The apt has been very carefully refurbished to a great standard Everything you need The views and tranquillity were great A central base to explore snowndonia or the Llyn peninsula with beautiful beaches so unspoilt Our favourite walk is Borth-y-Gest from the apt around the harbour then through the foot path and Llanbedrog Disappointed the price to go up Snowdon now and no dogs on the train Noticed no free parking since Covid But hope the parking funds goes to keep the area beautiful. We were blessed with fabulous weather
Our second visit and still fabulous! It was nice to have milk and Welsh cakes provided! A lovely cosy flat with ever-changing views of the estuary. Handy for walking into town and doing a costal walk to Borth Y Gest and beyond. Great cafes to stop at. The only thing missing are hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang clothes when showering!
A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a break away from everything. Clean and comfortable kitchen and living room and a big garden where my dog was in his element! Only 2 single beds in one room to sleep in though - was a bit of a squeeze for an adult! Nonetheless, a lovely place and a warm welcome.
This place was ideal for us, modern and spacious . It was very well equipped. Location is perfect for North Wales exploration. Walking distance to caernarfon. I would love to stay here again.
Property very comfortable,well equipped great location for ease of walks and amenities.Great views loved watching the boats and swans swimming up and down.
Very pleasant and comfortable flat, slightly dated, but with all necessary amenities. Pretty view over a spacious garden to the railway track with occasional steam trains passing.
The cottage was roomy and very comfortable. The location was stunning, with a large garden and wonderful views.
This is the second time we've stayed here, so that's telling you something. It's good property in a lovely location and it's clean and welcoming. The only issues (& they are minor) is that the chairs get a bit uncomfortable for watching television and we struggled with the firestick. Other than that, it was great.
Only issue was it was very cold in the toilet area, with the property . Great location. Great walks in the area.
The shower was faulty, kept turning off and on, meaning hot then freezing. The extractor fan in the shower room did not work. The extractor fan over the cooker did not work, nor did the light. For autumn, even with the storage heaters on, chilly. The tv was fine if you only want to watch BBC1. Surprisingly, able to pick up the other channels on my iPad through the same WiFi connection. Shortage of tea spoons - only 4 in a property advertised for 5 people.
The apartment had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, with beautiful views over the estuary and the cob. Watching the steam engines coming across from Boston Lodge in the morning was lovely. The only moan from my partner was he forgot his binoculars, being a train buff he suggested some little ones available would have been perfect! We had a fabulous time and can't wait to return again early next year. Thanks for everything STS.
We loved it . Location , position of flat everything was great . Only wish it was warmer so that we could have enjoyed the balcony !
Lovely accommodation with absolutely amazing views ! Nice private garden and decking to sit & enjoy the view! We had a lovely time in the very comfortable accommodation. The views & sunsets were breathtaking! Good communication from the company and the owner! Very satisfied and would love to go back! Thank you!
Hi, we loved our stay. The views were great, accommodation lovely. There were a couple of things that weren't clean but when I emailed, they were extremely quite to resolve. The sofa wasn't amazingly comfortable, but ok . All in all we loved our time in this accommodation
We have stayed in this apartment many times. It is aways clean, well presented and well equipped. As it says in the property title it is spacious and it does have good views. South Snowdon Wharf is in a good location for either walking direct from the apartment, always useful if you have a dog and don`t always want to drive. However it is in a good location as a travelling base. STS as usual were very helpful and the site easy to use. It won`t be long before we are booking for our next break 2025.
The views from the property were outstanding with the benefit of a corner plot with a double balcony. The location was excellent making it easy to walk to all amenities. I had expected a hair dryer to be in the property so hadn’t taken my own. The wardrobes in the main bedroom were very difficult to open and kept sliding off the runners.The bathroom was showing signs of wear around the grouting in the shower. These were minor issues and did not impact on our stay,which we really enjoyed.
Cosy ground floor flat with patio door opening onto a small private patio and the promenade (marina residents only). Short walk to town, passing the Ffestiniog/WHR narrow gauge railway station.
The only thing I think could be improved would be to rearrange the kitchen cupboards to provide room for food items---we left things on the worktop which was inconvenient & untidy. Apart from that, if you could provide better weather.........!
We enjoyed our annual autumn visit to Porthmadog, perhaps a little later this year. The flat was excellent as usual, with all that is required to act as a base to enjoy this scenic part of the country. We had a minor niggle with the toilet cistern, but this was resolved very quickly (thank you!), and was not a concern. We suffered from the mystery of disappearing teaspoons, but again we were provided with some more immediately. The view from the panoramic window and balcony was as good as we remembered, and the estuary birds always provided entertainment as the tide comes in and recedes. ...more
Beautiful location and outlook over the harbour. Good size, comfortable lounge/kitchen area for single or couple. Easy shopping and facilities within walking distance. Perfect for exploring the narrow gauge railways and wildlife around Porthmadog and Snowdonia.
Me, my partner and our little frenchie stayed for christmas. It was perfect for us all, looks exactly like the pictures/how described. Very peaceful! Lovely and clean and the hosts left us a bottle of bubbles and biscuits which was much appreciated thank you! Highly reccommend
The property was reasonably clean, but the fabric of the property was very tired. Unable to find any instructions for the cooker and unable to work one of the ovens. Considering the standard would not stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Green cottage .It was a perfect home to return to each day after exploring the wonderful local area. It’s a warm,comfortable home in a perfect location. Thank you for letting us stay ,we will definitely be returning to Borth y gest and would book again if the house is available.
Thoroughly enjoyed the short break in this ideal location. Have been to this area many times and have always had a lovely stay. Hopefully will be back again soon.
