A wonderful break in this superb cottage. Probably the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming without being intrusive-just the right balance. For those with dogs this place is perfect. From dog treats to lovely works It’s a must! All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this place and it most certainly is value for money!
We stayed at Tallentire Hall in Gardener’s Cottage for a short two night break on our way to Scotland. We were met on arrival by owner Ann who showed us around the accommodation. The cottage is part of of a beautiful Manor House set in extensive grounds. The cottage is very well presented, with all the facilities that we needed for a very comfortable stay. Access to the garden and grounds was an added bonus and the situation of the cottage was ideal for exploring the Lake District National Park. My husband and I with our dog Molly had a fantastic stay at Tallentire. The Hayloft was spotless and comfortable. The enclosed garden and quiet location was perfect for our anxious dog. Tallentire was a fabulous base for exploring local towns with great walks either from the doorstep or a short drive away. Thanks so much for a wonderful break - we will be booking again.
