We enjoyed our stay in Chapel House which is located in a lovely village with a Co-Op, Bakers and plenty of pubs. The house is 30 min drive to some of the lovely Cotswolds villages which we really enjoyed.
We also had some nice walks around the outskirts of the village.
The only real issue we had with the premises was the heating. We were unable to adjust the under floor heating and it became unbearably hot in the evenings.

Stayed as a family of three, and this property was exactly what we were looking for. It was such a lovely welcoming and comfortable property with everything you could need inside, and the perfect place from which to explore the surrounding area. Some lovely pubs and cafes nearby, and other places to visit a short car ride away. We will certainly be back!

Chapel House is a wonderfully converted chapel, exceedingly comfortable and very warm thanks to the underfloor heating. We had been looking forward to using the log burner, assuming it would be on the cool side as a very old building, but we were very warm so didn't have any need for a fire. This is a nice thing to be disappointed about!!
Bampton is a charming village with lots of history. It's also very convenient for many other lovely Cotswold towns and Blenheim Palace. Storm Darragh curtailed some of our plans, but we had a great week despite the weather.
Stay Cotswold was a very easy company to deal with, from the booking stage right through to the end of the holiday. Shelley, the property manager, was particularly helpful and we can't thank her enough.

The property was really clean, renovated to a high standard and very well equiped. A lovely place to stay. Our only comment is that the heating was set at too high a temperature and we could not turn it either off or down. We had brought logs for the wood burner but could not use and struggled to open windows. I appreciate that the owner did not want the controls messed with but it was quite uncomfortable; the temperature should be lower or there at least be the ability to switch the whole thing off.

Loved our time at Chapel House. Beds could have been a little more comfy, maybe a mattress topper?? Parking would have been better if we could have parked outside the door, did worry about car parked half on the road and half on footpath. Brilliant coffee at Lyndhurst & Co shop.

We stayed a week at this unique chapel conversion in Bampton. We loved the location and the charm of the property. It had a lovely feeling as soon as we walked through the door with the open plan living space. The property is clean and modern with a fully equipped kitchen for all our holiday self catering needs. Two couples staying and the accommodation was just amazing the sitting room is just a wonderful space and the chairs/sofas are really comfortable and there are enough for everybody to spread out if they wish.
The kitchen is excellently equipped and gorgeous and the whole place has been converted and done up to an extremely high standard.
The only comment we would make, apart from the garden seeming from the photographs to be bigger with better seating than it actually is, is that the bedding and linen and especially pillows weren't the best quality particularly the pillows which we thought were really cheap quality, and some of us didn't sleep that well with them so take your own if you are pillow fastpot like I obviously am!
Although I have rated this as excellent value for money that is due to the wonderful space the chapel has reflecting how much we enjoyed staying within this space.
And I'm really sorry I forgot to put the fully stacked dishwasher on before we left!
Although the booking procedure will stay Cotswold was very straightforward the follow-up with lots of emails and lots of documents to open and links that didn't work or seem to tell you nothing was rather ownerous, however the team at stakehotswolds are lovely and very helpful!

Chapel House is a beautiful property, very spacious and full of character. It's extremely well equipped with everything to hand you could possibly need.
It's location in Bampton means it's close to the popular Cotswold towns ans also Oxford and it's surrounding area.
There's no parking outside the property but plenty of, on road parking at the end of the entrance just a few steps away. Great communication with Shelly prior to our stay, we would highly recommend a stay here.

Comfortable stay in Chapel House, good facilities and well looked after and sympathetically converted. Ideal for four people and dog, the log burner is essential for cold evenings.

This lovely modern property is clean and spacious for 4 people occupancy. Very nice fireplace but only the first day logs are supplied. You need to buy your own logs for the remaining days of stay. Walkers Stoves at Burford high street sells really good quality wood logs. You can also buy it from co-op which is just a 100 yards away the property.

Lovely hamper received with butter, eggs, cookies, bread and milk upon arrival (placed on the bar table).

Burford Garden Company is just 10 minutes drive from Bampton. Worth to visit if nowhere to go on rainy days however the price is on high side in general.

Enjoy maximum benefit of your stay from Monday - Friday if possible. the rate is the same for 3 or 4 nights stay during weekdays.

Chapel House has been very well designed to provide all the mod cons needed for a week away whilst still retaining the character of the old chapel. Comfortable stay and an ideal base for us to visit the area around Oxford.

The property has a nice open plan layout albeit it did take us time to sort the light switches! The Welcome Pack was very welcomed. All in all a very enjoyable week.

We spent the Easter weekend at the Chapel House in Bampton. The property has been developed to a high standard and provides 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a large open plan downstairs space. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A lovely welcome hamper in the kitchen included eggs, bread, butter, milk, hot cross buns and chocolate treats. The property was extremely clean. We received a text on our arrival date letting us know that we could enter the property earlier than the 5pm given time which was helpful. Bampton is a lovely village with a couple of pubs, 2 cafes, a very nice restaurant and a butchers and deli. There are some nice walks around the area. We would definitely recommend this property for 2 couples holidaying together. One thing to note is that there is limited outdoor space, no garden at all, no parking on site but available on the local roads.

From the moment you enter the house, you feel welcome. The spacious kitchen with living area exudes class and warmth. We felt very comfortable there during our stay and enjoyed the cosy evenings with dinner in the house. We can only recommend this place. The only thing in mind is the lack of a garden in summer, but the region offers so much nature.

We absolutely loved staying at Chapel House! It is a beautiful home, decorated in a modern way in keeping with its heritage. You can see the attention to detail in all the photographs of the house restoration. There are pubs and a local shop nearby (walking distance) and easy access to all the main towns in the Cotswolds. The house was spotless and there was even milk, butter and bread waiting for us along with tea and coffee! We will definitely be back and would encourage anyone thinking of staying at Chapel House to just go ahead and book - you will not regret it!
