Located in the heart of Little Barrington, this fabulous property is perfect for get togethers with loved ones.

We were attending a family wedding near Burford, so the location of Greenview cottage was perfect. Unfortunately, due to storm Darragh, we were unable to investigate any of the walks nearby.
The interior of the cottage was of very high standards. Fantastic kitchen which was very well stocked with cooking pots and pans. The kitchen was our family hang out!
The beds were all very comfortable with good linens and towels all provided. The footed bath tub in the main bathroom was amazing.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Greenview. It has plenty of sofa space to sit around the fire and the kitchen is equally convivial. All the bedrooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable. The Fox pub, just a 5 minute walk away, is ideal if you want to eat out for lunch or dinner. It’s a short drive to all of the popular tourist spots and there are some lovely walks if you prefer not to venture too far. Basics such as milk, eggs etc are provided as a starter for when you arrive but we felt that the owners are missing a trick not to leave fresh bread or a cake given the fantastic local produce in the area. That would have been a nice touch.

We chose Greenview Cottage for a 40 year reunion of 4 Uni friends and one of the ladies turned 60 during our stay so it was to be a ‘special’ birthday setting too. I knew Burford would be the perfect location for a stay in the Cotswolds and Greenview Cottage provided the perfect accommodation. A stunning property in a beautiful village less than 10 mins from Burford. Lovely rooms although if you need all beds making up for when you arrive, make sure you tell them. We sadly had to make up the bed of the fourth room ourselves. Can thoroughly recommend though. Thank you!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A beautiful house in a quiet pretty village, ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Parking easy outside for 2 cars and the beds were very comfortable. Went to local pub for dinner and the house owners had even thought to provide torches and umbrellas by the front door. Only odd thing is that the bed in 4th bedroom wasn’t made up on arrival, apparently that had to be requested as extra which we found a bit strange as if I’d have wanted 3 bedrooms I would have rented a 3 bed cottage! Apart from that the experience was very enjoyable and we would recommend the house to all.

A wonderful cottage in the most beautiful of locations. Perfect cottage for a large grownup family. My only negative was the time you are able to arrive, 5 on arrival day is the latest we have ever had. And leaving at 10 am . 4 o’clock and 11 would be much better, and better value for money especially if you staying for 4 nights. But the cottage was amazing .

This cottage met our expectations on all levels. Well equipped for our family group. It is quirky but comfortable. It made a great base for our family wedding in Windrush. Just off the A40 so very accessible and only 5mins to Burford. The stairs are steep and the upper floor bedrooms are for the more able bodied. But this is to be expected in a house this age. The master bedroom suite is fantastic and very spacious. We also loved the quirky front garden next to the village green. We loved our stay and highly recommend the cottage and Stay Cotswold - very professional.

We stayed in Greenview cottage for three nights in July. It was a very comfortable house and well fitted out. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen very well equiped. The lounge is large and has enough very comfortable seating for everyone staying.
There were some initial problems - a shower tray was not draining well, the hot water was scalding but most problematic was the missing glass from the skylight over the stairs. We happened to get a heavy rainstorm over the first night and the water poured in the house over the bannisters and stairs. The MyClean service said they would report to the owner but they found someone to come and repair the missing glass the next morning and no further problem occurred. This should have been picked up and repaired before our rental started. It rather spoilt the start of the stay. The water problem and shower tray drainage were solved.
On arrival the welcome book mentions the problem with wood lice that enter the property. It says the whole village is affected by them. There were certainly quite a few in most rooms. The welcome book suggests we name them as they are harmless but we started to run out of names! It was not particularly pleasant going to bed at night and knowing woodlice were crawling around the bedroom and property. The interior of the drawers had not been cleaned properly and some repairs are required on the walls of the en-suite shower.

We have passed your feedback onto the property management team, who have advised us that they unblocked the shower for you. They were able to get a handyman over and replace the missing pane of glass over the stairs, which had been damaged by a heavy rainstorm on your first night. Unfortunately, Woodlice are quite common in older cottages, and whilst they are not hazardous to humans or pets, we do appreciate that they can be unpleasant. Greenview was built in a time well before damp proof courses were introduced so you will find after wet weather that woodlice will appear as the damp and dark habitat is the ideal environment for them. Woodlice can be removed by hoovering them up, but you will find that new ones may appear as they can fit through the tiniest of gaps in brickwork or under doors to get back in. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Cotswolds soon.

No heating during stay. Refund promised but not received. Told us that because it was a nice day in early March we wouldn't need heating. Poor service

Jonathan, we appreciate your feedback and apologise for the oversight in communication. Having investigated further we understand there was a fault with the oil gauge which caused the heating issue towards the end of your stay. The owners immediately tried fix this with an emergency oil delivery but unfortunately were not able to find a same-day solution. To confirm, Greenview Cottage is heated for guests all year round and steps have been taken to ensure this doesn’t happen in future. We are sorry for the breakdown in communication, which caused a delay to the resolution to your complaint. However, we are pleased that we have now been able to process this quickly for you.

The cottage is well outfitted and perfectly situated. The building itself is amazing - so much character …. And so much room for our party of five to spread out. Check in and check out were a breeze. We can’t wait to return!!

From the minute we parked and walked through the lovely old front door you felt comfortable,cosy,and at home. Absolutely everything you needed was there,plenty of mugs for a cuppa to a few logs to get the fire going. The rooms were spacious and well appointed,the bathrooms clean and plenty of towels to use. We went for a lovely walk around the village in the morning and walked to a wonderful pub in the evening. I loved every second,I would do it all over again at the drop of a hat xxxx

The location is wonderful for a Cotswolds break. Close to Burford, Stowe and many other market towns. The house is also very nice. It felt like a home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The living room has very comfy sofas. All the bedrooms are a good size and the beds comfortable.

From the moment we opened the door, we fell in love with the cottage! Everything has been thought of to make guests feel comfortable during their stay. We really enjoyed our weekend and would love to come back again.

Little Barrington is a delightful place with a fabulous pub a few mins walk away. Burford is also worth visiting which is walkable.

Lovely cottage - very well equipped and nicely located for exploring. We loved the walks from the doorstep. It was a little dark inside due to the small windows. Had everything that we needed but the microwave was in a small cupboard high up. This is seriously unsafe and only our six foot son could safely use and reach it. We highly recommend that this is removed from the cupboard asap and place on a surface.
