Warm welcoming cottage seconds from the beach. Wonderful location near shops and restaurants. Very quiet. Parking space a real bonus. We would happily stay here again.

As usual everything perfect. The apartment is exceptionaly clean. Has all you need in the way of self catering.

We cannot wait for our next visit. We are never dissapointed.
Even in the bad weather there is plenty to do and shops to visit.
The eateries and pubs are a stones throw away a great plus if the weather is bad.

Had a great stay in a very well laid out apartment. Right in the middle of town, only a few minutes from lovely beach cafe and the quay , beach and shops. Car park space only 50 mtrs away very handy

The apartment was lovely and it could not have been in a better location. All on one level...ground floor...so great for my elderly parents. Everything you needed was there..and having a parking space was brilliant. Although a little tricky to navigate the drive through Looe!
We would definitely stay here again if visiting Looe.

Excellent location for a staycation in Looe. The inclusion of a rare parking space at this end of the town added to the appeal. Just yards from the beach, Banjo pier and quayside. Restaurants, shops and a grocery store are no more than a few minutes walk. The owners have included everything you would need for your stay.

Lovely apartment, modern and well kept. We stayed for 5 nights as a family of 4 with my disabled mum, husband and daughter and there was plenty of room for us all. Perfect location close to beach and shops, I would highly recommend and stay here again.

Second visit. Loved it so much on the First visit we could not wait to return for a longer period.
The apartment is spotless. Has all you need for self catering. Plenty of eateries nearby and Pubs. Ground floor so easy accessible for the older person.
Parking a definite plus. Short distance to the beach, Boat trips and water sports a stones through away.
I cannot think of a better place to stay.
I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment ...it ticks all the boxes.

I cannot wait to return....best self catering I have ever visited, and I have travelled the length and breath of UK and abroad.

We were met by Claire on arrival who had just finished preparing the cottage. She was very pleasant and the cottage was extremely clean and well presented. There was a lovely welcome package of Wine and crisps and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need for your stay.
The cottage was cosy and warm, wifi excellent and TV reception great.
The bedrooms again, were warm and beds very comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
The Bathroom was spacious bright and clean, plenty of hot water and there was a variety of towels sizes. A large relaxing bathtub as well as a large shower cubicle plus a big heated towel rail to keep your towels warm!
All in All the cottage is in the perfect location for the beach, harbour and town, with the added bonus of an allocated parking space.

Beautifully presented ground floor flat conversion in historic building but with every modern convenience you could think of. Warm (our visit was in March), comfortable and immaculately clean. Every detail and need catered for by the owners. The parking space was a God-send - would not have wanted to do without it. No sea view, but you are only a few metres from the beach.

Lovely comfortable apartment. Few minor problems that have been relayed to owners. When/ if these are resolved it would certainly warrant a five star for everything.
Having parking space in Looe was certainly a big bonus.

The cottage was a delight - comfortable and well-equipped. Great location within easy walking distance of all that Looe has to offer. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. An issue with the toilet was resolved promptly and professionally. Loved the location, so close to the beech and we loved the layout of the apartment. Even though it was a short stay it was very memorable thanks to the service and accommodation.

Will definitely be planning another trip next year.

The apartment is very comfy and very well equipped. Lovely to be able to walk from the apartment around Looe and also along the coastal path without having to drive everywhere. This has been our 2nd stay at the Apartment and I had noticed the upgrades made to the property subcd the last time I stayed in 202. The location is great, literally 2 mins walk to the beach and all shops within walking distance. Hosts are very warm, friendly and easily accessible.

We had a lovely stay and everything was perfect, it was like a home from home. We loved the fact that the cottage was so well equipped, the little touches like having dishwasher tablets, coffee, sugar and a small bottle if wine was lovely
We would love to return to Looe in the near future and 'The museum cottages' will definitely be our first choice, we have stayed in Hotels in the area previously but found the museum appartment much more comfortable, it was lovely to have the freedom to do what we wanted to do at our own pace. Lovely accommodation, we felt very welcomed and at home straight away

A perfectly lovely apartment in the heart of Looe with a secure parking place. Tastefully furnished with all amenities provided. The place is clean and warm which we were grateful for as the weather wasn’t good. It’s near the shops and the beach.

Having trawled through the usual websites offering expensive or unavailable accomodation, we stumbled on the Museum Apartment via Google Maps. What a piece of luck... The website painted the picture, availability was good, IT HAD PARKING nearby, so we booked.
What you see is definately what you get. The Museum Apartment is such good value and gave us a comfortable base to explore Looe. Open the door a within seconds you have the beach and the harbour, plus shops, bars and cafe's. With great weather on day one we wandered around places we'd previously visited, at the bridge end of town. Day two brought driving rain, so with coats zipped up, we stayed closer to the apartment, using the narrow streets as the perfect protection against the elements until we relented and returned with some Cornish goodies to the warmth of the Museum to dry out.
Thank you Paul, this is now going to be my first search when planning a short break in Cornwall. (My only concern is that everyone else will be doing the same thing).

We have stayed quite often in the museum apartment and every time it has been an excellent break and very clean throughout. We were very upset to hear that the property was flooded last year and closed for approx 6 months.
The refit and decor is kept to a high standard that it was before and the beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I have put a rating of 4 instead of 5 for comfort purely for the reason that I found the new settee not comfortable at all and found myself sitting at the table and chairs to watch TV in the evenings, the black leather settee prior to the flooding was very comfortable and a nice way to rest at the end of a busy day of walking and sight seeing.
Albeit I would definitely book to stay here again, we are regular visitors to Looe with an average of 10 stays a year and stayed in many apartments within the east side of Looe and the museum apartment is still our favourite by far

Excellent apartment in the heart of Looe and with parking!
Recently refurbished - one thing I'd change would be the mattress but that's because I prefer amemory type mattress these days but overall we love the place and have used it 3 or 4 times and will continue to do so

We stayed at the Museum Apartment for 4 nights and the Apartment was perfect and we could not fault it. Perfect location and handy parking space too. Great instructions provided for getting to Apartment and getting in to the property with ease. The Apartment is very clean and comfortable with everything that you could possibly need, great period features with modern comforts ! If/when we visit Looe again in the future we will definitely be staying at the Museum Apartment.

My wife and I stay in Looe at least once a month, this can be from a short 2 day stay to a week at a time, we have stayed in other cottages as well as B&B’s in Looe but always try to stay in the Old Museum apartment whenever possible. we have managed to stay in this accommodation twice in the last 2 months and hopefully again sometime soon
The owner Paul has been very accommodating and professional when dealing with our enquiries, we have also stayed in his other apartments (Sand Dune & Sand Martin) which are also to a high standard
A great location, very clean and thoroughly recommended, can not wait to get back

The Old Museum is perfectly placed a stones throw from the beach and right in town. My wife is a little disabled so having no stairs or steps works for us, and also being in town means we don’t have to negotiate the (quite steep) hills. Spotlessly clean and fully functioning apartment with a secure parking spot! Great value.
We have used this apartment before and will do again. Highly recommended!

We have been staying in all three apartments for some years now so we have probably said it all before. For a longer break the Old Museum is the best giving you a little more space and overall comfort. The added parking space makes everything so easy although driving in and out of the town during the day isn't recommended given the amount of people even later in the season. The age of the building (and it's original purpose) means there isn't a lot of natural light but the interior lighting makes up for it without any issue. Really cosy and comfortable and good value, we'll be back again for sure.

The museum apartment is in a perfect location in Looe. Really close to the beach and shops/ restaurants, but hidden away from the main flow of people. It has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend this apartment.

This is our fourth stay and The Old Museum and as before everything more than met our expectations. It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything that you may need. Paul is a very considerate host as we had to change our dates twice due to travel restrictions and at all times he was very considerate and most helpful. We will definitely return.

We arrived early and were allowed to have our room straight away. The apartment is 2 mins from the beach and has everything you could think of. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I travelled with my 2 children aged 14 and 12 who both thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely be looking to return again next year, if not earlier.

You can’t get a better place to stay than The Old Cornish Museum.

We lived staying here - the location was perfect with the sea and beach on our doorstep, with local shops and eating places all within minutes walk.

We have stayed in Looe a number of times and find the location and lay out of this property to have everything that we wanted, so close to the beach and restaurants and harbour, but still quiet (apart from the odd seagull). the property is always clean and has a very nice kitchen, nice big bathroom with bath and shower, and the bed is comfy. Well worth a visit we will be back again.
