The cottage is beautifully situated in Milldale along the River Dove. We stayed here in mid-September with our two dogs and family, occupying both Riverside Cottage and Duck Cottage. The two cottages worked so well for our family, enabling us to self-cater, as both cottages are equipped to a high standard. The situation of the cottages on the River Dove meant that as soon as you walked out of the door, you were in the middle of the most amazing landscape and the start of a new adventure. We absolutely loved our stay at Duck cottage, from the gorgeous welcome hamper to the walk recommendations in the info book it has everything you could need. We had our 6 month old with us and Sarah and Andy very kindly provided a travel cot with sheets, highchair and there are also children’s plates and cups. It made for a perfect getaway with walks on the doorstep, pubs and a cute shop selling coffee, cakes and ice-creams just opposite. Thanks, we will definitely be back!
