After a difficult year as a family we decided to go away for the New Year. We chose well. The house is really special and it was perfect for us.

We stayed at The Boatman’s Reading Rooms for 3 nights and can safely say it’s the most stylish holiday home we have stayed in.
Itge house occupies a brilliant location. Walking to the Zetland Arms (45mins) for Sunday Lunch was beautiful. 81 Beach Street was also a great dining experience.
Waking up in the morning to the most beautiful sunrise and sea view was the best!

Lovely house in excellent location. Plenty of activities for the children. We loved flying kites and played cricket on the green opposite. The terrace from the kitchen was really useful. The booking team were very helpful with suggestions of good restaurants. Lunch on the pier is a must.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Boatman's Reading Rooms: we can't recommend this place enough! Everything was exceptional from the communication on check-in, to the decor, to the location. It was the perfect long weekend stay for a group of girlfriends and one dog. We enjoyed beach walks, great access to local shops and restaurants and the view from the house is lovely.

We stayed at the Boatman's Reading Rooms as a group of 6 and it was excellent. We were celebrating my 87 year old dad's birthday and returned to Deal as my parents used to own a flat in Walmer overlooking the beach. The location was perfect for him to watch the world go by, watch and listen to the Sunday band at the bandstand from the front window, to relax on the beautiful sun deck and watch the activity at the lifeboat station, and to drop into Deal and enjoy the original shops and the food and drink.
The house was beautifully done up and presented, excellent bedrooms, a lovely living area and everything you wanted was at hand. My son enjoyed the fun outside bath and we enjoyed the impressive master bedroom in the basement. Car parking for 2 cars and lovely decoration and art in the house made it just perfect. We will return but for longer next time!

We has an amazing weekend break at the Boatmans reading rooms. The house is stunning with every little detail carefully thought through - and the outside bathtub is just the icing on the cake! The location is perfect and we enjoyed walks along the sea front as well as the very short trip to the local delicatessen and bakery!
