though this did not bother us and was I suppose due to the age of the place. Parking was as described though we did use the car park adjacent and at £4.50 per day was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Overall a nice presentable cottage in a good location, we will use stay Cotswolds if we visit this area again.

We loved staying at your historic Cottage in Tedbury.
We really appreciated the instructions and suggestions in detail that we don't normally get when renting.
Cottage has everything you need. Beds are comfy.
The location is perfect for walking into town just minutes away, amazing restaurants, shops ,coffee shops antique stores and groceries.Very friendly town.
Lots of history which we love to explore in the area.
The cottage was spotless when we arrived , easy check in , parking right around the corner.
The cottage is warm and cozy and even has a backyard garden.
Church bells in the distance was a bonus.
Thank you for sharing your lovely Cottage.We need a week next time.

A delighted two bedroom cottage in the heart of Tetbury. Comfortable sitting room with two settees (one each!) the kitchen is spacious & has good facilities, we like a good dishwasher Did some cooking & some meals out.. there are great pubs in the area. The bedrooms were very comfortable too & the shower room ideal. .. great beds! . The cottage was very quiet & we never heard any noise or the neighbours next door. Garden looked nice at the back, but the weather was mixed so we didn’t get the chance to sit out. The local Coffee cafe & bakery just around the corner was great. Very friendly staff & good quality coffee & bread! The cakes were just too good! Couldn’t resist them! The local Coop only 5/8 mins walk & the Tesco branch a short drive to the other side of the town. We used the Car Park only 50 metres away .. £4:70 for the 24 hrs. It was convenient & safe. The town is delightful & lots of antique shops in the area are worth a visit. Newark Park NT is worth a visit. Tetbury is close to so many towns of interest Malmesbury & it’s Abbey is lovely & only a few miles away. All in all a lovely location spent in a comfortable cottage. Thank you Frances for providing a delightful home & Stay Cotswolds for once again providing a great service & communication throughout our booking & visit. Cheers Ian & Gill

Buttercup Cottage is clean, comfortable and has all you need for your holiday. The owner is really helpful and quick to reply to any queries. It's on a quiet side street in Tetbury and it's a short stroll into town where you'll find lots of places to eat. If you're cooking for yourself Tesco's is a short drive away. Tetbury itself is really pretty and well placed as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. While there's free parking outside the front door, it's often full but there's a car park a few doors along which is quite cheap. We downloaded the app which made paying easier. The large private back garden is lovely to eat out in the summer.

This cottage was clean, comfortable and convenient to walking Tetbury or driving to any surrounding villages or towns. The garden is beautiful, especially when looking out the kitchen window. We had everything needed for a like-home experience. If you want High Tea, the Close Restaurant is excellent. We found excellent coffee at "53" and the Snooty Fox. The Italian Restaurant and the Fish and Chip shop are excellent. There is also a bakery, coffee shop and food Co-op five minutes from the cottage. There is a Tesco in town where we were able to get most anything needed. King Charles has a residence a short distance from the center of town, but book early if you want a garden tour or tea time there. The availability is limited. Chavenger House is also local which is "Trenwith" if you are a Poldark fan. The street where the cottage is located is very narrow and rarely has parking available, which was not a bother for us. We paid a little each day for the car park which is located about 6 doors down from this cottage. We downloaded the car park app so could easily pay from our phone. I would absolutely stay here again if we have the chance to return. Thank you Frances, for a lovely stay!!

Excellent location close to church and Town.
Suggest twin beds in one of double rooms
Sheets need to be laundered and pressed
Lawn need to be mowed.
Towels too small
Clean well equipped kitchen.

The owner has reviewed your feedback and would like to reassure you that all linens are freshly laundered and are a high-quality thread count with bath towels (rather than bath sheets) provided for guests. The lawn has been mowed now that the very wet weather in May has passed. Thank you for your suggestion re the twin beds, the rooms are set up with a king size and a double bed to allow the most comfortable use of the space. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back.

This is our second stay at Buttercup Cottage. The cottage is really well located in a side street in Tetbury close to the church so you wake up to church Bells which is such a pleasure. Clean, comfortable and cosy with a lovely cottage garden - I highly recommend.

We loved staying at Buttercup cottage. It was in an ideal location in Tetbury and the cottage itself was really spacious for a two bed. All the instructions we needed were available and it was really peaceful. We paid for car parking as it was not much at all. Tetbury itself is in a good location for visiting the Cotswold and it felt really safe and a nice friendly community. Would definitely go back

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Buttercup Cottage over a long weekend. The cottage itself was so warm, welcoming and cosy. The hosts provided everything we could possibly have needed, including plenty of information on the local town Tetbury itself and recommendations to try in the town. We absolutely loved our time at the cottage and it absolutely flew by. We would 100% consider staying at Buttercup Cottage again in the future.
