We really enjoyed our stay in Ap’t 9. Beds were comfortable. Only king bed we found in all our UK travels this time! It was great having 2 bathrooms. All nicely renovated. Used the kitchen a lot—it is well equipped! Appreciated having the washing machine for our laundry. It is a quiet neighborhood. Nice parking space. Great views from the windows of the fells beyond the town. Great location within the town (close to stores, pubs,…). Lots of hikes of all lengths and difficulty levels you can do right from Sedbergh. Stayed at Howgills for a few days with colleagues, excellent venue and location, orienteering event and local Chef were great additions, perfect place to relax and at the same time get business done.
A group of 23 really enjoyed our stay at Howgills barn. We loved the communal areas, outside hot tub area and the stunning location of Sedbergh. Some of the group were apprehensive about bunk beds but the beds were really comfy, the bedding was crisp white and we had en-suite facilities. The kitchen was so well equipped and thought had gone into so many little things (such as, a fantastic idea to have a tea and coffee area in the porch to save too many people trying to get into the compact kitchen!). A friend and I were walking the Dales Way and found the apartment very comfortable and conveniently located.
Howgills apartment in Sedbergh was easy to find with parking included outside. It was very clean, with a well appointed kitchen, quick Wi-Fi, and lots of clear information about the apartment and information on the surrounding area. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it - wish we’d been able to stay longer.

Four of us stayed for one night during our Dales Way walk. The apartment was perfect - really clean and comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It's a great central location and I would definitely stay again, and would be very happy to spend a few days there. The booking process was very slick, and the customer service we received when we encountered a slight problem on arrival (due to a misunderstanding) was brilliant - Nigel was on the scene to sort it out without delay. Highly recommended.
We stayed as a party of 5 for a long weekend in order to watch a local sports tournament. Unfortunately even though it was July, the weather was very unpredictable which meant we had to spend a little more time indoors sheltering. The apartment was perfect. It was an excellent base for exploring, as well as having the space to relax and watch TV during the rain breaks from the sports tournament. We would highly recommend the apartment.
Hi Fantastic location. WARM rooms. Lovely clean bedding and bathrooms. We only were charged per bed. Thank you. The barn was open during the day which was helpful and we could park our cars there whilst we walked so it was all very laid back. Plenty of fridge space, cutlery, glasses and crockery however, one cooker over heated badly, not sure how the dishwasher worked and I think you should buy some brand new pans! We couldnt experience the Hot Tub for some reason........ which was disappointing.
We wanted a last minute no frills family room in the middle of nowhere with fantastic walks from the door. We also wanted hot tub access. The rooms were basic but had all you needed. The kitchen was well stocked, spacious and easy to use. The living/dining space was relaxed and again spacious. The hot tub was the highlight due to the views as you soaked. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. For a last minute night away it was a little over priced in my Yorkshire opinion and the hidden dog charge/ hot tub charge wasn't advertised on the website but we thoroughly enjoyed our entire sta...more
