Cider Press Cottage is a fabulous ground floor holiday home, with light and airy spaces and a cosy log-burner. Located in Ilmington, this wonderful property is perfect for exploring the local area.

The cottage was comfortable and well presented overall and a fantasticl location in a lovely village. Would recommend.
A couple of suggestions to make it even better:
The cottage smelt quite smokey when we arrived and we also had a problem on the first night with back flow from the fire with the carbon monoxide alarms going off. Would be helpful to provide instructions for the fire and potentially need to sweep the chimney. We didn't use the fire for the rest of our stay.
The people in the double room also felt the mattress was a little uncomfortable but the ones in the twin were fine.

We have passed your review onto the property owner which she has taken seriously. She has confirmed that the chimney was swept in December before your stay and the smoke may have been caused by the high winds we experienced over the Christmas period creating a downdraft . She will leave instructions for the fire and central heating for future guests. No previous guests have complained about the mattress, but she is grateful for the feedback and may consider replacing the mattress in the future. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Well equipped and super location. Good lunch at the Howard Arms and excellent community shop. Would certainly visit again.

Cider press cottage is very spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean. We had a lovely stay here and the village of Ilmington has everything you need and is well placed for seeing all the of the Cotswolds. Some reviews have said there isn’t much of a welcome pack but there was tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. Also salt and pepper, but what I liked there were plenty of loo rolls, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and liquid soap and bin bags all the things I often forget.
We would definitely return to Cider Press Cottage in the future!

This was our second stay at Cider Press and we love it. The village is lovely, very quiet but when you do meet people they are very friendly and a bonus is having a Community shop and cafe just across the road and an excellent pub The Howard Arms which is in walking distance.
Compared with last year (but booked through a different company) the Welcome Pack was very sparse consisting of milk and a packet of biscuits. There were a few other things possibly left by other guests in cupboard but having said that the milk was appreciated as the shop was closed by the time we had unpacked.

Cider Press Cottage was a comfortable, spacious, fully equipped base for our intensive touring of the Cotswold Area. Ilmington is very quiet but offers quick and easy access to the surrounding areas. Our only concern was the driveway access which is problematic if you have a long car and/or one with low ground clearance.

This is our second stay at Cider Press cottage. It is a lovely comfortable cottage in a delightful village with lots of dog walks from the door.
We stay here on our way down to Cornwall to break our journey.
We will definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic time, staying in Cider press cottage. The accommodation was absolutely perfect! Clean, comfortable and met all of our needs. The village of Ilmington is picturesque and very friendly. We really had the very best time, I just wished our stay had been longer.

Cider Press was a very spacious, well equipped and very comfortable cottage. The front room was a delight so big and light. Furniture and beds very comfortable. Shower superb. Kitchen well equipped and it was lovely looking out into the courtyard. The garden was well looked after and relaxing to sit in. It was enclosed and secure so great for our dog. Being able to park 2 cars in the courtyard was a bonus. A little observation was that there were a few cobwebs especially in fireplace, dusty skirting boards etc but overall good. A small kitchen bin and no spare bin bags was a bit of a pain.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. The village of Ilmington is quiet, with a super village shop and cafe and a lovely church where they practice bell ringing every other Wednesday, a delight to listen to.
The cottage courtyard is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and an en-suite with both bedrooms is a luxury. However, we didn't realise that we would be unable to watch live tv and needed use catch up instead.
We would recommend Cider Press Cottage.

Cider Press Cottage is comfortable, quiet and situation in a beautiful village in the northern Cotswolds. Facilities are good and rooms are very comfortable. A grill pan and oven gloves are the only things lacking in an otherwise excellent cottage.

Cider Press Cottage is lovely and tucked away within a lovely village. The cottage is within 3 minutes of the local community shop and cafe which was well stocked and very welcoming. The cottage has a great stock of cooking implements and the fire was lovely.

Perfect cottage, spacious clean and comfortable with high quality furnishings and a heating system which was simple to use, always a bonus. It was actually far larger than the pictures suggest. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The one and only criticism was that there wasn’t a folder with information about the area

Recommendations etc.
I did mention this to the management company and they have passed on my suggestion to the owner.

This barn is in a delightful village with thevHoward's Arms and a fabulous village shop.

Well equipped and confortable cottage in the Cotswolds. We had a lovely time. The cottage is very calm and well located near the village shop . Lacking instructions on the heating system that was either off or too hot .
