We were two families of four (with children age 3-8), meeting for a long weekend away together.

The house was brilliant, exceeding expectations, and Sandra was very welcoming and helpful during the booking and our stay.

Particular highlights for us were the amazing view, luxury bedding, welcome hamper, cosy fire lit on arrival, everything you needed in the kitchen. The space outside was great too - the kids loved running around in the tennis court and we did a Halloween chocolate hunt in the orchard (immediately opposite the house).

We hope to be back one day.

The property is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were working but it was just the tonic to come home to the cottage where we could easily relax. We loved the personal touches of fresh produce and flowers. It felt like a real treat to stay in the magical setting, waking up to the stunning views. This was our second visit and we shall look forward to returning next year.

What a beautiful house with probably the most stunning views I have ever seen!

We had the most comfortable and convenient stay in this lovely house while we attended my son’s wedding. It provided the perfect combination of comfortable rooms for ourselves and other sons and grandchildren. It is very well equipped and despite fairly dire weather we could be cosy and enjoy the views. I would very much recommend it for anyone planning to explore the stunning countryside in this area.

Fabulous views from this very well equipped accommodation, with lovely grounds for walks and a tennis court for the energetic. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay as an extended family group of 3 generations, with a celebratory meal at The Moody Cow and plenty of places of interest to visit within a short drive of the property. Lots of bird watching opportunities with buzzards and red kite visible from the lounge window and on a walk with a local naturalist a treat to see kingfishers.

Treat yourself. Your worth it.

This is a lovely multi generational house which has good intent towards minimising some of the impact we have on our environment and by doing so, helping us and future generations by reducing, reusing and recycling.

We had a few challenges over the festive season and were very grateful for the consideration, compassion and care that the owners provided us. Kind, informative and helpful when needed. Thank you.

The house is in a lovely quiet, rural position but there is good access to main arterial roads. Views and walks are beautiful. The AGA helps keeps the house warm and comfy whilst also being something that we all naturally congregated towards meaning we had many good evenings talking and playing games in the open planned kitchen and dining room. The teenager choose the bedroom furthest away from everyone else and by doing so, had their own space that enabled them to chill out and listen to their own music whilst they reveled in the fact that every bedroom has a TV!
There is also a separate movie room with a record player so we could listen and watch what we preferred when we had some time to ourselves.
The wood burner in the living room was also a lovely thing to have and kept us warm and toasty when needed.
Raglan castle and Ross on Wye are lovely to mooch around but of course there are also many other places within a short distance to discover.
We have stayed before and we hope to stay again.
Its simply lovely. A real treat to stay here.

Wow - an amazing place to stay!

What an absolutely amazing cottage and grounds. We loved our 2 weeks at Perrycliff Cottage and couldn't have asked for more. We had various combinations of our family and extended family staying - Perrycliff was a perfect place to be with 4 double / twin bedrooms - all with ensuite bathrooms.. The bedrooms were all immaculate, with plenty of storage space, super comfy beds and bedding of a high quality. The bathrooms were sparklingly clean and modern. The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated with so many lovely touches and attention to detail. Two sitting rooms gave plenty of space for people to be apart or together. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and we also made use of the BBQ and pizza oven.

The grounds of the property are stunning - orchard, wood, multiple gazebos / sitting areas, tennis courts and a beautiful pool.- with an amazing view over the surrounding countryside. Sunsets were breathtaking.

My father is disabled and the house worked well for him - with many features (e.g. downstairs bedrooms, hand holds, ramps) to make getting around easier.

Sandra was a brilliant host and answered numerous questions prior to and during our stay and was extremely flexible, helpful and accommodating. Lani also took care of us so well during our stay. Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper.

The Wye Valley and Forrest of Dean are beautiful areas to explore with multiple options for activities: canoeing, mountain biking, high ropes courses, forest / river hikes to name a few - although there were many days that we didn't feel any desire to leave Perrycliff! We will definitely be back.

We stayed as a three generation family of six. The cottage is absolutely superb providing us with the space and creature comforts which we needed
The grandchildren made full use of the tennis court and enjoyed the full outdoors
We enjoyed quiet times in the orchard, with superb views, and in the woodland walks
As the weather was very hot our touring around was cut to a minimum but we still enjoyed the area in particular our visit to Goodrich and Hereford
Sandra and Alan had provided everything that we needed, and more, and certainly went the extra mile for us
In all respects Excellent

If you want a quiet break with magnificent views of Herefordshire in a beautifully appointed stone cottage that is within a ten minute walk of a wonderful village pub that serves great food then look no further.
Sandra the owner lives nearby so is always on hand should you need help.
In so many ways it felt more like a home than the usual self catering premises, we look forward to a return visit.

We stayed for a week and would struggle to find any fault. From the time of booking to the very warm welcome on arrival, Sandra was very helpful with any queries. The house sits in a lovely quiet location with stunning views. The house has been restored very sympathetically, with a contemporary feel while retaining bags of character. Everything you could need is provided, from logs for the fire to a very nice welcome pack.
We were a party of 8 and found the house was very comfortable and spacious for us. We hired a hot tub, which Sandra helped with, to take advantage of the views from the terrace.
We had a fabulous week in this property and would return without any hesitation.

Our 2nd holiday at Perrycliff, we had a very relaxing week - taking in the beautiful views, playing tennis, swimming, cooking on the aga, trying out the new pizza oven, toasting marshmallows over the fire in the orchard and watching the amazing sunsets. Thank you Sandra, we can’t wait to return!

Once again Sandra and her team have exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed our second three generation holiday at Perrycliff and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The cottage feels like a second home now and everything you could possibly want is provided. We had great fun in the pool, played some tennis and had a super afternoon tea topped off with marshmallows over the firepit in the orchard. The rest of the world doesn’t really exist when you’re at Perrycliff Cottage and enjoying the wonderful views and facilities. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

This is a lovely house with every comfort and more. Standards and attention to detail are first rate. There is lots of space inside and out - plenty of room for a party of 8. Sandra is a welcoming, generous and thoughtful host. There is much to explore in Herefordshire which is a beautiful and unspoiled county and we won't be staying anywhere other than Perrycliff Cottage on our return. Highly recommended.

My adult family had a wonderful stay at Perrycliff Cottage. The cottage is beautifully presented and equipped to the highest standard. Sandra was an exemplary host, displaying the perfect balance of a warm welcome, ensuring that we had everything we wanted to make our stay enjoyable and then leaving us to enjoy the property, its many amenities and the surrounding area. It is hard to overstate how gorgeous the view is from the sitting room and terrace of the cottage. We could not believe our luck when we arrived! It was a treat to be able to walk to the Moody Cow in the evening where they took great care to accommodate our various dietary needs (vegetarian and gluten free) and we can also recommend Leonardsat39 in Ross. All in all a great stay we are all keen to repeat.

Located on a ridge overlooking Ross on Wye this cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Wye Valley. A pristine cottage , neat and functional perfect for extended family or a group of friends. Easy open plan space but with private bedrooms , this house is full of space, life and beautiful local decor. We received a very warm welcome from the host and an extremely generous and thoughtful welcome hamper. There are several special corners to discover including a summerhouse and fire pit in the orchard , or you can just relax in the sunshine on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful views or retreat to the lounge with a welcome open log fire and a glass of homemade damson gin.
Nothing was too much trouble to ask of the host and we would love to return one day.

We visited the black and white villages, having a meal at the Salutation Inn in Weobley, We did a lot of reading. On our last day we enjoyed a good meal at the Moody Cow. The view of the Black Mountains is stunni9ng.

We had a really lovely week staying in Perrycliff cottage, it is ideally located in a small village just outside Ross and very close to Symonds Yat and the Forest of Dean. It was very comfortable, immaculately presented, sunny and bright with the most amazing views of the black mountains. Sandra was exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend it and will come back. The Moody Cow is a must, but book ahead to avoid disappointment!

We spent 3 nights at Perrycliff Cottage and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The attention to detail and little touches were over and above what one would expect, and Sandra and Alan had put together a lovely welcome hamper that set the tone for our whole stay. The excellent quality and condition of every single item in the cottage just shows how attentive they are to their guests wants and needs and the standards that they hold themselves to. On top of a full fruit bowl on arrival, we also were invited to help ourselves to fruit and veg from their garden. We felt welcomed & relaxed throughout our stay and Sandra and Alan went above and beyond to make out stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We could not find fault with anything and will absolutely be making a return visit in future!

Thank you for being such fantastic hosts!

We booked Perrycliff Cottage for a week's holiday with our two grown-up children and their partners - it was an excellent choice! The cottage itself is very well-appointed indeed, featuring an Aga, a bread maker, every possible kitchen utensil and super king sized beds for all three couples. The owners had picked an original selection of local Covid-safe products for our welcome pack and even provided some home made sloe gin. We enjoyed dips in the pool, playing tennis and table tennis in the walled garden and sitting by the fire pit while listening to a tawny owl calling in the orchard. The view from the patio is spectacular and we could look over towards Ross-on-Wye and the hills beyond from the comfort of our (hired) hot tub. Also highly recommended: canoeing down the Wye, walking and cycling in the Forest of Dean and eating at no 3 restaurant in Ross. Sandra was so helpful before and during our stay - nothing was too much trouble and we felt genuinely welcome. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We have just come back from the most week at Perrycliff cottage. Everything from start to finish was fantastic! Sandra & Richard were so welcoming and the house was spotless and totally set up for the new covid requirements.
The kids were welcomed with loads to do around the grounds. Swimming, tennis, table tennis. We walked around the woods & orchards & sampled lots of their fresh fruit and veg from the gardens. Sandra arranged the most wonderful woodland survival party for my daughter & Laarni cooked us the most phenomenal meals a few days we were there!
Can’t fault this place! Cosy, comfortable, Impeccably clean & Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our stay was Just perfect!
Thank you all so much x

We had a lovely stay here with 3 generations in the house, and everything we could possibly need. It almost became a personal challenge to come up with something that the kitchen didn’t have!

Sandra was a very considerate hostess, making sure we had everything we needed, but not interfering in any way, and giving us some top tips about where to find some nice eating places.

The house was well-suited to our older teenagers, with Wi-Fi, TV, plenty of space, but we also had some lovely time getting back to the simpler things in life, discovering a surprising enjoyment of jigsaw puzzles!

The house was absolutely IMMACULATE so we had no concerns from a COVID perspective, and it was great to be able to have a separate bedroom and bathroom that my mother-in-law could use on the ground floor.

Lots of lovely touches throughout the house and on arrival, which made it feel like a very luxurious stay.

Perrycliff cottage was the perfect place to stay for our post lockdown holiday! A peaceful location with amazing views from the lounge and terrace. The cottage is five star, exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The owner had clearly gone to great lengths to ensure everything had been properly sanitised and was very welcoming and helpful. A lovely gift hamper was provided on arrival. There is plenty of outdoor space – sunny terraces and a private orchard across the road with summer house, fairy lights and fire pit. We also had use of the owner’s tennis court. A wonderful find, we will be back!

Six old friends spent 4 nights, in early October, at Perrycliff cottage. We had a very warm and helpful reception, with Sandra introducing us to the house and all its amenities. The house is extremely well stocked with all the home comforts, including lots of welcome touches for new arrivals - local apples, brownies, cider, butter, milk, chocolate, chutney etc.. It is a very comfortable home on the edge of Upton Bishop, with plenty of Wye Valley attractions within a 10-15 mile radius. The pub/ restaurant in the village, inappropriately named 'The Moody Cow' , had fabulous food, some of the best we have ever had in a pub situation. Well worth a visit.
During our stay the weather was on some days poor ( the tail- end of a North American hurricane apparently), with lots of flooding. However, the house was so comfortable and welcoming the weather did not spoil our stay.
Well done to the owners and a big thank you .

We stayed here for 5 nights have booked very last minute. The Cottage was outstanding in every aspect, and furnished to a very high standard. There was 4 large bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. The Kitchen was fabulous with an Aga cooker and everything you needed to cook if you wanted to, The views from the lounge were breath-taking, and to be honest I could of stayed in everyday, Everything is very new, and has very carefully been thought about. We had some great days out in the Forest, there is just so much to see and do locally. We ate at No 3 Restaurant in Ross On Wye, and the Moody Cow a few minutes away and very walkable for the cottage.

Sandra the owner was the perfect host and couldn't of done anymore for us. We loved every minute and will definitely going back.

I had spent many hours trying to find a place that met the needs of our three generation group of seven with ages ranging from 15 to 84 and had nearly given up when I came across Perrycliff cottage - It looked perfect on the website and in real life was even better!
The quality and attention to detail was apparent from my first conversation with Sandra the owner and her help in setting up a secret birthday cake and arranging a couple of restaurant bookings for us. When we arrived at the cottage we were blown away - the welcome pack, the size of the rooms, the endless supply of gadgets to play with in the kitchen and of course the amazing view.
We made full use of the tennis court and played a few rounds of golf at South Herefordshire golf course which was only 4 minutes away and visible from the cottage. We ate lovely meals at the Moody Cow and the Alma, we made full use of the breadmaker, the Aga, the coffee pot, enjoyed beans from the garden and toasted marshmallows on the fire-pit.
The luxury of having 4 ensuites and two ground floor bedrooms makes this cottage suitable both for multi generational families and groups of couples alike. The quality of the accommodation and the fact that Sandra has thought of everything means I would wholeheartedly recommend Perrycliff cottage to everyone.

With a fabulous location overlooking the market town of Ross-on Wye this cottage is well placed for sight seeing from the Cotswolds to the Welsh borders. It is very comfortable with all modern amenities and our family would not hesitate to stay here again.

We arrived at Perrycliff Cottage looking forward to some much needed R&R in a comfortable, quiet space, and from the moment we arrived our expectations were exceeded in every way. The delicious welcome hamper full of local produce and the fresh flowers in every room immediately reflect the owners' attention to detail and their desire to provide their guests with everything needed for a relaxing break. The cottage is most spacious, extremely comfortable, exceptionally well equipped and well designed for multi-generational parties. The terrace overlooking the valley is a perfect suntrap and the views of the valley and the mountains in the distance are absolutely breathtaking. The owners generously shared their lovely grounds with us - and the produce from their vegetable garden! - which was an added bonus.
Perrycliff Cottage is a very special place and after a perfect stay we know that we will be returning - often!

Flexible accomodation of a high standard and with sufficient communal space that allowed family and friends to enjoy the festive season. Local products are in abdunance with many treats provided for us to enjoy and sample. Comfortable and practical bedrooms that are all ensuite and the kitchen with an Aga is a joy to be in. The views from the main living area are glorious as are walks in the area. The movie room was a good space for the younger members of our party to have some relaxing time whilst within sight. Having this extra communal space was advantageous.
Pleasantly surprised by the neighbouring villages and towns which are nice for and afternoon ramble. Map of Mundi in Herfeord Cathedral is worth a visit.
Warm ,welcoming and a treat to visit. Enough privacy with the area feeling safe and secure.
Rare to find such helpful , professional and thoughtful owners whose integrity , help and advice was very much appreciated.
In my husbands words " it was really , really good". I am sure what he meant to say is " thank you Darling for finding somewhere so nice for us to spend some quality with family with friends."

Gorgeous Perrycliff Cottage, deserves its 5* Gold rating!

Perrycliff Cottage is fitted to a very high standard - everything you need for a family gathering. Tastefully decorated with lovely furniture and very comfortable beds. The kitchen is amazing and the Aga is a wonderful focal point. The downstairs accommodation was much appreciated by older members of the party, having a walk in shower room too. Handy local pub serves fabulous food and Ross on Wye is also on the door step. Highly recommended.
