We spent two fabulous nights at the Morven Lodge. The lodge had all the essentials we required and was immaculately presented. The BBQ hut is a great feature and made for a lovely dinner.

We had a lovely stay in Morven lodge. The location was beautiful and the lodge was the cleanest and most luxurious of our whole trip (we stayed in 9 different places en route). The bbq hut was an extra fun part of they stay.

wow! The morven Lodge was everything we wanted and more. Peaceful and tranquil setting just so relaxing. Everything you need is there for you. The bbq hut was fantastic we ate in there 5 out of 6 nights. Sharon was only a text away if you needed anything. Honestly we will return again. Absolutely % superb.

Our 2nd visit and still excellent. Peace, comfort and relaxation. A great place for an escape.
The only sound is that of sheep munching grass, the lodges are excellently equipped and your left wanting for nothing. A great host that provides everything as described and more.

My family of 6 stayed at the lodges. They are clean, well equipped and in a quiet location. The BBQ hut is amazing, the kids loved it. We were invited to see the lambs. There is loads to do in the area. Sharon was so helpful, super communication. Highly recommend.

Caithness View and our particular lodge, Morven Lodge, provided us with a very private and magical few days in the Caithness area and a wonderful base to begin our trip around the north and west coasts of Scotland. The lodge was immaculate and well apportioned in every way and we could not have asked for more. Of particular mention was the indoor kitchen and BBQ hut.

Everything seems to be new on high standards, very good insulation against the winds, comfortable beds and an absolutely cozy barbecue hut as ‚killer feature‘. The next supermarket is a ten minute drive away in Wick. It‘s just a great place to stay and to explore the region.
Only one little thing: in the main room one or two coat hooks would be good.

A brilliant lodge with everything we needed and more. Great hosts, great location and lots of extras that made the stay unique and memorable. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. A peaceful and relaxing base for our holiday. It was great to retreat here each day after seeing what Caithness had to offer. Having the sheep as neighbours for our stay was something we miss already. What we would give to be sitting on the decking again looking out to the beautiful view. We’ll certainly be back.

We had a fabulous stay at Morven Lodge. The accommodation was really comfortable and the view was just perfect for a relaxing stay. The added bonus of the private bbq hut was super fun. We bought meat from a butcher in nearby Castletown who had an extremely impressive selection of food to barbecue.
Sharon and her family were so welcoming and my kids were very lucky to experience being able to feed some lambs as well as watch some live births. Memories that will last a long time.
Thoroughly recommend this lodge for all types of holidaymakers. A beautiful part of the world to visit.

Short stay very cosy and comfortable. All amenities provided well thought out. The BBQ hut was fantastic giving us a perfect place for family to come over to enjoy our get together. Again all amenities provided. Beef burgers from Castletown butcher went down fast! Would definitely highly recommend it as a base to explore the county. Thanks for a great visit.

Planning our tour of the North Coast 500 route we wanted a variety of different and interesting accommodation to stay in encroûté so we chose Morven Lodge. It surpassed our expectations, bright, clean and plenty of accommodation for the two of us. We took advantage of the BBQ hut and enjoyed our walks directly from the lodge along the lanes. Well equipped, comfortable beds and plenty of lovely hot showers. We would love to come back!

I am full of praise for Caithness View. The site is excellent with easy access to Wick Thurso and John o Groats. The chalet is very comfortable and has all you could want. I hope to be able to get back up there again and last but not least the owners are very nice helpful people and easy to deal with. Five stars all round I would say.

If you are looking for self catering accommodation in Caithness, look no further. This is a great set up, very private but with extensive views and sheep as neighbours.
Clean, comfortable and very well equipped.
The barbecue hut may seem like a gimmick but it is great. We ended up using it every night, great fun and it can be used in all weathers.
We’ll be back!

I was more than delighted when we arrived at Morven Lodge, Caithness. Its location is utterly stunning, the lodge itself is so cosy and welcoming. Its perfectly clean and feels fresh and new. Can’t recommend Caithness View Lodges highly enough. We stayed for 3 nights recently, everything you could possibly need has been provided for you. The lodges are very private except for the communal garden below the lodges decking area, where games can be played. The beds were extremely comfortable. The weather was lovely so we were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the lovely views. The private BBQ hut was amazing. We would also recommend a trip to Orkney from Gills Bay. We will definitely be back to Caithnes View Lodges.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in August 2020 during the midst of the global pandemic. We had received excellent directions to the lodge which was extremely well positioned – wonderfully calm and peaceful but not too far from the amenities of some large supermarkets and shops in Wick. We were able to use the lodge as a base for exploring many of the attractions of the east coast. The lodge was spotless and we appreciated and were reassured by the details given as to the cleaning measures that had been undertaken (which were signed and dated). The quality of the bedding and mattresses in the lodge was excellent. There was ample crockery and cooking utensils. The shower was brilliant with a rainforest head and lovely soft towels. The kids loved the lighting settings on the fire which gave the lodge a cool glow (without having to have heat). Sharon was wonderfully helpful when the cooker operation flummoxed us – which was in large part due to us not spotting the instructions that were in plain sight in the kitchen! The quality of the wifi surprised us given the location – though don’t expect city centre speeds! The star of the show was undoubtedly the BBQ hut – which we all loved. Surprisingly and deceptively spacious – it gave us some smore making memories we will treasure. During a 2 week roadtrip around Scotland we were blessed with wonderful accommodation throughout. Morven Lodge was perhaps the quirkiest and one of the smallest– looking like a Hobbit House – and it’s a reflection of how much we loved the place to say we can’t think of single thing that we would change about the lodge or a single disappointment we had about our time there. We would have no hesitation in recommending Caithness View Lodges. Peaceful location, wonderful views and fantastic private BBQ hut, which we used twice during our stay. The lodge was a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. We would also recommend a day in Orkney by catching the ferry from Gills Bay only a 10 minute drive away. We will definitely return.
