We had to do things in N Yorkshire end February/early March and could not have found a more suitable location for our needs. Easy access to loads of sites, walks, pubs for lunch, cafes for tea before coming back to spend lazy evenings with dogs in warm and cosy cottage. Or go to one of many pubs or restaurants just round the corner. This was in gloomy March weather. It must be heaven in summer. Will definitely return.
