Callow Cottage is a delightful holiday home with stylish interiors and cosy log burner. Located in the fabulous village of Bourton-on-the-Water and in easy reach of all it has to offer, this is a superb property for family and friends to get together and explore the area.

Quite honestly, the home has a ton of potential. Great layout and location with parking was fantastic. Bourton is a beautiful village and being walking distance from town centre was great. 3 bedroom set up with a living space was great. However, the house is in a major need of a face lift and clean up. The walls all needed to be repainted as there were scuff marks everywhere, the beds were terrible at all and needed new mattresses, pillows were falling apart, and linens (we didn't even have a top sheet on the primary room upstairs and linens had holes in them), the furniture in the living space has stains on it and holes in it, the cleaning crew did not do a great job before we arrived as there was dirt on the floor and hair in the sinks and bathtub. We enjoyed our holiday in Bourton but would not stay in Callow Cottage again. When I booked I was surprised at the price and now I know why, you get what you pay for.

Main problem was that you could only use one bathroom at a time as the water in the top floor shower would completely stop if somebody was using the bath or shower below. Very inconvenient when everyone is getting ready to go out. Windows extremely dirty at the back. Two big stains on the sofa and some of the bedroom doors won’t close. Apart from that the house was well equipped, milk in the fridge on arrival, biscuits, plenty of coffee capsules for the machine. Prompt reply when informed about the stains on our arrival. Great local bus service.

Really enjoyed our stay only downside was not being able to use the tv as it had no signal. We were notified to a problem with the en suite toilet flash before our arrival but a plumber was on site within 2 hours and had sorted it. Very good service.

We had a wonderful one-week stay at the cottage with two young children. The location is perfect, and there is so much to explore within walking distance. The layout of the cottage is very family-friendly—our children spent hours playing in the courtyard while we relaxed in the sitting room. The neighbors were very welcoming and helpful, too!

Really enjoyed staying here, lovely house and brilliant location. Would have appreciated information on bins and recycling. Highchair was very dirty when we arrived but everything else was very clean.

We enjoyed the house. There was plenty of room for everyone. Adequate crockery and cutlery. Possibly could do with more water glasses and wine flutes.
Only thing I personally didn’t like was all the clears tools, broom, mop, vac etc was just sat in the kitchen.

We stayed as two couples in March 24
The location is perfect however the property is in urgent need of attention. There are a number of maintenance issues, the bedding was terrible and extremely old, I would suggest you check before you book that this has been replaced.
We enjoyed our stay because Bourton on the Water is lovely and having stayed in many cottages this was by far the worst.
Feedback has been given to the owner and they have responded to say the issues will be dealt with.

We had a lovely stay at callow cottage, the property is warm and comfortable with good sized bedrooms. The driveway is tight for two cars but achievable and the parking is really useful. Bourton and the surrounding areas are beautiful and we enjoyed several walks from the doorstep. The only improvement required is tightening up the washers in the top bedroom shower as they leaked significantly. Thanks for a great week!
