We thoroughly enjoyed our third stay at Bankside Cottage. The location is amazing. A few minutes walk and you are on the Dovedale trail which is a great family walk with a just enough adventure if climbing up to Reynard's Cave and Thorpe Cloud. The cottage is beautiful. It has everything you need and is extremely cosy. Vicki is a great host. You will definitely need a car if you are staying here as it is very remote but Ashbourne is only a short drive away with supermarkets, cafes, pubs and great takeaway options (especially Golden Hill Chinese and Market Place fish and chips).
