Tumbledown is the most beautifully equipped and comfortable set up. Everything has been thought of and beautifully executed to the smallest detail. David and Sarah are very hospitable and thoughtful as well as making you feel very much at home. The are is great right on the edge of the best bits of Exmoor but also easy to get to with the most beautiful village of KNowstone right on your doorstep
Once again we returned to Hawkings Hideaway for a blissful escape from the maddening crowds. Hitting the pause button on our normal busy life was just what we needed. Our third stay and one I willl never get tired of. This time we brought both our little dogs to share the break with. They loved the space, open fields, watching the deer from the decking in the mornings and rabbits at dusk. With close proximity to Woolacombe and the coast they had a whale of a time. We had stayed in the Endsleigh on the way down and then two nights in Tresanton and on the way back fancied somewhere different. Luckett Farm is a real find. Really out of the way but well worth it. So quiet and fabulously appointed/decorated. One night just isn't enough - you want to stay a few days to take it all in. And having a Michelin starred pub (with reasonable prices) just 10 minutes away - what is not to like.
