We had a wonderful 3 night break. Lovely open site with so much space. Everything was thought out. Having a private shower room was wonderful as all damp stuff was kept out of our tent. We love to have a fire when we can and consider it part of the joy of camping so the provision of a fire pit and supply of wood kindling fire lighters and even matches was a wonderful touch. I can highly recommend this site for families. The local pub The Ostrich Inn is walkable to and serves really good food.
A peaceful week in a beautiful location. We did very little and didn't venture far but this was the much needed tonic to our busy working lives. Thank you
We love glamping at Exton Park! It’s a great location with lots of things to do that are close to the site. The tents are really well appointed and have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The honesty shop is handy and the site manger is really helpful. Thanks, I’m sure we’ll be back!
Great experience from booking to our stay. Good weather probably enhanced our break. Lovely peaceful site, fantastic clean tents with very good bathroom facilities. Lots of extras provided, hence good value for money. Lots to do in the area with a short drive, although there is no where to eat or drink without driving. Would definitely recommend for a lovely family break.
Very peaceful, comfortable place to stay We have been 3 times and our granddaughter had loved it and we have made great memories each time
Another wonderful weekend enjoyed by all the family. The Sweffling site is in an amazing central location, this allowed us to explore all that Suffolk has to offer, from stepping back in time at Framlingham Castle to enjoying Fish and Chips on the beach at Aldeburgh. We were blessed with good weather over the weekend which resulted in some beautiful sun rises and sunsets! The Tent itself is well equipped and has everything you need for a chilled off the grid weekend. We especially enjoyed our evenings in front of the fire pit outside. Would definitely book again and recommend to family and...more
We’ve “glamped” a few times, and this was without doubt the most comfortable and well appointed location. It’s beautiful, brilliantly located just outside Glastonbury, convenient for many Somerset attractions. It’s run by a friendly and helpful family who did all they could to ensure a smooth stay. We miss it already! Electrical sockets, lights, on demand hot water, gas hob - all great. Comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. Definitely the “glam” end of the glamping spectrum. Pizza ovens were fun, and all communal areas were lovely too. Highly recommended.
Such a wonderful weekend at Exton Park. June was super helpful on arrival and if we had any issues during our stay. The tents are so well equipped and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. The site is very well kept with lots of things in the honestly shop, and it was great to have the sun shining for our weekend. We will be back for sure.
We were super impressed with the campsite. The tents were huge and well kitted out. The beds were heavenly, they were extremely comfortable and warm which was great during the colder nights. We cooked over the fire pit outside which we would really recommend doing, it really completes the whole experience. It's a fantastic area outside to cook and eat, and for kids to play. We look forward to going back again at some point in the future :)
We probably didn’t pick the right time in the year to go Glamping but the tent was very nice and cosy. Charles, the owner was helpful with navigation and brought us more wood as well. Could recommend more!
This is an absolutely charming glamping option, with the railway carriage beautifully converted to very cosy accommodation for one or two. In summer, it's lovely to spend the evening in the small but very comfortable seating area. While the carriage is in the garden of a large house, sensitively applied fencing and planting means that it feels very private to the glampers. All the essentials are in the kitchenette, the shower is great, the bed is very comfortable - everything has been thought of to make for a lovely stay; all with a distinct style which is delightful. Highly recommended if yo...more
Well what can I say 10 out 10 Amazing ticked all our boxes and can’t wait to go back with my family .
Beautiful, peaceful location. Perfect for visiting Glastonbury and surrounding areas. The quality and thoughtfulness which has gone in to creating these glamping tents is incredible!! Absolutely everything you could possibly need. Luxurious bedding and towels and even electric blankets on the beds! Jono, the host, was so welcoming and helpful. Just would've been nice to stay for a bit longer but will definitely be returning to this lovely site.
Great stay in 2 of the Glamping tents. Very comfortable and everything was provided. Jono was a brilliant host and explained all we needed to know. Was on hand should we have needed him. Accommodation was very well stocked and to a very high spec. Thoroughly enjoyed and impressed.
We took a family of four to stay - amazing setting, beautiful views. The pod was big enough for us, and plenty of space for children to play outside. Plenty of things to do nearby (Pickering area) or a longer drive to the coast for Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay etc. and the Wold way on the doorstep.
We really enjoyed our stay. The tent was comfortable and well provisioned. Our children really liked being able to have a fire outside and to do some cooking on the fire. We appreciated having a bathroom and shower attached to the tent! Nice view from the front of the tent, felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet except for birds and animals.
It was a lovely unusual place to have a great break away from the business of life where we could relax and just have some time for the two of us. Totally recommend it
We had an amazing experience in the heart of Ribble Valley. We stayed for a couple nights with our 1 year old and the tent had plenty of space to move about in. Definitely pack for cold nights even in the summer as it's close to a river. We woke up to the sound of sheep, birds and cows each morning. Beautiful part of the country, nearest good shop and pub is 15 mins drive. A must is lunch at Inn at Whitewell.
Beautiful place great location only things is the sofa bed was really small and uncomfortable and could do with a bigger size mirror in bathroom but apart from that really nice place to stay
Perfect location for a secluded relaxing weekend, pods were extremely comfortable and homely with all the amenities and more. Paula and her daughter were very very welcoming and accommodating. Not a single thing to fault and we will definitely return at a later date.
The host Andrew is a lovely chap who was very helpful and accomodating. We had a wonderful time in Suffolk, lots to do and see locally. The accommodation was comfortable and very peaceful at night. We all slept very well giving us much needed rest.
Honestly the place is perfection so peaceful and quiet. We got very lucky and had the whole spa to ourselves and Amanda was lovely really approachable and chatty would definitely stay again
Last minute booking without particular expectation. Delighted to find this perfect spot in its own private meadow. The dog was in heaven. Milk, bread and wild flowers in a vase to greet us. Super comfy beds. Bag of meat delicious on the BBQ. Cafe attached was serving proper coffee and brunch (note not open every day). Slight double booking cock up by Glamping Hideaways but Carolyn and Clive stepped in to sort us out.
We were pleasantly surprised by just how comfortable we were, as it was our first time glamping. Despite a massive thunderstorm on our second night, there were only a few leaks at the door frame. Otherwise all snug & cosy. The fire/oven kept us toasty & we enjoyed being free of tv/phones. Would definitely come back, especially as it is dog friendly and has lovely walks nearby.
We had a fabulous time in Curlew. The tent is spacious yet cosy and very comfortable with everything you could need provided. Rachel was really friendly and helpful with check in, thank you! The location was lovely and peaceful for a relaxing family weekend. We’ll definitely return!
Lovely setup, owner very helpful. Wood fired hot tub great and all within easy walking distance (10 mins) along the canal of Talybont. Great base to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park
Lovely stay, we were able to switched off and relax in the safari tents, with all the comforts of a great glamping stay! Loved the log burning oven, the comfy beds and all the little touches including deck chairs, hot water bottles and candles.
This is a beautiful setting for a break away in the countryside. A really novel place to stay that's a bit different but has everything you need. It does help when the sun shines so you can enjoy the deck, the views and sunsets. Very helpful owners and lovely to be able to walk around their farm, especially to visit the two black pigs!
Lovely place, quiet, serene, comfy with everything necessary. Perfect for a summer weekend break. No other people on the site, countryside is beautiful, lots of walks to be had and a pub a walkable distance away. Perfect.
We stayed for a couple of nights here and loved it!! It’s such a fantastic getaway! We loved having the outdoor kitchen and bath as well as a seating area with the hot tub! It was blissfully quiet as we were in the middle of nowhere and it seemed like we were the only people around! We even swam in the wild pool which was an excellent experience with lots of laughs! I would definitely recommend a stay at the whoa-stop!!
We loved the glamping experience and enjoyed the peaceful setting at Black Pig Retreats. The safari tent was well equipped to a high standard, with attention paid to detail. The hosts were friendly and helpful. As a family of 6 it was a little more cramped in terms of the 'kitchen' area for cooking and the fridge space was very small. Additionally, there were only 4 chairs at the table inside, but that wasn't a big deal as we didn't eat inside very often. As the great British weather was a bit disappointing it was lovely to have the wood burning fire inside in the evening when it turned mo...more
This was our second holiday at the glamping site and it was just as amazing as last year. Children loved exploring the area and having marshmallows around the fire. We had a few clear nights so were able to see the stars which was really nice. The camp is very clean and comfy and I would definitely recommend.
Perfect for an autumn weekend. Great to be so close to the outdoors yet cosy and comfortable. The children loved the space to roam and explore. Good facilities for cooking, eating & keeping warm. We all enjoyed the simplicity of life without electricity and the magic of lanterns & firelight.
We had a fabulous Easter weekend just relaxing in the great out doors. The safari tent offered everything we needed even hot water bottles which was a god send as the morning were cold. Can’t wait to go back for another visit soon. The children and dogs had a great time too
Although it was a nice get away we didn’t expect to be so close to the owners home. We could hear them in the garden in the morning and felt it wasn’t as private as we had hoped. The hot tub is a nice idea but it took a good few hours to get up to temperature. We was under the impression fire starters/fire wood for the hot tub was included in the price having paid extra for the use of it but later found a note asking to leave money is an honesty box. We was told it is a 10 min walk to the closest pub but it took about 7 mins by car so I find that hard to believe. As for cleanliness of the hut ...more
We had a wonderful weekend at Sweffling Hall to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Laura & Andrew are lovely people and we cannot fault our stay! Our experience of the Forest Bathing/Meditation with Laura was informative and fun as Laura is very knowledgeable. We are definitely returning next year!
Very nice location. Very quiet and spacious, also basic, no fridge or lights. Not a real problem but the price should reflect the lack of basics. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plus the free logs for the stove and fire pit was a real bonus.
A really unique and fun experience! Impressive response time from site manager (less than five minutes!) when we needed some help. Not as interesting or scenic as some other sites we have been to but still a lovely countryside, peaceful setting. A few minor repairs needed but nothing which affected the practicality or enjoyment of our stay. Be mindful to request a tent on flat ground if a lot of steps high up to the entrance would be an issue for any of your guests. Overall, we would happily visit again.
We arrived an couldn't reach anyone to provide help getting checked in. Lady was quite abrupt and didn't really feel welcome. Likewise when we asked for more logs for the hot tub our request was met with abruptness and we were told to wait until staff had tended to horses . We eventually went and got more wood ourselves from a different lady who was extremely friendly The location was as we wanted but we expected an oven to be able to cook our meals but it was a microwave oven so couldn't make what we planned. We were happy with the hartley hut itself but the customer service and welcome let ...more
