Property was in a great location and easy walk to everything. Check in was easy with a carpark. The apartment was very comfortable with everything you would need, I'm looking forward to staying here again.
The six of us had an excellent weekend, the accommodation was brill, quiet at night, plenty room inside and it was a splendid location.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The living room and master bedroom were exquisite and very comfy. Would definitely recommend staying here for a memorable trip.
Greatbase were very helpful and made the whole process a delight. They will be my first port of call should I need to stay in Edinburgh again.
I dont really know where to start with this review. Firstly it couldn't have a better location for Central Edinburgh absolutely perfect. Literally 1 min walk to the castle. The views out of the windows was stunning. We booked this as a surprise 40th birthday trip for a friend of ours. Upon entering the property every single person was bowled over. First thing you notice is the shear size. The place is ginormous. When you book placed online normally the photos have been taken by a professional photographer and it in person it never actually looks like the phots. Well with this place the phot...more
Cozy bright apartment with separate entrance, quiet area, very good location to buses, rose st., princes garden, castle
A lovely stay in this central Edinburgh apartment, just ten minutes down the slope from Prices Street. The location is ideal for both the city centre, old town and castle as well as the Botanical gardens in the new town. One large bedroom with comfy bed and en-suite shower room and a large kitchen, diner, lounge with a quaint view of the street above from the sofa. Well equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge, hob, pots and pans, kettle and toaster. Access is down a short flight of steps from Dundas Street. Corner shops nearby and a big Tesco a ten minute walk away as well as plent...more
Great Location, unexpected spaciousness, and the rest just to make up the character limit for the review box
Lovely apartment to explore Edinburgh, lovely decorated, nice and big front room, bed room are lovely, comfortable beds, enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay at Heriot Row. The beautiful architecture and spaciousness of the rooms was lovely. Furnishings, however were a little tired, scratched, sagging, and the main table for dining was unusable as the top was not stable. Kitchen was well stocked, however, and very usable. Stuart was very responsive to my emails and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The flat was clean and quiet--close enough to the main sites, but far enough away to be out of the fray. Walking or bus ride got us where we needed to be, and beautiful neighborhood around the flat.
The apartment in Jamaica Lane is ideal to discover Edinburgh city without the need of public transport. While being central it is nevertheless very quiet, especially at night. Close to Stockbridge you find restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The interior is used but tidy. The beds/mattresses in the second bedroom could/should be more comfortable. We would book this flat again.
Very well situated flat. Very clean, tidy and warm. Very comfortable. Well equipped. Would stay there again
Made a few recommendations to Greatbase Apartments on how things could be improved. I received a positive response to this and hope that action will be taken for the sake of future guests. I also reported that cleanliness was not up to expectations so they will look into that as well. The location in Trinity was absolutely ideal for us and we do have relations who may use Green Cottage in the future.
We were 3 friends staying to visit Edinburgh and the apartment was perfect. The location was central to everything we wanted to visit. Very spacious and really well equipped! Lovely bedding and towels. Great space were really really helpful. Definitely recommend and stay again!
Nice flat, in the heart of old town. Close proximity to everywhere and the station. Nice shops and restaurants around. I
Couldn’t really fault anything with the apartment was all clean and in good condition, the location it great short 10 minute walk from train station and 5 from the bus.
We booked the apartment specifically as a base for the Edinburgh Fringe 2020 and had to postpone the booking to 2021. We were lucky that the fringe took place and that the apartment was close to the venues. There was good WIFI in the flat. This was important as we were constantly booking shows as they were added to the fringe. (And some of our group wanted to play computer games) The property is the start of the Old Town with the Castle visible from the front door. It’s close to a Sainsbury's local and restaurants, cafes and bars. The trams are within walking distance, as are the buses....more
we found out just a week before our stay that our apartment was four flights of stairs up. great location, but from the graffiti on the front door of the building, to the single paned windows with partially rotten wooden frames that needed replacing to the burn mark on the kitchen counter, and finally to the neighbors in #8 who left their shoes and mop bucket in the hallway, this property.has room for much improvement. Lastly, the cleaning lady who used her key to let herself in at 9:16 am on our departure day, that seemed inappropriate.
